"We're all in the same game; Just different levels. Dealing with the same hell; Just different devils..."

"Something happened, we don't know what. But it happened. This thing. This madness. The darkness and beasts. The pain, the sites, the fright and the horror. Came so sudden, like a blast from the unknown. It's an outrage, a mysterious outbreak. Why does everything seem so bare and quiet? *GROWL* Why does everyone seem so scared and frightened? What are these things, trying to kill me? *SNARL* Where are you all going?! *GROWL* Please, don't leave me... Why would they do this? *WHINE*COUGH* Do they not understand. We're here all alone, no protection and no helping hands! They've taken it all. The food. The water. Our families. Why take something so *COUGH* precious to us? Do you not care?! *COUGH* Do we just look like lifeless souls, like the creatures you left us with? You thought you knew our fate. Doing this to us. Leaving us here. Maybe you thought we'd fall and crumble...And slowly kill off one another. Maybe you were right as your thoughts turned as dark as this horrendous world. Or maybe it's your plans which will fall and crumble... *COUGH*COUGH* Not everything is like it seems."

"Little did you know I'll rise above it *GROWL* Prove to you my life means something to this world. I sure may not know the basics, nor have a top ability. But I will prove to you once and for all this world will not get the best of me. I'll live. I'll survive. And I will fight back. Along with all those other unfortunates whom were left behind *COUGH* because of your selfish acts! *GROWL* I'd like to stay and pose more of a threat, or ramble on longer. But I am one who refuses to run and hide, like the other people who this was struck upon. Maybe I'll be classed as a misfit or loners whom have been left behind. To suffer your fate because of your actions! *GROWL* Now, they're coming *COUGH* Time ticks by so slowly, but within seconds all this could be over. Whomever you are, whomever can hear this. Please keep your fighting spirit and don't let them win! You're stronger, and it will come as a struggle. But as they say 'everything happens for a reason." So prove yourself. Not for them *COUGH*COUGH* but for your benefit. *BANG*BANG* They're here now, they're getting in. Stay safe and sane. We will always win. *GROWLS*GARGLES*MOANS*BANG*......."
And silence slowly took over... One brave soul which has came to help many. One which still lurks in the shadows. Watching your every move....

Welcome to the. Apocalypse!

For a few years now several strange things seemed to have been happening in Queton City. No one knows what it is, or what has been happening. All they knew was it was strange, ans they didn't like it. The Government seemed to be acting strange. As the days went on fewer people were allowed into the country, and few were allowed to exit. Weekly people would be forced to go through daily health checks and examinations. Nothing like this seemed to have happened before, but seeing as the government wanted it to happen, everyone appeared fine with it. Even though it caused a lot of worry between citizens. Despite the questioned people had as well as the concerns. They'd go along their daily business as if nothing had changed at all. However, slowly after this things got a lot more strange. And nothing seemed 'normal' any longer. Things had gotten a whole lot worse.

Not long after all the strange health checks and the Government keeping everything as a big secret, everything soon began falling into place. Panic soon struck the City as after several weeks the Government soon revealed the secret which they had kept buried for a while. Once plucking up what little courage and sense they had, it was finally revealed that a virus had broke out. They believed by preventing people entering and exiting the City would help stop this virus from hitting Queton. However, despite their efforts this didn't help and weeks later they were struck with the virus. Not having much knowledge on the sudden outbreak they told people to keep on healthy diets and have regular visits to their GP's or the doctors. As days went on more and more people seemed to get the virus, so people were taken in to do tests. After doing this they realised that what it was caused people to turn almost zombie like, and as savage as a rabid dog. With the many tests they'd done, scientists were still unable to find a name to this disease, the only one it matched up to was a virus named Ebola; but this was a lot more serious and deadly. The symptoms are a lot similar; fever, high temperatures, muscle ache, vomiting, diarrhoea, bleeding from the eyes and nose. However, adding to these symptoms people would come out in rashes, strange red bruise like marks on their body, loss in eye sight, weakness, their skin would flake and their aggressions would in crease incredibly high.

However, dogs and cats don't always get the virus as most are actually immune - although they don't know this until after being bitten for the first time. Of course the protector only knows this. Anyhow, those whom are bitten by an animal/person with the virus will usually show most of the symptoms which are shown when infected; vomiting, temperatures, aggression, aches and pains etc. After suffering, they will go on-concious for around a day or more and when waking up will feel slightly better, picking up within a few days. However, all don't suffer by being knocked out and will instead just suffer the pain and one day suddenly feel a whole lot better. This is when the dog or cat will realise that they are immune to the virus. Despite the high levels of immunity, they are also able to catch it relatively easy. Those whom have a weaker immune system tend to suffer the most and are the ones most prone to getting the disease. Pups and elders are at higher risk of getting the disease if it is caught as said above - if not they're more than likely to live, the virus being carried in the air doesn't seem to affect them as it is slowly fading. Of course, these dogs and cats will also suffer the symptoms which all do, but will later wake up as a blood thirsty creature.

Now that even more people seemed to be getting infected with the virus, the Government began quarantining people in order to prevent the virus from spreading. But little did they know it was also airborne. These contained people would need to be taken to a hospital and confined, treated in their own room using the best protective equipment, along with gas tanks and everything else. Many people ended up in intensive care because of the pain and suffering which they went through - with only the symptoms. However, even though a lot of effort was put into saving these people, not much could really be done for this unknown illness, which caused many people, over one hundred in just one City to die. Even though the bodies were sent off, and some kept for examining, they slowly began going missing. Realising that these sufferers were somehow waking up and wondering again. On closer inspection they realised these 'things' were actually a lot like zombies, but a lot more aggressive and dangerous.

The Creatures

Even though the Government were now unable to get close to these monsters, they wanted to still examine them. Keeping them locked up in a room like area surrounded by walls, they watched the actions of these creatures, amazed at how similar they were to the things from the movies. However, even though there appearance was almost identical. Their abilities made them a lot more dangerous. Over the little time of watching over these 'people', the government realised that their speed had been enhanced. They had the ability to run, faster than the average zombie - which would allow them to chase and catch victims. Although there stamina wasn't too good, along with their obvious strength. They were able to climb, not up buildings or across ledges, but able to climb over the average wall with some difficulty. Although most gained their sight back, some were unable to do so; thus causing their smell and hearing to increase to a high sensitivity level. Their teeth aren't at all sharp, and most seem to have lost them - only being left with merely half a set spread out between their top and bottom gums. Humans can easily this disease, but dogs and cats seem to be slightly more immune. After examining these creatures, the government woke to find they had escaped through out the nigh, and wondered into the City to seek blood.

Panicked and frightened, the Government ordered a TV news programme to launch their show earlier, as well as radio adverts and new adverts to warn the people of these creatures and what they were capable of. But to also inform citizens of their escape. Some people would receive phone calls and texts to ensure everyone got the message. People were ordered to stay in door and not make it known that they were inside the buildings, if pets were out people would be forced to leave them with the creatures. Making sure the people of the City were safe, the Government then began watching how fellow pets and strays would deal with these zombies. Later realising they seemed immune to the airborne infection, and could only catch it by being bitten. But not by the humans. Several dogs had been bitten as they watched. However, it seemed that the dogs would only end up ill for several days, show higher aggression, paranoia and heightened senses. They'd then end up on concious for around three hours. After this they'd wake feeling right as rain, appearing to have not suffered at all. Well, some would keep a few of the symptoms or causes of the bite. The only way a dog or cat was able to get this was by their own species, whom were already infected and mutated into a sort of 'mutant/zombie' dog. Whom would catch the virus by eating a rotten corpse, and getting the zombies blood in their eyes. The only way these mutants can pass it on to their own species is if they get the blood in an open wound, or in the dogs eyes. The blood/infection must get into the dogs system/blood somehow. This would cause one to turn.

Days later the Government realised a cure wasn't coming any time soon, and with time they'd need to restock on sources just to live. In order to save thousands, billions of lives they boarded everyone on plains and shipped them off to different parts of the world, which seemed to have been 'dormed' or with any other source of protection. Many families were heart broken to leave their pets, where as some were happy and didn't really care. Feeling unwanted and left, the dogs began taking actions into their own hands. Radiation cause the dogs to be able to speak, which humans were able to also understand, as well as slightly enhanced intelligence which has allowed them to work things such as radios and other electricals. Now the dogs strive and go through the tough tests of survival. It's now or never.

Will you survive?

The time has come!

Now, it is your turn. You will write your own story in this hell hole. Possibly alone, or maybe you'll form a group. An alliance. Maybe you'll survive and strive like the beasts you are, or maybe you'll fall and crumble like the two-leggeds once did. It is your turn to write your past! To keep life living in this god for saken mess. They've left you, and now it is up to you. Whether you decide to be the last remaining beast. Or let your generation live on for years to come. Maybe you'll master what the humans were once able to do. Now you'll walk the path of death or justice. This all counts on you and your survival. Your friendships. Your life.

What you'll need

Rules:
1 ~ Please be mature and realistic. As well all know this roleplay is going to include bad language, gory scenes, violence, romance and if chosen so sexual scenes. Even though this is the least likely thing to happen in the world, I do want this kept realistic. Wolf speak will be allowed, as it will allow people to interact with one another - but animals are prone to injuries, disease and suffering. Your injuries or illness will not instantly heal, and along this rocky path you're more than likely going to get some nasty bumps and bruises. As this is a mature rp I will not expect people to get offended by most things which will happen through out. Although, if something bothers you feel free to say.
2 ~ God modding, power playing and auto-hitting is strictly forbidden. Upon doing this you will be warned up to three times, if done continuously I will ask you to leave the roleplay. This is not fair on other members and can annoy people. A lot.
3 ~ Literacy and activity is a must. I am not forcing anyone to be able to write as if writing a novel, or an A* piece of work. Although I would like at least some effort in your posts. If struggling in writing, you may see other peoples posts, to see how you can make your posts better or maybe longer. Writers block is an exception, although this must not be the constant excuse. As for activity, I would like it if you could post at least ones or twice a day, of not a few times a week so the rp isn't left at a stand still for a while. We'll wait 2 whole days and if you don't respond, we shall move on. If you're unable to post for any reason. Please just simply inform me.
4 ~ IC and OOC must be kept different. No grudges and no arguments. If a small squabble does form, please take it to pm or it must stop. No one wants drama. Along these lines, your character isn't invincible and can be injured, out paced, seen and everything else. If injured, depending on the seriousness, it'll last a few hours/days until you're able to recover.
5 ~ Even though I am not wanting everyone to cause drama, some is allowed. As long as it doesn't go over board. Mates are allowed, romance is allowed and pups/kittens are also allowed. I do dislike it when people often attention seek and constantly cause drama. So please try not to do this too often, as it may also irritate others.
6 ~ You are not able to join as one of the mutant dogs, nor the zombie. You either start out as a dog or cat, of any age and any brood. Few wolf dogs are accepted, and no pure-bred wolves. Instantly you will not become one of these creatures. You must simply go through the symptoms and days of suffering. Then decide whether you want to come back, with the littlest amount of trauma, or turn into a mutant dog or cat. Even when being the mutant you'll still have weaknesses.
7 ~ I will be taking on the role of the dog which was first presented in the first sections of the introduction. This is a large part of the rp so I'll take the role on my hands. Not many have seen this dog, and only a few have. They're rather secretive and everyone though they were dead because of the radio call. But they aren't. However, I won't be constantly doing posts as of course, they won't be interacting with many.
8 ~ Of course, look out for updates.

"She stood in the storm. And when the wind did not blow her away, she adjusted her sails. "

Name: Daciana
Age: 4 1/2 years old
Gender: Female
Species: Canine
Breed: Belgian Mailanos

Personality: Daci is a lot like a military dog. Her aggression levels are high, and her intentions for love and affection are relatively low. Along with following the traits of these dogs, her obedience and loyalty is what causes many to remember this remarkable dog. Putting her aggression aside most will see her as a fighter, and one whom doesn't give up easy. If something pushes her down, she won't give up and will keep trying. However, even Daciana sees things which she assumes she cannot do and with a few attempts she'll give up - unless being pushed or convinced she can do it. Many will call her stubborn and strict, but she sees it as her dominance and maturity. As she says 'Someone needs to take charge' which is exactly what she does. There is no chance on her being a follower, she will always put herself somewhere near the leader position. Towards most she can be stubborn and rather harsh and bitter, often saying what she wants and she believes her point of view needs to be heard, she also speaks the truth. Despite her harsh ways, one fellow canine is always there to brighten up her day. Reima, the put whom she saved at the beginning of this whole mess. Towards this pup she shows love and affection, kindness and her more playful sides. Although it has its limits. Now and then she'll show her stern side towards the pup, but with persuasion and love she'll show her softer side. Once getting to know her you'll see she means good. Loyalty is her key trait.

Backstory: When she was younger Daciana had always been trained to fight for her country. They would describe her as a well mannered and easily trained dog. Which they obviously wanted. It didn't take long to teach her the basics and a few extra tricks, as well as picking up the intensity and difficulty which she worked at. Moving up in classes was relatively easy for her as she seemed to pick things up pretty fast. And before she knew it she was out on the battle field. Along with many other canines she helped out soldiers in battle, and looking for wounded soldiers. As well as sniffing out bombs. Many times she was shot at, beaten and almost blown up. But she kept her cool. However one day she wasn't so lucky. In the process of helping one of her 'pack' mates, she suffered by an explosion which set off near her face. Days later it was announced she had lost her sense of smell. Devastated, she was sent away from the force and into the military base where she'd ponder with the older dogs ready to be shipped off for retirement. Arriving at the strange down she slowly got her sense back. Thanks the the radiation that was. Not long after her retirement owners left her alone, not taking the 'problem-ed' dog with them. Wondering the streets for several days, she soon found a young pup at the brink of death. Saving her, they've been together ever since.

"I'll be right by your side through it all. I promise."

Name: Reima
Age: 11 months
Gender: Female
Species: Canine
Breed: Catahoula Leopard dog

Personality: Ri is a lot different to Daciana. Her personality nearly always reflects her witty, yet funny side. She's the type of dog who is able to make most laugh because of her clumsy behavior, yet her cuteness defends her against most scoldings. Most of the time you'll see her romping around in her playful state, remaining quiet of course. Unless Daci says otherwise. She loves making the good out of a bad situation and will always try and lighten others moods. Many would describe her as being happy go lucky, as well as very loving and affectionate. Which is rather accurate. She often obeys Daciana, seeing as she is rather obedient and intelligent despite her age, and has also learnt to obey the older dog. Of course, being saved by this dog has caused her to grow rather inspired, as she looks up to this female, and often tries to mimic her. She's always said she wants to be just like Darcy when she's older. The older lasses personality seems to have brushed off on the younger dog, seeing as she has picked up on the stubborn behavior as well as the aggression. Although it is obvious she'll end up a lot sweeter than the adult, she'll also have a side which is pretty much similar, if not identical. Her most obvious trait is her loyalty.

Backstory: This youngster was born into a small family whom lived in the country side. They owned several different dogs, along with both of her parents - this pack included her relatives. They brought the dogs up to the best of their ability; well trained, mannered and of course loyal to their owners. They spend weeks training the pups, until they were trained as best as the family could get them. Seeing as the pups were now old enough to be sent off, they shipped the pups off to their new home. Most going ti different locations. Around two/three went to the same area. Even though the pup thought she was going to a terrible place as she was very scarred.  However, it turned out to be one of the best places. The family of five treat her like a princess. Giving her all the top toys, beds and food. She lived the life. Until the apocalypse that was. Her family did try and save her, and even managed to smuggle her onto the plain. But one of the crew spotted her and ripped her from their arms and threw her off of the plane. Alone and frightened she ran. Days later she found herself being chased by several zombies and mutants. Her whole life flashed before her eyes, and she assumed her life was over. Fortunately, Daciana saved her from those monsters, she saved her life. Ever since they've traveled together.

"From every wound there is a scar, and every scar tells a story. A story that says I survived."

Name: Hobson
Age: 5 years 9 months
Gender: Masculine
Species: Canine
Breed: English Bullmastiff x Cane Corso

Personality: Hobson is one which can be described as the protector, and all in all like a guardian. Towards those he knows she will show pure loyalty and love, rarely aggression unless provoked. Towards strangers he shows similar traits, although his level of kindness is slightly lower, and he will be a lot more wary. Towards those whom are sane, and now classed as normal, he will show pure respect to them and less aggression. Towards those things which have suddenly taken over the City, the only thing he knows to show them is aggression and he'll pose the threat of killing them. He will not hesitate on slaughtering these creatures, and will do everything in his power to protect the only sane living creatures around. Hob has a soft spot for cubs, and will often set himself as a role model for them. Towards the slightly older dogs he'll show a lot more stern behavior and power in order to gain full respect. Towards elders he's also easier on them, seeing as they're a lot more fragile. However, he is very wise and will drone into the others heads they must survive and over come this horrific time. Despite his kindness and loyalty, he is very hidden and secretive. You'll be lucky if you're able to encounter him, let alone have a conversation with this mysterious brute.

Backstory: Hobson lived a life of betrayal and neglect. Starting out as a pup took it's toll on the brute. He was beaten until his coat was matted with blood, until his body was covered in wounds....until he cried in pain. Being so small and fragile meant the runt was merely unable to fight back and had to take the constant beatings and abuse from the pair whom constantly consumed drugs and alcohol. He even suffered being attacked from their own dog. Hobson suffered this until he hit the age of two. Now being his full size, the dog seen his time to attack. Although this wasn't in his nature, the constant suffering and pain took it's toll on the male. He killed the duos dog, and left the two brutally scarred. After that Hob left, he ran. He left the city. Now he lived his life upon a fair sized boat which he'd sneak on to, and get off at each stop. At one of the cities it seemed to have already had the apocalypse. At the age of two, he remained there for a year. Going to several after. Quetown, known for possessing the highest rate of pets was his next stop. Getting there he began helping, thanks to radiation he was able to communicate to the humans. And prove their worth.

