Personality: Typical characteristics of an alpha. Confident, wise, and extremely protective with a fiery temper. Short fused, yet caring.

Bio: Maska was the alpha of a decent sized pack. He and his mate had four newborn pups in the den when it happened. He was returning from nightly patrol when he found his entire pack dead, slaughtered by each other, and by an unseen force. In the den, he found his mate, lifeless with three massecured pups by her, and Koda, cowering in the corner. Immediately, Maska grabbed the pup and left the territory.

Shibe let out a low sigh, shoulders and chest moving tiredly with the exhalation as he continued down his non-existent path downhill, ears twitching as branches and leaves caught on them and his fur. Licking his maw, the deep brown wolf shuddered as blood ran down his foreleg, remembering the somewhat lucky encounter.
He had managed to escape most of an angry bear's wrath, a few miles back, as he had stepped a paw too close to her cubs accidentally. Hence the wound. He adverted his gaze from the path, glancing around him idly. Shibe wondered, distantly, where all the wolf packs were. He had been traveling alone for months now after leaving his old pack up north, and he was currently looking for the rumored pack that had been south of his pack's territory. So far, no such sign of them.

Accompanied by: Her sibling, Ersha
Personality: Asha is a stubborn wolf who normally would want to listen to herself more than anyone else, but she's learned to control it when the leader instructs her to do something. She's outgoing and is willing to take risks. Asha can be gentle and understanding towards you, but if you get her ticked off, her attitude will explode and she will snap at you.
Description/Picture: Asha is a Hudson Bay wolf, who is all white except for her dark tan ears. She has a small scar running across her muzzle.
Bio: When Asha was a pup, she had no siblings except for Ersha since they died due to the cold weather. As she grew up, her mother was mysteriously murdered, and her father was forced to look after her and her sibling. After her mother's death, her father was cruel and insane since he once tried to murder them. When the wolves began to attack each other, her father once again tried to kill Ersha, but Asha killed him instead, quickly snatching up the pup and fleeing.

Personality: Ersha is thought to be playful and mischievous, a small prank forming in her mind. Although she can be silly, she is normally focused and stubborn, like her sister. Ersha is willing to socialize with you, but she can be shy with older wolves. She is easily offended and has a slight temper.
Description/Picture: A Hudson Bay wolf, all white with a dark tan head.
Bio: Ersha was almost killed by her father, but her sister, Asha, killed their father and fled with her, escaping the territory. She doesn't like talking about her past and is very uncomfortable with it.

The smell of his own blood was sharp against the chill in the air, but he ignored it, the metal tang. He was vaguely worried another predator would smell the crimson liquid and attack, though Shibe pushed the thoughts from his head as a sharp, echoing crack ripped through the sky, a flash of light following as rain dripped soundlessly from above.
He winced as the sudden downpour soaked him, breaking into a quick trot. Shibe let a grunt slip from his maw as bushes caught on his pelt, but he pushed forward, seeking shelter under a large boulder that overhung over a slab of stone, a temporary safe-haven. The wolf looked, tiredly, out at the sheets of rain tumbling heavily to the earth.

She sighed quietly as she stalked into the cave and shook her pelt free of the water. This made her fur fluff a little, while her facial expression showed that it annoyed her. She laid down on her stomach, and watched the rain pour down from inside.

Maska slowly padded through the thin rows of trees in the nearly dead forest. Behind him, Koda trotted tight at his tail, shooting occasional nervous glances in every direction. Up above, grey clouds began to churn, the pre-rain scented breeze lightly rustling the leaves and indicating the sky would soon break open. Running his tongue over his nose, Maska flattened his ears, giving his head a brisk shake as the first droplets of rain splattered onto his face, and quickly became more constant until it had transformed into a heavy downpour. The pup behind him tucked his small tail between his legs and scampered beneath his father for shelter. Maska reached around and quickly snatched Koda up by his scruff and broke into a swift trot, his stern golden eyes scanning for any possible shetler to escape the rain. At last, he stumbled across a small cave that seemed suitable, the pouring water practically drowning out any possible scents that may have usually lingered here, so Maska made a break for it.

Abyss blinked, gazing out at the rain from the cave the apparition had led her to. It'sconing down pretty hard out there... She thought, her searing eyes capturing the crack of lightning that flung itself across the sky. She braced herself for the thunder that shook the ground with its sound.

Koda whimpered pathetically as a loud crack of thunder exploded above, lightning lighting up the forest for a split second following. Maska sneezed some rain water from his nostrils and dipped his head as he slowly entered the cave. Just as he set the pup down and gave his heavy coat a violent shake to free it of the water weight, the distinct scent of a wolf made him scrunch his muzzle. Instantly, he went into defensive mode, immediately considering the unseen stranger to be a threat, simply out of instinct. He curled his lips away from his ivories in a low snarl. "Who's there?" He barked, knowing if it was one of the zombie-like wolves, the only response would be an immediate attack.

Asha
Thunder filled Asha's ears as sudden rain poured down on them, drenching their pelts as the two wolves trekked down the muddy hill. A thick layer of darkness hung around them, and lightning shot down from the sky as if it was trying to reach out to them. Avoiding the pointed rocks, Asha abruptly snatched Ersha, clamping her jaws around her sister's scuff. The pup let out a cry as the thunder rumbled in the distance, but Asha ignored both of them, narrowing her eyes as her dark optics scanned the area for shelter. Two rocks gave way to shelter - one leaning against the other for support as a roof. Deciding not to waste any more time, the Hudson Bay wolf darted towards the rocks, releasing her grip on Ersha's scuff and nudging the pup under. Once her sibling had settled down, Asha scooted in, stretching out under the shelter as she rested her head between her paws, blinking once every while when the rain droplets splattered onto the tip of her muzzle and onto her tail. She felt Ersha snuggle next to her as the pup closed her eyes, allowing sleep to cover her. Protectively curling around Ersha, Asha willing surrendered herself to sleep, her eyes slowly closing as the rain continued - streaks of lightning flashing through the sky and small rumbles of thunder scattered.

