I'd just like to know if anyone here plays 'Slender'. It's more or less a game about Slenderman, you walk around in the woods late at night like some idiot, your job is to collect eight notes left by Slenderman. I haven't ever beaten the game but I'm guessing Slenderman disspaears after you collect the notes. But, your pretty much collecting his notes and running from him.
(Also the forest is gated in, which makes no sense....they should just climb out! TTATT)
So, I suppose here you can discuss the game? XDDD I wasn't sure what to post, but I wanted to post a topic about Slender.

I haven't beaten the game (got 4 pages) but I watched a walkthrough. And I realized it's such a pointless game because when you do get all 8 pages, Slenderman still gets you and then the credits show. It's like: what's the point of getting all 8 pages if Slenderman is just going to get you anyway?!

I'm apparently crazy, because I love to play this game xD I suppose the whole part of the game isn't about collecting all of the pages like it says your goal is - it's to be scared. I've gotten up to 7 pages and I keep playing the game anyway, just derping around and trying random things. Just to be scared. It's like rollercoasters - the fear of the fall. Or haunted houses, I suppose. Even then, finding all 8 pages and surviving is still my goal, even though the game is programmed to make it impossible. I'm crazy. But it's fun xD

Ah, Slenderman is easy. The fact that you can *SPOILER?* Get away *END SPOILER?* Kind of ruins it for me xD It's like Penumbra. Whenever you can fight the bad guiz, it makes things feel a lot safer.

I've never played Slender myself, but I've watched PewDiePie's playthroughs. I kind of want to play, yet I heard how it ended, and I don't know if it's necessarily worth it xD

I find this game scary, especially after finding each note since the music gets scarier. I still play it though, its loads of fun xD
Unfortunately the game is pretty laggy on my computer, thats the downside of the game for me :(

I tried to play Slender. A friend of mine told me about PewDiePie's attempt to complete it (Which he has never done.)
I watched the videos starting to build up questions in my mind, who is the Slenderman? Where does the myth originate from? Why is he here? Does he really exist?
So I started researching about the Slenderman, and i've found out that he is of English/German folklore(someone comment if they have read different otherwise.) I also found out that some certain researchers have tapes, pictures, videos etc of children playing and a dark tall figure.
In one picture that baffels(confuses) me is that they are in misty woods that look partly deforested, there are 3 children and ONE DOG. Now according to some people, dogs can seek and smell and sense mythological disturbances (such as the Slenderman) but in this photo, the dog appeared to be posing in the photo not looking at the Slenderman.

What I have researched VIDEO wise of the Slenderman game is that when you do manage to collect all eight pages, he still gets you. However, a new ending has been added as it says IN the games documents (yes I read the hints of how to complete the game within the game.) At the end it turns daylight. I have heard tellings of a HOLE that is then appeared in the fence, but WHERE it is, I do not know, I believe it could be anywhere in that fence. Now I have never seen anyone escape the Slenderman to run for the fence hole, because after a certain amount of time when you see daylight you think "Yes i've beaten the game, i've beaten Slenderman." You have NOT, he still gets you. (Unless you happen to find this hole in the fence that i've heard about whether it is real or not.)
Now I have never completed the game because my netbook cannot support the graphics (which is ridiculous) and makes the game lag to the extrent of being unable to play it. But I do know some techniques that i've watched upon Youtube videos.
- When you grab the pages, NEVER look back. No matter how big the urge is to find out.
- When the music gets louder, people do tend to panic, this you have to try not to.
- Slenderman becomes faster everytime you grab another page, you have a sprint ability but it does not mean you use it ALL up. Take it in rhymetic turns to sprint/jog so that you are put much further away from Slendy.
- The more you wait, the sooner Slenderman gets you. If you wait behind a tree after looking at Slenderman this does not change how far he is but you should follow number 1(don't look at Slenderman.)
- Do not try to read the pages, as you may have noticed on PewDiePie (stupidly derping at the pages) he turned around and Slenderman was RIGHT there.
- If you do so happen to panic after looking at Slenderman and you throw your mouse push your keyboard and leave your person looking up, does not make you safe. If you perhaps turn the opposite way whist still looking up (I cannot guarantee this works) you might make it away from Slendeman, this is where you use your sprint.
I may have not given all the info I know but if someone else knows more, do tell.
In the folklore, Slenderman had long limbs, no face and a black suit. He was notorious for kidnapping children and not seen without a trace. In the folklore, Slenderman is a cannibalistic humanoid. It says if you attempt to become cannibal, you become the Slenderman, wanting more. Children are small and frail, unable to see the danger coming, that is why Slenderman preys upon children.
It has been said in some news that children have gone missing and there is no evidence to show who did it, could this be the Slenderman? Nobody knows, most adults think it's just another story. I believe the Slenderman is real, rare to be seen, does kidnap children and already has.

