Okay this is a very easy preset making process i discovered that is extremely easy. You want a nice preset right? But you can never get those fur textures realistic? It takes a ton of work and never really comes out right huh? You want to have all that incredible stuff thats worth download and not ridicule. Well heres an extremely easy way to make that top notch preset. Even the biggest n00bosauruses can do it! ^.^
Step 1: prep your preset
Prepping your preset just means your going to get all the files ready to make it. Heres how:
1. Open "my computer" then go to the folder labeled feralheart then go to presets> my_presets> preset 1
2. open it (durr) and copy/ paste the files inside one at a time (you can leave the mane out if you wish) into an empty preset file.
3. Rename each file inside the file ou pasted to. (example: preset_1body >>> preset_3body)
4. go to one of the files inside the new preset file, right click the body and hit "edit with gimp"
Step 2: Making your preset body
Now to the fun, yet more complex part:
1. When your preset body file is opened, from there, click file>open and go to the / thats above the choosing box. Click feralheart and go to media> textures> Cbodyshade (or fbodyshade. fbodyshade is for felines, cbodyshade is for canines)
2. no that you have that opened, go back to your preset and go to windows>dockable diologs>layers
3. click in the layers window "new layer"
4. go back to your opened shade panel and click select>select all
5. Go to edit>copy
5. close the window with the shading in it. click dont save.
6. Go back to the preset and click on the new layer. Go to edit>paste
7. anchor floating layer and set the opaciy to a bit lower than 50%
8. Go back to the layer with he preset and go over it with white untill the entire preset canvas is white.
9. If you feel you cant see the fur too well, go back to the shading layer and go to the burn tool and hit burn and shadows
10. burn the shading untill you feel its ready.
11. If you didnt feel like burning it more, we should be back to the preset layer (same with those who burned theirs)
12. Now for the fun. simply draw as you please, the shading is still be there as a guideline and will give you a great fur texture.
These are also the instructions for the rest of the preset. Exept for the eyes. This has its own step. I only chose the body as my example because i presfer starting with it
Step 3: Eyes
the eyes are actually fairly easy, but the shading does nothing to help.
1. Open your presey eye file and simply edit over the eyelif area. dont edit the teeth heyre already fine.
2. i honestly dont know how the eyes can be done so i leave the eye as it is. But i do get creative once in a while and take chances at them.
When saving and a thing telling you to export comes up just hit export. 1t doesnt hurt anything
