Bloo's Entry
« on: March 05, 2019, 04:35:18 pm »

Name
The Wolf of Silver Lake

Age
12,000 yrs

Gender
Unknown

Species
Spirit

Appearance
Usually takes the form of a wolf, however has appeared as varying birds, a weasel, a tortoise, and a tiger.
Each form is tealish in color with hues of blue and accents of a shining silver, as if part of the spirit were made of metal.
Eyes are a glimmering silver specked with stars and an all knowing. Often appears enshrouded in a thick and rolling mist.

Personality
The Wolf of Silver Lake is rarely encountered face to face, and prefers to do its work in silence and from afar. However, the few creatures that have received aid from this mystical creature have described it as warm and kind, never angry and unbalanced. They say that simply being in the spirit's presence gives a sense of relief and calm.

Background
No one is positive about the spirit's origins, however ancient pictures drawn by dirty paws smeared in berry juices and mud on cave walls and dried bark paint a story of great catastrophe. The drawings depict a great war between spirits, the ones of the land and the ones of the lake. The land spirits would attempt to bathe in the lake, only to be chased out by the angry lake spirits who disliked the dirt and filth that the act of bathing deposited in their waters. The land spirits grew very angry, weighed down by their filth, unable to rid themselves of it. They banded together one night, under the light of a full moon so they could see clearly through the water to view their enemy. Hundreds of land spirits charged into the water, their negativity and chaos seeping from their starry pelts and spreading through the water like oil. The lake spirits were furious, their fins and tails, spikes and whiskers, thrashing in the muddled water, gasping for so much as a clean drop.

The lake spirits began attacking the legs, tails, and underbellies of the land spirits, clawing and slashing at them while they were retorted upon by snapping jaws, heavy paws, and razor sharp beaks. The once clear lake water darkened a deep black, swirling with the chaos of the fighting spirits. It was at this point that the moon blackened and all light left the world. The spirits froze in their fighting, terrified by the disappearance of their guiding light which had never before gone dark during the night of a full moon. From the dark appeared a great, blinding radiance, white and pure and glowing. It walked atop the water, paw step by paw step, not casting so much as a ripple as it moved. The spirits watched in fear, thinking this was their end, their punishment for fighting. However, the bright glow dimmed enough for them to make out its form, a great wolf with glowing silver eyes and reflective silver markings, star flecked fur waving in some unseen wind. This wolf spirit did not talk, but simply approached the spirits before stopping in between them, touching its nose to the water's surface. At once, it was like a cure, the lake cleared up, the negativity and chaos flushed out absorbed by the blackened moon. As soon as it had appeared, the wolf spirit vanished in a thick fog.

The land spirits withdrew from the water, their starry pelts gleaming with purity, while the lake spirits swam towards the center of their home and rested from their battle. From that day on, the lake spirits allowed the land spirits to bathe, though only during the new moon when the absence of their guiding light seemed to absorb all the impurities and chaos from the dirtied water leaving it shining. The wolf spirit has returned several times, though only to aid spirits and living creatures that have been plagued by a deep negativity the lake was unable to cleanse. Creatures of the land and the lake tell the tale to this day and depend on the spirit to keep their home clean of chaos.
