Game Discussion / Re: What Songs Remind You of Feralheart?
« on: Yesterday at 02:03:40 am »
A lot of the original Lion King soundtrack reminds me of FH.  No surprise there!

For different reasons, there's a Phil Keaggy Christmas song that always reminds me of FH.  I changed the title screen music to that song, so every time I logged on, that's what I would hear.  Good memories.

And then there's Far Horizons from the Skyrim soundtrack!  FH was the first place I heard that song (on a custom map called Mountains of Melandru), and the beauty of it stunned me.

I'd rather be a cooler dog, but definitely poodle.  XD  That way I'd be warm-blooded, and I'd be able to live around people without someone trying to take a shot at me!

Would you rather have to eat every beverage with a tablespoon, or suck every sandwich through a sizeable straw?

Community Activities Hub / POLL - What is your time zone?
« on: October 03, 2022, 04:40:14 am »
Hey all,

Sometimes when community events are planned, there is some confusion about what time they're taking place.  The post might say, "Meet at 7:00 PM CT," which could end up being either too late or right in the middle of the work day depending on where most users live.  So, here's a poll to help organizers plan events around times that most people can attend!

Thanks for the advice, Morqque, and thank you Ame especially for the link to the necro help thread!  That was well-written and very helpful, not just for this forum but for online etiquette in general.  'Preciate it!

We would have loved to have you, Ame, Dylan and BlackSheWolf. :)

It was a fun time!  Even though we only had two racers this time, EarthSpirit and Harleen, they made very good time and we had fun climbing and talking together.  Hopefully you all can join us if we have a Race to the Top 2.0!

It's racing day!!

We'll be meeting at Ascension Island at 2:00 PM CST (3:00 Eastern), and we'll begin the race about 15 minutes or so after that to give people some time to trickle in.

A few last reminders as you prepare for the race:

-- Your character can have wings, but be aware that flying is disabled on the Ascension Island map.  If by some glitch you're able to fly, please don't do so to keep the competition fair. :)

-- Dashing is allowed, but discouraged.  It's very easy to overshoot and fall.

-- Remember that you can save your position like an anchor using the Set Home feature in your character menu (the icon with the feather on it).  This will give you a reset point if you fall, but it does cost precious time to set your position.

-- There will be a "RedLineLion" stationed at each fork in the road to keep you on track.  Follow the instructions in their names and you should find your way!

Happy running!

Thanks for responding, everyone, so glad you're coming!  Wow, someone did it in less than a minute?  Amazing!

Remember, you can use the Set Home button in your character menu to give yourself a checkpoint, but it takes a second and might cost you precious time.  I highly recommend setting home right before the change from circles to rings.

Also, be sure to download and test out the map pack a couple days in advance so you're sure you can get to Ascension Island.

Looking forward to Sunday!

Characters / Re: Sunder the Stag (or as close to a stag as I can get!)

Oh, I see!  Thanks!  Is there a way to make a preset starting with what my character looks like right now, or do I have to start from scratch?

That's a good idea, but even though it would look like a deer to me, to everyone else it would just look like a white blank.  That's how presets work, right?