Immediately, Maska ceased his snarling, letting his lips fall back over his fangs as he straightened up in relief. "I'm sorry. Thought you might have been one of those cannibalistic freaks." He huffed, cupping his ears forward. "My name is Maska. And this is Koda." He gestured to the cowering pup who was now crouched behind him. "I'm terribly sorry if we're intruding. I was- unaware this cave was occupied. Just trying to get out of the rain." The brute added in a gruff tone, a small puddle slowly beginning to form beneath him as the leftover rain water dripped off his coat.

Ersha
Ersha jerked awake to the sound of the thunder crashing through the sky. It felt as if it were right by her ear. Frightened, the pup nuzzled Asha awake, trembling slightly. "Asha, I'm cold. I'm cold all the way to my nose and to my tail." She complained, pawing at her muzzle. She felt Asha stir a little, before the female wolf lifted her head.
"Just go back to sleep. The storm will be over - I hope." She replied, tucking her muzzle underneath her paw.
Huffing, the pup rolled to her side, reluctantly closing her eyes for sleep to come again.

]Shibe's grey gaze shot open at the sound of distant -- but growing closer -- voices, ranging in age and gender.
The injured wolf's ears perked, eager now and hoping that finally he would encounter some of the wolves from the pack he had been traveling south for in the first place.
Raising his head, he called a low "Is anyone there?" as light scuffles of paws and high-pitched whimpers squalled, almost around the corner.
(@Oreo, Shibe is also under a boulder area thingy. xD.
And he also has no idea of the infected wolves... Just a fyi)

I'm finally back! I hope to be as active as I once was. So sorry. I may aswell put Zanu back up here! He's one of my favorite characters ^^
Name: Zanu
Gender: Male
Accompanied by: A Red-Kite named Khar
Personality: Zanu is an experienced, muscular, mature wolf, he is a wise wolf as well, as he has seen too many things to be ignorant to even the slightest detail. He is usually quiet and doesnt talk much. His deepest trust is with Khar.
Description/Picture: He has a dark grey upper pelt, and a slightly lighter lower pelt. his fur, when seen in strong light, has a brown tinge to it, making him look like a different wolf. he has a large 'x' like scar across his shoulder, along with a lot of others, though it is the most noticeable. he also has two feathers tied to his left leg, they are actually Khar's feathers, to show that they will not be separated.
Bio: Zanu was raised in a tough pack, where each day was a fight to survive. this caused the pack to become extremely disorganized. Each day, a high rank was challenged, and sometimes a new beta would step up, and the old one would leave the pack, or become omega. Zanu was born of hunter blood, his family had been through generations of experienced hunters, and Zanu was no exception. when the disease struck, things got harsher. Zanu had been out hunting at the time, and came back to find his pack gone. he had found only one survivor from this, a Red-Kite chick, a very rare bird, only meant to show itself to those worthy. he kept the chick safe, fed, and warm, until he became fully grown. Zanu attempted to let him go, so he could go his own way, but he refused, and Khar now follows Zanu wherever he goes.Even though he has gotten used to solitude, he now endlessly searches for any survivors of his pack, trying to find his home, a home, where he can keep his soul and trust.

Koda perked his ears at the fae, quickly ducking back to hide behind his dad's leg again. Maska dipped his head at the stranger respectfully, then tilted it a bit in question. "Heading south? On your own? Forgive me for saying so, but don't you believe in safety in numbers? I know it's a pretty blunt statement, but don't you think we'd all be safer by sticking together? You never know when one of those freaks will attack, and if they catch you alone they'll rip you to shreds." He murmured.

She sighed faintly. "Every pack I've been in has gotten either slaughtered by them, or they turned up having the virus. I bring bad luck to every group, therefore I believe that it's better for everyone if I were on my own."

Asha
Once Ersha had settled down, Asha softly sighed, before resting her head onto her paws once again. She couldn't help but think of the pup as annoying, but she shoved away the thoughts, deciding that now was not the time to think about it. Yawning, she was about to close her eyes when a voice suddenly drifted into her ear. Whipping her head into the direction of the voice, Asha curled her lip, narrowing her eyes as they spotted a dark figure near the entrance. She wasn't sure if it was an infected wolf, but the appearance and speech made it obvious. Still wary, the female wolf rose to her paws, pressing herself in front of Ersha as she glared into the direction of the figure. "Who are you?" she barked, her eyes darting around the shelter. She couldn't come up with a better question - it had been the first sentence that formed in her mind.

A female's distinct voice had traveled over to him, worrying him when no other voices or defensive growls met his perked ears.
Had he simply found a loner, rather than the Wind Song pack he had been searching for in the first place, all these weeks of traveling for naught? Shibe knew their territory was here, remembered it. He'd seen several landmarks and their smell slightly lingered, along with an unusual and unidentified smell... Something that chilled him. The male was pulled out of his thoughts abruptly as wind whirled into the shelter, ruffling his thick pelt and blowing against the already drenched fur.
"Hello there," he said, tone nervous. "I mean no harm. Just wishing for shelter from this unfortunate weather,"

Asha
The fur on Asha's back relaxed, but suspicion still glinted in the wolf's eye. Cautiously padding over to the figure, she paused in front of him and took several sniffs, analyzing the scent as her eyes narrowed slightly. She had never inhaled the scent of this wolf, or at least she didn't recall it. He didn't seem much of a threat - his tone sounds nervous, though, but otherwise, he was legitimate enough. "Very well," she growled, still reminding him gently that she would harm him, "but don't think of doing anything stupid!" she warned, although she knew she couldn't do much. Just wishing he would think she was bold enough to lay a paw on him, Asha turned and was about to pad over to Ersha when she realized the pup was standing next to her.
"W-who's that?" Ersha quivered, shifting closer to her sister.
"A random wolf," Asha replied briskly, nudging the pup back to her spot. "Don't worry. I hope - I pray he won't harm us." She added, trying to make her voice sound reassuring. When Ersha settled back down, Asha turned towards the male wolf, carefully resting her haunches in a wary movement. Silence hung damp over them, before the female wolf cleared her throat awkwardly and turned towards the newcomer. "So," Asha began, random words forming in her mind. "You fleeing too?"

