The island of Uchawi, shielded by it's magic, lies hidden in the middle of the pacific ocean.
On that island live the great cats, separated from the world for so long that they have evolved into swifter, stronger, and more agile predators. The original species of cat: Tiger, Lion, Cheetah, and Leopard no longer exist on the island; only their descendents. The bloodlines have been muddled, tigers breeding with lions and leopards, the others doing the same.
These great cats, no matter what their bloodline, are called Chimain.
They are the most elite and refined of cats, the ultimate hunter with no weaknesses. Except for humans.
So what happens when the modern world finds out about Uchawi and begins to enslave the Chimain?

When younger Leilani lived with her parents for the first year of her life. They seemed to stick together as a small group hoping to collect others along the way. But one day something terrible happened and humans attacked, her father being as protective as he is tried to defend his family and was killed along with her mother-but Leilani managed to scare off one or two who weren't really armed. But once she went to help her parents they were gone. Heart broken she never spoke about her past again.

Dakari spent practically all his life alone, he didn't know weather his parents left him or weather they were infact killed. Its hard when people as his past as he doesn't really know what to say apart from 'he doest know' which makes he seems like a nobody. Although he's a strong creature, he has recently been brought to the village and is beinh kept in one of the cages, he's rather hard to control so it isn't easy to say if he'll ever be fit for work.

Ashleigh woke to the sound of shoes on the pavement and soft sunlight warming her fur. The door to her stall swung open noisilsly and one of the stable hands walked in. As he neared she looked up at him slowly and could see that he was truly terrified. The chain that secured her to the wall jingled when he unhooked it and began to pull her out of the stall by her thick leather collar. The boy strapped her to a cart which was loaded with bags of cement, and then hopped on.
As she pulled, Ashleigh examined another stables near hers. Inside she could see what looked like another Chimain; most likely a liger. He looked restless and she stopped for a second to give him a weak smile; one which would not reach her eyes, and began to pull again at the stinging crack of a whip.

Description/pic- Soft, sleek raven black fur with a long tail that curves upwards along with vibrant blue eyes.
Bloodline- Mother was an Amur Leopard, father was a cougar mixed with a jaguar.

Bio- Ishida is generally quiet and solitary, but tries harder to act cool when others are around. Ishi has low blood pressure and hates procrastination. He has a tendency to say things melodramatically. Ishida has proven to be gullible at times. He can easily snapped when provoked, and has a massive fighting skill.
Ishida was born into a high-demanding family where he had no interest in anything other than staying away from his 'awful' parents and younger brother. He usually spent his days alone, until he came back to find his little group gone, as if they vanished from the Earth. Shocked, alone, abandoned, Ishida retracted into a solitary life and depression, staying clear of anybody who ventured close.

Bio | Arekai and her sister ventured away from their parents, following a piece of rope that scurried across the ground. Suddenly, several humans bursted from the tall grass and shot her sister, however Arekai managed to escape towards her parents. Unfortunately, she lead the humans to her parents, who in attempt to protect their child died in the process. Shocked, Arekai hid and was not found by the humans. She shielded away from any other creatures, and suppressed her sociable life, quickly folding the bright pages of herself, which turned into delicate, yellow pages of memories.

In the early morning it all began, Dakari had only been here and hour or so and he was already rather aggitated and frustrated. The lound, unfamiliar noises annoyed him and made him the slightest bit nervous-many unfamiliar faces and unfamiliar landscapes made his rather wary. A huge ray of light shone into the stall Dak was being kept in, a dark-skinned human coming in with a few others, some white, some not. They seemed to be having a conversation but he couldn't understand it. Narrowing his eyes Dakari lashed his huge paw forward aiming at the humans causing them to jump back in fright-and he managed to just clip one of the mens legs. But, before Dakari could go any further he was pulled back and almost choked-turning he growled and looked at a silver chain leading from the wall to him-and a collar aroung his neck which was leather, this was used to keep him in place. Growling he continued pulling violently on the chain until he heard something. Stopping he lifted onto his hind legs with one of his front paws pressed against the side of the stall-a female came into view who seemed to be pulling some sort of cart with bags on-tilting his head he let out a growl at the human. But smiled back at the feline until he felt something touch his side. Dropping to his paws he whipped around and lashed at one of the humans again "Beat it, unless you want your throats ripped out!" he hissed to himself as he remained t the end of his chain and still making violent attacks on the humans.

