Celebrating the OLD FH days...

As much as I miss the old FH maps and that old character the game had, I'm going to approach this from a different perspective.

I do believe that offering the maps up for download or reintroducing a few would be a great idea, but I feel an official event would just be a bit too much. Celebrating the past is appropriate to a certain point—in Feralheart's case, I feel focusing on the future is the better decision at the moment. As much as I would love to relive the memories I made running through the old maps, I want to be seeing new content and community events. Focusing too much on the past can hurt a community sometimes, and I personally believe it would do more harm than good here, despite having good intentions.

I'm gonna have to agree with Alpha here- I love and miss the "old FH" as much as the next guy. I've been here since 2011 and Fluorite was my spot. But an official event for this might cause some members to look more to the past rather than the future that is in the works for this game. If we're to improve FH and keep it thriving, we need to focus on the newer stuff and future updates.

However, I would be totally supportive of a member-hosted event like... Maybe some sort of scavenger hunt through the old maps, or hide and seek? That sounds like fun. c:

it'd be nice to see really anything new community-side at this point.
whether it be member created and staff promoted, or just an event run by staff.

i don't thin bringing back the old maps/integrating them back in will do much in the way of benefiting or vice versa.

I thought of the same idea before, and I sugest that you create a public event in the anouncements inviting people to join one map each weekend day.
Let's say, next saturday and sunday to be called: The Fluorite plains day, inviting people to come to that map , then pick another map for next week.
That way you make sure that the maps won't be alone like a graveyard.

I do like that idea, but I see some issues with this and the original post.
If that was the case, people would most likely have to download only the Fluorite Plains map, in order to avoid ''exploration'' of other maps as well.
There's still the issue with complaints during the event. As Alpha and Foxx have mentioned above, the whole event would most likely end up with people talking about old Feral Heart and bringing back old maps, etc etc.

I'm in for this. Honestly, if there can exist 80's themed parties in real life, for people who miss that time, then we can do this too. Without hesitation.
Who cares if people are gonna wish back the old maps? Let them. Let them talk about it so much that they'll begin to focus on other stuff, and be excited for the next Old FH event!
Most people should know it's out of discussion to change the new patch back to the old.

But that's my thoughts.

As said before, this isn't something that I could see being official for various reasons but it could for sure be spearheaded by members themselves. Somebody could just go ahead and make a thread w/ a set date and a link to one of the downloads. Seems like people would be down for it so it's just a matter of organizing/announcing it. Would be neat to have a get together of this sort.

I personally would like to join in on something like this.

I love the newer maps with all their detail and creativity, but I still have a soft spot in my heart for the old maps.
Seeing those locations alive again would be so amazing.