She has a thick shell that not many ave been able to get through but once you do she will be a very loyal friend that would risk her life to protect you. Age: 4 years
Gender: Female
Species: Canine/dog
Breed: Saluki

Personality: Once a rather prestigious and queen-like dog, -- personality wise, that is -- Cephei was destroyed by the "revelation" that she was infected. She is now a very 'down' sort of canine; though it's a little more dramatic than normal. "Just leave me to die!" and "Can't you see that I'm gonna die? Leave a lady alone!" are common utterances. Unfortunately this all stems from the fact that she was raised in the shadow of her sister and feels the need to be absolutely supreme.
Backstory: Born an amazing show dog, Cephei was born with the name Majora -- after the biggest known star in the universe. This was because of her fur, her colors, and her ears. However, she had this name for quite a short time before her half-sister, the actual Majora was born. While similar in looks, (the real) Majora had better volume in her fur, better texture, and a better quality overall. Therefore, (the first) Majora was given the name Cephei -- after the second biggest known star in the universe. Well, this was a blow. Heck, Majora wasn't even an on purpose kind of puppy! Cephei was born from a planned breeding, Majora from an 'accidental' breeding between her father and another dog from the kennel! Sure, they loved each other, and her father treasured his love-children more than his forced-children, but really! After her owner died and the kennel was abandoned, Cephei, unfortunately, was the only one left; being a loyal companion, she refused to leave and thus was caught between a rock and a hard place when an infected dog showed up. Well, a dog and a hard place. Though she escaped unharmed, the very regal looking canine believes that she is infected and will do everything she can to make it known. Obviously a delusion when you first see her; but really it seems to be more of an attention-grabber than an actual delusion.

Infected: No.

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

A mist seemed to fill the small city of Queton - and everything remained silent. Not too long ago the City would be lit by blinding lights which shone down from the heavens, lighting up the now dimmed streets. Where dark patches of grass lay, was once covered in the beautiful, bright flowers which bloomed every spring and lasted through out summer. Not to mention the somewhat relaxing heat which had now been replaced by the now freezing, bitter weather. It had always been nice in this once beautiful City - summers were always bright and cheerful, some winters being the same way although a lot darker and colder. However, as this winter slowly came - it seemed a lot more dark than previous ones she had lived through. Despite all the flash backs and images she'd get when being transferred here, she still held a bitter tongue towards the force whom placed her in the company of an old woman who couldn't even throw a ball without breaking her hip. Nothing could be changed now though, they were stuck in this hell hole for a time which couldn't be told. Fending for themselves - which wasn't the ways of an average 'pet' as you may say. But even the toughest of strays would even struggle with this in some shape or form. To those canines left in this place, they were still unaware as to why they had been left here. There was so reasonable explanation to the whole thing, but everything apparently happens for a reason. And for once she isn't alone. Now having all the company she needed - but this all still seemed like a disaster. And a very big one at that.

However, the Malinois felt safe. Not to the fact that she was faced with those beasts daily, but the fact she knew another was out there - watching and protecting all in order to see them through the worst. Many labelled this canine as the 'Protector' yet he hadn't been seen by many. Only one dog lived to tell the tale and give a brief description on the black canine who was said to be a male and some sort of Mastiff. Weeks later the dog was slaughtered by those mutants. It was a shame. But having this dog around put Daciana at ease a little, seeing as he often helped those in need or whom were being attacked - yet he did never, ever come out of the shadows. One minute he'd be there - and the next he'd be gone. A lot like a ghost although he was real. It still baffled Daci as to why he didn't save the young pup, until given the chance that was. Maybe he wanted to over come spite and greed and once and for all get this place back on track. Whatever he was doing and whatever he wanted seemed to be working. Although those things were still out there; man, feline and canine - always there, lurking around and seeking their next meal. Sure by injuring the creatures head and possibly the neck could end them - but it wasn't that simple. They needed to fight. Fight for what they believed in. Fight for their lives.

A huff soon blew past the tan canines lips as she looked out at the empty streets, which seemed to slowly be brightening up - the bitter cold still being obvious on the cracked window as the steam slowly and gradually disappeared within the minutes. Soon it would be time to go out and stretch her legs, along with getting more food for her and her new companion. Not long ago she had been, but with winter coming they'd need to stock up. Rodents would soon go into hiding and lakes/ponds would freeze over - leaving them with merely nothing but that the two-leggeds left behind. That was something she'd attempt to get out of the way today seeing as they were slowly running low. With that pushed aside the female glanced around the room - which was surprisingly still neatly decorated and filled with furniture - a few holes and scratches now and there, but everything was neat. They were also rather protected. Seeing as a large, metal, barbed-wired fence surrounded the building and the only was in was a gap in the fence behind a dumpster and the only way in being through a hole in the wall which had been kicked in - a secret door the older canine had prepared. This to yet be revealed

Hearing the quiet squeaks coming from the other room a smile formed at the canids lips, but was soon covered up as she made her way into the room which could be described as a bed room. Slowly making her way around the door frame the tan pigmented dog allowed her dark auds to rest upon the small canine whom was sleeping in her usual position on a large, grey pillow in the corner of the room. Despite the urge to smile she pushed it down - this wasn't really in her nature. However, somehow Reim was able to bring out her smiles and her softer side, which wouldn't be shown to just anyone - but those whom meant something to her. Remaining quiet she made her way towards the youngster and nudged her gently "Come on then, time to get up" she spoke, her voice in its usual raspy tone just a bit softer. Knowing the pup would get up within the next few minutes she decided to head back into the other room and set herself down in her usual spot which was next to the window of course. In the mean time, Reima was getting up.

Reima didn't really have a sleeping pattern or routine - and seemed to just wake up whenever Daciana woke her, or when the light shone through the glass paned windows. With the gentle nod she received the pup wriggled around a little, letting out a few whines as she done so - yet her eyes remained closed. That was until a somewhat dim light shone into the room causing the youngster to let out a grunt. Seeing as she would be unable to get back to sleep now. Hurling herself to her paws the grey pelted canine hurled herself to her paws and made her way across the pillow - the softness causing her to sink in the fabrics. Moments later she made it off and headed into the next room "Good morning, Daciana..." she muttered - thus being muffled slightly by a yaw as she set herself on her hind legs and placed her fore paws in the dashboard - eyes locked on the streets below, what she could see anyways. The two remained seated together glancing out of the pane.

Lady
"... Never was so much owed by so many to so few ..."

The jingling sounds of bones against bones echoed along the desolated corridor as the albino effeminate made her way through the hotel, sharp blue eyes alert for any signs of danger which she so easily attracted with the useless collar she could not remove. Her stomach refused to let up either, a constant growl surfacing every so often to ensure that she knew that she needed food. Lady rolled her eyes, movement to her left catching them as she froze, looking towards it only to find that it was a pathetic wee rat which was making use of the decomposing food which was scattered about the floor. Lady balked. She wasn't used to this. It was purely disgusting. Her stomach growled in protest and she groaned. Thankfully, none of the infected had managed to get to the higher floors of the hotel, so Lady could make use of the bar fridges which were situated in the rooms. The infected that were there, well, she had to be pretty careful to avoid them, but Lady had danced this dance many times. And so, with very little effort, even if her goddamn collar made an undesirable amount of noise, she managed to secure herself within a particular room, the bar fridge ajar and filled with food which would normally be unhealthy for a dog, but sadly, she had to make do. The weather outside was incredibly bitter, and Lady continuously had the thought of hunkering down here and waiting it out, but she knew she wouldn't. This wasn't her home.

Having dug into the food, nearly vomiting most of it up, she finally made her way down towards the lower levels, narrowly missing an encounter with the blasted infected woman at the reception. Normally, by now she would be back at the station, safe and sound in her little cubicle where none could harm her, but today it seemed that she would be mindful of her rituals and take a different route, finding herself in a completely different place within the desolate place. Sometimes she would wander around, hoping to perhaps encounter the one they called 'Protector.' But never had she seen him, for they all said he was dead. TO Lady, it felt like someone was paying attention. Someone was there. She knew it was him and she sought to find him, like countless others sought to as well. For this protector was their solution, their safety. They needed him, yet he did not dare show himself. Instead each and every one of them were faced with the Infected every day, fighting to survive and tearing apart possible loved ones to do so. It was a morbid living, but one she had easily adapted to. She needed to find a way to get most of the dogs to congregate. They were a greater force when together, the female had learned this from experience. But it was so hard to get that done, for many were fearful, intimidated by her words of... what was it? Domination? Hell, she didn't mean it in that sense? Or did she? Even Lady couldn't tell.

Her gaze finally drifted towards a house, which appeared abandoned, yet well secure and she grunted. There was no way in from what she could see. Not that she really cared, but the lingering scent of another canine wafted through the air and made Lady increasingly curious. Perhaps there were people in there, with companions of their own. Which caused a spark of jealousy to ignite within. She wished for that again, and dearly missed her family. That was also, however, besides the point. The doberman took a few tentative steps forward, her collar make one hell of a racket as she did so, pale eyes showing the increasing curiosity within as she studied the fortified place. She honestly wondered who would live in there. Perhaps she could attempt to draw them out, if someone was in there. But before she could even do so, a rumbling hiss came from behind the albino effeminate and she turned as a thundering snarl escaped her very lips. Blasted felines. They honestly had no care whether the dogs were bigger than them. Well, why would they, the were technically dead.

She promptly disposed of the creature by lunging for its throat, attempting to sever the body from the brain through the spine. It took a few good tries and close calls due to the creatures swiftness and sharp claws which had inflicted various scratches upon Lady's glorious coat, but a resounding crack was heard and the feline dropped dead on the floor. With no time to lose, the female quickly sauntered out of sight, knowing full well she must have been heard, hiding now and waiting for something interesting to happen.

Vera

The mother to be trotted down an old broken road, broken down abandoned buildings surrounded her. Vera licked her chops, she had just consumed a small squirrel that didn't fully satisfy her but it had to do for now. Soon she was in a residential area, run down homes were lined along the old street, and the smell of death and fear entered her nose, sending a chill down her spine. The large canine peered at a pale yellow house with a white door and a white picket fence, she was sure that this house was once beautiful and was filled with happy people and maybe even a family dog. Vera never enjoyed such a life but she didn't care, she wasn't sad that she never had a family that loved her. Vera looked away from the house and continued down the street. That's when she heard a cat's yowl and some struggling. The canine trotted quickly down the street then made a left, only to see the body of a mangled feline. The fresh scent of another dog entered her nostrils "Who's there?" she barked along with a small growl. Her motherly instinct kicking in, making her act slightly more aggressive and protective, even if her young were not yet born.

Sorry for this being so short, In a rush)

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Looking at her smaller companion the light pigmented canine allowed a smile to quickly curl at her lips. Seeing this youngster safe and healthy gave her a sense of hope, but not also gave her a bigger purpose on staying alive. If she was to be killed, who would actually take her in? Sure there was bound to be other survivors, but they were rarely social and friendly now, also not wanting another mouth to feed - they'd more than likely reject the young pup if she was to be alone. Maybe the one they called the 'Protector' would take her in, but that wasn't likely. No one had hardly seen him never mind actually communicating and interacting with the masculine. However, her time was far from near and she knew those things wouldn't take her just yet - she wouldn't let them. Daciana had became to motherly figure to young Reima, which encouraged the head-strong female to allow herself to fall back from her usual temperamental self, and become a little more cooperative. Towards the pup that was. As the days went on, the pup grew older and bigger, her appetite increasing. Soon she'd have to try and search for more food, or is she could steal some. Daci was aware that it was unusual for her breed to hunt, but this would have to soon be an option. Although, the young lass would soon be able to help in providing, within a few weeks she would be one, leaving her almost fully grown.

Moments later Dacianas auds were torn from the dark pigmented figure as a muffled growl sounded, soon being followed by what seemed to be the yowl of a cat. Narrowing her eyes the Malinois let out a growl as she rose onto all fours, ears now slightly flattened against her head as she glanced out the window. Reima was still quiet, although the sudden noises did scare the young pup - she didn't want to show fear in front of her 'mother' in order to not appear weak. Even though Daciana had reassured her many times that everyone gets scared at times - even her. Standing on her hind legs allowed the canine to glare out the window, a small frame seemed to lay in the middle of the road "What is that?" she questioned, her head cocked as she glanced up at the female. "I'm not sure, I'll go and check it out - you stay here and eat something, there's a few bits and pieces in the other room..." and with that the ex military dog slowly made herself towards the small crack, poking her snout out she took in several whiffs - nothing, apart from the obvious horrid stench of the cat...then something unfamiliar. It seemed to be the scent of dog. But this one wasn't infected. Furrowing her brows the female crouched down a little and quickly made her way through the small gap.

A sudden coldness took over the female as she left the house, all warmth being lost as she was now exposed to the coldness but also the dangers which the outdoors held. The tanned canid let out a grunt as she took this time as an opportunity to quickly make sure the premises was clear - which was complete with a quick yet thorough check of the fences and areas which she had managed to cover up - these routes having entry and access, but only she knew of them. Feeling satisfied she had checked the secret entries and that the fence was still secure she headed towards the fence to exit on to the street. However a soft voice soon called causing her to let out a snarl as she turned her head , raising a brow at the young pup whom now stood just outside the small hall at the top of a flight of stairs. "Um, I wanted to just....Um, come out?" she smiled, a little uncomfortable as she was unsure as to whether she'd receive a scolding - however Dacis reply came as a surprise and this time she obeyed "Alrighty, well stay in the fence, you see anything warn me and if something approaches hide!" she snorted, squeezing out of the barbed wire fence, pushing herself under the whole she had dug.

Once getting out of the closed in area she headed towards the corpse of what appeared to be the cat, which seemed to have been slaughtered - that suggesting to her it was from the dog she could smell. Letting out a growl she placed a paw in the feline and rolled it over, peering down at its scarred and flaked face, as well as its matted fur and its tatted ears. Weirdly she didn't find this repulsive, although the putrid scent which lifted from the now dead corpse. Kicking it away aggressive she dipped her paw in a near by puddle, which resulted in small amounts of mud collecting on her paw - which she guessed was better than rotting blood. Following the scent a tiny bit up the street, her attention soon turned as someone called from behind. The Malinois scanned around, her eyes soon resting upon another canine - whom didn't seem to be infected. Flattening her ears and narrowing her eyes, she took a few steps closer to the fence which the pup was sitting behind - amber/brown auds locked on the unknown canine. Her instincts were always the same when being greeted by someone unknown, if this dog didn't pose a threat to her, she wouldn't too it. "And you are?" she questioned, her stance remaining tall and dominant as she looked towards the female. Meanwhile the pup had set herself atop a small, wooden crate which sat just a few centimetres away from the house - giving her a perfect view of the streets behind her - the small amount of buildings and forest behind her now unseen for now. Unlike she'd usually do, Reima decided to stay quiet, watching as the older female handles the situation as she had always done - deep brown eyes resting on the two canines, her auds now and then wondering up the streets and of course onto the felines corpse.

A dank city, a billowing cloud of dust, and a lumbering figure that had a gait very much like a bear but a body type that was none of the sort. It appeared to be a dog. One with a dirt-streaked coat that, while matted and very tousled, appeared to have some sort of inner beauty; perhaps suggesting that, before the humans started disappearing, that she led a very privileged life. Now however, the pure-bred saluki female looked tired and broken. Her body ached and her tangled tail hung low beside her paws. A tortured groan escaped through her muzzle from deep within her throat. A sound of a dying cat, apparently, in the distance. Yet the saluki continued plodding on as if she'd heard nothing save for the twitch of a long-haired ear.

"Oh, dear God. Just let me die already,"  Cephei moaned, throwing her head up in what seemed to be unimaginable anguish. After the rogue dust cloud passed, she let out a dramatic and strangled cough. She'd been travelling in the direction of the sound from the presumably murdered cat had come from. "Helloooo?" the saluki whined, tail wagging slightly at the prospect of meeting more dogs. However -- she'd been told by an actual doctor (meaning, herself -- a completely inaccurate source, but that was of no matter) that she was coming down with a case of the infection. A horrible disease that had not only destroyed her family and her dreams, but had destroyed the dog herself upon the realization that she had it. Despite the fact Cephei hadn't experienced any symptoms of the oncoming disease, it was so obvious she had it. Why else would her fur be dirty? An intelligent, sentient dog like her would never allow a lavish pelt to be coated in this.. horrid layer of grime.

Upon reaching the conclusion that she could in fact see a figure in the distance and it was not just a delusion from the illness (oh, the irony), Cephei decided to keep quiet and inspect for now. If it was one of her "brethren" -- an infected -- she'd purely avoid it. If not, she'd most likely lay down and whine about how she was absolutely dying and that you should take pity on her right now by doing something nice. With a twitch of her wet nose, the female continued padding forward until she was at a safe distance where she could listen and, hopefully, not be caught.

[note to those who don't know; Cephei doesn't actually have the infection. she's delusional. lol.

"...Be Careful What You Wish For..."

Name: Boga
Age: 3 Years Of Age
Gender: Male
Species: Canine
Breed: Belgian Malinois

Personality: Energetic & Curious: This young male could chase his tail for hours, not giving a hoot about what's going on around him. His stamina is similar to that of a shaken soda can ready to explode. Boga is one to often seek more about something, hitting him with a 'curious' persona. Learning new things is a must for him especially when it has to is with his training or anything about the island's nature.

Adventurous & Brave: Even if its a short hike in the woods or a stroll on the shores, count this dog in! He loves to experience life and see what's out there. The surroundings of nature put him in a peaceful mood, but mainly in the moments of solitude. Then their are the moments where tremendous bravery is needed in order to get something done. Boga will often to volunteer for these things, as he always viewed heroic actions as doing something 'good', even if he is too young for the task at hand.

Loyal & Honest: Remaining loyal to his pack is something Boga promises to do. He looks up to his alpha, who he sees to be one of the most loyal dogs he knows. Boga always lives up to his promises, and if he doesn't, he feels as if he is swimming in a pond of regret. With his honest attitude, it makes it easier for one to trust him, even with the littlest things.

Backstory: Woke up the next morning. Boga went to his owner's rooms and realized they were missing. Strangely, it was Sunday, and humans didn't work on a Sundays. Searching he looked throughout the entire house and still didn't find anybody. By the time he reached out, he started hearing werid groaning sounds. But deadly... He looked around and turned behind, seeing the most horrible sight. His owner peeled and dead; eyes rolled back and hunger for blood. Whining yet having the fighting chance, he jumped and took it for the throat. Within an instant it died. "You're not my master" Growling he jumped above the fence and struck the amazing land. He looked up and realized it was a new beginning.

Infected: Nope; free as a bug.
Group(?): He is willing to, but not at the moment.

@DelightfulRevenge - Of course you're accepted! Hop in whenever you feel like it.