Feeling a sudden burn on her eyes lids Leilani allowed them to quickly open-but was soon blinded by the glow from the sun. Letting out a moan the Liger mix lifted quickly to her paws and briskly shook her head and blinking her eyes allowing them to adjust to the light. Seeing a small beetle hurry across the floor she shrugged and slammed down her paw crushing the tiny insect-her jaws widely parting in yet another yawn, Leil shook her coat getting rid of some of the dust that seemed to have lay on her pelt. Glancing around it seemed empty, she rarely seen any other creatures around here and if it was it was only a few seconds-or they would be getting took by humans. Leilani began moving her large frame through the apparent empty forest-her head slightly bobbing up and down with each step as her tail slowly swayed back and forth-running her tongue across her snout the odd time.

Age- A little over 3 years old.
Gender- Female
Description/pic- At first Callia seems to look like your average leopard, but at closer inspection, she has a few tiger characteristics. She has faint black stripes running across her hind legs, and her pelt is more orange than the usual sandy colors.
Bloodline- Callia's mother was a Tipard and her father was a Leapard. So she is a Legar.
Enslaved?-Nope
Bio- Callia was orphaned when she was only a cub, so from a very young age she has had to fend for herself. She doesn't remember how she lost her parents, but was adopted later on by a young lioness. Her adoptive mother was caught when Callia was two years old, so she has been alone for roughly a year now.

Bio | Same thing happened to Enosh. He and his siblings were wandering off from their parents, who did not mind. As they neared the boundaries, they spotted a white rope squirming in the grass. When they followed it, the humans appeared and caught Enosh; however his siblings managed to escape and only he was caught.

Arekai
Licking her paw clean from the meal, the feline rose, stretching slightly as she glanced around. Sunlight filtered through the gaps of the trees, causing Arekai to squint slightly as the sunlight flashed across her face. Dropping her gaze, she surveyed the area, before proceeding forward as her massive paws swiftly touched the forest ground. She wasn't very much hungry now, referring to when she had caught her final meal. However, she was quite interested in meeting another feline - everything here seemed to be deserted with no felines in sight. She was aware of the humans lurking around; and at the word of humans, her fur bristled and her eyes darted around, hoping not to catch a glimpse of one.

Ishida calmly rested atop a branch out of the many trees that decorated the lush forests, his bright eyes narrowed down while he stayed completely still, silent, only the sound of his shallow breathing briefly piercing the air. Grunting, he stood up on his thin legs, curving his tail up and leaping up to another branch and repeating the process until a sudden scent wafted up towards him. Getting low, the panther mix crept deeper into the branches, raising a brow at the spotted pelt of a female leopard (Arekai), or so it seemed. He merely slid down again, paws crossed with an unamused look on his dark face.

Ashleigh
After the laborious journey to the nearby town, Ashleigh trudged along the muddy dirt road with the heavy wooden cart still lugged behind her. She kept her eyes of the trail as she walked, thinking about her family, her friend, and the other Chimain who she knew had been caught and were serving.
She recalled the liger that she had seen earlier and smiled lightly. His stubbornness reminded her much of Matt, and being a liger, he also held some resemblance to her best friend. Then, she remembered what had happened the day that Matt got caught. The sound of an imaginary gun rang deafening in her ears and she swore she could feel the pain all over again.