He tried to zone out their hushed, quick conversation, though some bits of the words leaked through - pray he won't harm us - and the weather-worn wolf lowered himself tiredly to the stone below him, keeping his ears trained on the rapid splashed of water on rock, the only sound in the cave other then themselves and the rolling thunder.
Shibe's grey eyes shifted towards her as she spoke, and his head tilted of it's own accord. "Ah, fleeing? No, I'm afraid not... I'm here in search of an old friend of mine, an Alpha of the Wind Songs. Do you know of him?" The dark brown wolf asked, laying his head on his paws neatly, as if to minimize his size. Hopefully less threatening this way, he thought.

Accompanied by: The horrid ghost of his father.
Personality: Quite strict and protective. He doesn't trust most due to his horrid past.
Description/Picture: ^
Bio: Dusk was in the pack of the Druids. Soon a virus attacked and he watched in horror as his pack tore eachother alart. Siblings against sibling....Father against son. He was watching as his own father killed his mother. He could see him still tearing his mothers throat out. It was horrifying and still haunts his dreams. This causes rages in him that he can no longer control. When he gets angry he imediately goes for the nearest wolf.

Dusk trotted through the dense forest. He was always glancing around so he could avoid oters. He didn't want to get mad and harm one of them...even to the point of death. His gaze shifted from side to side. His mother being murdered flashed in his mind. He kept shaking it iut of his head.

Abyss yawned faintly as she looked around the cave that sheilded her, the male, and his pup from the rain. Her solid ebony pelt was dry now, and her searing yellow eyes caught the light of the lightning as it flashed across the sky outside.

Dusk cameacross a cave. He didn't see anyone around so he decided to go in. But as heentered he spotted three wolves. He quickly bolted out of there. He wasn't going to risk hurting someone.

Abyss glanced up at the wolf that had pitched almost like a horse as he ran out. She cocked her head to the side a little and blinked, raising a brow.

Maska huffed. "Well then. Suit yourself." The brute muttered. He raised his head and glanced around as the sound of footsteps echoed in the cave. Instinctively, he hopped to his feet and turned, baring his ivories at the stranger whom he immediately dubbed a threat. However, as it quickly bolted instead of attacking, he stopped his growling, his protective expression fading into one of confusion. "Uh- What was that..." He murmured, tipping his head to the side. Koda stared wide-eyed at the cave entrance, not shifting his gaze from it.

He kept glancing back at the cave not far from him as he sat diown. "I can't keep running from others...." He mumbled to himself.

"Yeah, I know." Maska murmured quietly, his eyes still fixed on the outside of the cavern. With a shrug, he slowly shifted himself back to his haunches. "Well that was weird."

She nodded and watched a fly as it buzzed around her ears. She snapped her jaws at it, making it leave her alone for the time being.

Asha relaxed a little at the sight of the wolf - he looked calm and gentle. Shaking off the thought, her ears perked at his question, and her head tipped to one side. "Alpha of the Wind Songs?" she repeated under her breath, as if she were tasting the words. Glancing back up at the male wolf, she shook her head. "No, sorry. Either I don't know him, or I don't remember." Asha added, stretching out as well. "If you don't mind me asking - what do you need him for?"

The wolf chuckled, giving his head a bob slowly. "That's fine. They can be elusive when they want to." Shibe said, grey gaze going fuzzy for a moment, as if remembering something from a long while ago. "Ah... He's an old friend of mine... something of a brother to me. I owe him a visit, his mate should've had her pups by now and I want to meet them." He said happily, an eye-crinkling smile darting across his visage.
He was silent for a moment, smile fading but gaze still friendly. "Now, my name is Shibe. What might your name be, friend?" Shibe asked good-naturedly, then glanced down at the pup. "And yours, if you don't mind?"

Asha
A wry smile appeared on Asha's face, but she quickly hid it, lowering her head. Yes, even though this wolf was gentle towards her, she still didn't feel very comfortable with another stranger. "Oh, pups." She nodded at his words, understanding. "Well, if I ever do come across a wolf named Wind Songs, I'll be sure to inform you," Asha promised. But I don't think we'll ever see each other again. She objected in her mind, keeping her maw shut. At his question, she opened her maw to responded when Ersha suddenly bounced towards them.
"I'm Ersha! And, boy, do you sure stink!" The pup exclaimed, her tail furiously wagging in the darkness. Alarm shot through Asha as she embarrassingly nudged the pup away.
"Hush, Ersha. Don't be so rude." She scolded the pup. "Now apologize at once." When Ersha remained silent, Asha threw an awkward glance at Shibe. Dipping her head, she avoided eye-contact with him as she murmured, "I apologize for my sister. Her attitude seems to be out of control today." Deciding to quickly change the subject, she added, "Asha the name. And as you know, this - " Resisting the urge to use the word "ignorant", she continued, "pup is Ersha." Gazing back up at Shibe, she craned her neck to peer over his shoulder. The darkness still hung over them, and the storm continued. Asha sighed, wondering when the storm would end. She didn't like the feeling of being stick with a stranger in a stuffy shelter. At least it's better than nothing, she decided quietly, averting her gaze back at Shibe. "Have you eaten yet?" she asked randomly, trying to keep the conversation going.