Also, I have updated the second introduction. I have decided that in order to keep the roleplay a little more interesting, dogs and cats are in fact immune to the virus; although some aren't aware of this. However, if being bitten they do suffer for several days with vomiting, aching muscles and joints, exhaustion, heightened aggression, weakness, fever and a few other symptoms. After this the dog may begin to pick up, or remain on-concious for a few days - then after that they should be fine, and only a little startled.

Although, you will also have the option of not being immune. Which is usually towards puppies and elders, seeing as their immune systems aren't as strong. However, they can be prone to this at early/late stages in a way. Even if you're a dog which is still young, yet older you may get ill and actually get the virus - this being because of your immune system. These dogs will suffer the symptoms which all go through, then knock out for a day or so before coming back as the mutant/zombie type dogs.
If you too have any ideas, feel free to share.

Boga

His eyes blinked. He felt his jaw clenching onto the peeled skin of the owner he once knew; his teeth ripping through the throat and deep within, through the bones. The zombified owner groaned louder moving its undead arms, gripping on the large canine's pelt. Then and there, he growled and his jaw grew intense. His jaw clenched even tighter before and felt the unpleasant taste of the blood, while it drooled to the side of his lips and down his muzzle. Suddenly, he closed his eyes and knew it was over. He whimpered at himself and blamed this was his fault - being the reason why his master was like this creature. He opened his eyes and looked down at the zombie who was now dead. He whimpered remembering the face of his master, as if it was behind the zombie mask. But sadly, it was just his mind that was fooling him. "Maybe next time I'll do better. Then again, you are not my master"

Panting he flashed out. His paws were moving and on the go. Was he running? Oh, that's it. He was. RUNNING FROM A LARGE PACK OF DOGS..or dead? --Nevermind, time couldn't be wasted. Boga jumped and over the car he went, following by the others behind. Panting he begged himself to find a shelter that no other creature can find. Or hopefully someone who he can meet up and get the heck of this place. In the meantime, main objective: Lose the hungry [yet] ugly mutts. Running for his dear life, his paws kicking him off the ground then back down, he ran in an smooth move before turning the sharp corner, which he managed to controlled since he was in few dog racing before.

Dog racing? Ah, yes. Boga was listed first place for Dog racing and most possessive dogs. Spooky, yes, but Boga was a sweetheart; girls loved him. He first started when he was only a pup and just a beginner. But over the years he grew with power and strength. They said they were going to send him away for popular dog show, but sadly, his owner didn't have the money. It didn't bother Boga because soon afterwards he fell in love with the love his life. The female surprisingly lived next door to him too.

A short month later, she randomly moved away to South American and never saw him again. It was sad for Boga.

Finding a hole leading to a building Boga didn't hesitate and began crawling. Luckily no one saw him since he left them after the sharp. Now safe and sound, he sighed with relief and felt to the wooded floor, closing his eyes.

Vera
Vera turned to the voice, her hackles raised and her teeth slightly bared, she couldn't be too careful. She looked at the female Malinois, her brown eyes looking her over, she soon calmed down and didn't look aggressive "My name is Vera, who am I speaking to?" she barked. Vera was still tensed up, prepared for almost anything that was thrown at her. She peered back at the female "What brings you here?" Vera's head  turned to her left, the sound of a stick snapping drew her attention. The wolf dog's hackles raised once again "Hear that?" she growled as she stalked forward. The female's ears twitched as they were listening for any other movements. She glanced back at the canine before standing straight and backing away "I guess it was nothing." Vera saw movement behind a fence, her teeth bared she turned to it "Who is there?" she growled before turning to the Malinois "Did you bring someone with you?" Vera began to wonder if she were going to be attacked so she tensed back up, she would let the dog speak before she jumped to any decisions.

Sorry for the lousy post, I just threw stuff together. I was also having trouble with what to do. Once things get more interesting my post's will become better.)

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Daciana remained rather quiet as she examined the opposite canine. The lass didn't seem of any pure breed, and appeared a lot like a wolf - something she wasn't too unfamiliar with. Allowing her dark auditories to follow over the females body, she processed the words 'Vera' she'd repeat over in her head, allowing her mind to process the name and place it with her face. In case they crossed paths after this encounter that is. Or, unless she decided to tag along with her and the pup. Giving her head a light nod "The name's Daciana..." she replied, her voice at its usual raspy tone. Flicking her tail out now and then, she'd allow her eyes to wonder off of the female dog now known as Vera. Dacianas eyes wondered on to the distant houses and streets - something was still out there, she could sense it. However, she wasn't going to cause a fuss over this and decided to remain silent. A sudden bang causing her attention to fall on to the pup behind her. Reima seemed to have lost interest in listening to the duos conversation, and instead seemed to have wondered over to a large pile of wood and metal, the trash can now being knocked over and the young, grey pups rear poking out. Smirking a little the Malinois turned her attention back on to the female, hearing her second question about why she was here. Setting herself on her haunches, seeing as she was no threat. "Well, we stay in this house right here." she spoke, gesturing towards the house.

However, her attention seemed to have turned on to the noise which was caused by the young pup behind the fence. Letting out a huff she lifted herself to her paws and stepped a little to the side, the pups rear end being revealed as she remained in the can. Shaking her head Daci placed her paw on the fence and shoved it a few times, causing it to quietly rattle "Reima!" she called, her head tilted. Hearing her name the young pup stopped for a moment, listening quietly as the fence beat against the can. Raising her brows the youngster backed up,  making her way out of the circular exit and now ventured out in to the relatively large garden of the house. Approaching the fence quietly she looked up at Daciana, who gestured towards the female. "I'm Reima!" the pup would bark, not loud enough to attract any unwanted attention though. And seeing as Daciana motioned for Reima to join them, the Catahoula mix took no time nor hesitation to bolt across the grass patch and push herself through the hole - just managing to push the wooden slab back over the hole, but not all the way. Charging around the fence, Reima stopped near Daciana, but a few steps in front. Her brown auditories locked upon the what seemed to be mix bred canine - interest piercing through the pup as she tilted her head and allowed her tail to sway to and fro.

Lady
"... Never was so much owed by so many to so few ..."

She lurked in the shadow's as the last remnants of the blasted creature entered into silence, only for the sound of nails upon the floor perking her already alert ears. Only to find a very pregnant female round the corner and stop a short distance from her previous position. She snorted, the wanted ruckus calling for unwanted attention. She wanted to know what was in there. Eyes darted to the derelict house and another unexplainably loud grunt escaped her, seeming to perk the strangers interest more. Just as Lady was about to make herself known, the real prize entered the area from the exact house she was looking at. A grin replaced her serious expression and once again she made an attempt to move forward, only to have what appeared to be a rather irritating caned to step forth, causing her to scoff. Childish. Luckily she still had a good distance to cover before she would reach the acclaimed crowd.

Finally, the female stepped forth from the shadow's, a growl escaping her pale lips as vibrant blue eyes gazed down on the three figures, introducing one another, as her pads waded about the debris with little effort towards them. "I hope you don't mind me leaving that smelly thing to rot, but I have no interest in carrying it away." Lady said, her voice taking on a matter of fact tone as she approached, intent set clear upon her face. She stopped, a daunting figure of cream pelt and foreboding aura dominating her to the core. Inclining her head to each, she too introduced herself; "The name's Lady, although the dogs at the station call me Sheriff." She stated, a cheeky wink directed towards the young whelp. A degree of sly indulgence glittering in the nebulae sea of her eyes. She was a solid form, advancing upon the child with clear intent. Not to kill of course, but they didn't know that. "You wouldn't happen to be willing to give your little home to little old me would you?"

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix
Age: Nine months. (About eleven in human years).
Gender: Male
Species: Cat
Breed: Singapura

Personality: Felix is caught between two opposite characteristics; a distrust of others, and a fear of being alone. Although he possesses a basic set of survival skills from his life in a stray cat colony, he's still fairly young to be able to survive on his own. Faced with a threat, he'll usually try to run away rather than fight.
Under all the wariness and fear, he can be loyal to the point of clingy. If someone managed to befriend him, they could find a life long friend-or someone all too easy to manipulate for their own devices.

Backstory:Felix was born into a colony of stray and feral cats. Although some of the colony hunted, most either rummaged through human garbage or ate whatever the cat lovers of the city put out for them. The cats were unwelcome to most of the city's human and stray residents, (especially the dogs), but Felix's early years were generally uneventful ones.
After the humans left, though, everything went downhill quickly. Cats would fight viciously over food and shelter. Some even started eating kittens.
Felix, like many younger or weaker cats, ran away from the colony and took to a lonely life of hiding to survive. Although most of the cats he sees are the infected, Felix still hopes that someone from his colony survived.

Infected: No, can change.
Group(?): No, can change.
Crush: No, can change.
Kittens: No, can change.

Extra
~Is not neutered, and is fertile.

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

    The cat was obviously dead.
It had been dead long enough that its corpse had gone to pieces. The eyes were glazed. The ragged patches of fur showed glimpses of the rotted muscle underneath. It even smelled of death; a heavy, musky, stench that lingered in the nostrils of anything unfortunate enough to come across it.
But it was alive. The corpse paced back and forth, ears twitching slightly.
And those glazed eyes were staring at him.
It couldn't see him. The eyes were useless. But it might be able to smell him. And if he moved, it would definitely hear him.
But where would he have moved? He was trapped. The alley ended abruptly at the dumpster he was flattened against, a barbed wire fence behind it. The thing had cornered him while he was picking through the few moldy scraps that had fallen out of it.
He could try to run past it. But he was smaller and younger. It would catch him almost instantly.
He could scramble up the dumpster. But even if he managed to climb the smooth metal, what then? The thing might be able to climb. And if it couldn't, all it would have to do was wait.
He could...fight it? The idea was ridiculous. It was stronger. There was no point in playing the hero.
The thing tensed, arching its back, and hissed. It coiled to spring at him.
There was no more time. It was all over. He would never be able to find out if any other cats from his colony had survived.
    It leaped at him.
He did not run. He did not climb. He did fight. In the split second he had, he squeezed underneath the dumpster, losing only a patch of fur to the thing's claws.
The alley had been dim, but the space beneath the dumpster was all but pitch black. Only a gleam of light had managed to squeeze in with him.
He could not see the thing writhe in anger, raking the cold metal with its claws, but he could hear the clamor it made. It would figure out how to get to him in a minute or two. He would not die in a dimly lit, cold alley, with his back pressed against a rusty dumpster. He would die underneath a rusty dumpster, in the dark, with hardly any space to move.
The thing began to paw at the underside of the dumpster, as if figuring out how to slide inside. There was absolutely no point in moving. Look where it had gotten him!
Nevertheless, he did not want to face death motionless and protest-less. So, for lack of anything better to do, he began to crawl forward.
He crawled until he could wiggle out from under the dumpster and brush against a barbed wire fence.
And the thing crawled after him.
The cat-corpse's motions were the same. Hiss. Tense. Coil.
    Spring.
As it launched itself at his throat, he sprung backwards.
And he fell through a hole in the fence.
The thing was not so lucky. With a guttural caterwaul, it caught itself on the ragged metal. The sharp stands of the fence dug into it, embedding itself deeper with each of the thing's frantic motions.
Hidden in the grass behind the fence, Felix waited for his heart to stop pounding, and gave a joyous meow, like a kitten.
     He was alive.
The thing could not catch him. He was safe.
He was as safe as when he had lived among other cats, hunted with them, played them. He was as safe as when the kind old man who put food out in his yard for all the stray and feral cats of Queton City, the one who had been one of the last humans to leave, had made soft crooning noises at him and given him his name.
And he was safe enough to look for any the cats he knew that had survived, and escape a life of constant hiding and loneliness, with only the eerie noises of the living corpses to listen to.
And because he was amazed to be alive, and because he was hopeful, and most of all because safety was a feeling he had not felt in a long, long, time, he fell asleep in the grass, with only the howling of a cold wind and a corpse-cat ripping itself to shreds as his lullaby.

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

It seemed that their company was short lived as the two unknown canines soon took their leave, leaving the muscular Malinois standing in the street, alone. Thrashing her tail to and fro, the brown pigmented canine would turn her attention on to the black marked pup whom sat at the fence with her head tilted. Raising a brow, Daciana let out a deep grunt "What're ye looking at?" she'd question, taking a step forward and batting at the metal, chain link fence with her broad paw. Glaring up at her mother like figure, Reima would take a step back, her eyes narrowed a little at the elder canine. "I think we should go out for a little, I need to stretch my legs...." the pup would suggest, a wide smile formed at her paws as she placed her front paws on to the fence and stood on her hind legs, tail wagging behind her as she watched the larger canine. "I guess it wouldn't hurt, step outa line and we're heading right back!" she growled, watching as the pup nodded her head and pushed herself under the fence. Trotting over, she pulled a plank of wood over the hole to stop any creatures from entering. Once doing so, she turned and headed down the street.

Everything seemed quiet and still, it had been days since she had seen one of those rotten creatures lingering around, and surprisingly she had only seen living creatures in the past few days. Quite strange if you ask her. Daci wasn't the skittish type, and was one to stand her ground and to not scare. But the feeling of those creatures watching them from the shadows send a shiver down her spine. Not only was it creepy, but they were constantly in danger. If those things wanted to attack they would. Narrowing her eyes, the aggressive female would walk along side the young pup, looking down every alley and street carefully, now and then shooting glances behind them in case one decided to take the opportunity of attacking them from behind. Reima on the other hand was rather calm, and excited about actually being out instead of being caged in that house and yard. But she guessed Daci only done it for her safety. Now and then the pup would trot ahead, chuckling slightly and leaping around, but would quieten down when Daciana told her to do so. She didn't want to be the reason as to why they'd be attacked and possibly killed. Flicking the pink collar around her neck, she'd hold herself closely to the larger female.

A sudden screech caught the Malinois' attention, causing her to let out a deep growl. Looking down at the pup, she gestured for her to follow. Taking lunging leaps forward, Daci hurled herself towards the constant source of screeches, something seemed in pain. Reima following closely, her tiny paws thudding at the ground as she tried her best to keep hot on her heels. However, the pup suddenly slammed in to the back of Dacianas legs. Looking up, she noticed a cat stuck on a fence. Taking a step back, she plopped herself down. Daciana growled, this creature was making too much noise. Stepping forward, she'd lunge herself at the cat, wincing slightly as it clawed at her paw. However, tearing it off of the fence, she violently thrashed it around, slamming it to the ground, she sunk her teeth in to its neck and jerked her head. A sickening crack sounding. Throwing it aside she looked at the pup "Lets go, the noise probably attracted unwanted attention..." "Got ya!" and with that, the two set off once more.

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix woke up with a start.
Had he heard something? Smelled something?
He lay absolutely still in the swaying grass, and tried to pinpoint what had woken him.
As for the sound, he couldn't hear anything. Nothing but the wind, that is.
Wait...hadn't there been sound before? Some kind of-
His eyes widened as the memory came flowing back into his befuddled head.
    The corpse-cat wasn't yowling anymore.
That meant it was either a real corpse now...or it was trying to catch him off his guard.
He slowly raised his head, and looked at the fence.
No, it wasn't moving. Almost definitely not alive.
    He padded over to it.
Yup, it wasn't alive. It was twisted at an odd angle, though. And there were some strange marks on it.
He bent down for a closer look, and was hit by a stench.
Part of it was simply the stink of rotting meat. But part of it was different. Less musky. More of a warm, acrid scent.
He felt like he remembered the smell. It reminded him of of the colony-no not quite, but it reminded him of the streets, of...of...
     It reminded him of dogs.
Those marks on the corpse were bite marks. Large ones. It looked as if at least one large dog had been here recently. And even though it stunk a bit, like all dogs, it smelled like it was alive.
Had it seen him? Had it ignored him?
And should he try to find it?
The dogs on the street had never been particularly kind, especially to cats. They barked and howled and stole food and chased cats across streets and into alleys or trees.
If he had been faced with this choice before, when Quenon City wasn't full of the living dead, he wouldn't even have considered going after the dog.
No, he would have run back to the safety and numbers of the colony, and spent the rest of the day eating mice remains and fooling around with the other younger cats.
But that was then. This was now. Some other cat from the colony probably had survived. Some cat had to have survived, right?
But they weren't here. There was no one to hunt with, no one to play with. No one to talk to. No one to even help him with the basics of survival.
And alone, he wouldn't last long.
He had escaped the corpse-cat by sheer luck. How many other corpse-cats were there in the city? Dozens, at least. Maybe hundreds.
It might be nice having company for a while. Even if was only a big, smelly dog. At least until he found a living cat he recognized.
Felix took a moment to stretch his rather stiff muscles, and then set off quickly, following the smell of the large canine.

I was wondering what would happen if the other users in The Left Ones didn't return to the roleplay, and I realized it would probably die out.
I think that would be awful. I'm a first-time roleplayer, and I really like The Left Ones. I personally think it's one of the best (if not the best) roleplays on Feralheart.
I took a look at the Group Advertising Board, in the General Roleplay section of the Roleplay Forum, and it seems like a lot of roleplays that were in danger of dying out recovered after advertising there.
Maybe you should think of advertising The Left Ones in it? It's a pretty unique roleplay as far as the Feralheart Forum goes, and as it is the description you made is amazing, with lots of visuals, a simple set of rules, and a solid plot. I'm lots of users would join if it was advertised!

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

The short walk was rather silent, Daciana didn't really have much to say about what happened, she had already warned the pup before they left, and had already spoke to her when they were at the fence. Letting out a grunt, she'd allow her muscles to rest, being tense caused them to ache ever so slightly. However, a low growl emitted from her maw as a crash seemed to have echoed from an alley, narrowing her eyes she stopped at the entrance. Turning her attention on to the pup as she headed towards the alley, Daci placed her paw in front of her and pushed her pack "Wait at the entrance, the last thing I want is you being eaten." Her voice stern as she narrowed her eyes a little, dipping her head before she set off. Stepping over the pup, she poked her head around the corner, nothing? She definitely heard something. Carefully she'd take each step, making sure not to knock, or stand on anything which would alarm whatever it was down here. Lowering herself a little closer to the ground as she entered the shadows, her eyes locked upon a small, what seemed white figure. More than likely a cat, the mutated canines seemed to prefer the open, from what she had gathered. Watching it carefully, a disgusted look filled her face as the feline stood in a small beam of light. The supposedly white cat was now grey, matted with blood, dirt and food, as well as it's long fur being tatty, one of its eyes ghost like and chunks seeming to be missing out of its flesh here and there. A disgusting site indeed. Watching it a little longer, she noticed the feline lower itself in to a crouch, and head towards the opening of the alley. Shaking her head "Oh no you don't!" she growled as she lunged out of the shadows, startling the feline as it hissed and threw itself against the wall. Managing the grasp its body in her maw, she slung it towards to closed end of the alley. Narrowing her eyes, her body tensed and her ears flattened against her head as she stalked towards the creature, snarling and growling, saliva falling from her maw.