Dakari watched as the humans began scolding then trudged away seeming rather angry with their failed attempts-a grin grew across the males maw as he sat down in the corner of the stall. Only to smell the fresh scent of meat. Quickly, Dak shuffled to his paws and looked around-but the humans came with it hanging off a stick in order to bribe him. Snarling the large feline stepped back and let out an echoing growl as the humans slowly lowered it towards him, lashing out his paw he batted the stick and pulled it a little causing them to pull it also-releasing his teeth from the stick he watched one of the humans stumble backward. "Fools!" he laughed to himself as some were filling out some sheet then quickly leaving-but the door of his stall was still open. Pulling forward he growled as the collar pulled on the front of his neck preventing him from moving on, narrowing his eyes he turned around and began pulling on the rope. Only to slip on the sand and remain tangled in the chain, an unamused look sprawled across his face.

Leilani looked around with her amber eyes, a bored look overtaking her face as she hummed to herself hoping for entertainment-but it never worked. Letting another yawn part her jaws she soon clamped them back together and skidded to a halt, her eyes widened a little as she had arrived at the end of the forest and the villages were in view "Shoot..." she snarled whipping around and skidding off back through the forest-her huge paws violently thudding the ground. Skidding around a tree she soon stopped back into her casual walk "Damn, I really need to be more careful!" Leilani informed herself with a huff. Turning she spotted a slightly bent tree that was right near the watering hole and where most of the other cats were seen. Taking this as an opporunity to see others, Leilani clambered over to the tree and climbed up with ease. Luckily its branches were thick, cause she weighed more than most and it would of just snapped. Crawling along the thick branche carefully she soon came to a spot and lowered onto her stomach, then beginning to get herself comfotable-her tail hanging loosely from the edg obrnch ng with her back left leg, her right tucked under a little and her front lined with the branch. A relaxed look toog over the Tigons face as she looked around boredly.

After all her work had been done, the small Chimain was released into the square. She looked at the tall concrete walls that surrounded the square, and any humans that were there were carrying guns. Deciding to look through the stables for newcomers, she slowly began to walk towards the stables, trying not to startle any humans that might be in there. Instead she saw a liger, the same one as before, only this time he was tangled up in his chain. She held back a laugh as he pulled at the rope, but still remained trapped.
"You have to unbuckle the collar" she stated, rather amused as she stood in his doorway. Then she took a step in to help him unbuckle it.

Callia
A gentle purring interrupted the silence in the forest around the feline. Callia lay motionlessly on one of the thick branches of a tree, her tail swayed gently to and fro as she was lost in a world of her own. Her golden eyes darted around the forest floor, she had a good view from this position in the canopy and was barely visible due to the thick layers of vegetation that surrounded her. She was hungry. There seemed to be a shortage on food for the past few days and Callia knew that the humans were the cause of it. After a moment of thought, her body shifted to a standing position in one quick movement. She was about to move when a sudden strange scent wafted up her nostrils, she froze with one of her front paws hovering in mid-air. The first thought that sprang to mind was food, but this wasn't the familiar, musky scent of deer. Her eyes widened slightly in surprise. She could smell other cats.

Growling Dak continued to struggle untangle himself from the chain that was wrapped around his body, shuffling around he soon was able to lift to his paws still with some of the chain wrapped around him. Hearing an unfamiliar voice he lifted his head to see the spotted feline he had seen earlier-giving a smile to the female his ears perked as she spoke. Seeing a slight smirk on her face he knew she seemed rather amused by his situation. Letting out a chuckle "Oh, maybe they should just make these things more breakeable..." he huffed tugging once again only to feel the tight press against his neck, causing him to snarl. Seeing the femal apparoach a little to offer her he smiled and dipped his head as a sign he would allow her. His eyes narrowing at passing humans but his tail continued gently swaying back and forth. Ashleigh laughed at his statement and came forward. She used her claws to pull the leather strap out of the buckle and let it drop to the ground. Grinning she turned and walked out, whapping him in the face with her tail as she did so. "If you want to survive here, you're going to have to learn to be nice to the humans," she said, looking over her shoulder "Otherwise they wont hesitate to shoot you."
Suddenly her eyes went glassy and a haunted look was brought forth, she shook it off with a spine-chilling shudder and continued to walk away. She felt some satisfaction from helping the liger, but she couldn't keep other events off her mind. So she laid down in the shade of a shrub and stared at a small pond near her, watching the goldfish swim in hypnotically calming circles.