Shibe chuckled at the young pups words, giving a nod. "Yes... Blood and wet fur isn't a very nice smell, is it?" he asked the pup, smiling faintly. "Oh, no, his pack is Wind Songs. His name is Alabaster. My apologies, I didn't clarify..."
Shibe, despite his airy, carefree tendencies, was quite observant. He picked up on her discomfort with his presence, and he was thankful she tolerated him. His attention perked as she spoke, grey eyes focusing on her once more. "No, I'm afraid I haven't in a day or so. The... prey seems sparse around here."

Zanu had the feeling that there was something else beside him around here. He looked up at the grey sky, spotting the rusty flash of Khar's wing.
He was too far up to be called by voice, so Zanu risked a calling howl to bring him down.
The red kite heard, and recognized, the howl of Zanu. Where the red kite had been was now a red blur as he dived down to his companion.
"Yes?" Khar asked as he landed swiftly on Zanu's shoulder.
"Scout out a bit further wont you? I have a strange feeling we're not alone..."
Khar nodded before taking of again.

Abyss blinked, watching the rain only quicken its pace and harden its downfall. "It's really coming down out there..."

Rain beat on Dusk's pelt as he sat still in the middle of it all. He began to have flash backs of the blood splattering death of his mother. He shook it out of his head and let out a sorrowful howl. He had no where to go. No one to turn to. He had nothing in his life anymore.

Maska simply nodded at Abyss to acknowledge her comment, then padded further into the cavern to get away from the splattering droplets and cold mist that rose near the cave entrance from the downpour. Laying down near one of the walls, he kept his gaze fixed hypnotically on the opening, watching as the rain violently fell just outside. The small black pup quickly scrambled over to him, wasting no time before curling into a tight ball near Maska's chest in an attempt at warmth.

She nodded. "May I ask where the two of you are from?"

Maska tore his gaze from the rain sheeted entrance to glance over at the fae. "Not far North of here." He replied gruffly, ears swiveling forward. "And you?"

"The west." She blinked, watching a couple of rats playing and tumbling around on the cave floor.

Asha
A cloud of relief hung over Asha at Shibe's reply. She was relieved that he didn't make a fuss over Ersha's comment, as in what other male wolves had done when the pup blurted out random words. When the male wolf explained that the Alpha's name was really Alabaster, not Wind Songs, an "oops" escaped her mouth. At his answer, her ears perked and pity overwhelmed her.
"When the storm stops, we can go hunting, I suppose." Asha offered, trying to make her tone at a friendly level. Glancing down at the pup, she added, "and Ersha needs something to eat as well. She was complaining the whole time through the storm."
At her words, the pup leaped to her paws in objection. "Liar! I was brave! I put up with the hunger and fought my way through!" Ersha protested furiously.
"Okay, okay." Asha muttered, before adding under her breath, "the last time I checked, you were wailing and pouting all the way." Flicking an ear, she averted her gaze back to Shibe, waiting for his answer.

He forced down the - manly - giggle that attempted to escape his maw, a snort escaping him at instead.The pup amused him, with her fierce insistence and attitude. "I'm sure you were quite brave," he said with a grin, fur bristling against the small breeze that whistled in to the cramped cave.
"I would like that, thank you." Shibe replied to the pale wolf, grinning lightly. "...Now, may I ask, why are you traveling on your own?"

Asha
Asha stared at Shibe for a moment, before a light frown descended onto her face. She glanced down at Ersha, before pushing the pup closer to her as if she were protecting her. A nod moved her head at the black wolf's answer, and she wondered how it would be like - hunting with a total stranger. She didn't enjoy calling Shibe a stranger, but in general, he would be considered one to her. They were not even friends or acquaintance, so she supposed it gave her the right to call him that.
Snapping back to reality, Asha stared blankly at Shibe for a moment, before realizing that he had asked her a question. When she remembered, a cough violently escaped her maw, and she shook her head, embarrassingly glancing back at the brute. "Sorry about that," she apologized, clearing her throat awkwardly as she glanced down at Ersha, expecting the pup to do something. When her sister remained still, Asha meekly returned her gaze to Shibe, her paw slowly rubbing against the ground - a nervous habit she had encountered.
"Oh - um, traveling on my own?" She repeated, as if he were deaf and she was making his question louder for him. "Well, you see..." Asha trailed off for a moment, wondering if she should share her information with Shibe. Is it okay to lie? It's just for one thing... Asha was unsure whether Shibe was friends with her father or not - was he here to harm them? "...my pack's gone mad - they're killing each other." She blurted out, pressing Ersha closer to her. "I would appreciate it if you don't hurt Ersha and me - we've been already attacked once."

Maska dipped his head in a nod, his glance drifting back over to the entrance of the cave. The squeaking of the few rats who scampered around the small cave caught Koda's attention. Perking his ears, the small black pup clumsily climbed over Maska's forelegs, between which he had been curled up until now, and flopped down onto the dirt ground. Sights locked on the rats, Koda crept forward and with a sudden bark of amusement, flung himself at them. The rats, obviously, scattered as the pup mindlessly chased them in circles before accidentally slamming chest-first into Abyss' side. With a grunt, Koda clambered backwards from the sudden cease of momentum, quickly scrambling to his paws when he realized who he had ran into. Flattening his ears, he stared wide-eyed up at the ebony female before instantly dashing back to the safety of Maska's side.

She laughed a little. "You've got quite the little hunter on your hands." She said with another smile directed towards the pup.

Ears perked forward, Maska smirked lightly at Abyss before giving Koda an encouraging nudge with his nose. "Heh, sure do." He simply murmured. Koda buried his face in his father's chest fur, peeking out at the fae occasionally.

She smiled and listened to the rain. "If we're lucky, we may see the Lights." She was referring to the Northern Lights.