Meanwhile, Reima watched from a distance. The cat seemed startled by the sudden motion of the larger canine, which was somewhat amusing to her. Taking a few steps back, the pup would set herself on to her haunches, allowing her brown gaze to fall on to the streets, everything was a lot different now. Letting out a huff, her attention slowly turned back towards the battle. However something caught the corner of her eye, something moving in the distance. Leaping to all fours, she turned her attention towards the direction, her eyes following a tail as it seemed to trail past one of the near by corners. The fur looks rather tidy, this surely couldn't be one of those mutant beasts. Poking her head round, Dci still seemed rather busy and she didn't want to disturb her. Giving her shoulders a gentle shrug, she quickly made her way up the street, after the figure. The pups head remained tilted as she trotted across the pavement and around the corner. Soon enough, her eyes locked on to the creature. It seemed to be a cat, smaller than her. Letting out a quiet yip, she took several playful leaps forward. "Hey!" she'd call, wagging her tail she continued to take small steps towards the feline, her posture showing she wasn't a threat.

Daciana on the other hand was totally oblivious to the young pups absence. Her attention was drawn to the feline as it continued to hiss and lash out at her. Taking a step back, the lass stood upright, tilting her head at the small felines attempts to lash out at her. "You creatures really don't have brains, do you...." she'd mutter giving her head a shake, only to have her leg clawed. Growling, she lunged towards the feline, pushing her large paws in to its side, she ignored the bellowing shriek which emitted from its maw. Parting her jaws, she'd grasp the feline between them once again, giving it a few violent shakes before sending it flying one more, her lip now being cut as the cat clung on to her trying to escape. Getting slightly irritated, Daci decided to stop toying with the cat, and end its misery. Slamming her paws on to the felines head, then clamping her jaws around its neck, the thrashing body soon stopped. Hanging still from her maw. Dropping it to the ground, the Malinois spat clumps of the creatures blood from her maw, lunging towards a puddle she lapped up the liquid frantically, until getting rid of the sickening taste. Running her tongue across her lip, she attempted to clean the blood from her slit, then heading out of the alley her eyes widened. "Reima!" she called with a growl, yet panic in her voice. Pointing her snout in several directions, she soon managed to pick up the scent of the pup, a look of victory on her face as she darted off down the street and around a corner.

Skidding to a halt, her eyes locked on to the pup as she bounced forward, her tail wagging. Furrowing her brows, she allowed her gaze to rest upon the small feline which seemed to stand a short distance away. Narrowing her eyes, she quickly bolted forward, standing protectively at the pups side as she looked at the feline. Closer examination proved that the feline was not infected and in fact was a young kit, which appeared to be alone. Letting out a huff, sympathy took over the female as she looked down at Reima. "Sorry, Dcia. I just seen them and...." the pup soon hushed herself and plopped down on to her haunches beside her 'mother'. Nodding to tell the pup it was alright "Just don't do it again, I was worried." she huffed, before looking back at the feline. "You all alone, kid?" she questioned, her voice rasped.

(Maybe, I may consider that for the future. Although I'm not too sure about advertising that way. I'll consider it though but I'm glad you like the roleplay, it'd be sad to see it go in-active.)

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Two dogs filled his line of vision, a big one, and a small one.
The big one was...big. The kind of dog that kittens imagined chasing them in their nightmares. She (the voice was rather raspy, but he thought it was a she) looked like she could snap his back in two without any effort.
In fact, she could. He'd just seen her do it to a corpse-cat. If she had no qualms about going head-to-head with the living dead, what would stop her from doing it to him?
The other one was also female, but much smaller. A puppy, maybe. Felix wasn't really the best judge of size, as his breed were naturally small. The puppy seemed friendly. She didn't seem afraid of the bigger dog, either.
Maybe the best option was to talk to the big one, instead of running. She did seem interested in whether he was alone.
      Was that a good thing?
He'd err on the side of caution.
"I'm a bit older than a kid,"Felix calmly addressed the larger dog, hoping she wouldn't notice that his tail was twitching."I am alone at the moment, though. I lost track of my companions. My name is Felix. Who are you? And why are you here?"
And does it involve mauling me to death?

(If you're unsure about the group advertising board, maybe you could put "open and accepting" or, "always accepting" in the thread title. That way users scanning the forum know at once that the roleplay is always open. The submissions might not be flowing in now because it doesn't really say anywhere that the submissions are open. I wasn't too sure until you told me, after all.)

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Reima allowed her eyes to wonder on to the land behind the cat, her tail wagging as she looked at the open fields. However, she knew Daci would disapprove of her running rabbit in them, seeing as anything could be lurking in the tall strands. Letting out a huff, the black patched pup pushed herself on to her paws, and turned towards the older female. Going underneath Daci, she would stand between her two front legs, her head tilted as she listened to the cats words, maybe this was a companion for her? Excitement soon sparked the youngster as she hurried from between the Malinois' legs and hopped in front of her, her back now to the feline. "Daci, can we keep him? Pleaseeee?" she'd beg, raising one of her paws and pawing at the older dog, hoping to get her attention and hoping that she would agree on this cat tagging along with them. Even if what she said didn't sound the same as what she meant, she knew what she meant. Her tail now viciously wagging and her ears were also erect as she looked at the much larger canine, her head arched up to look in to her eyes.

Allowing her brown auds to trail off of the unknown feline, they soon rested on the pup. She seemed to be excited about something, and all was soon revealed.  Letting out a snort, she looked at the younger cat then back at the pup. Daciana didn't really 'like' cats, from the ones which were around now that is, but she didn't like the canines neither. She was unable to judge on a living one, she hadn't really had much experience with them. Gently shaking her head "No, you cannot keep him..." she growled faintly, her gaze now seeming rather stern as she looked down at the pup "But...." Ri was soon cut off. Leaning forward, she placed her paw on the pups rump "Come here..." she grunted, pulling her paw forward, bringing the pup along too. Allowing the youngster to sit herself back by her side, Daciana lowered herself on to her haunches. Pushing aside the pups antics, she went back to the feline. Letting out a grunt at his first comment "Anyone younger than me gets called kid..." she shrugged, not wanting to seem harsh of course, she just done it with everyone. Even if they were fully grown, they'd still get called kid if they were younger. Hearing what he had to say next about his group, she took her time to look around. It sounded about right, she hadn't seen any living things around here, well cats that was. She had seen a few dogs. It was all quite strange really. Most of the cats seemed to be mutants or some sort.

Quickly turning her gaze to the cat, now known as Felix, she nodded. "Well, Felix, if you wish I guess you can tag along with us, until you find your group. Haven't seen any live cats around here for quite some time now..." she informed, letting out a soft huff. When suddenly something bumped against her leg. Rolling her eyes, a quiet chuckle emitted from the harsh lass. Reima had gotten a sudden feeling of excitement, once more, as Daciana agreed that the cat could come around with them. But, to not receive any further scoldings, she would quickly push herself back on to her haunches, her tail wagging as she looked at the cat with a grin "I'm Reima!" the pup quickly introduced, looking up at the larger canine then back towards the feline. "Yes, this here is Reima. I am Daciana." she introduced with a quick smile.

{Yes, I know what to post and such. I'm just not too sure if that would help, I usually just let people join if they see my rp. xD Although I will consider it.}

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix watched the little dog (R- r something- Reima! That was it) dance around the bigger one, Daciana.
He didn't particularly like the idea of being owned, like a kill you'd just caught, but in his (extremely limited) experience with kittens, they usually said things the wrong way. Puppies probably acted the same way.
Anyway, from all the silly bouncing around he gathered that Reima was thrilled at the idea of some company. He couldn't see her stirring up any trouble. Maybe he could try to...what was it that puppies liked to do? Catch mice? Leap into the air? He could do that with Reima.
Somehow the way Daciana gazed at Reima made him feel safer. Like there was nothing to worry about, even though there was.
As Daciana growled out her assent, he slowly relaxed. He hadn't realized how tense he'd been.
Now they only had to start moving. Any direction was good. Especially if cats had gone the same way. Daciana knew what direction to go in, right? She had to have a plan. He always did, or tried to.
"I'm pleased to meet you," Felix purred out. "Both of you," he added, as he caught Reima's eye. "Where were you two heading for? I'm not that familiar with this part of the city. Or most of the city, really. Maybe you could tell me about it?"
He fixed his eager eyes on the dogs, and strained his ears, waiting for any information. It was good to know things.

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Allowing her tail to slowly sway behind her, the large sandy coloured canine turned her attention behind her. As usual, the streets were empty and silent, nothing seeming to cause to much of a noise. Nothing ever did actually. Although the silence was nice, it was also rather irritating. She had always been use to the constant explosion, gun fire, shouting and heavy machinery. Now, she was surrounded by silence, the only thing seeming to match with this would be the constant chatter of her young companion. Dacia loved the army, but couldn't stay. Losing her sense of smell being the main reason, the radiation gave her it back though - well a little. Smelling things is one of her weaknesses, even if she does try and cover it up. Her sense of direction often helped though, seeing as she knew her way around the city, left many unaware and many being unable to notice she was actually unable to smell as good as most. However, this didn't seem to get her down, and she was still a fighter like she had always been. Narrowing her eyes, the Malinois gave her head a vicious shake, forcing herself out of a trance. As usual, something felt weird. Like something was watching them. Emitting a low grunt, she turned her attention back on to the small feline as he spoke Nice to meet you too..." she'd reply, her voice a lot softer than it had been before, but still rather raspy. Nice to meet you!" Reima yapped as she picked herself up off of her haunches and stepped out from between the larger dogs legs. Her head tilted slightly.

Running her tongue across her lips, Daci shoved the pup gently forward, seeing as she seemed to be holding back a little, not wanting to approach the unknown feline. However, with the gentle push, she took a few steps closer, then beginning the examine the young feline, she also began taking is his scent - blocking out most of the conversation, Daci would handle it. And that she did. Perking her ears at the felines question, she used her head to gesture down the way they had came "I've been here for a few years now, know this place like the back of my hand... It never use to look like this...." she huffed before continuing "Well, we've got a secure set up in one of the more quieter parts of the city, not too far from here. A fairly sized house with a fairly sized yard - and a large barbed fence around." the description was just faint, but probably enough. Daciana wasn't one to really welcome others in to their small pack, but Felix was young. If left out here alone he'd more than likely die or be mauled by one of the mutants. So this was something she'd do out of good will. Besides, Ri wouldn't be as bored now, having another a similar age. Daci herself didn't mind being somewhat 'alone' she seen herself only useful for keeping Reima and now Felix safe, unless the group grew - she'd see herself as an alpha. Of course, this was the closest that had actually been to having their group grow, others would stay for a few minutes then leave as quick as they could.

A sudden clatter from around the corner caused the females head to jerk behind her, a low growl emitting from her maw as her hackles raised and her muscles tensed. Making a 'shh' sound to hush the two, Daciana quietly turned and made her way towards the corner, slowly she'd creep forward, peering around the corner, there seemed to be nothing. Narrowing her eyes slightly, she looked down the other end of the street, nothing there either. Crouching down a little, she made her way slowly down the street and towards another. Looking down, she noticed a small group of two mutants, heading there way. Panic struck the female slightly, she was alone, and with two younger creatures much couldn't be done. She'd only be able to take them out one by one, but that wouldn't be necessary right now. Taking a few paces back, she turned and sprinted back towards her previous position. Reima had head the clatter, and looked at Felix, before turned her attention on to Daciana as she returned, scowling the pup tilted her head "What was it?" she'd question, excitement seeming to boil in the pup, until it was revealed that is. Letting out a low growl, she didn't stop, making her way forward she nudged Ri in to the direction they'd be heading. "We're going, now! Mutants are heading our way, and not just the small ones.." irritation showing in her voice as she gestured for Felix to follow, is he wanted to. The lass took no time in hesitating and wanting Reima, and Felix, if he decided to join them, 'home' safe and sound. The last thing she'd want would be for any of them to be injured, or killed.

"Ill show you what 'fighting like a girl' really means!"

Name: Ilirhaeya
Age: 12 months
Gender: Female
Species: Cat
Breed: Norwegian Forest Cat

Personality:

At a young age, Ilirhaeya was always known for her over-active imagination. She was always a bit on the tomboyish side, preferring to wrestle with her brothers than look cute with her sisters. Dreaming up ideas of saving others, like the dogs she used to see on TV, Ilirhaeya was known for being rather imaginative as a child. This idea has followed her throughout life, making the girl a very 'Just' character. She has a very strong moral code, with a defined concept of whats right and whats wrong. She holds to this code firmly, and feels that as a 'protector', its her duty to protect the weak and fight for what she believes in. This includes destroying anything she deems evil. This view of the world often gets the girl in trouble, for she is always trying to play 'the hero.'

At her core, Ilirhaeya is a very confident, headstrong cat. She likes to come off as a fearless, and being young, she often feels that she is invincible. She is very sure of herself, and because she is talented in many qualities and strong for her age, she has little fear entering most situations. Being clever has gotten her out a lot of situations, but her stubbornness and unwillingness to back down has gotten her into a lot of trouble. Naturally independent, the girl likes to feel as if she needs no one, for she is, 'Ilirhaeya the knight!', the one who is more than capable of protecting herself! Despite this, the young cat often feels like she must help others who are in trouble. She could never leave anyone to fend for themselves, and feels like its her duty to protect those who need it.

- Loyal
- Brash
- Impulsive
- Spit-fire
- Competitive/Desire to be better than others
- Clever/Witty/Intelligent

Backstory:
Ilirhaeyea was born on the streets to a tough mother and kind father. She was tomboyish from the start, and the main thing she loved to do as a child was to wrestle. She admired her mother for her strength and for her scars, and deciding that she'd like to be like the tough woman, Ilirhaeyea was quick to drop her femininity in favor of something a little more..rumble and tumble. This was the main reason why she was so much closer to her brothers than her sisters, for she and them often got into a lot of trouble playing in the mud and exploring where they weren't supposed to. This all shaped the girl until what she is today, a fearless, headstrong character.

Her knightly and chivalrous attitude seems to come from her father, who she also greatly admired. She loved his tales about the dogs on 'TV' who saved humans and others from their doom. She wanted to rescue others, and at a young age she became this little knight who 'saved' her sisters from their rowdy brothers. It made her feel proud to be praised, and this has stuck with her all throughout her growth. When she was just a little older, she and her siblings were introduced to basic street life training. Being the competitive kitten that she was, Ilirhaeya strived to be better than all her siblings. She pushed herself as hard as she could go, always trying to prove that she was better, that she was the strongest of the lot- and that seemed to shape her personality today. While her parents always laughed this off, this is what built the girl's cleverness and ability to think quickly in intense situations.

When disaster hit, Ilirhaeya and her family barely managed to escape. With the two of her weakest sisters turned into infected, she and her family had to leave their home to find a better place to survive. This is where Ilirhaeyea toughened the most. She needed to be strong for her remaining siblings, and she strived to prove to her mother that she knew how to survive. Her stubbornness is what got her mother killed, or at least, that's what she believes. One day, when she had been feeling particularly brave, Ilirhaeyea had wandered off to find food for her starving family. She had been attacked, and right before she could fight back, her mother leaped to save her. She had been shoved by her mother, told to 'run', and in this intense moment, Ilirhaeyea did.

This moment haunts her, for this was the day she lost her family. She hasn't seen them since, and she feels like she had abandoned them. Guilt often sneaks up on her on her lonely days, but she tries to ignore it and shove it to the back of her mind instead of dealing with it. She knows she needs to be strong, like her mother, and so, she will be.

An enormous, two-headed, twelve-eyed, dangerous beast walked through the city. Ilirhaeya could see it, but she wasn't scared. She had been watching this beast for a while, and a great beast was he. There was a reason to fear this beast, but Ilirhaeya wasn't scared. She could see that its teeth were big, one tooth was twice the size of hers all put together, but she felt no fear. She was the one who needed to be feared, feared by all the monsters in Quenton City! They would all fear her sword, the one she held in her teeth at this very moment with a golden hilt and sharp edge. It was her monster-slaying sword, and it hadn't failed her yet.

This time would be no different.

Ilirhaeya was waiting for the right time to strike, and the beast was falling into her trap. It was coming her way, lumbering along, while she sat waiting atop the foundation of a barbed-wire fence for it to walk by her. It couldn't see her, despite the amount of eyes it bore, and for that the girl was relieved. It was coming closer, and Ilirhaeya clenched her jaw, her grip tightening around her sword before she decided it was time to attack. Springing from the fence with a muffled snarl, she lunged for the creature with her sword poised for the kill. As she landed on its back, it jumped into action, rearing back with a snarl and gnashing its terrible teeth. The dog-demon rose up on its two hind legs and wiggled in the air, attempting to knock the young cat off its back as it thrashed its head to and fro, snarling all the way.

Ilirhaeya sunk her claws deep into the monster's hide so she wouldn't be thrown off. She was still not afraid despite the situation, and she was convinced she didn't know fear! She scrambled up the creature's body as it moved erratically, looking quite comedic as she hung on for all she was worth. Finally at her target, the girl shifted her sword and with a sudden thrash of her head, plunged it into the monster's exposed neck. It moved wildly for a moment, but she thrust it in with all her might and held until the creature dropped underneath her. Ilirhaeya panted, jumping from the body clumsily and falling onto the street. She was tired, but proud, for the beast had been defeated!

The young cat sat up and smiled, puffing out her chest as she strutted towards the beast. "Take that you dumb monster!" She said with a grin, batting playfully at its face. "No longer will you plague these streets!" Her tail thrashed behind her as she moved to retrieve her sword from the beast's neck. In reality, it was just a overly sharpened stick, but she liked to pretend that it was a grand, monster-slaying sword dropped by some previous knight who had been defeated by one of these beasts. She'd follow in their pawsteps and use it to rid Quenton City of these beasts forever!

