help with military time?

i'm having a hard time reading the time on the forums and i'm not even sure if it's correct because on one forum post it says it was posted today when i saw it yesterday :/ can anyone help me?

Click "profile" then "look and layout preferences"

Right by time offset click "auto detect" and then save. In the top bar where it says "Hello Alex-" to the right double check that the time matches the time on your computer.