The lightening crackled outside, briefly illuminating the cave, the sharp light briefly catching Shibe's eyes as he curiously watched Asha, the female seemingly growing more tense the longer the conversation went on. He was about to say something about her silence, apologize or take back his question, when she replied. He was... baffled, to say the least.
They've gone mad? he asked himself silently, shifting uneasily in the dim light. Once she continued he quickly assured, "No, I would never, I assure you. I will leave once the rain stops if you honestly are uncomfortable - I'll even go now if you wish." Shibe said, ears laying back and moving to stand.

Dusk began to shiver as his pelt was drenched. He quickly snapped back to now and shook out his pelt. All though the cave was just behind him he ignored it and trotted over to a tree not too far from the cave. If you exited the cave you could probably see him. He soon ha layed himself under the tree trying not to get soaked.

Alarm shot up Asha as Shibe moved to stand, and she too aburtly stood up, making Ersha let out a yelp of surprise. "N-no!" she blurted, but quickly cleared her throat again at her child-voice-like talk. "No, please stay. I didn't mean to sound so harsh. "Besides, you'd get hurt or worse if you don't find shelter in the storm." She added, cautiously laying back down again. "I'm sorry - I won't accuse you again."

He, too, jumped at her sudden words, eyes widening and sitting quickly back onto his haunches, lowering his head nervously. "I- Well, if you're sure. Just say the word and I will leave..." Shibe said slowly, ears ticking backwards.
He was quiet for a moment, then elaborated on what she had previously said. "Your pack went mad? What... What happened, may I ask?"

Asha
She still felt a little embarrassed by her abrupt objection, and her paw resumed to a slow slide against the ground. At Shibe's question, Asha's ear twitched slightly as she glanced at the storm again. "It's hard to explain," she began, squinting her eyes in attempt to remember. "I-I don't know really - it just came on us. It was just a normal morning...everything was alright. But we heard some snarling followed by a yelp, and then that's when we realized that one of our pack members had killed another one. I guess - that's when the massacre followed." Asha muttered, deliberately leaving out the part with her and her father. Raising her head to look at Shibe, she asked, "And you? What happened to yours, if I may ask?"

Dusk pelt got even more wet. The tree didn't help much. He shivered and tried to stay warm but his attempts failed. He shivered and felt really weak. He took up enough courage and padded slowly back to the cave which he had seen the other wolves before. He walked in a ways becore speaking. "Can I stay here till the rain stops?" He mumbled then he eventually collapsed on the floor.

Maska flicked an ear backward and flashed a quick smile. "Perhaps. If this nasty weather clears up." He responded in a low tone.

He nodded his breath beginning to slow down.

Personality: Serene, reserved, tolerant and wise. Trustworthy and reliable, sometimes a buzzkill, and rather serious but kind to every species.
Description: A brownish/grayish wolf with a darker underbelly and darker sock-like markings on her paws and a mask-like orange marking on her head.
Bio: She doesn't really know... She just went to a meditating trip with Tuk, and when she came back, everyone was dead. Investigation proved they killed each other... And now she wants to find why.

Khar could just about see through the sheet of rain, and all he could see were trees. He had a short scan, but could find nothing in the pelting rain.
Soon he came flying down to Zanu's shoulder. "I can't see anything through this rain" He said shortly.
Zanu nodded, and quickened his pace. Khar decided to fly ahead anyway to try to be of some use, if only little in the harsh weather.

Abyss sighed faintly and laid her head onto her paws. The rain outside was getting better, but it was still barreling down like rocks.

Massacre? He thought in shock, ears falling back on his skull idly. "I... I am quite sorry. I've never heard anything such as this happening." Shibe murmured faintly, gaze adverting to the stone below them, snout giving a faint crinkle.
"I never really had one, to be honest. I left my puphood pack as soon as I came of age. Never found a reason to settle into another one before..." The dark brown wolf said, hesitant as he eyed the two. "I am very sorry about your pack... If I may be so bold, perhaps you could travel the rest of the way to find the Wind Songs, with me? They are a kind pack, I am sure they would take you - And little Ersha - in."

Personality: Nik can be shy and timid but when he is needed he'll be there. He protects who he cares for.

Bio: Do I really need to right it all out again? Ughhh....
Nik was born with a deformed back leg. He was thrown out of his pack when he was a pup and was expected to die. But he was lucky, and survived. His brother, Flaire, and his father, Nixon, hate him and want him gone.

Nik trotted at the side of a riverbed. He panted softly, his mouth open and showing two rows and yellowing teeth. Behind him Marv weaved through nothing, seeming to be way to happy for the occasion.

Abyss sighed faintly. Her sight had begun to darken from lack of sleep. Soon, she would most likely drift off into a well deserved rest.

Khar swooped down low, water skimming off his wings. As darkness approached, Khar knew him and Zanu would need a place to rest. He dived even lower, so that he was just above the tree tops, peering into the undergrowth. His eyes glimpsed as small dark dot as he flew over, and he quickly turned around, landing in a tree beside the suspected cave. Once he had confirmed it as a cave, he flew back to Zanu to inform him.
"A cave huh? Anything in it?" Zanu asked him.
"I didn't check"
"It doesn't matter, I'm soaked to the bone and tired, I'll happily share with anyone, even if it is an angry bear." He muttered, trotting along till he reached the entrance of the cave.

Nik contenued to trot down the side of the river, his paws making the pebbles make a rattling sound. But the smaller sounds from behind him stopped. He stopped and turned. Marv's fur was at end and he was staring at an patch of bushes. Confused, Nik walked over to Marv and looked at the bushes. Gleaming blue eyes showed through the leafs. A grey wolf jumped out into sight. His ears are torn off and all his rips could be seen. Slobber dripped in huge globs off his yellow teeth.
"Beslubbering! Hes got the Foaming-Mouth Disease or something," Nik said to Marv. He turned and ran, not wanting to be anywhere near the grey wolf. But it followed. He had amazeing speed for his condition.

