Edit: Dec. 29, 2011
I am having issues with the mane files giving a weird white fuzzy outline, so they won't look as intended. I'm not sure how to fix this yet, so if you choose to use my fox presets, I suggest not putting manes on them. They may look a bit silly otherwise. XD
Currently Fixed. If you ever have any problems with my presets, feel free to message me or post on my thread.
To see my characters in the game when I'm running around, download from the link below, and put the .fhp files in your "presets" folder, not "my_presets." And that's all you have to do! To download my public presets, look under their pictures, or up here. If they have a link, it means they are ready to download! For instructions on their download, see the bottom of my post.

1/19/12 I am currently working on a hyena preset, but not quite sure how well it's going, I'd really love some feedback from people on how they think it could be improved, or what is missing, since I feel like something is. She won't be up for download probably for another week or so until I figure out if this is her final look.
Below are my finished presets.
I've only done a few presets so far, but the first I had to do was make one of my namesake, Windance.
I created her waaay back when WolfQuest first started, and her markings have remained somewhat the same since then. Her character was actually copyrighted back in 2009!
For her preset, I did use the shading available for the body from the game, but had to make the tail one myself.
She was known as being the pudgy wolfie that'd eat almost anything, which hasn't changed one bit.
Found an old Impressive Title pic of her!
FoxtrotFoxtrot's preset also used the texture in the game, besides the tail and mane which I make myself. I also made him a mane file, but not sure if I want him to have bangs or not in this game. He had them in IT, but may be too much on this.
Foxtrot is another one of my fave characters I made, he even had a teeny poem to go with him:
Foxtrot, Foxtrot,
The fox that likes
to yip a lot!
When I'd play as him, he'd have a speech impediment, and always had to have a "yip" or a "yap" in each sentence...which is why I don't play him too often. It can annoy a few people.
BerserkerBerserker was my first, and only evil character I made way back on Impressive Title. I made him to go with the Graveyard map I made (when it got in the patch I freakin' felt like I won an award XD). He was basically the gravekeeper, and a shepard for the damned. He was--and looks more like it now--undead, forever cursed to keep the souls of the foulest monsters on earth from leaving the graveyard. There was a little bloodied alter I'd have him perch on, and he'd try to coax curious onlookers to wander near it, in hopes of sacrificing them to calm the lost souls. Yeah, pretty emo character, didn't rp with him often. The screenies don't give him justice sadly. His markings "pulse" with green energy about every second, almost like a heartbeat, and his wings swirl and change color slightly. The vid below the image isn't as good as I'd hoped it would be, but you can at least tell stuff is moving.
Link to the vid on YouTubeFound some old pictures of him, baby pics! XD
Looks like I mixed up his pelt color a bit...but this way I kind of like him more lol.
Dusker/Duskit (haven't finalized the name yet):This is my work in progress hyena that I think I've finished temporarily. Her coloring isn't too realistic to spotted hyenas, and I may have to edit it later because that may bug me lol.
She's got mottled light spots in right eye's iris, and both sides of her are a different pattern.

This is Dusker 2.0:

She's still a work in progress, and I'm always welcome to ideas. I'm still not sure if I should keep her this way, or make her look realistic with her coloring.
Here are some generic fox skins that will be down-loadable when I can make it so. The Left is more of a desert fox skin (inspired by the endangered Fennec Fox) and the right is the typical red fox. I may add more colors later, but kinda running out of room for presets. XD.
Edit: Now Downloadable!
Click this Link to Download both Skins.I have this friend I'm trying to convince to join the game...but he likes horses. :S To be specific, My Little Pony, so I said screw it and tried to bribe him by making a preset of his fancharacter lol.
I know people don't like horse rpers all over the place here, but I don't really care. Heck, I was around IT when wolves didn't exist, and we got discriminated for rping that. :/
Not sure if this is the final look yet, emailed it to him to see what he'll think.
I've also had friends that like to rp as horses (although people get flack on here for it), so I thought I'd work on horse presets for people to use if they wanted. So far I've gotten:
Brown HorseBlack HorseI made the fur texture myself, since I know they have much shorter hair than wolves. It's supposed to look a bit softer, but I may have to improve it later.
If people actually like these, or think they are good enough to make downloadable, I can set something up, and even add more colors if people are interested.

INSTRUCTIONS1. When you download the preset, it will come in a .zip folder, and archive folder. You can unzip the folder, or copy the folders within it.
2. You'll find the folders named "preset_(insert number here)," which will overwrite your preset folder. If you wish to NOT overwrite that specific folder, you'll have rename the folder the preset is in, and go into the preset.material file in that folder and change the number of the preset. The preset will not show up otherwise.
3. After your files are in the correct position, open up Feral Heart and go to Preset Maker. Scroll down to find the folder, click it, and ta da! The preset colors should show up. Check to make sure that the files are working, and nothing is appearing as white or missing, then click export.
4. Log in, and you should be able to edit your character, and find the new export under your preset options! Congrats, you have a new skin!
If you are having trouble getting the preset to work, or have followed the directions but need extra help, feel free to message me and I will help in any way I can.
