Cool! Feral Heart got a new coder, and other cool stuff. But, like many other people I can't play any character without the game deciding to shut off. I can't just reinstall all my mods from scratch! The links for legendary markings & items are dead, and I have my own texture I use ingame made from a preset and I can't remember the ENB shader mod I had, almost everything is adjusted to my liking... So they are one of a kind. What will I do?

Instead of totally uninstalling your old FH version, make a new folder in your C: drive called “Feralheart 1.17” and set the installation location on the new installer for 1.17 to target it. That way you will still have your old files and whatnot, just on another version. From there you can replace the new version’s textures by moving your modified textures to the new version.

Modifications are not officially supported, so they are never guaranteed to work. As for the game crashing, is this before or after you installed any new modifications? Do a totally new clean install into a “Feralheart 1.17” folder as I suggested.

It's been recommended to hold off on using modifications for your game.
Legendary mods work fine, you just need to replace the .cfg, but alpha had some sound advice.

Like BirdieBeep said, there are still quite a few bugs when it comes to the compatibility of some modifications. Mods like legendary items and markings work fine, but some of your other mods (such as the ENB shader) may be causing your game to crash. I'd try loading your characters without those additional mods and see if it works for you.

Have you tried to run the game without adding any mods at all? Try that just to make sure it's not something wrong with your actual game!

Does it crash on the character screen exclusively, or does it randomly crash before you log in?

Sounds like a podium or character issue. Did you install an animation mod by any chance?

Yea. It's not a podium problem either, because before I re-added my podium it crashed anyway with the default background. And my animation mod has never crashed my game. ( My animation mod for felines is basically the same idle animation but with a paw lifting up) (And the canine idle animation is kind of different, the idle canine looks around while also lifting a paw)

Is it giving you an error when it crashes? If so, can you tell use what it says or get a screenshot?

It doesn't give me an error it just says "loading" then the title music stops and it closes.
(And also now it's telling to me to get the latest patch of Feral Heart ._.)
(Um is PresetSync compatible..?)

PM me downloads to your animation mods, they are making your game crash. I will convert them to use in 1.17. Preset Sync is also incompatible and will corrupt your game, hence the "download the latest patch" icon. Totally reinstall and just link me the animations and you should be good!

And I think I have the same animation mods, just the canine though (They are Unnuuk's canine animations). Fortunately, I don't have the 'download latest patch' message, but when I log on and it goes to the character screen and it just doesn't load and just crashes. Again, sorry if the answer was in the thread, i'd hate to bother you.

If you can, upload the files to a file sharing site such as Mediafire and send them my way! If you cannot get them up, you may have to just go without them for a little while.

Hey there, I recommend making your own help thread in game help for someone to help you further!
But maybe try downloading this marking pack and see if this one works? This is the most recent marking pack, assuming your files may have been corrupted?