Gender: Male
Accompanied by: A dull minded Crow called Malck.
Personality: Nixon wants everything to be perfect. He can't have any weakness.
Description/Picture: Nixon is all white with green eyes.
Bio: Nixon was the Beta of his pack. He had one litter with his mate but one of the pups was born with a mutated back leg and he threw it out. But he met up with the pup again, this time as an adult going by the name of Nik.

The grey wolf easily caught up with Marv and pinned him down. His mouth opened to bite down on the feline. Nik stopped, his feet dragged in the ground, making dirt and grass fly up into the air. He turned and jumped at the wolf, landing on his back, his teeth buried in the wolf's fur and flesh.

Nik moved backward with his head low and panting. The wolf who had saved him was infected with whatever the grey wolf had. He lowered himself to the ground and tucked his tail between his legs. This must be the female's territory and she was in it. He didn't want trouble so he made it clear he wasn't looking for any. Marv was oblivious to Nik's actions and ran up to Abyss. His tail wagging as if he was a wolf.

Thoran just stared at the whole scene. Tuk was confused, she limited herself to shaking her head slowly. "Tisk, tisk, tisk. These wolves do not know what peace is", Thoran said. Tuk knocked on her head. "Tuk. I know. We are alone without anyone from our family. These wolves could help us. But! They are violent wolves! They fight! There is the possibility they would attack us! We should just find herbivores", Thoran said.

Abyss's ears swiveled to the sound of voices.

Nik stood, a little confused that the female would just attack the grey wolf and leave without a word. Ageist his better judgement he followed her, far behind. Only because he was curious.

She blinked and sighed faintly. She glanced back, seeing that she was being followed.

Nik's ears went back and his tail was tucked between his legs as soon as he saw that he was noticed.
"I'm sorry, I am alone and I don't think I can stay alive long like that." He said softly.

Nik tilted his head.
"No. The only bad luck I know of is being around a Malcadh, but I can't really get away from that." He said, his eyes flicking backward toward is mostly straightened back leg.

Zanu, who had been standing at the entrance of the cave at the time of attack, was now hidden in a bush situated next to the cave. He had been listening quietly.
Khar was perched visibly above Zanu, observing what was going on. He let out a screech as he flew and perched ontop of the cave.
Zanu frowned at what Khar was doing. What was he trying to do? let them know they were there?

Nik smiled softly and allowed himself to raise his head more, feeling like she wasn't mad at him.
Marv didn't seem to have any idea what was going on. He laid on his back pawing up in the hair at some butterflies. Until he heard the bird. He turned the right way up and looked around. Expecting a beat up crow. He spotted a bird but not the one he thought he would. It was a red kite.

Abyss looked up, ears twitching to the sudden noise. Her searing eyes darted around until she saw the red kite. She sighed faintly. "Scared the schtaka out of me, my feathered friend."

"I'm sorry I scared you so" Khar chuckled at the wolf.
Zanu decided that if Khar was going to make a point at showing himself, then it was no point in hiding. He exited the bushes, with a weak glance at Khar, before turning to the other wolves.
"I'm Zanu, and I guess you've met Khar" Zanu introduced himself with a nod of the head.

Abyss nodded. "I'm Abyss." She said quietly.

Zanu looked between the two wolves.
"Are you a pack?" He asked cautiously, noticing the cave again as well. He knew well that danger can be sought by stepping on a packs territory.
He wasn't very violent by nature, so Zanu often found reason rather than fight. But living like that for many years had taught him better. He would now also fight aswell, within reason, he still went for a more diplomatic approach at first.
Right now he was doing just that.
Khar ruffled his feathers, and glided down to Zanu's shoulder.

"We're not a pack, no. We're just walking together on mutual understanding. Us, and Maska with his pup. I'm heading south when the rain lets up a little." She blinked.

Zanu nodded. He understood, he had travelled with other wolves in the same way before. It happens alot when you travel many miles alone. "Well, you all seem like a nice lot, I don't often find that. Me and Khar had come here because its raining. Khar spotted the cave. Do you mind if we hang out with you for a bit? It's okay if you don't, I can easily move on." He said, looking around at the trees as he spoke. Something had changed, and his senses had started to pinch at him. Something wasn't right.
Khar noticed the change in Zanu, and he too, looked around. Without warning he took off from Zanu's shoulder, and circled the group. Zanu didn't need to ask why. He never did, he just knew. Thats how close they were.

Bio: Ivac was the runt of her litter; in her heart she didn't know she differed from the other pups. Her mother and father where slaughtered by a rabid wolf, her brothers and sisters where kidnapped. She had no friends and well.. she was alone roaming where ever her paws took her. She was always one of the tougher pups and wiser pups, to this day she remands scared and untrustworthy of any wolf that comes to her path; of coarse that is unless she attept too meet her.

Nik wasn't sure about sleeping in a cave with other wolves. He was an omega and should be sleeping outside but if he did, an infected would get him.
"They could get us in our sleep, can't be cover it up a bit?" He said.

"Sharpeyes" Khar said before Zanu could finish, a small smile lifted his face a bit before it vanished. "Those diseased wolves are a bit too close for comfort." Khar told Zanu. Zanu nodded, and looked over to the other wolves. "So, guess we're hiding then?" He asked.

Abyss nodded, furrowing her brows faintly as she start kicking at a dead tree beside the cave. Once it collapsed, it provided a hole so that someone could look through it, but it wasn't big enough to be noticeable by the infected creatures.

