Title: Site idea about registration (?)
Post by: Whinp on August 08, 2013, 08:33:46 am
So everyone when see registration open they get happy, right?
But some unlucky ferals when clicking on the "Create an account" the registration is closed.
So I've been thinking in something.
What about how many hours/minutes/seconds left to registration close?
Let's take a look:

Didn't understand? Let me explain.
If there's 00:56:45, the registration will close in 56 minutes & 45 seconds.

Got it? Show your floofy opinions then ;)

by the way I used HTML modifier to put the thing. No worries I don't hack the site O.o
bc i dont know how to hack

Personally I like this idea, that way it can give people a certain time limit to get on the game if they want too but also, how frequently will this appear? Daily, every two weeks or so on. Also, I think to add to your idea, a limit to how many people can sign up. So next to your "00:56:45" lets says " 00:56:45 (15 spaces open)", so that way FeralHeart can limit how many users do sign up so they don't need to struggle with opening and closing registration.

Good idea! + Nuzzle

Brilliant! I'm all for the this idea, it's wonderful. I'd been trying to think of ways to try to help people who want to register but I never thought of something like this. :) Good thinking, batman.

Great thinking Kijiako! I would love to see this added. Would be a great addition to the forums, and especially for those wanting to register. c: +Floof.

I really like this idea. This is a nice alternative to the current system we have of it randomly opening / closing and for when people do sign up, they run out of time in filling out their information in the registration. Simple, yet effective, I like it. ?

That's a wonderful idea! Many people keep complaining about how the registration closes exactly when they start creating an account since they probably caught it just as it was about to close, this would help them time things better so they wouldn't be surprised about it when it's time for it to close again. The thing is since registration opens randomly I'm not sure if this timer method thing would work to show how long it has left open. It can be mentioned to Raz since he'd know what's possible and what's not. Great thinking though Kijiako ^^

I do like this idea alot, it saves the whole hassle of " The registration never opens DX" trends people make and or say. I think adding a viewing timer is a amazing idea. Although the registration is set to a random time, it will take alot for the timer to match up when it will actually open

I really like the idea. It'd be extra helpful, and another thing could be a timer before it opens.
Pretty sure that's impossible, but meh. I like this idea, it'd be really helpful actually.
I'd love to see it happening.

Phatom & Kijiako, both of your ideas are great! This could help out a lot of floofs. Especially those who keep complaining about how registration never opens ^^ + Nuzzle to you both.

This really is a rather creative and very helpful idea. If this idea is confirmed, then I'm pretty sure it'll help a lot of people who wish to become a player of FeralHeart. You have a very creative mind, Kijiako.

Great idea!
I'm sure one of the mods will talk to Raz about it.
However, the registration opens randomly. The timer should be added to the 'registration open' code so they would work together.

But the 'registration will open in ____' timer is a bad idea in my point of view.
More people would register, meaning that a lot more will connect. Maps will overflow with people or lag to much.
 :)

While it is very appreciative that ye' added yer own input to such a unique idea, Ms., I'm afraid this thread hasn't been conveyed in since the year 2013- around 7 months ago. Let's not respond to old and inactive threads, alright madam? Let the dead rest in peace. Try stickin' to threads and topics that were recently created and/or posted in. Try checkin' the date as to when the last few posts were made before providin' yer own response. Merely a future reference.

Lockin' this.
