It was originally part of a HUGE city map that was going to be the best map in the history of FERAL HEART!
But sadly my friend accidentally deleted her WHOLE fh folder, meshes, maps, presets, and all!!
So now the most amazing, realistic map in feral heart will no longer go down in history D':
But, fortunately I was given permission to have the animal testing facility to give finish it!
So, the city map is gone (CRIES DESPERATELY) but this little addition will remain!

@EmeraldDreams We can't just remake it, the city was 60% completed and the map was HUGE xD like so big it would take 5 minutes to go on freecam mode (the fastest speed) to get to the other side of it.
There was more than 1 person making the whole map. The mesh maker we had could convert models to meshes so we had a bunch of awesome meshes! There was also a mesh maker who took ordinary shapes & added textures to make it realistic & awesome :D.
But we only had 1 person in charge of putting the meshes in the map becuz she was very creative & it wouldn't work with 2 people anyway.
So as you can see we were all dramatized when she accidentally deleted it Dx
Maybe we could get a bunch of creative people together on FH & make it over again, that would be amazing! I've thought of it but never really took action after what happened with our map :'(

Well, fist off, do you have any other maps downloaded? If you do, you should let the animal testing facility files overwrite your other ones, that way you can see everything in the animal testing map. And I mean "overwrite" by when you put all the files in the exports folder, most of the time a message comes up (because some files have the same name) that says "There is already a file with the same name in this location", then there are a couple choices:
1. Move and replace
2. dont move
3. move, but keep both files (neva do that one, it doesnt work)
4. cancle
Do numver 1, "Move and replace".
Side note: The files go into the "Exports" folder, which of course, is inside the "FeralHeart" folder ;). Something that people do though is put the ATF "Folder" Into exports, but you have to all the ATF "Files" in exports.

Just to say that your friend can restore the map.
You need to go into your Recycle bin, accessable through the Desktop or Control Panel. There you should see your Feralheart folder. Copy that by pressing Ctrl-C. Then, go into your C:\Feralheart folder; post the deleted FH folder there. Now, to officially restore the map, you'll need to get the objects, object file, all the map materials/cfgs, the .map file, and the map folder itself. Generally you can just do this by typing in the name of the map, if not abbreviated. If it's abbreviated just type in a few letters from the name. Then, go back to your C:\Feralheart folder, and into C:\Feralheart\media\terrains ; PASTE (Ctrl-V) THE MAP FILES IN YOUR C:\FERALHEART\MEDIA\TERRAINS FOLDER, NOT THE OBJECTS! To get the objects to work, you need to go back and copy (ctrl-c) the object files and paste (ctrl-v) them in your C:\Feralheart\media\objects folder.
Now it should work perfectly, because it worked for me and for my friends.

hey um..I have the map but someone told me to leave because i wasnt rping but i was watching people rp (because im not the best at rp XP) and they told me i was pathetic because i couldnt rp literate. I was not breaking any of the rules and Was not OCC i was merely watching the people roleplay and this person told me to leave. If you could do something about this player I would be very happy. But other then that I love the map very much you guys did an amazing job in it and when i DO rp i have a very fun time in it. Thanks again bye

That is very wrong of them, I put up no rules on how you have to rp (literate, semi-literate, ect) and they have no right to set up their own rules in my map. It doesn't hurt them by you watching them rp, that's just ridic xD.
Please tell me the username of the player/players & I will gladly tell them that anyone is allowed to rp or watch others rp, whether it be strictly literate or anti-literate, and they cannot set up their own rules for other people in my map.
I hope you rp more, its so nice to see all these peoples in our map, and we encourage any kind of rping, have a nice day :)

Hey there. This map looks awesome and I'd love to play on it, even just to explore it, but I'm discovering it refuses to work for me. I thought I downloaded and put it in properly, but whenever I try to go in, all I get is a large grassy field and a few caves on one side. There's no building in sight, through I did find a floating piece of paper or perhaps a blanket. Do you have any idea what I did wrong or perhaps have some tips on how I should've put it into the game? And before you ask, yes, I did put the files into exports.