Dakari let out a huff as he remained still and allowing the she-feline to remove the collar-a tearing sound plastered his ears causing his face to scrunch up a little, but soon going back to its origional state. Looking at the black collar as it lay on the floor he smiled and shook the chain from around his front and back paw, then dipping his head and allowing it to fall from his muzzle and onto the dusty ground. Feeling the sudden whip of her tail Dakari tilted his head and narrowed his eyes for a moment but soon shook it off. "Thanks!" he smiled as he stepped out the stall a littlehearing what she had to say Dak let out a low growl as he watched the humans "Yeah, thatgoing to be a problem....I hate those two legged...freaks!!" he moaned as he watched them pass his stall without any interest. Dakari allowed his tail to flick as he took a few more steps out and glanced around, he was now free and able to escape although it would cause many problems. Shrugging, the large male took a seat on the sand. [/color]

Ashleigh glanced at him, observing that he was no longer watching the humans, but was intently looking at the wall and the rest of his surroundings. It finally clicked in her head that he was looking for an escape, and her heart sunk. She cleared her throat and tried to sound calm " If you're looking to escape, I would like for you to know that if a Chimain gets loose and doesn't return the next day... Another gets shot." she tapped her head lightly to emphasize the 'shot' part. "It's really an incentive for the runaway to return..."

The Ligers eyes continued tracing back and forth across the large wall as his tail tip tapped lightly against the sandy ground, his ears twitching at the few unfamiliar sounds around him. Hearing the female speak his focus drifted back onto her as she spoke about escaping and what happened-his eyes narrowed to the fact if he escaped another would be killed. Letting out a huff he looked at the wall one last time then at the humans with an 'aggressive' look. Turning back to the spotted feline he cleared his throat. "Oh, umm I wasn't planning on escaping..." he mumbled looking around at the few large felines that had been captured. Letting out a moan Dakari allowed himself to drop to his haunches causing a cloud of dust to lift into the air-but soon vanishing. "Well, if they try anything funny l'll....I'll....I'll kill the...." Dak drifted off a little in his sentance seeing as it may cause a little 'uncomfortable' atmosphere was created.

Dakari let out a huff as he looked back at the female, seeing she had spoke and began heading off "Yeah, see you around..." he muttered as he looked towards the raw meat pile. Dak had seemed to have lost his apetite(?) Since he arrived here and refused to eat anything-although he knew this wouldn't get him far. Letting out a growl the large liger entered back into his stall and cirled a few times then plopping himself down. Dakaris view was locked on the humans in the distant who seemed to be rather busy, he knew the others would soon come back and try forcing him into work-so now was the best time to rest. Crawling into the corner of the thick, wooden stall Dak dropped onto his stomach with a thud and placed his head on his extended paws, although he wasn't heavy he lay motionless and bored, along with being rather frustrated.

All appeared silent through the forests as Leilani remained sprawled across the thick branches of the trees-nothing really seemed to amuse her anymore and all she could do was lie around. Her long, thick tail hung down from the branches the tip flicking as her body lowered and raised in a repetative motion with her breathing. Although none other felines were in sight Lani could sure scent others that was for sure. Flexing her claws the female Tygon began clawing at the bark of the tree causing small bits to flake off, doing so out of complete boredom. Allowing her jaws to extend Leilani allowed a yawn to blow past her lips and fill the open air, snapping her jaws shut once again she began glancing around her empty surroundings.