As she pulled the stick from the thing's body, she noticed that there was monster muck on the other end of her sword. She narrowed her eyes at its blood, and her nose wrinkled at the smell. Yeah, she'd definitely have to get this cleaned. If she left it on there, it'd probably taint her sword forever! Ilirhaeya was extra cautious about picking up her sword. She made sure she didn't touch the monster's blood, and then set it down next to the corpse. It was time to investigate. All monsters had some sort of treasure. The young cat began poking around the body, making sure not to touch it in case its tainted soul was still lingering around its corpse. She didn't want to get possessed after all.

Location: Near Daciana & Reima's house investigating the corpse of a infected dog she just killed.
Status: Groomed and obviously not infected. Generally looks clean but of course is dirtied by the life of the streets.

((yeaah, the monster isn't enormous/doesn't have two heads or twelve eyes, its just her imagination. ^^))

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix quickly digested Daciana's words, ignoring for the moment Reima's playfulness.
The elder dog's words answered a few questions. For one thing, it was clear that the place behind the barbed wire fence was a kind of protected sanctuary.
But Daciana's short reply had really created more questions than it answered. The house behind the fence was only a tiny dot on the expansive map of Quentin City. Her words were vague, and they didn't really tell him much about the city.
A sudden thought popped into Felix's head. Did Daciana mean to keep him in the dark? If she knew about city, and he didn't, he would be in her control. It could be a way of staying alpha.
But that was ridiculous! Daciana's only 'challengers' for authority were a puppy and a small cat. And somehow she didn't seem the type to play mind games. She was rough and tough, certainly, but she didn't seem cruel or controlling. She had let him stay, after all.
What if Daciana simply didn't know much about the city? It sounded like she and Reima spent their days in the fortified house. But that alternative was just as bad, if not worse. It meant that Felix's survival hinged on a dog without a map or a plan. Was he expected to sit in a house all day? It was definitely safe. But did he want safe? He wanted to find a recognizable cat, and if...if he couldn't quite find one, he wanted to get out of city.
Felix leaned toward Daciana and opened his mouth, about to ask if she really knew anything about the city-and he stopped.
His head whipped away from her, and he rotated his ears in the opposite direction, the way he'd come from. His slitted pupils flickered with intense interest, and every muscle in his small body tensed. His tail drifted behind him, like a wisp of smoke.
The reason for his startling change in behavior filled his ears. It bounced off walls and hung heavy in the air. It was a symphony of raspy, canine snarls.
And underneath those snarls, he could hear the yowls of a cat.
For a moment he lost all control of himself, and dashed off toward the sound. He was a brown blur, a missile on a predetermined course that he could not stray from.
Daciana's last words were lost in his flight. Her warning bark of mutants was unheard.
And just down a street, an enormous mutant cocked his head, and gave a rattly growl to his equally formidable companion. The first dog's rotting tail gave a limp wag, and both broke into a run. Both could almost taste sweet, fiery blood on their maggoty lips.

(I've been busy for a little while too. Sorry for that!)

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

The large canine allowed her head to turn towards the sudden, faint yowls. However, this didn't catch any interest for her, and instead she wanted to get Reima and Felix in to their 'safe zone' as they'd call it. Gently shoving the young pup forward, Daci took a few paces forward herself, before turning her attention to face the feline. A low, rasped growl emitted from the ex military dogs snout as her eyes rested upon a small, brown tail whipping around the corner. Narrowing her eyes a little, she hesitated on helping the cat. Sure, it'd be a good thing and leave him, she'd managed to survive so long, and managed to keep Reima as safe as possible. And she didn't want to pup getting hurt, or herself. But she couldn't let the youngster get slaughtered by two blood thirsty beasts. As many times as she told herself in her head to not turn around, her instincts kicked in. Giving her head a shake she growled once more "Come on!" she barked, kicking her heels back as she spun and sprinted up the street. What was she doing saving a cat? Usually she'd taunt these things for fun, she wasn't soft hearted either. Had this cat grew on her? Had the apocalypse made her soft? Whatever it was, she was about to make a tough decision, one which could end herself in a lot of trouble. Reima seemed to just listen to her, not bothering to annoy the elder dog any more, she didn't want to anger her, and she didn't want anything bad to happen. Turning, she'd bolt after the mother figure as fast as her legs would take her, then suddenly hopping down an alley, keeping herself low.

Charging down the street, Daciana frantically looked around, brow auds soon locking on to two mutants, barrelling towards the young feline. Letting out a low, husky growl, the large muscular female lunged forward, sending herself barrelling in to the two dogs. Despite being smaller than one of them, her weight seemed to have sent the three rolling across the rough textured concrete. Taking no time, the Malinois quickly rolled over and pushed herself up on to all fours, ignoring the dust and stones which were not mangled in her short fur. Parting all four of her legs, the canine would tense up her body as she hung her head low, letting out deep and somewhat frightening growls, saliva dripping from her maw. The two mutants would quickly do the same, rolling and pushing themselves up, but a lot less sturdy as they stumbled and snapped at one another. Until their red/yellow tinted eyes fell on to the sane creature. "Move, kid!" she'd growl, gesturing for the feline to get himself hidden. The last thing she wanted was for him to be mauled by these creatures. Hearing a sudden sharp growl,  her attention turned to the canine at the left of her, then the one at the right of her. Remaining tensed, the brown pigmented canine continued to glance back and forth, her eyes locked on to the two mutants. Reima seemed to remain hidden, her eyes widened with shock as she watched the two large canines circle Daciana, but she was too small to do anything. And so was Felix. Lowering herself to her stomach "Psst..." she'd whisper, trying to get his attention. Maybe they'd be able to come up with a plan.

As the two circled, Daciana began making her plan. First she'd take out the smaller dog, seeing as that'd be relatively easy, then her intentions would be on killing the larger one, seeing as that'd take more time and would be a lot harder to do. Placing one of her paws forward, the Malinois soon bolted forward, lunging herself in to the small, grey and white pelted canine as it stood growling. The two met by smashing in to one another, a large impact sounding in a deep thud. Batting at one another with their paws, Daciana would growl as the mutant would nip at her chest and paws to throw her off guard. Narrowing her eyes, the large female would make her way towards the canine neck, and with a few struggles she'd manage to grab the creature by its neck, thrashing back and forth viciously, causing the dog to let out a bellowing yelp. Until she was suddenly threw to the ground as the larger canine slammed its paws on to her back, sending her sprawling on to her stomach. Quickly turning, she was soon pinned by her shoulders. Struggling to get out of the behemoths grasp, a echoing yelp emitted from her maw as the smaller canine began tearing in to her hind legs, causing her to kick out in rage. Wriggling her head around, she'd try and prevent the larger canine from grasping her face, and her neck. Despite a few hurtful bites to her cheeks and tears to her ears, which ended in piercing yelps. The female managed to grasped hold of the canines ear, and with one quick, powerful thrash, she was able to rip the canines ear.

Relief struck the female as the larger canine was send stumbling backwards with a large yelp, several whines emitting from its maw as it began pawing at its ear. Panting heavily, now covered in blood and scratches, Daciana was ready to finish what she had started. Parting her maw slightly, she'd spit blood on to the light pavement, ridding her mouth of the horrid taste. Giving her head a quick shake, Daciana watched as the smaller canine barrelled towards her. When the time was right, she stepped out of the way, then quickly turned and used all of her weight to slam the canine to the ground. Pressing all her weight on to the canines side, she managed to grab its neck, tightening her grip despite its thrashing and the odd scratch it'd manage to give her. With each struggle, she'd tighten her grip. Piercing yelps sounded, and the thrashing continued. Letting out a grunt, the female was soon hurled off of the canine and shoved to the ground. Picking herself up, she turned to watch the larger canine stand over the young one, nudging it gently as it remained motionless. Its bright gaze soon turning to her. Grinning slightly, Daciana began to yelp in exhaustion. Maybe killing the smaller one first was a bad idea. Shaking her pelt, she charged towards the larger canine, hitting it with some force. The two began to tear at one anothers flesh and fling each other around, yelps sounding here and then, muffled growls constantly emitting from the battling pair. Soon enough, Daci was slung in to a wall, a loud thud echoing down the alley as she panted furiously. Looking up helplessly at the approaching mutant, her eyes would wonder on to Reima and Felix, her ears dropping a little as she looked back at the mutant, giving her head a shake. Feeling something smack in to her side, she'd pant heavier, the sudden sharp, piercing pain causing her to yelp. Looking, she'd lunge forward slightly, grasping the canines legs with hers, pulling it towards her she'd grasp it in her sharp fangs, causing it to yelp once more and stumble back. Taking this as an opportunity, she lunged up and began tearing at the creatures pelt, leaving large cuts and gashes. Managing to tip it on to its side, she began nipping it its neck, tightening her grip each time, before being pushed off.

Both canines were now exhausted, and possibly at the point of giving up. However, she wasn't going to lose this battle. She hadn't lost one before, and she certainly wasn't going to lose this one. She'd always been a stubborn mule, and this time it shone through more than ever, as well as her protective nature and the fact that she'd never give up. She had Reima to look after, and now possibly Felix if he decided to stay. Matted in blood and covered in battle wounds, the two exhausted canines began circling one another.

(So sorry, I've had exams and such.)

Ilirhaeya had been investigating the body of the demon-dog when she had heard a loud, strange noise. She turned her head sharply to her left, and perked her ears forward, suddenly alert as she tried to process what she was hearing. The yowl of a cat startled her, but it also caused her to narrow her eyes as she grew tense. Was someone in trouble?! Ilirhaeya moved to grab her sword quickly. One glance at the beast had her pausing in her movements, but she didn't stray for long before she took off towards the sound, deciding to leave the body there. It would be best to let the creature rot, and pray that it wasn't anything dangerous. She had more important things to do, like save the cat in trouble!

Adrenaline pumped through her body as she moved, her sword clenched tight in her jaws as she forced herself to move as fast as she could. She was just a little cat, and while she wanted to get there quickly, she knew she wouldn't be able to get there as a fast as she would have liked. She just hoped that the cat in trouble could hold their own until then. Cats were supposed to be strong, so Ilirhaeya wasn't too worried...unless it was a kitten! The girl found herself moving faster. She hadn't seen a cat in a while, especially after she had been separated from her family. If she helped this one out, maybe they'd become friends! Loneliness was too boring, and Ilirhaeya didn't live to be bored!

As she got closer to the scene, there were no more signs of the cat in the area. She only heard the sounds of dogs, growling and barking and snarling. The sounds continued while she ran, and she tried to move faster even when she was beginning to tire. Someone was fighting! That meant someone was in trouble! Ilirhaeya couldn't deal with her tiredness right now, not when she had someone to save!

When she had arrived at the scene, she processed what was going on quickly. There were two dogs fighting. It seemed like a brave dog was fighting off a mutant, a large one that reminded her of the one she had just taken care of. It seemed like they were both tired, and were circling each other to fight. While she was all about fair fighting, monsters didn't deserve such manners, and so she decided then to help the one dog that looked less mangled than the other. Ilirhaeya had made her way behind the mutant, or at least, managed to stay out of his sight. They were circling each other and Ilirhaeya was running to keep herself out of sight from the creature she wanted to attack. Her limbs were tiring, tiring fast, and the effect of sprinting all the way over there was starting to take its toll on her body. She needed to act now, or she wouldn't be helping anyone.

Ilirhaeya jumped into action, throwing her sword to the side as a new idea came to her head. Lowering her body to the ground,  the young cat bunched up her muscles and lunged for the canine's back, hoping her distraction would give the other dog enough time to attack. She had reached its side, digging her claws into its hide as she forced herself clumsily up onto its back. It thrashed at the feeling, easily distracted by the new pressure and pain on its back as Ilirhaeya struggled to stay on. "Hey! You big ugly demon!" She taunted from on top its back, hoping to distract it from the other canine. "C'mon! Come and get me off your back!" She shouted, climbing up its spine quickly and digging her nails deep into its skin as it howled wildly.

Location: On top of the infected dog Daciana is fighting.
Status: Groomed and obviously not infected. Generally looks clean but of course is dirtied by the life of the streets.

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

 She was fighting for him.
Daciana was a giant, lunging the the large dog, drawing blood and tearing flesh, the huge white cat, the white knight, helping her as best as it could, sinking its claws into the mutant.
She had cared. She had cared enough to save him from his stupid, mad dash. She had cared enough to kill and wound and exhaust herself.
He had stumbled upon the dogs, and he had seen their grimy hides and rotted faces, and he had seen his death staring back at him, licking its greedy lips.
And she had leaped in and saved him.
Would any of the colony cats have done the same?
He remember playing with faceless kittens, their features lost to time. He remembered stealing the prey of faceless cats, and of them stealing his. He remembered mounting faceless females with soft fur, their brief pleasure in the dark long forgotten.
Had any of them had kittens? Had they survived? How many times over was he a father? He had never thought about any of this before. But now he saw Reima's face on the imaginary kittens, Daciana's on the battle-scarred cats nursing them.
The colony had been a group of cats. Nothing more, nothing less. It was something to cling to, something to give him hope.
But now, in the middle of a battlefield, a new hope blossomed.
A rough but motherly alpha. A puppy who just wanted to play. And maybe a white knight who threw her sword down on the ground and leaped into battle.
Fear of death and regret and doubt and shame, shame at being the reason Daciana was bleeding all melted away for a moment, leaving a cool, cold calm, the anxieties held in place under its surface.
He was only eight pounds, normal for his breed but far too small in this battle between giants. But he could hide, just like Daciana had told him to do. And he would hide Reima with him, so safe that they would never be found, not until the bloody battle was over and he could be afraid and ashamed and anxious again.
Felix turned tail and ran, ran into the shadows. If Daciana was here, Reima must be nearby.
He found her next to a house, wide eyed and staring. Her eyes admitted their mutual helplessness, and asked for a plan, any plan.
He gestured behind them. The house was desolate. Its paint was peeling, the porch swing had long since fallen down and the door had been wrenched off its hinges.
But Felix didn't care how worn down the house was. He only cared that three boards had come loose on the side of the porch, loose enough for a small cat or puppy to crawl through.
"Come on!" he whispered. "We can wait this out there."
He set off towards the house.
"Don't worry," he reassured the silence,"Daciana's enough for a hundred mutants."
He hoped with all his heart that he was right.

(Taylor-You don't have to apologize about being away! Exams are hard, and of course life and school takes priority over zombie dogs.  ;) )

-Loudis, about the obsessive checking thing
Yeah, I'm guilty myself.  ;D
I'm a first time roleplayer, (but a long time roleplay thread stalker) and I really love this roleplay, but I hate waiting.
Every chance I get I leap onto my laptop and check if someone's posted, and if they haven't I keep on obsessively checking.
My thought process goes something like this; "well, they haven't been online for the last few days, and they did say they'd be at school/going on a cruise to Haiti/saving the world from the little green men, but they have to have posted since the five minutes ago when I just checked!"
At least all this excitement over a new post is a sign that the roleplay is really good.  :D
(I'm posting here instead of PMing you because my computer is going crazy. :P)

My thought process is exactly the same. xD
Ill log on, look at the roleplay, read over previous posts, and then leave the site to wait. Five minutes later ill check again and get disappointed when I see no one had posted yet. xD

Its been two seconds since I last checked, maybe someone posted?! - Me

They say they're going to be slaying the magical unicorn in a different dimension. They should have been able to post somewhere inbetween that battle! - Me

I hope Taylor's doing well on her exams. We wouldn't want the zombie dogs to ruin her future! ;)

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

The two dogs continued to circle one another, grunting and growling, as if challenging one another. Dacis eyes remained focused on the canines every movement, taking in each gesture. If there was one thing she head learnt whilst being with these beasts, is how to predict their next move. However she didn't seem to use this to her advantage that much, seeing as some moved in different ways. Although, most of the big beasts she had thought did move in the same way, and judging by the way this one was moving, ending this bloody battle would be one much easier than most. Turning her attention on to the young feline and pup, a fain smile formed at her bloody lips. Reima had been hiding ever since the fight had begun, eyes widened as she watched the three dogs tear in to one anothers flesh. Piercing whines emitting from her maw as both would maul her mother and cause her to yelp. Until one was left. Flattening her ears against her head, she'd watch as Daci and the larger mutant began to circle one another. Stepping out from the alley, her attention soon turned on to Felix as he spoke. Standing upright, she looked at Daciana then back at Felix, quickly nodding as she followed after him and squeezed through the small gap "I hope so..." she'd whine, lowering herself on to her stomach and placing her head on her paws, continuing to whine helplessly, her ears flattened against her head.

However, the fight seemed to take a completely different turn. The Malinois' brows raised and her head tilted, stopping in her tracks the muscular female would raise a leg and eye the small, light hued feline which had now worked its way on to the mutants back. Was she really getting help from a cat? Daciana was one to help another, but felt somewhat useless when one was helping her. She'd feel weak. Although, she had already fought off a fair sized mutant, which was now plastered against the ground, still and lifeless. Two fights with these things was enough to tire one out, especially since she was battling alone, and had taken quite the beating whilst doing so. Deciding this wouldn't be too bad, she snapped out of her trance, giving her head a quick shake she'd snap back in to reality. A look of amusement seemed to fill her face as the canine reared back on its hind legs in order to get the feline off. Sure her claws would have pierced the skin causing it to yelp, but it didn't seem to be too bothered about the pain, and its main goal seemed to be to try and get the creature off of its back. And possibly slaughter it. Shaking her head, Daciana would attack. Taking A quick step forward, the brown pigmented canine would narrow her eyes, letting out low, rasped growls as she leapt forward. Pushing her hind legs against the ground, Daci would send herself souring through the air, front legs pushed out and her jaws slightly parted.

Letting out one last growl, the lass would smash in to the canines side, quickly wrapping her mouth against the creatures neck as it continued to trash around. Managing to avoid several of the creatures blows, it was still able to land a few on to her face and wounded body, causing her to whine slightly, however her grip remained. Tightening her grip, she'd bat at the creatures face as it made several attempted to bite at her. However, failing to grasp her face or neck, the canine managed to wrap its sharp teeth around her leg, tightening its grip firmly causing her to release hers and let out another yelp. Falling flat on to the ground she'd thrash to and fro, smacking at the creatures face to get it to let go. Growling, Daciana would lunge up in rage, ignoring the pain which ran through her leg. Smashing her shoulder in to the creatures face, she'd grasp its windpipe firmly. This time reluctant to let go. Each time the creature moved, her grip would grow tighter, thrashing her head to and fro as the creature yelped and fell to the ground. Loosening her grip, she'd lunge and the creatures face, tearing at its cheeks and muzzle, before moving back to its neck. Placing one paw on its neck, and grasping the mutants windpipe firmly, she ignored the struggles as it thrashed around. Slowly but surely the creatures body went limp, now still and lifeless like its companion. In order to make sure the creature was dead, she would keep her grip for a few more minutes, before releasing her paw from the mutants neck.

