Title: Why do I see more warrior cat roleplays than dog roleplays on animal roleplay?
Post by: DancingWithDeath on January 13, 2014, 10:18:59 pm
I wanna join a dog RP but all I mostly see is warrior cat RPs and I cannot join human RPs because they are too popular and I cannot join Misc RPs because no one ever often makes RPs there and I cannot join ingame RPs because my computer lags alot. Can you help me find the answer? And I cannot make a new RP because it takes FOREVER to make it. And most of the dog RPs I joined are died.

((Mods, feel free to move this if it dosent belong here.))

D--> Simply put, Warrior roleplays seem to be more popular than dog roleplays. I too have noticed the spike in Warrior roleplays here on FH. If you can't find a suitable dog roleplay to join, then you should probably make one of you own.... even if you say you don't want to do that. It's better to give it a shot than not do it at all.

OMG. The warrior fans make me so sick.

D--> Not the nicest thing to say about the Warrior fans. That's a bit of an insult to my friends who love the Warriors series and love roleplaying as Warriors. It's also an insult to me, since I participate in their roleplays too.

Well said Sir Equius. Next time, try to state such a touchy opinion in a more civilized manner Ms. A mere request from another user.

While it is pretty clear to most members of the community the growin' fandom via Warrior Cats (sometimes it isn't even Warrior Cats. It could be individuals who've taken a likin' to roleplayin' feline species), it just takes one to look close enough to soon find the organization that matches their personal tastes. My advice is to keep lookin' ma'am. There's plenty of canine roleplayers here that, sooner or later, will more than likely make a forum roleplay ye' can participate in. Ye' just need to be patient or, like Sir Equius stated before me, ye' can make a roleplay of your own. Tryin' it out won't hurt, ja? However I'll leave said option up to ye' madame and I wish ye' luck.

I think the large number of warrior roleplays on the forum are there, largely because it reflects the frequency of warrior RPs in the game. They're everywhere, after all.

That alone has a lot to do with our sort of community.
Warriors was written for a pre-teen/teenage audience (exactly the people who play FeralHeart), it has a very easy-to-understand hierarchy, style of community and even naming style already laid out, and so that makes for fun plots that are easy to make for young roleplayers. Even as they gain experience, it allows for many more complex developments between characters and Clans in general to take place. Personally, I love them, and warriors themselves.

(Not to say I love all of the drama that happens between many warrior roleplayers, but keep in mind that he same people who start drama in warrior RPs are probably the same ones who start it in wolf, lion, hyena, etc. roleplays, as well.
Not about warriors, just run-of-the-mill internet angst. Oh well. *Shrug*)

This is all the same for the forum. It's popular, and people flock to warrior RPs because they can be a lot of fun.

As it's been said, though, there are many other RPs out there. Keep searching, and also be sure to check out our Off-Topic Roleplay Section (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&board=39.0) as well, since it usually has a lot of variety.

But, if none of those pique your interest, then simply make one that interests you. Message some frequent roleplayers on the forum, ask them if they'd be interested in joining your RP. The possibilities are endless, so just look around and see what you can find, or make yourself. c:

I like warrior cats in any other game but in FH it makes my mad.. IDK how it is fun.. The point of me bing on FH is to be original. I have had a time traveling char for two years now, my rp frind is always in the warrior rps and I would join him but it would give him rp spoilers for what I have been planning for weeks! *facepaw*

I know. I also play on a website called Warrior Cats RPG and I play on Animal Jam, but the way people RP warriors on animal jam sucks! Animal Jam is a kids game. And since when does a kid's game need violence?