If you downloaded any other maps recently then it will overwrite the animal testing facility files and they will not work. You need to download it again or look in your downloads folder (on your computer) for it and put the files back into exports, always click "Save & replace" or whatever option is similar to that :)

It is probably either the map is too crowded, or your computer can't handle it, or both :/

Well you probably downloaded another map after you downloaded this map, or you didn't click "Copy and Replace" or whatever iz called. You have to click "Copy and replace" for the map files to work :)

"some" ? How many rps do you have xD? It should be fine as long as you have no more than 2 of your rps in the map xD
Also, I would like the name(s) of your rp(s) so I can add it (them) to the list.
I made a list of rps in the map because:
1. Rpers on the forums can see which rps they would like to join in the map (if they are looking for one)
2. I can see that there are no more than at least 10 rps in the map since its quite small (Though we are working on another facility map that will be bigger and better!). That way people aren't all jammed up.
3. It will just be more orginized

quick question, why do people test products on animals?
Well, first of all, (since several people have gotten mad at me for this map) this map does not in ANY way encourage animal testing. Just like when you kill another wolf/creature in rp it doesn't mean that your a serial killer in real life. But anyway, testing has been done on animals because people cannot (but some still do anyway) test on humans. As it is dangerous and is putting a human life in danger rather than an animal. Some animal testing is safe though, typically when you say 'animal testing' people think of the horror movies and stereotypical testing that 'tortures animals'. And this happens in some places in the world, as well as with humans even. Bottom line, it is safer to test on an animal than with a human, as a humans life is worth far more than an animal. But if it puts the animal in pain, than I oppose it.

It may be too big for your computer, but it says that with mine as well, so just try to keep logging onto it and it might work :) If it doesnt, than its probably your computer :/. Although you could turn the graphics down, turn 'reflection' off, as well as turning the view distance down. Hope that helps and you can go into the map :)

Sadly the mesh maker does not give away her meshes :( These were custom meshes made specially for the map.

A very popular mistake is that you didnt replace the files in the exports folder with the ATF files. Check out the video tutorial and see the part where it says: If something like this comes up, click "Move and Replace"

But there is one problem.

It's probably because the map is too big for your computer :( If you still want to get in, please ask on the 'help' thread of the feral-heart.com forums
To get your characters out of the map, delete the maps files from your exports and go back in to feral heart with those characters. It will be all black and you can go home by clicking on your 'feather' icon and clicking the 'home' tab and going home :)

There is and will never be a new version for this map. We don't have the map file for it, only the exports for it. This is the 'original' if that's what your asking. We WERE going to make a whole new one with better meshes and awesome sceneries, but that was canceled.

Try downloading the ATF map again and replacing the files in exports with the ATF map. So when you move the files, cilck "Move and replace". If this STILL doesn't work, report your problem on the 'help' section on the forums :).

Its probably too big for your computer :/ But you can try turning down your graphics, view distance, and water reflection.

Maybe the map is too detailed for your computer/laptop and cannot handle it. Or you could have just put the folder in exports but not the files.

If you've downloaded other maps and certain meshes have the same name as meshes on the map, that can cause them to vanish. Try re-pasting all of the map meshes and everything into your exports folder, and if it asks you to replace anything, just do it. I know it's kind of a loss, because that means other maps won't function properly or items won't show up on them. But it would take longer to rename every mesh in the folder, as well as edit the meshing codes. Kind of a lose/lose situation, but it's been working for me.

p.s.: About that city map that was accidentally deleted. Everything you delete on your computer goes to a holding folder called a recycle bin. Nothing leaves there unless you delete it in the bin or clear the bin. As long as your friend never cleared her recycle bin, her files should still be in there. All you to have to do is go to the recycle bin and right click on the files you want and then click the "restore" option or you can use the restore all option to restore all the items in the recycle bin. Hope that helps.

If your character is stuck, scroll to the top of the forums and click the button 'user panel.' Then enter your password and username. Then you can send your character to their home. ^^
Also, make sure your connection is good.

Replace OpenGL with Direct3D9 and try going in-game.

Theme of Roleplay: Animals are being taken in for testing, but some have been see outside the lab. Are the experiments planing a rebelion, or are the scientists planing to take over the world. The experiments are finding escape routes out of the lab, but the humans never miss them.

I did every step in the tutorial, and it says "Failed to Connect to Server", I'm on a mac btw, someone help?

I downloaded it correctly, as it said in the video, but when I go into Fh and try to go into the portal to the Facility, It just doesn't load and says "Failed to connect to map server" (Or something like that). I've downloaded once, it happened the same so I deleted it, downloaded it again and I get the same problem :(
I really hope you know what's wrong or what I'm doing wrong, because I'd love to try the map out.

when i tried to download it follow it directions a step caught off track when it said extract atf and i think i did that but when i got on to feralheart i didnt see at the cape of distance world... can you tell me what went wrong? :'( :-\ :-[ :P :(