Panting heavily, Daciana would take a step back, taking a moment to pull herself together as she looked at the white feline, examining her. Well, she was safe to say that she wasn't a mutant, and looked clean unlike other cats she had seen, but her long, white fur would slowly grow matted. Like mosts fur did. Clearing her throat "Reima...Felix?" she'd call in a slight panic, before turning her attention back on to the new found feline. "Thank you, may I ask of your name?" her raspy tone now pulling through as she turned to look over her wounded pelt. Giving her head a shake, she turned back to the feline, her front left leg lifted from the ground, bleeding and gashed. Great. Just what she needed. Letting out a huff, the ex military canine would puff out her chest, looking down at the smaller feline awaiting her answer, now and then shooting a glance behind her as she waited for Reima and Felix to return.

(Thank you, I should be done with my exams soon.)

The dog thrashed wildly underneath her. She didn't know if it felt the pain of her claws digging into its skin, but it was acting like it. It was howling loudly, barking and snarling and thrashing this way and that in an attempt to get her off. It swung its head to and fro, gnashing its terrible teeth and shaking violently in the air. Ilirhaeya had hung on with all her might, but it was getting harder to stay on with all the movement. She could see, from the corner of her eye, the dog who she was intent on helping coming to her rescue, and also two other creatures who were running off to hide. Assuming they were with the Malinois, Ilirhaeya wasn't too concerned with the other cat and the puppy. If they were dangerous, she'd investigate later, but for now, she was more intent on taking down the larger demon.

When the large dog lunged for the demon, Ilirhaeya quickly dislodged her claws and jumped to the side. She rolled for a moment, dizzy, before quickly getting back on her paws and jumping into the fray. When the creature had fallen, and the dog began to bite at it, the cat did her best at getting in her own blows. She'd slash at the creature's skin whenever it came close, and nip at it when it tried to injure the other dog. She couldn't do much, since she had thrown her sword down, but she was still intent on helping wherever she could. When the demon had managed to knock the female to the ground, she had jumped to attack it but was shoved back when it thrashed its head in her direction.

She had struggled to get up after that, but when she did, she saw that the Malinois was more than capable of fighting off the demon. Ilirhaeya watched in amazement as the dog fought off the mutant by herself, sending it tumbling to the ground before sinking her teeth into its neck and holding until the beast was finished. She was amazing! While she was excited, Ilirhaeya was too tired to be enthusiastic, and with a huff she slumped to the ground immediately. The beast was done, but she was still suspicious. She hoped its souls was back in the depths of...wherever it came from, and that it wasn't a Body Hopper waiting to take over their weak bodies. Ilirhaeya decided to move away from it for that very reason.

Hearing the question fall from the woman's lips, the young cat looked up at her curiously. Giving a proud grin, the young cat pushed herself to her paws immediately despite being sore. It was time to introduce herself. "I'm Ilirhaeya, the knight." She said, raising a paw to her puffed out chest as she smiled. "And who are you? You were amazing! You must be a knight yourself!" It was obvious what age Ilirhaeya was. She was still quite young, but not at all a kitten. Just a mere young adult.

Location: Standing in front of Daciana away from the infected dog's body.
Status: Groomed and obviously not infected. Generally looks clean but of course is dirtied by the life of the streets. Appears a being young, but not that young.

OOC: Do you think your doing well on your exams? I wish you luck on them! c:

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

The battle had been brutal, but the honors had gone to Daciana and the knight. The  grotesque noises, the blood, and the thrashing mutant, its neck broken, were all just horrifying memories now.
The street was quiet and peaceful, as if did not remember the battle, did not see the corpses.
A gust of wind slipped under the porch, stirring up dust and ruffling his fur. The hiding place was wide, though not tall, but was also covered in thick cobwebs, dust, and who knew what else. Both he and Reima beside him were probably coated in filth.
The thought made his stomach turn slightly. He was used to the dirt of the streets, but being practically mummified in cobwebs was something entirely different.
He crawled to the hole in the wood, the only entrance, and slithered through it, trusting Reima to follow. Who would want to stay in that grimy place alone?
The moment his paws touched the dead grass of the lawn, he dropped to the ground and began to roll vigorously, freeing most of the dust from his fur.
Rolling on the ground was terribly undignified, of course, but it was the price he would have to pay for cleanliness.
It wasn't as if anyone important was watching, after all. Daciana was focused on the white knight, and Felix felt she was entitled to mock him. She'd just saved his life.
The white knight had probably rolled around dozens of times before, marking his territory.
Another breeze swept over him, carrying the scent of the two victorious warriors to him. He froze.
Both smelled of blood, and a hint of salty sweat from their paw glands, but beneath Daciana's canine musk he could smell something sweeter, more sugary.
It was the smell of a female cat.
That word, 'female' stirred up delicate hints of emotions, like feathers stroking his insides.
She was a female. The only female she had seen in a very long time. A cat to parade in front of, to strut and yowl.
And yet she was also a warrior, a cat who could sink her claws into a mutants back and not be shaken off. Someone to be treated with respect and caution.
He slunk forward, his body long and tense, his tail a curving question mark.
As he slowly approached Daciana and the cat from the behind, the white knight's features grew more distinct.
The mass of silky white fur was strong, yet sinuous. She seemed even bigger up close, yet she didn't look elderly. Her fur was still fairly sleek, with no signs of grey, and she didn't seem slow. She probably belonged to a breed that was naturally large. If she was older than him, it was only by a month or two.
Now only a few feet from her, he heard the sound of her voice as she chattered to Daciana. Her words spilled all over themselves in her quick, energetic speech, and her voice was as high and loud as a child's.
The mysterious feelings all slipped away from him as he listened to her babble, replaced by annoyance. He suddenly felt as sour as a lemon, and he felt that it was all her fault.
Dropping all caution, he sauntered into her vision, his tail hanging limply, and his ears thrust forward.
"What are you doing here?" he hissed.

I'm not too good at it either. Luckily, most careers don't involve geography!  :D

Ilirhaeya had turned her head when she saw something out of the corner of her eye. It was someone who was with Malinois, or at least, she assumed they were with her. Her eyes lit up, noting that it was a cat, and she offered him a kind smile hoping he had heard her name. She was naturally friendly unless someone was rude to her, and when he did just that, her smile immediately fell from her face. What was his problem?! Her face was scrunched up in confusion for a moment before it immediately broke into a snarl, her pink nose wrinkling and her lips curling back. He had sauntered into her vision, so she thrust herself forward, getting into his face without caution as she gave a vicious hiss.

"Whats your problem?!" She said angrily, her voice losing its energetic tone and fading back into what it was before. "What am I doing here?!" She repeated, moving even closer, tail raised and lashing behind her. "I came here to help. I didn't see you doing anything to help her out!" Ilirhaeya said with a narrow of her eyes, wondering why he had suddenly lashed out at her. He was smaller than her, and he looked slightly younger than her, and already she was sizing him up. Maybe he was working with the demon! What if he wasn't with the Malinois?! Her eyes locked on him and she puffed out her fluffy chest, glaring at him. He had no right to be so rude to her. In an attempt to intimidate him, she rose to her full height, her hackles raised as well as the fur on her tail. "Who are you anyway?" Ilirhaeya questioned, narrowing her multi-colored eyes suspiciously.

Location: Standing in front of Felix, close to his face.
Status: Ilirhaeya is groomed and obviously not infected. She appears to be all fur, the soft and fluffy kind, the type that is thin enough to cause a sneeze if brushed too close to the nose. Generally, she looks clean, but of course she is dirtied by the life of the streets. Its obvious she grooms herself often, for her fur would be matted if it weren't for her constant grooming. She appears as being young, but not that young, just an adolescent.

OOC: Yay! I wish you luck on the rest of them. xD I'm pretty good at geography but I'm horrible at maths. ;-; Also, I hope to sneak this tiny post in here before you post Taylor, Its small enough that it isn't a full post, just a reply.

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix bristled and arched his back, hissing at the female as if her words had been made of scorching fire.
She had thrust herself upon his vision and puffed her dusty, bloodied fur out in an attempt to look frighting. Well, he could play that game too.
She had disappointed him in some strange, unknowable way. And then she had insulted him. It was almost too much to stand!
Through an angry haze of red, he tried to care about retorting with a scathing remark and not just swiping at her with his claws out. It was hard to care that she was twice as big as big him, or that he had never been one to pick a fight. He would have never even have thought of fighting a mutant, but he knew he wanted to fight her.
He glared into her eyes, her unmatched eyes, one the color of a dying sun, and the other of a soggy puddle. He let his mind cool a little, until he was sure he could speak coherently.
"I," he said, holding his head up as if the female didn't matter at all,"am Felix. I might have not been fighting alongside you, but that was because someone-," he gestured coldly at Reima,"had to be with her. I'm so sorry I didn't just start clawing the mutant's eyes out and leave her all alone on the sidewalk."
He gave her a tight little smile.
"Thank you anyway for your 'help', although I'm sure Daciana could have handled a few dozen mutants. Now you've helped out, and you know my name, (although I don't known yours and don't want to) you can just move on and go help someone else."
The harsh words made him feel powerful, and he relaxed slightly, raising his tail like a banner of victory.
A thought wormed through his smugness.
Why was he willing to turn away a cat from safety and a place to call its own?
Why am I acting so awfully?
   I don't know.

Ilirhaeya had copied the male's actions when he arched his back and bristled. She was bigger than him, and probably stronger than him, and she decided she'd have no problem taking him down if he tried to start a fight with her. He was acting so..rudely, for absolutely no reason! She hadn't done anything too him, and she was pretty sure she didn't know him. He had no reason to be so mean to her when she had just helped out his companion! If he wanted to rile her up, he was surely doing a good job at it by acting negatively towards her when she had done nothing wrong.

It was only when he had spouted those harsh words at her had her aggression faltered a bit. Her ears pinned back on her head not in an act of aggression, but an subconscious reaction to his words. All she had wanted to do was help, and as she processed his words, a strange emotion pooled into her stomach as she instinctively backed away from the male like his words had been a slap to the face. She was..hurt. It showed on her face for a moment before Ilirhaeya forced herself to harden, and with a hiss, she bared her teeth once again. From her mouth, she released a big rumbling snarl and hiss mixture.

She was going to make him eat those words. Part of her wanted to tear into him right that minute -- he certainly deserved it, for all the unfounded slander he was spewing in her face, but she was a sensible cat, unlike him, and didn't react based on her emotions. All she wanted to do was spout a few more choice words at him, but she didn't because she knew she needed to control her temper. "You are so..." She thought for a moment. "-rude!" She finished, her tail lashing behind her. "I just wanted to help someone out! I don't understand why your acting so awfully!" Ilirhaeya said, confusion falling over her face.

"I didn't do anything to you- and your just going to come over here and be rude to me for no reason! Why?" She didn't understand this...Felix. "But fine. I guess ill just go help someone else, since I see my work is done here." Hurt flickered onto her face for a moment as she began to back away.

Location: Has backed away from Felix, still backing away in a hurt/angry fashion.

OOC: Another tiny post reaction. She is confused, hurt, and angry. xD Why is Felix so angry?

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

As the female started backing away from him, Felix could see a flicker of hurt cross her face.
She quickly pulled herself together, becoming the aggressive warrior again, but her pained expression shocked him to his core.
A moment ago he would have happily taken a swipe at her. And she knew it.
And yet, somehow, in the midst of all that unexplainable anger,  he had hurt her without ever lifting a claw to her.
It was such a hollow victory.
All his anger drained away, replaced by a cold, watery feeling in his middle. A shameful feeling.
Flattening his ears against his head, and awkwardly hunching, he backed slowly away from her.
    He felt...sorry.
He wanted to say he was sorry.
But sorry didn't really mean anything. It was only a sound. It wouldn't fix anything.
    He would try anyway.
"You were very brave," he admitted to her, looking down at the asphalt of the street.
"I don't think a lot of cats would have jumped into that fight like you did. I don't think I would have. So I guess some mysterious white knight with no name is a much better cat than me."
Felix looked at her out of the corner of his eye, waiting for her response.

Poor Ilirhaeya! I'm starting to feel very ashamed of Felix. Maybe it would have been better for everyone if he had been neutered. :D

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

The large canines head craned as she looked down at the small, white cat, who had now spoke her response. Daciana didn't really say much, and stood in silence, saying the felines name 'Ilirhaeya' over several times in her had, picturing the name with her face. After, the lass gave a quick nod to her head as she looked the cat over quickly, before facing her once more. A smile seemed to form at the canines maw as she let out a chuckle, jerking her head back, not to mean anything though. "Nice to meet you, Ilirhaeya." she'd nod, before continuing "Well thank you, but I'm just an ordinary dog.... You may call me Daciana" she'd quickly add on after. Although she hadn't been one to befriend cats, and didn't even like them for that matter, the apocalypse seemed to have had a strange cast on the canine. She was now welcoming cats with open arms, when usually she wouldn't have hesitated on ripping one to shreds. Maybe it was because her and the pup were somewhat lonely, although she wouldn't admit it and she'd never let it show. But, maybe it was cause they'd be a perfect playmate or friend to Reima. She was only here to simply protect the pup, and any others whom decided to join their small and somewhat close knit 'pack' as they'd call it. However, there only seemed to be a build up in cats, Felix and possibly this Ilirhaeya if she decided she'd want to stick around. Maybe it'd take some of the weight off of Dacianas shoulders, but then again she didn't want to seem weak and in competition with a feline. Although, her presence didn't mind her.

Reima on the other hand noticed the battle had finished. The muffled growls and piercing yelps soon died down, the horrific battle now vanished from her brown pools. The frightening scenes were now over. And her mother came out victorious. The youngster wasn't bothered about the presence of a new cat, like how she was before, she wanted to make sure Daci was alright, then she'd move her attention on to the feline. Maybe this would be another friend. Feeling something brush against her side, the Catahoula would turn her attention on to the slightly smaller creature by her side. Raising a brow, the black marked canine would tilt her head, watching as the feline made his way from under the porch. Nodding her head quickly, the squeezed herself out of the gap, then quickly and viciously shaking her pelt. Sending dust and cobwebs flying off of her smooth coat. Quickly trotting forward, she'd stop at the felines side as he rolled, an amused expression seeming to form at the pups maw as she watched him do so. Once done, she followed the feline towards the small gathering area, her tail wagging and her face lit up as Daciana stood tall and proud. Quietly yipping, the pup would bound over as fast as she could, leaping up at her mother figure and licking her. "You're alright!" She'd bark, wrapping herself around the larger canines legs, before setting herself beside her, avoiding her bad leg, pressing her head against her with a contempt look expressed on her face.

A chuckle seemed to emit from the Malinois' maw as she looked down at the pup "I'm fine... Might have old bones but I manage..." she chuckled, gently nudging the pup, then running her tongue across the pups cheek, Dacis stern expression fell back over her face. Shuffling slightly, she'd avoid putting weight on her left paw, until it began to heal that is. Hopefully it was just a small sprain. Running her tongue across her maw, she'd collect the clots of blood, then spit them out to the side of her. The taste horrid, one which made her sick to the core. However, she managed to hold herself back. Before anything else was said, a sudden hiss caught the canines' attention. Raising a brow, the two would look at Felix, confusion striking the duo as they looked at one another, then back at the two cats. Letting out a grunt, Daciana would set herself on her haunches, Reima pushing herself in closer. If a fight was to break out between the two, it'd quickly be stopped. There was enough of that for one day.

Listening carefully, the two canines watched in confusion as the two felines seemed to bicker between one another, comments being thrown to and fro, some hurtful, and some out of line. Although, they were unsure if the two felines knew one another, this being one of the main reasons they were reluctant to interrupt the small argument. Feeling something tap at her leg, Daciana looked down, there sat the pup looking at her. "What are they arguing for?..." Reina would whisper, gesturing towards the two felines with a shrug. Chuckling at the pups expression, and the fact she whispered, Dacia shrugged "I couldn't tell you.." she chuckled, then looked back at them both. As things progressed, things seemed to get a little out of hand, the white feline seeming to be offended and hurt, Felix clearly showing guilt as he spoke up. Sighing "Ilirhaeya done a good job, she helped me. Felix, thank you for keeping Reima safe. I appreciate it" she'd speak up before continuing "Do you two thing arguing is the best way? There's bigger things to worry about, with those ugly things running around... Maybe you two can learn to get along?" she'd question, tilting her head. Her voice back to its rasped and strict tone. Reima seeming to stand up with Daci and nod her head in agreement.

Ilirhaeya had begun to walk away when the male cat suddenly decided to address her. She had paused in her walk, with one paw raised in the air, and had turned her head to send him a cold look that showed all her previous anger. He seemed...apologetic? Ilirhaeya's frown deepened, and she turned around with an angry but confused look in her eyes. Why was he so confusing? One second he was yelling at her for no reason, and now he was apologizing? Ilirhaeya didn't know how to feel, or what to do, so she merely stared at him for a moment before giving a sigh. "Ilirhaeya." She decided to give her name, so he wouldn't have to keep calling her an 'unknown cat'.

While she still hadn't forgiven him for his words, she begrudgingly put her feelings aside when the dog had addressed them. She had almost forgotten about the Malinois in the midst of their argument, but now that she had focused her attention back on her, she realized she had...a pup? Ilirhaeya tilted her head in curiosity, before sending the pup a friendly smile and a wave of her dainty paw. Was this their whole group? A strong female leader, a...bi-polar male babysitter, and a cute puppy? The young female almost laughed at the idea. Maybe...maybe she could join their group? For a moment, she was hopeful, but she quickly pushed those thoughts away. She didn't want to get her hopes up...

Now that they were...semi-okay,  Ilirhaeya wondered what they were going to do now. There were more on the way, she could tell, which meant they'd have to run, or find somewhere safe to hide out until they were gone. Ilirhaeya would have no problem finding somewhere on her own, but she was curious on what the group would do. Plus...she didn't want to leave them just yet. They might need help...somewhere down the line. Her staying was justified. "Well, what do we do now?" She asked curiously, ears perking at the sound of a faint growling in the distance. They needed to get a move on. "We should move."