Zanu noticed a shuffle behind the group, and felt uncomfortably vulnarable. He crawled over the tree and into the cave silently, signalling the others to follow. He wanted to make no noise so that the diseased wolves wouldn't be set off to kill them. Khar fluttered in behind him.

Abyss blinked as she leapt over it. Her paws made a soft clacking noise as she entered the cave.

Marv jumped onto the log, for a moment he had to hang on before pulling himself up and dropping inside. Nik watched with a grim smile then jumped in after him.

When everyone had entered the cave, Zanu took a position next to the hole in the log. He then stood guard. His eyes sharply flicking from one place to another as the bushes rustled. He sometimes caught a glimpse of fur in the shadows, or heard quiet growls and snarls.

Hati looked towards the sky the rain drops dancing off her pelt she looked to the crow and said "Dagger, mind checking out the clouds?" Dagger let out a loud caw and flew up from his branch he saw a wolf and a raven he let out a loud screech above them and then flew to the south to see a cave that was occupied he let out a large screech and then flew ahead of the den seeing a hollow he screeched loudly small black smoke touching the ground infront of Abyss as Dagger flew back to Hati. Dagger then said "There's a cave but we might have a bit of a problem.. Infront of it is a den with a whole pack in it." Hati then said "We'll get through quickly. Come on." She then got up and trotted and halted at the occupied den, her hackles raising as she carefully passed behind it the empty cave was at least 10 yards away. Dagger flew into the den and hurried his head in his feathers falling asleep. Hati sighed and put her head on her paws and fell asleep.

Nik got up, suddenly afraid. He had seen a large black bird, he hadn't seen it very long but he assumed it was the crow known as Malck that followed his father around. He poked his head through the den opening with his ears back and a growl growing in the back of his neck.

Abyss trotted along the forest covered path. She glanced at a weeping willow, and watched as a raven cawed and spun out of the nest of vines like a phoenix rising from a mass of flames and lava. She figured it knew where the crow had gone, and pushed herself into following it.

Hati growled lowly as Dagger flew up in the air with a large caw and then swooping over Abyss's head being smart and attempting to think Hati and him were far away. Hati growled lowly and leaped out of the den her strength and energy very high that she leaped infront of Dagger then cawed "A little late no Hati?!" Hati growled and said "Oh mute it!" She jumped into a tree with many leaves that it was impossible to see her. Dagger cawed and flew into the tree landing on Hati's shoulder.

Hati jumped down her eyes glowing infront of Abyss she turned away and reroute a back to the den. Dagger cawed and swooped down at Abyss.

Abyss rolled and snapped her jaws at the large bird. "Will you stop it?" She barked. Then, she glanced up at Rei. She began to wonder if she had wandered into the vacinity of their nest, and began to back track to the weeping willow.

Nik walked out of the den, his green eyes narrowed. If the bird was Malck then his father wouldn't be too far behind. He spotted Abyss and stopped, not wanted her to think he was spying on her.

When seeing Dagger Nik jumped and grabbed the bird in his jaws. He dropped him and held him down with one paw. After looking closer at him he found that he was not Malck, his fathers bird. Feeling a little shameful, he lifted his paw.

Morita stared at Nik's leg for a moment before hopping off of his low branch to get a closer look.

Dagger cawed and screamed "HATI!" Hati perked her ears and growled she jumped out of the bush. She looked like Abyss but her front left paw was white, she growled and said "Why did you hurt my bird...?" Her blue eyes glimmering and her voice soft as she looked to Nik, her appearance attractive. Dagger cawed and flew onto Hati's shoulder.

Nik's tail went between his legs and he crouched as soon as he saw the new wolf. So he was very wrong about the bird. It wasn't a crow and it wasn't with his father.
"I'm sorry, I thought he was someone else."

Hati then bowed and said "My names Hati, it's alright." Dagger screeched and said "Easy for you to say Hati.." Hati then said "What's your name?" She smiled.

Abyss blinked. "I'm Abyss, so named by Artemis." She said, looking through the vines at the pale coated wolf behind them. She ducked when Rei dove into them and landed on the mute wolf's head.

Nik stayed close to the ground, shame written all over his face.
"My name is Nik," He said softly.

Hati nodded she smelt the air and said "I have to be heading south...the infected are almost there. Bye." Hati said before walking past.

Hati then said "Yes...the infected are savages." She snarled her yellow eyes glowing Dagger cawed and said "CALM DOWN!" Hati growled snapping her fangs at Dagger, Dagger screeched and said "EVERYONE RUN! She's going into her Lupus form!!!

Abyss stood tall, wondering if the other had forgotten her name already. Her searing gaze focused on the raven, then back on the wolf with the white paw. "Did you ever stop to think that you weren't the only one who survived? Kinda arrogant of you if you did."

Aoki's nails dug into the dirt as she trotted forward, glistening eyes squinted and completely dilated as she moved forward. The grey wolfess perked her ears up as they slightly flopped over, hearing voices from afar. Curling her tail into a hook behind her, Aoki took a few leaps forward to eye the wolves arguing. "Hush, now! You know better than fighting out here in the open, attracting the infected!" The seemly huge wolf stepped out, one scared eye widening. This was indeed, a 5 year old wolf. She didn't care about the youngsters that much, but killing them all wasn't an option. "Shut your traps before the infected come hopping in." She lowered her head, hackles raising.

Zanu Hopped out of the cave with a sigh. "Whos a bickering?" He asked hearing the conversation. There was quiet a crowd of wolves now, considering what they had started off with.
Khar shot out of the cave quickly, landing on a nearby branch harshly. Zanu followed him with his gaze, before turning back to the group of wolves.
"So, still not a pack, or have we changed our minds?" He asked humorously, sitting down.

