Title: DO YOU LAG? DO YOU NOT LAG? HOW MANY PEOPLE LAG?

Ok, for a map im making i wanna know how many Objects i can put in (low-med poly) without making peoples computers explode and spider webs forming xD My computer is BRAND new and NEVER EVER LAGS and it can do like everything, i know mine can handle it with ease, but im not as sure with other peoples =\
 
Also, PLEASE post if you have voted AND details about your lag (or lack of lag) Example

"I dont really lag a lot, no matter how many objects are in the map, but when a lot of people are there, i lag tons"

also, feel free to include how new your computer is =D

 Lol, I lag in FH. 8D But I realized, it's only in places where there's a lot of trees specifically. Bonfire is a great example lol.

I only lag where there are lots of dudes on a map, or in some situations, a huge bundle of trees. xD but it's not so bad that my game crashes c: though it has its 'exploding' moments o-o;;

probably not, I actually used to not lag at all. XD but for some reason, the lags started up after I got the 1.06 patch O_o coincidence, I hope? o-o

I answerd not really XD

I have a pretty advanced graphics card but i lag mostly on Bonfire or at the entrance to ficho or bonfire.

When i make a map like a forest i have maybe over 45 trees and i dont really lag. when i make maybe 89 or more i begin lagging. the more objects u put in the more u lag while making it. I wouldnt worry about lag if your talking about ingame lag on your map.

I lag only when my laptop over heats, or if the map is FREAKISHLY HUGE and FULL OF OBJECTS, aka hardly any maps that I have. xD

I lag most of the time because of all the users in one area. Not horrible lag, but I do, yeah. In a deserted area I'm fine. C:

As mentioned earlier, the biggest lag is caused from other users, and not the stuff in the map, though particles can slow things down as well.

I think you will be alright.

The in game lags depends on which settings you are playing with as well. Running the game with 4x Anti-aliasing instead of 0 makes differences, same if you run the game by 800 x 600 instead of 1920 x 1080. View distance does some difference to the performance as well in a tight map like the one above.

But something like lag in bonfire is something most users will experience unless they have a really decent computer and run the game on low settings.

Just for the thread in the matter of hand, I got a rather new computer as well. It uses a core i7 clocked at 3.6 Ghz right now, a GPU with 3 GB of video memory, and plenty of RAM memory to go around, and I still experience low frame rates under 20 fps on crowded evenings in bonfire. Maybe I'm missing something crucial here, but FH is infact very demanding if you want it sharp.

I lag sometimes, especially when I'm in maps with LOTS of objects. That gets me really laggy :/

My computer lags with everything. I can't listen to music, draw and talk to someone on aim at the same time without having problems. :| It's not unusual for Adobe Flash player to crash on my every fifteen minutes. However, FH runs pretty well for me. I only lag when in places with a whole bunch of other players or a whole bunch of objects. The main screen also lags for me, the one where you log in. It's rather odd.

But compared to games, like, say MapleStory of WolfQuest this game runs great for me. C:

For anyone who might even be mildly interested, I voted "sometimes" because it lags at some points and not others.

i only lag if tthere's 10+ people in that map, otherwise im fine... but bonfire just kills my FH. DX

For me, all of the public maps all the time, especially when I'm around a lot of people. Even though I have water reflection off and view distance set to zero. ewe
And most of the time, if I'm at the N/Z or Bonfire, FH will crash instantly. But sometimes, I can be lucky if I keep making my character look straight at the ground or at the sky.
... Fail computer is fail.. It's only a year old and it still does stuff like that. D|

My internet will completely crash if I go to it while FH is open, and then FH will crash too, and sometimes my computer freezes. o.e And same thing with Adobe Flash.

xD I can usually have the internet open while I'm on F-H, though I keep F-H windowed and not full screen all the time. As long as I don't have too many tabs open or something that's going to suck up a lot of memory or whatever, I'm usually fine. o-o

Lag is my life~ I hate it, and it loves me. But hey, maybe my computer just sucks. XD Scratch that, it does. Not too bad, though... My game has those moments when I go into a crowded place or try to f3 just after opening it, when it explodes and goes a little crazy. But the lag is never as bad as crashing my game or my laptop. A question though, has anyone else experienced more lag with their character AND chat lag with the newest patch (V1.09)?

Same, that's why I usually spend time in a place in Fluorite because if I go to the "N" it just lags like crazy. But thank Kovu for the running buttons. I'm in Cape or another map too. In one of my group's maps, it just lags a bit.

I don't lag horrible in Bonfire Island, but I do lag when there is a lot of people there, especially when I turn around to face them.

Generally, the thing that makes me lag the most are oak trees, lots of oak trees in a single area.

Well, were most people lag is in Bonfire Island (thats because where everybody is mostly) I do lag a bit in BI.. But overall, no I don't lag in any other maps; including my own. But, for everyone who is in Bonfire Island don't be surprised if you get a bad token..

i have 2 difrent periods in the game...when it lags realy realy bad soo bad i cant look at 2+ characters standing still and when there can be a sea of characters and no lag at all.

I lag alot at Bonfire Island.. Sometimes Ficho, and Flourite, but at Cape of Distant worlds and my own maps my computer don't lag.. So, it lags because their is loads of people in one place, if you move to a different spot it gets sane. :D

Like others, I suffer a lag in crowded areas. Even five or six people in front of me can make me lag. Huge groups can even freeze up my whole computer.

Also, sometimes I lag when I've just entered the game, even when no one's around. But that goes away after a minute or two.

I lagg alot on a laptop, but the other type of computer goes as smooth as ice. I lagg in Bonefire, any computer. So crowded! Usually its how many peaple, not how many objects.

I run on an ASUS. Lag doesn't exist that is my computer's problem. FH itself lags when I look at HUGE groups of people. My computer can handle 89789572764 zombies at once.
FH can't handle hardly that lol