I COULD probaly complete it- but get taken by Slenderman. Once I slammed my laptop shut when I saw him, . I did this three times, opened it back up and realized I was still alive X3. But Slender was there everytime T___T. Eventually I ran out od the room screaming because I looked him right in the face. D=

This is interesting to me, the sense of these unknown things. I'm not sure if I believe in Slenderman - maybe? but I do believe there are a lot of things out there we don't know, and many many things we think we know of when we're wrong. So maybe I'm wrong as well. Maybe there is Slenderman. Maybe the shadows that reach like claws we fear in the night aren't really shadows. Not the kind we wish they were, anyway.

I started watching videos about this game and now I'm interested in playing xD

The game itself is alright, not really that scary since you know he is always going to be behind you after a couple of games (it took me two to realize it.). The idea of running around to get notes is fun in the first try but not for replay value. I won't really recommend it to anyone that gets scared easily but after a while the scares get annoying which is not pretty at times. (Hell, even Pewdie wasn't enjoying the game after a couple of runs too.)

Yes, twelve years-old are considered to be children. To actually see the spurious Slenderman, you need to either play the game that is posted in the thread, look at a popular web series or just look up Slenderman on any search engine on the image section. As for being frighten of a superstitious being, you'll get over it soon since it isn't real xD.

Anyway, if you get all 8 pages, it takes you to Daytime mode. After you collect all 8 pages, it is 20 dollers mode. When ever you look at him, Gimme 20 dollars plays XD Gotta luv that.

I've played this game (six pages on my first go), and found it to be too boring to bother carrying it on for what I've heard (nothing, apparently). It isn't scary for me either because Slender Man isn't. If I was running away from Smiledog or Jeff, then, yes, I'd be scared.
Had a bit of fun to begin with, but it soon wore off. I might go and try the other Slender games.

OMG! I loove this game! I just got it a week ago so I've only collected 2 pages before and I rarely ever play it because it can give me the heebygeebies... -shivers- I don't really know what I like about the game, I guess I just like that fact of walking throught the forest and then turning around and seeing slendy right behind me. Once I was in the kitchen playing it, and my Dad and my brothers girl friend were talking and then I turned around and he was right behind me, so I jumped and screamed, I also swore infront of my Dad, causing me and my brothers girfriend to start cracking up laughing. And then the same thing happened but luckly I didn't swear... xD lol
I recently played it at one of my friends houses at about midnight, but we were too scared to turn around so we took my computer out to my friends mum and made her turn around and he was right behind us! And her mum got a shock and then laughed xD and me and my friend couldn't stop laughing! Sad to say that very night my friend had a nightmare and it was with us playing it in the same room, and she was controlling the keyboard, and she said in her dream she got to like 7 pages and then she turned around and he was like 1cm away from her and we just screamed in the dream apparently..! xD so... lol

The Thing about Slender, is that it scares you most the time, that's only the fun part.
It's even funner because you can't do anything to him.
But in MY opinion, it's a fun game.
(Showed our English teacher, she played it, and she screamed really loudly :P)

Ohh. I love slender. By the way, The game isn't completley pointless. xD When you beat the game you get a mode for each level you beat it. Like after you beat the game, you get the "twenty dollar" mode. In that mode, it's day time, and if you see him, he'll sing "give me twenty dollars." The other modes, i'm not sure of. Just letting you know, there are SO many slender maps on slenderman'sshadow.com. ;3