Location: Near most of the group.

Felix thought Daciana was probably right. It didn't look like shouting at each other in the middle of the street had done them a lot of good.
He had waited to see if the cat felt the same way, and right in the middle of walking away, she had stopped.
And she had told him her name. Ilirhaeya.
An odd name, but he wasn't going to say that. He recognized a truce when he saw it.
It looked like apologies were worth more than he thought.
When Ilirhaeya spoke again, though, it was to Daciana, not him.
She was right. The light growling in the distance was a sign that some kind of action was needed.
"Where are we going, though?"Felix piped up. As the growls became slightly louder, he padded over to Daciana, plopping himself down on the asphalt a foot or two away from her. He made sure to stretch out nonchalantly.

    I don't think anyone blames you. : )
Also, I have to apologize about how weird looking this post is. My phone threw a tantrum.

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Seeing as the situation between the two felines had calmed down, a sudden distant noise caught the Malinois' attention. Flattening her ears slightly, the larger creature turned her head, chocolate eyes waving over the area behind her. Although they couldn't see the beasts, they could by far hear them. Curling her lips back, the tan pelted canine allowed a low growl to emit from her maw, before turning her attention back on to the cats, and Reima. At the felines question, the canine just simply nodded her head, staying silent for a few seconds. Kicking out her hind legs, Daci pulled herself up on to all fours, her large frame towering over her three 'companions' small ones. Casting a quick glance at the two mutants body, she'd look down at the three. "Luckily we already have a safe place, it shouldn't take too long to get their either..." she'd speak, taking a quick glance behind her. The noise from the recent fight more than likely caused a stir between animals, and the mutants. The shrieks and yowls probably attracting them, as well as the scent of her blood. Something she'd need to disguise if she was to get them home safely. Meanwhile, Reima had already hurled herself to her paws, and took a few quick paces towards the street they had previously been heading, to go home. Stopping, the black patched pup would spin in a quick circle and plop herself down "I know the way..." she quietly called.

Running her tongue over her inured paw, the ex military dog would gently nod her head in agreement, once coming up with a plan. Thanks to Reimas small statement. "Alright, you two follow closely behind her, stay quiet and don't attract too much attention. I'll be following behind, I'll brush against the mutant so I get its scent, that way those lumps or lard won't follow us. Also, I'll be heading in and out of streets, sending them slightly off course." no expression was put in to her voice, and her tone was somewhat stern as she gestured for the two felines to follow the small pup whom had now set off as a slow run down the street, waiting for the rest to follow her. Deep growls soon echoed up the street, causing Daciana to lunge at the corpse in a limped run. Pressing herself against the beasts corpse, she'd begin pressing herself against it, getting its scent on to her fur, as well as some of the creatures blood, which would help her plan further. Pulling herself back from the creature, she'd turn once more, a large shadow reflecting on to one of the buildings wall "Hurry!" she'd growl. Before pushing herself around and moving as quickly and as carefully as she could, now and then rubbing against an object to give it the scent. Reima, now running at full speed lunged down the long, stone road, then turned down a small street. The fenced in house coming in to view.

Ilirhaeya looked around cautiously as the sounds of the approaching beasts grew louder. She had her eyes locked on Daciana for an answer, and when she had nodded, Ilirhaeya began to walk about hurriedly, searching for a place..any place that would be safe for them all to go. She hadn't known that Daciana & Reima had a place already set up, and so when she was told of that, she gave a breath of relief. No houses in this street seemed safe. All broken windows and knocked down doors, no protection of the outside world whatsoever. The cat was tired of hiding out in creaky houses anyway. She just hoped that wherever the group went was safe and sturdy...and hopefully quiet.

As the plan was told to them, Ilirhaeya couldn't help but frown at the one aspect of it. Daciana would be alone in leading the beasts off, though she supposed it was a more logical plan of them going all together. The Malinois looked formidable, already seemed to hold her own in a fight, but she would most likely still be injured from the fight she was just in, and that could slow her down. However, Ilirhaeya didn't have much time to worry about this, for she was already noticing that Reima was leaving. She took two hesitant steps after her, before turning to look at Daciana worriedly. "Good luck. Don't get caught!" And she took after the puppy quickly.

Location: Running after Reima.
Status: Ilirhaeya is groomed and obviously not infected. She appears to be all fur, the soft and fluffy kind, the type that is thin enough to cause a sneeze if brushed too close to the nose. Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix lingered in the street, even after Daciana had turned a corner and vanished from his sight.
For a moment there had been a group, a kind of pack. Now a blood soaked Daciana was racing down empty alleys and abandoned avenues to confuse a horde of mutants, and wide eyed Reima was supposed to lead them to a magical safehouse.
It was such a simple plan, and yet so many things could go wrong.
Reima could take a wrong turn. The mutants could smell them out. Daciana could be too slow. Wasn't she injured? He thought her running had been slightly lopsided, as if she was limping. As if her leg pained her.
He could die. They could all die.
It was definitely a possibility if he kept on standing in the street.
He didn't like the plan. He didn't trust plan.
But Daciana was a leader. He had known her for only an hour or two, but she had spent the majority of that time growling out raspy orders. That and saving his life.
He didn't think it was good to be too trusting, but being wary of the animal that saved your life would probably count as paranoia.
It didn't look like his survival would depend on himself anymore. He had joined the 'pack'. He had said yes, I will live with you. Maybe it meant something else too. Maybe he had been saying that yes, I will follow your rules, yes, I will care about you, not just me.
What he did impacted other animal's lives now.
Felix turned around and sprinted down the street, his front legs stretched out before him, his back legs folded against his body, and his spine only a thin curve ending at another curve of a tail.
He had no time to lose.
Illirhaeya and Reima were waiting for him.
As he caught up to them, he felt a need to explain why he had endangered their lives.
"I didn't know if this plan-"Felix gasped, struggling for breath,"-was a good plan. After some deep consideration, I decided it was-"he huffed"-good. So it looks like I'm going to be held to it, and I agree. Because I trust Dacia-and-and we're probably not going to die."
The house, nestled in barbed wire, wasn't too far ahead. They were going to live. Probably.
    If nothing went wrong...

Andddddd they're off! Reima is in the lead, but Illihaeya's going head to head! Felix falters at the start, but he's quickly catching up to the other racers. Who will win this years Apocalyptic Derby?! Find out how much money you lost after the sweaty animals run some more!
I apologize to anyone who likes horse racing. ;D

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Turning to glance behind her, the pup watched the larger, older canine vanish in to one of the near by alleys, at a loped run. Although she had her doubts that her 'mother' may get injured further. She trusted her plan, and she had a feeling Daciana would be safe. Snapping her attention on to the two felines at her rear, a smile appeared on the pups face as she nodded her head. Turning her head back towards the direction she was running, the pup lunged forward, wagging her tail in the sudden rush, her eyes lighting up as the barbed fence came in to view, followed by the stone house. Safety was almost in paws reach, they'd soon be safe. A buzz seemed to run through the pup, she had always been clumsy, and often done things wrong, or too excitedly. However, she seemed to have done the right thing now. Eventually she was able to prove she was of use, even if it was just something small. But there was still a short run to go, but at their pace, they'd reach it within a matter of seconds. The growls had now faded, and the path behind them was a large one. "Here we are..." she yipped quietly, managing to follow hers and Dacis faded scent back to the house. Quickly rushing forward, the pup grasped the plank of wood between her teeth, growling quietly as she dragged it back, pulling with all her might. Until the slab pulled over. Rolling backwards, she quickly regained her footing and stood upright, leaping towards the hole, she pushed herself through with ease. Daci had dug it just enough for her to fit in, so those mutants would have a hard job fitting through.

Standing on the other side if the fence, Reima looked out at the two cats with her head tilted "Come on, we'll be safe in here. Me and Daci have lived out in here quite some time. I like it.." she grinned, turning and quickly darting up the flight of narrow, steep stairs which lead up to the small hole they'd come in and out of. The youngster would gesture towards the house, allowing them to go inside if they wished. Meanwhile, Reima sat with her small head placed through the gap in the small fence with acted as a balcony, casting her gave over the street, awaiting Dacianas return.

Meanwhile, the large female continued to lope down the street, now and then casting a glance behind her. The small trio were now gone out of sight, and Daciana felt worried. More for Reima, seeing as they'd been together longer, and a bond had been formed between the two. However, she also felt for the felines. Although she hadn't been with them long, she felt it was her job to protect them too. As much as she has hated cats in the past, these ones seem to have grown on her. And she wasn't to make sure all the living citizens of Queton City are safe. She refuses to let the city be over run by those beasts. Focusing back on her task, the female would continue to make her way down the street, the growls seemed to have died down, but the plan was of course working. She could hear the beasts grunting behind her, and what seemed to be a call to gather, as she turned, she'd see their shadows cast on the walls as she charged swiftly around the corners. She'd not be able to keep this up for long though, and soon she'd need to head back. As soon as possible at that. Brushing herself up against a dumpster, then up against a wall. She took a sharp turn down several alleys. Now and then taking the chances she had to run through the odd ground floor of the building. Soon enough, she was back at the scene where everything happened. The creatures barely behind her now, and the trail would have lost them. Letting out a grunt, the injured canine headed down the same route Reima had taken the others. Soon enough the house coming in to view.

Smiling in relief, the lass limped towards the house, at a slightly faster pace. Now and then wincing with the pain which ran up her leg. However, Daci was soon stopped in her tracks. A small, tatted creature emerged from a near by alley. The creature hissed and lashed out its tail, arching its back as it took a few, short leaps forward. Great, it was another mutant. This one a lot smaller, and in the form of a cat. It wasn't these that bothered her though, they were easy enough the fight off, especially this one seeing as it was a lot smaller. Managing to only receive one strike from the cat, Dacia would lunge forward, grasping the cat in her jaws and slamming it on to the ground. Hopping her good leg up on to the felines side, causing it to quietly shriek, then gasp for air, she'd arch her head, grasp the felines neck in her jaws and with one quick twisted jerk, a sickening crack echoed. Picking up the corpse, she'd throw it in to a near by wall, spitting out the tagged hair which had collected in her maw. Plopping in to a near by puddle, the Malinois lowered herself down, rolling several times to rid her pelt of the putrid, thick tar like blood of the mutant. Once soaked, she'd pull herself out and shake off her pelt. Looking towards the building, she first noticed Reima as she leaped up and made her way quickly down the steep stairs. Smiling, the tan hued canid would slowly make her way towards the fence, then pulling herself down the hole, she'd pop back through to pull the slab over. Blocking their way in.

The tight squeeze has caused Dacia to wince and whine slightly as pressure had been added to her paw. However, she pushed it aside, rubbing her head against the pup as she hopped over, rubbing herself against the female. "Is everyone alright?" she'd question, panting heavily as she carefully made her way up the pair of steep stairs, her tail swaying behind her. She could now relax. She was back home and safe, and the others appeared to be alright.

OOC: Or it could have been referred to dog racing, idk xD

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Relieved to be alive, Felix began to groom. It was his way of calming down his frantically beating heart.
As he licked his paws with a sandpaper tongue, Daciana staggered into the room. She smelt of blood.
He abandoned his grooming and cocked his ears, waiting for Daciana to answer Ilirhaeya's worried question. Was Daciana alright?
As he stared at her shocking gruesome wounds, he noticed Reima curled up next to her.
With a start, he wondered if Reima was alright. He hadn't given a thought to her.
    It made him feel guilty.
From the moment he'd met the two dogs, he had focused entirely on tough, authoritative Daciana, and completely ignored little Reima. At his best, he'd spared her a fond thought, at his worst, he'd used her as a pawn in his fight with Ilirhaeya (which he still couldn't think about without wincing).
Maybe it was time he payed a bit more attention to Reima.
Felix strolled over to the puppy, and gave her a slightly self conscious smile.
"How are you feeling, Reima?" he asked her softly .

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Allowing the others to head inside, Daciana would look at the pup, nudging her gently to encourage her in. Not that she had covered the entrance up, none of those beasts could get in. Unless the dumb witted, mutated felines mastered how to get over the barbed fence, but they'd easily be killed off. Giving her head a quick shake, she'd take her attention off of the fence  and roads ahead, and look towards the small gap Reima has just crawled through to get inside. Emitting a gentle sigh, she'd nod her head gently, before arching up her injured paw and crouching down, slightly forcing her way through the small gap. Wincing slightly as the tight gap added pressure to her wounded legs, and the wounds which filled her pelt. However it was short lived as relief soon struck her as she pulled her way through. Entering the house, she'd take a hasy look around. But everything seemed normal as of now. Letting out a huff, she'd fall to her haunches, looking over her tatted and now wet fur from rolling in the puddle to rid herself of the mutants blood. But the stench still lingered. Licking at her side, she'd gently run her tongue over the wounds to clean them, the last thing she wanted was a large amount of the mutants blood to enter her blood stream, even though she was immune to the virus. Soon, she'd clean at her paw, although it was only a few cuts and scratches, and few puncture wounds, it still hurt slightly.

A sudden soft voice near by caused her to raise her head, there stood the small white cam whom had helped her in her recent battle. Usually she wouldn't be so welcoming, but this was the cat which had helped her, and she had also saved Felix. Watching her slowly approach, Daci would simply nod her head, her tail brushing at the wooden flooring below her. "Aye, I'm alright lass. Nothing these old bones can't handle." she'd smile, attempting to place her paw on the ground, only to wince and lift is slightly once more. Adjusting her right paw so that she was able to hold herself up, she'd cast a quick glance out of the near by window. Night would be approaching soon, and everything would turn black. Sighing, she'd look back at the odd-eyed feline which sat in front of her "Are you ok? Did you guys manage to get here safely?" she'd question, looking at Reima before back at the feline, tilting her head ever so slightly. Awaiting the she cats response.

Meanwhile, Reima had been sat happily glancing around the room. She was happy that Daciana was now back safely, and there was now nothing for her to worry about. Questions had continued to play on the pups mind though, she wasn't sure on what those mutants actually were. She was just told they were dangerous. And by this recent experience, she'd never, ever go near them. The sheer look and thought of them seemed to freak her out. Also, she'd been questioning the stay of the felines. Would they be staying? Joining their small pack? Sure it wasn't much, but it was something. This was where she felt welcome and where she felt safe. Not only had Daciana put a room over her head, she'd managed to provide food daily. Even if it meant she went without. Would the two want to stay? Or would they be too embarrassed to be seen with canines? She didn't know, but she hoped they did. Felix was soon as a 'play mate' to her, seeing as her and him were both the youngest. And Daciana and Ilirhaeya were now seen as protectors. Of course, Reima was soon to be one. Soon to be fully grown. Maybe then she'd put her softer side aside and help Daciana with those beasts. Yes, that is what she'd do. She'd help Daciana.

A sudden voice pulled the pup out of her thoughts, her vision blurred for a moment before she turned her attention on to the small, green(?) eyed feline which stood near by, questioning her. Tilting her head, Reima would send him a quick smile, before shuffling across the floor to get slightly nearer the cat, her tail lightly thumping at the ground, letting out quiet thuds. At his question, she quickly nodded her head with a smile "I'm fine, I was scared, we could have died. We are home, Daciana is home. Everyone is safe... I'm fine!" she smiled, her tone rather upbeat and her speech rushed. Allowing her ears to stand erect, she'd quickly cast her gave over to her mother and Ilirhaeya, before looking back at the young male in front of her. "Are you ok, F-Felix?" she'd question, stuttering a little before spitting out her words. Her head now being tilted even more, her eyes widened and her tail continuing to wag as she awaited his reply.

Yes, you may join as one of the mutants. However, it'd also be preferred that you have a un-mutated character too. It is up to you though.

Tanya

Tanya padded around the empty city, her oddly spotted fur matted and dirty. Grime smeared her pelt, staining it brown. "Isn't there anyone else here..?" She said, snarling. She laid her ears back and continued forward. She arrived at a sewer drain. Defending into the subterranean tunnels, Tanya arrived at her small camp. A stolen mattress laid near the wall, various animal pelts strung across it. Carved bones were scattered across the floor of the tunnel, some carved and specially made to fit her body. A pair of metal claws were laid on a box next to a lantern. The flame flickered in Tanya's green-yellow eyes, casting light against her face. Tanya leapt up onto the worn mattress and curled up, resting her eyes.

Ratchet

Ratchet roamed the streets, his muscles rippling under his skin. Stringy veins crisscrossed all around his body, giving him a slight blue hue from afar. He lowered his muzzle to the ground, sniffing in an attempt to pick up any scents. Rat's legs ached from fighting his instinct to attack anything and everything. Unlike the other Infected, he wasn't a mindless killer. He atleast made attempts to stay calm and sane. His bare tail wagged back and fourth as he caught the scent of another dog. It was stake and from a couple of days ago, but it was still a dog. 'Hopefully alive.' He thought to himself. By the scent of it, the dog was probably a Belgian Mailanos. He huffed before padding onwards, head hung low. He spotted a bearby bush and quickly dashed into it to hide himself. He sat there, crouching, hopefully hidden.

Ilirhaeya beamed up at the Malinois when she replied the way she did. Glad she was okay, Ilirhaeya allowed herself to relax mentally as she turned to look at the two other members of the Malinois' group. While she had been prepared to ask them if they were okay as well, it seemed they were already in the process of asking each other. Turning her head back to Daciana when she spoke to her, she gave a small breath as she forced herself to visibly relax some more. "Yeah, we got here safely. We didn't run into anything." She answered, before continuing. "I'm fine." She finished, closing her eyes as she let out a huff. They were safe. Everyone was safe. It was nice feeling that had the cat in a good mood.

"You have a nice place." She commented, after reopening her eyes and looking around. It was truly a nice house, and Ilirhaeya wondered what they had to do to find a house so protected. She was used to sleeping in whatever high place she could find, damp or dry. It didn't matter, survival was what mattered. Living on the streets for the majority of her life had hardened the girl into quite the tough cat, and luxuries such as this were rare and she had problems trusting them. Things could go wrong any minute, but this time, Ilirhaeya forced her worries to back of her head. Noticing that Daciana was still standing, she couldn't help but tilt her head and frown.

"Don't you wanna..rest?" She asked curiously, raising a small paw to point at her injured one.

Location: Infront of Daciana in the fortified house.

