 I love GDW, but I liked GNG more.
John's and Riku's (Teru's dad) death in GDW made me sad. ;w;
Favorite GDW characters: John (<33), Jerome, Kaibutsu (Hey, he's a character! xD), Genba, Kyoshiro, Gin, Akame and Smith-San.~

Weed.. overall, I hated him. >w> He was waaaaay too soft hearted imo. (And he didn't even kill Hougen. xD Lightning did. ;P)

One very good series. Many fun hours watching it. The length of the series is also a plus. I think I like jerome the most from GDW. Not sure why though. He's just kewl. rofl.

I'm happy that I watched GNG before GDW however. Would probably been alot of empty holes if not.

Both series are extremely good. And it's deffently something you'd be able to rewatch in the future with ease. Much lurb for it.

 I'll warn you then.. the main "villains" death in GNG is VERY VIOLENT and weird. xD
But yeah, GNG, definitely worth watching. I would've recommended it before watching GDW, though. Since GNG came first.

Blood that looks like the animator's red ink pen broke all over the scene.
the same 4 dogs die in different scenes in different episodes

I loved it.