"Well, if we're all going the same way, we can at least travel together. We have more chance of survival anyway." He said.
He had a look at the other wolves that had gathered.
"That's if anyone wants to."
Suddenly Khar shot through the canopy of leaves. "If we're all done chatting, I just saw an infected wolf heading our way. I'm not sure if it's alone though."
"Which direction is it in" Zanu asked.
"From the west" The red kite answered.
Zanu nodded, and looked at the other wolves.

Hati looked at the wolf and sprang from her paws leaping over him and walking to the south. Dagger cawed loudly and flew over Hati's head.

Zanu turned back to Khar. "Khar, keep an eye on that wolf. If it has friends, inform us." He said.
Khar nodded, and made a few quick flaps, entering the air, before noiselessly gliding back in the direction he had seen the wolf.
Zanu looked at Abyss. "Are you sure you want to go behind. I can take up the rear if you want." He said with a small nod of the head.

She shook her head. "It's fine."
Morita blinked. He wanted to make sure that the black pelted wolf was able to keep up.

Zanu smiled. "Ok, but I will stay to the back a bit anyway" He said, then looking to the wolf with the two different eyes. "Hey, why don't you start moving, I'm heading off now anyway" He said, before looking back to abyss and trotting after the tail of the others.

Morita nodded lightly then started walking. He stayed a bit behind, so that the other two wouldn't fall too far behind.
Rei blinked, opening his beak to reveal his black tongue, then snapping it closed again. "He means alright, but he'll make sure the two of you don't get into trouble."
Abyss nodded. "Alright, then."

Zanu tilted his head. "Does he not speak?" Zanu asked, noticing the bird communicated for Morita.

Zanu nodded. "We had a mute wolf in our pack. Rather, he had his tongue...err....removed...in battle. He was old, and used to draw things in the earth to show what he was trying to say" Zanu explained. He remembered the old brown wolf. He had not known him before he became muted, but he had heard stories of him, and how it had happened.

Zanu looked up at the sky as he saw Khar quickly circling around to them to check on their position before flying off again.
"I found him as a chick." Zanu said looking back down again. "It was just after my pack had ravaged itself because of that infection" He said darkly. "I had looked every where for survivors. There were none. None that is, except for a red kite chick. I felt attached to him. For me, it was like the soul survivor of a land I had once loved, so he was apart of me. I took him in and cared for him. Once he had reached the stage he was ready to fly, I tried to let him go, but he refused. So we both began to travel together. After so many years, there is no-one who knows me better than him" Zanu said fondly of his rust-winged companion.

Abyss nodded. "Khar is a sign of hope, then. If you ask me, we all are. For all of our packs, whether we were banished, branded as bad luck, or if we're just the unexpected soul survivors."
Mori nodded at the two, his smile growing a little as he heard the two speak. Such things brought him comfort.

Zanu smiled. "I guess, yeah" he said. "After the infection began to spread, I thought there was no hope, I see now, that I was wrong. We are all hope, all apart of it."
Khar glided down to Zanu's shoulder. "We have put a fair distance between us and that infected wolf, he wont be catching up any time soon as long as we continue at this pace." The rusted coloured bird said.
Zanu nodded. "Thanks Khar" He said. Suddenly a thought crossed his mind and he went quiet before speaking again. "I wonder where this 'infection' came from, I've never seen it before......" He said, to no one in particular.

Abyss blinked. "From what I've observed, it came from somewhere in the north. It may be a reaction to the climate switch years ago." She said, thinking. "You know, the one that the stories center around about the one that killed the last of the humans?"

Zanu tilted his head. He had heard of humans, hear they were strange creatures, not quiet of this world, and he knew they had died out years ago, but he didn't know how.
Suddenly Khar spoke up. "Zanu, you know that fallen forest pack we had met at that northen evergreen forest?"
Zanu nodded. "Yeah, I remember them..."
"Do you remember that legend they had about the forming of their pack and how it was named?"
Zanu thought a moment. "Yeah.........Yeah, I do.......But, that was just a legend, not many believed it, just a story to scare the pups...."
"But it seems to familiar" Khar said, ruffling his feathers.

Abyss tilted her head a little. "Legend?" Her words matched the expression plastered on Morita's face.

Zanu turned to the other wolves. "While I had been travelling, me and Khar had come across a pack. They invited us to stay for a while, and while we were there, we were told the legend of how the pack was formed." He said. He then began to repeat what he had heard at that ancient pack.
"Many years ago, it was said a strange rock hit the earth, and it had carried a virus. The virus had started to spread to the small creatures that had touched the rock, and they had become crazy, so to say, and suicidal. Animals who had found the rock had been curious, and decided to touch it aswell, and they began to kill eachother. The wolves were the first to make the connection, and they were told to stay away from it, but it was no use, the virus spread to the land itself, and soon every blade of grass held the deadly contamination. The three packs of the area, Tall Tree Pack, Frozen Winds Pack, and Lost Woods Pack, had started to tear eachother apart, mental from the sickness. The survivors soon found eachother, and though they lost many, they were able to flee from their homeland. They formed the pack called Fallen Forest Pack, in memory of the forest that fell to the sickness. Many years later they returned, and they could live in the forest in peace as the virus had then passed." Zanu paused. "It had been generations ago, and was regarded as a false tale. There was no evidence for any of it, except for the fact that some wolves had found a hidden cave with atleast a packs worth of....Remains." He said slowly. "But otherwise, no one knows if such a rock ever existed, or if there was any possibilty of such a disease. Truth be told, over so many generations, the tale had been twisted and changed too much to find any facts" He said shrugging.

Zanu thought about it. "Maybe, but no one even knows if it's true. But it does seem too alike to this case to not be...."
Khar then spoke. "If it is the case, then we want to watch where we step. In the legend the virus transferred to the land, so it could be anywhere."

How come people suddenly started joining again? This is a really old thread, the roleplay itself started way before this thread. I don't believe you should be posting here (It should probably be locked unless the owner says otherwise)