OOC: VERY sorry for the late post. I'm a bad person. ;-;

Felix

"Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you."

Felix started a little at Reima's question. Was he okay?
He was, right? He was almost sure he  was fine. Just to be sure, Felix arched his back, feeling his muscles tense and the frantic heartbeart slow.
    Nothing hurt.
He flashed Reima a sudden grin. "Looks like I'm still as handsome as ever."
As he waited to see her anxious face break into a little smile, Ilirhaeya asked Daciana another question.
It wasn't anymore lighthearted than the last one. Daciana was alpha. Whatever she did affected their little group. If she had to rest, they'd all stop moving, and stay shut up behind the walls of the safe house.
Safety, he felt, was a unusual feeling. When he'd been running and hiding from those bloated corpses he had yearned for it, for thick walls and the safety of numbers.
And now he had them! He was dizzy with his good fortune.
But...there was a tiny part of him that wasn't happy. He might have abandoned his dreams of the colony, but the streets still held a certain allure.
He needed something to do, something to hope for, and the streets were all that he knew.
I need to keep moving, he realized. I can't just stay still./i]
"If you want to lie down a little," Felix spoke up to Daciana,"I can help around. Someone needs to hunt and scout. I'm capable of doing both."
He glanced at Ilirhaeya. "You can join me...if you want," he mumbled, trailing off. It was his awkward little peace offering. "Or you can be the babysitter this time."

I am so so sorry to all of you for the long time gap between this post and my last one. Some family vacation plan that was arranged a while ago still managed to surprise me, and I had no time to post.
I'll be travelling in Romania for about eight weeks, so I won't always have internet access, but I'll try my hardest to post at least once a week.
I eagerly await new posts. What with the new characters, things look like they might get interesting!

As Felix suggested doing tasks for their little group, Ilirhaeya immediately turned her attention towards him. She was an adventurous spirit at heart, and she had trouble staying in one area for a long time. Even if she wasn't quite sure if she was apart of their group or not, she wouldn't miss the chance to help them out when one of them was injured and the other was a puppy. His peace offering was gladly accepted, and she showed it as a small, dainty smile appeared on her muzzle. She couldn't hold a grudge forever....it would be pointless, especially when he seemed to...regret his little angry outburst.

"Ill join you." She said with a friendly swish of her tail and a nod of her head, hoping he'd allow her on his trip. She wouldn't be the best babysitter, and she was sure Daciana could watch Reima just fine. Plus- it'd give the Malinois a chance to rest, and her and her pup would both get food later. It was a good proposition. Moving closer to Felix, she stretched out her limbs and shook her fur to get ready for the 'adventure' ahead of them. Hopefully they'd be able to bring back some good food. "I'm ready to go when you are." She said with a breath, glancing at the others.

Ratchet and Tanya

Ratchet crept out of hiding and turned his attention towards an opening to the sewers that ran below the city. He looked up at the darkening sky, realizing he needed to find shelter... Fast. He bounded towards the opening and padded into the tunnel, unaware of whatever lived inside. Ratchet walked along the tunnel, his claws clicking on the ground. His large build cast elongated shadows against the wall due to an opening above him. He leapt his nose low to the ground, nostrils flaring as the scent of a feline wafted into his nose. He lifted his head as he came into an opening, spotting a black and white spotted shape laying ontop of a mattress. He passes over and nudged the shape gently with his paw, examining it closely. The cat, Tanya, awoke immediately and threw herself at Rat, digging her claws into his face. He yelped and slunk away into a corner, shaking.
Tanya cocked her head at him, padding closer. Ratchet had no idea this was her territory, and surprisingly had no intention on fighting her. She narrowed her eyes, giving Rat a cold hard stare. "Who are you and why are you here, beast." she said, spitting at the last part. He struggled to find words, stammering aimlessly. "I-I... Uh... You see... I was.. Looking f-for a place to hide, but.... Byron not sure you would know anything about that.. Not saying your dumb or anything, just-" he was cut off as Tanya clawed his muzzle. "Shut up, mangy dog." she narrowed her eyes once more. "Leave or be killed."
"I know the law." Rat said in an attempted argument. "Then obey it." Tanya's tail lashed as she snarled, baring her surprisingly white teeth. "Please... Listen to me just this once.. I'm begging you.." Ratchet said, his voice low. He tucked his tail underneath him. "I don't want to fight. I want to stay humane and try to fight the disease. Just please, let me tag along." he said, cowering. "Ha! Let you...? Of all things... Tag along with... me..?" Tanya's muzzle curled into a mocking smile. "And to think a mutt like you would be so cowardly as to bow before me. Ha!"
Ratchet bowed his head. "This is unlike me, I know, but there are others out there hunting me. Just please, for now atleast?" Tanya eyed Rat, her smile dropping. "Just this once. Any funny business and I will add your pelt to my hide collection." She lifted a paw and pointed to a pile of deer skins in the corner. "That, is your sleeping spot. That," she said gesturing to the mattress, "is my sleeping spot. Understand?" He nodded, understanding every word. "Yes." "Good. Learn that that will be where you sleep until I say, and that you will be the carrier." Tanya said loudly. "You will carry our things when we abandon camp, which it is nearly time to do."

I updated my character info slightly.))

Daciana & Reima

"So whenever you feel alone, just remember that those stars will always be there to guide you. And so will I."

Letting out another huff, the ex military canine would allow her tail to dust at the wooden floor beneath her, a small cloud of dust forming. Until it quickly vanished in to the air. Arching her head up, the canine would rest on her stomach, glancing out of the window to her left. As per usual, everything returned to being silent, and the skies turned back to their usual grey colouring. The atmosphere now seeming dull and rather sinister. Nothing new for these times though. It was usual for this place. Everything about it was somewhat sinister and frightening. Letting out a low grunt, the large canine would turn her attention off of the skies above and glance back at the weird eyed cat, nodding her head "Yeah, took a painful beating for this place..." she'd mutter before letting out a huff. She remembered that day like it was yesterday. She'd wondered upon this place in recent days of the virus, only to be brutally beaten by a somewhat savage human, obviously infected. Then to be mauled by several other infecteds. Not to mention being shot at. The beatings added to her scent loss, as well as what had happened in the army. Now, it triggers when it wants. Her rasped voice seemed to fade as she craned her head and ran her tongue over her injured paw. From day one she knew she was immune, that attack proving she was right, and the amount of battles she has had, she's lucky the virus doesn't effect her. At the felines next question, she shrugged slightly, then nodded her head. "Aye, believe I do. " she huffed, placing her head on her paws, before continuing to look around the room.

Reima on the other hand continued to glance at Felix, her paw raised, her head tilted and her brows raised as she listened to what the tom had to say. Letting out a grunt, the pup would simply shake her head and push her tongue out of her maw. "Eww .... Whatever you think.." she'd grin, letting out a quiet yip. As the tom soon moved away and headed towards Daciana, she'd shrug and leap up, taking quick paced steps towards the window. Stopping at the large box Daci had pushed over so she was able to see, Reima reared on her hind legs and pulled herself up using her front, hind legs scratching at the box until she was on top. Once up, she sat atop the hard surface and glanced out the window, her paws now set upon the wooden frame as she looked at the empty streets below. Despite everything always seeming boring to the young pup, she knew why it was like this. Daciana had explained everything to her in detail, and if she was honest she didn't like it. She'd catch the next ship out of the city. But she knew her mother wouldn't. And therefore she wouldn't either. Daciana had been here for her over the many months they'd been here, and she'd refuse to leave her side. Placing her head on her paws, Reima let out a huff. Beings a pup meant she wasn't allowed to go out by herself, however within the next few days she'd be fully grown. Then she'd be able to help out a lot more.

Meanwhile Daci had watched the young pup take herself to the window and glance out, her ears flattening a little as a warming smile formed at her lips. At the sudden question from the two cats, she'd look at her paw, at Reima then back at them. Letting out a huff the large canine would simply nod her head "Yes, if you don't mind that is .... Make sure you two stay safe though" her ears flattening a little before turning her attention to Reima as she bounded over. "Were they going?" she'd ask tilting her head, settling down near the slightly larger canine. "To scout and hunt" she'd mutter in her usual rasped tone, nudging the younger canine gently before flopping on to her side. Watching the two felines slowly leave, she'd nod her head. Shuffling down on to her stomach, she'd rest near Daci, as if she was guarding the wounded dog.

So sorry about not posting! I've had exams all week, so its been rather hectic with revision and such. However, I'm finished school for good now!

@Empress-Katniss - Thank you, if you ever wish to join I'd be more than happy to accept you. :)

[@DelightfulRevenge ~ I'm not too sure how long ago it was since you last posted, however I'll update you on what I think has only happened so far; on one of their walks, Daciana and Reima came across a small cat, after a small incident. The tom went by the name of Felix. Not too long after they were approached by mutants, despite instruction on them running, Felix went towards them. To protect them Daci fought them whilst Felix his Reima with him. Once defeating one of the beasts, and almost doing so with her last, she was soon injured. Ilirhaeya soon came to help the situation, another feline. After this, Reima, Felix and Ilirhaeya set off home - Reima leading the way. Daciana lead oncoming beasts off of their trail. Soon enough Daciana returned home and they're now safe within Dacis shelter. Felix and Ilirhaeya are planning on going on a scout and possibly a hunt. Ratchet and Tanya are Ashyaks characters, and I believe they've recently met. Ratchet is a mutant, who I assume now follows orders off of Tanya.
That is all so far, from what I can remember that is.

@Ashyak ~ Just waiting on the others to post, sadly it's taking longer than expected. You may go ahead and post though. I can post for my other character, the male from the recording.]

Boga

It seemed safe, or at least he thought it did. The young male crawled out and looked out in the large opening, noticing a few things were missing. He didn't see no mutant or zombies crawling behind him. Just a plain road. "I thinks I should move on now...probably meet any other dogs before I'm left behind" He said to himself as he'd figured out which direction to go first. He thought, and went left and began his journey.

The young male made a few stops to get a sip of water, but other than that he kept walking. Hopefully he hoped to find something before dark comes. Then again, he did remembered a few barking and loud screeches, but he didn't pay no mind. In the middle of the day, he was exhausted and beginning to get hungry. The only meal he last was dinner, which was yesterday - when his partner was alive- "No, don't think of the masters." He told himself confidentiality, and encouraged him to continue walking. Until suddenly, he picked up a unfamiliar scent and followed it. He turned to the corner and saw two dogs, well, one did look kinda grossing but he wasn't quite what it was doing. "I must make my runaway" And quickly dashed out of sight and back to same draining walk.

It getting late, and Boga was extremely tired. He can only think about finding a nice shelter with a nice meal, to full his empty tummy. A dog shouldn't be starved or die out from hungrier. Boga  didn't believe in that. As soon hope was about to lost, Boga lifted his head sharply and smelled a scent. It smelled pretty normal and he was dying to get out from this hell hole. Running to the house where smell of scents stopped, he whimped. "Hello? Is anyone in there?" He then uses his two Paws and tried to open the wooden door.

(If anyone's is confused why I'm talking like this, it's because I saw Home and just thought the way they speak,is cute )

Felix

Just because I need you doesn't mean I trust you.

Felix glanced back at Ilirhaeya."Well, I'm ready right now."
He padded off toward the open door, then turned around, letting his gaze linger on the two canines.
"We'll be right back," he promised. Probably.
With a flick of his tail he turned away from them, and slipped past the door, leaping from creaking stair to stair.
Another door, and he felt feathery blades of grass brushing against his coat, breezes rustling his fur. After spending so much time cooped up, he felt like rolling on the ground like a kitten.
Of course, he wouldn't. Not with anybody watching. Especially Ilirhaeya.
She seemed nice enough, but she was even more of a stranger to him than Daciana and Reima, and he still hadn't forgotten their...awkward meeting.
Until he knew her better, knew how she worked, like he did with Daciana and Reima, he couldn't really relax around her. Calm, polite, aloof; that was the Felix she'd get to see.
Seeing! He was supposed to scout the area. How could he have forgotten?
He was Felix. And he liked being perfect.
But it was hard to be flawless with so many other animals around to care about his mistakes.
Felix raised his muzzle into the air, sniffing at the breeze just as it changed direction and headed downwind to him.
Where before there had been only the sweet smell of grass, now there was dust and dirt and the filth of an abandoned city.
It was disgusting. But maybe it could be good too.
"Some of the alleys around here are full of garbage," he shouted behind him to Ilirhaeya. "And where there's garbage there's rats. We could hunt together, but that might scare them off. Splitting up could be dangerous though."

Sorry for this late post. I finally managed to get an Internet connection, though I'm not sure how long it'll last.

Hobson

"From every wound there is a scar, and every scar tells a story. A story that says I survived."

The large male had been resting in an abandoned, battered building nearer to the outskirts of the city. So far everything seemed quiet, his earlier patrol leaving nothing else for him to do. For days now the Mastiff mix had been watching over members of the city, all not knowing him or that he was there, but he head overheard their name and conversations. Hobson had been known as the 'Protector' and some would call him 'Ghost' few were to witness his presence, and even fewer have managed to have a conversation with him. He isn't one to stop and chat, nor one that will be willing to join a group - he is a lone wolf, there to protect those whom have been left behind. Although, despite his ignorant appearing attitude, he'd be more than happy to answer questions if one wasn't too afraid to approach him and actually ask him a meaningful question. For now though, he'd remain in the shadows, watching over each member of the city. Hobson never really remained in one place, unless he was having a quick nap, he was actually always on the move. Everyone feared the beasts, but the beasts seemed to fear him. Sheer muscle he was made up of and an attitude to kill; a true protector to Queton City and its remaining inhabitants.

Many minutes had passed and a sudden raucous caught the canines attention; echoing barks, growls, gargles and yelps echoed through the streets and caught the large males attention. Duty called once more. Although a fight or attack didn't break out every second, he'd often go out and kill the beasts for fun, hoping to put them down in numbers. But the city seemed full of them, lands far and wide even inhabited these creatures, Queton being the main one because of its high pet population. An easy meal for these mutants. Hob didn't have time to think though, the fight had already progressed far enough, the last thing he wanted was any un-infected creatures being killed. Letting out a deep, low growl the large, dark pelted Mastiff hurled himself up off of his stomach and on to his paws, giving his pelt a quick shake he'd set off. Remaining inside the buildings, he'd enter each by small gaps, doors and windows which would allow him to be unseen. Just how he liked it. Broad paws thudded at the ground as the rhino like hound hurried onward, his stumped tail pointed out and his ears flattened, heavy chains bouncing on the canines neck, before coming to a sudden stop. Remaining in the shadows Hobson watched, a small group seemed to have found themselves in a situation with the mutants. But it seemed alright. A malinois and one of the mutants, as well as a pup, and two felines, one of the mutants already appeared dead. Quite interesting he'd think to himself before slinking off in to the shadows. Hearing out their plan, he'd nod his head; before all set off.

Leaving the pup and the two felines be, seeing as their run back was short, Hobson had set off after the injured canine which seemed to have two mutants hot on her tail. Grunting, the large male leapt out of the building and charged across the street, darting in to a near by alley he'd listen and smell carefully, managing to follow the female closely, his huge frame just managing to fit through small gaps he'd need to force himself through. Noticing the female had been leading the creatures in a circle, he allowed a low growl to emit from his maw. Slowing down his pace, he'd leap out of one of the alley entrances, barrelling in to one of the mutants. Pinning the beast down Hob would use all his weight to hold the smaller of the creatures down, wincing at a few nips he'd receive before landing a painful bite to the creatures neck, violently thrashing to and fro before the body remained still. One down, another to do. Turning, the beast would hurry out of the alley, heading back to the main street he'd watch from afar as the female vanished down the street the trio had went down before. Not too long after the mutant seemed to lurk in the street a short while, slightly confused as to what had happened and were the trail had led him. Before it slowly turned towards the street, it's body tensed and bones poking out, its large paws dragging across the ground. Shaking his head Hobson would make his way through an alley, soon popping out in front of the mutant. The creature appeared somewhat confused as it shuffled back, growling slightly before crouching down in a defensive yet frightened stance. Curling back his lips, saliva would fall to the ground, hackles raised and muscles tensed, slowly Hobson would stalk forward, a sinister look in his eyes. Growling, he'd lung forward, only to smirk with amusement as the smaller creature yelped and ran off up the street; he was rather well known to the creatures in the city.

--------

A lot of time had passed and Hobson had made his way in to yet another dark, damp building. Everything was dark and barren, his dark pelt allowing him to go unnoticed which was a bonus for him. Many thoughts still ran through the protectors head though; Why had the humans left them? Were they supposed to find a cure or something? Hobson knew that most of the dogs and cats were immune to the virus and few would get infected, but why leave them alone? Surely the humans, or a few of them could have stayed to carry out tests. At least it would have been something, even pets were left; something which seemed to annoy him. The amount of pups and kittens he'd seen wondering alone, many had already been mauled. Protecting the city and its inhabitants was hard for the lone warrior. However he wasn't one to complain nor quit, he'd tried his best since day one and he wouldn't stop until his heart stopped beating; until he turned as cold as the slabs beneath his paws. Letting out a huff, the large masculine would make his way up a small set of crooked stairs, which creaked beneath the brutes mass. Reaching the top floor, he'd look around, before pushing open a door which lead him to a small balcony which overlooked the city, just a small bit though. Letting out a huff the male would set himself on his haunches, looking over the small, stone fence.

Once again the streets were bare, nothing below but the odd feline which would dart across the street, later followed by a canine; all mutants and some even sane creatures. None appearing dangered so far. In the silence, the skies above roared, a small drop of water hitting the canines snout causing him to look up "A storms brewing..." he'd speak quietly. The clouds had turned grey and the sky was now a dark blue/black colour. The rain and wind was yet to start, only warning thunders had sounded and the odd droplet had fallen from the sky. In a matter of minutes the weather would have completely changed.

(That's perfectly alright.
Also, Hobson is the dog from the recording, which you can see on the first two posts I believe. His application also describes him in greater depth. I've had to post more as he hasn't been posted for in a while, or at all, so I done it from Dacis fight and onward.)

Hobson is quite a character! Very mysterious.
Anyway, I'm just waiting for Lourdis to post for Ilirhaeya.

Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Real life stuff happened.  :P
I'm not quite sure what to do. I'd be happy to post if someone goes first, (maybe Hobson or Boga?)
Otherwise I'll just wait out the hiatus like everyone else.
