So I was creating a preset for a particularly fluffy character of mine, and made a special fur texture for him. I was really pleased with how the texture came out, and decided I'd let you all use it too ^u^
When you download this texture, all canines in the game will look really fluffy, and may bear some resemblance to a particularly soft teddy bear XD
Here's what the texture looks like; I used a lighter character to demonstrate the details but the texture works on any character.

The texture pack may make the non-mane tufts look a little strange, but it doesn't affect manes at all.

Just download the file and open the .zip, then move all the contents to C:\FeralHeart\media\textures. Your computer will ask you if you want to replace the files, say yes.
If you decide you don't want to use this texture anymore and want to go back to the default textures, just download this:

And repeat the process listed above. ^u^
You can feel free to use this texture on your presets, too, but I'd like some credit for it if you put the preset up for download ^u^
Also, would you be interested in seeing a feline retexture from me? I may make one, if this canine one is popular enough C8
I hope you like it, and if you have any questions feel free to ask. C8 Also, I'd love to see screenies of your character with this texture on! <3

I'm not all that familiar with Gimp (As I use Photoshop) but if Gimp works in a similar way, then open up the texture and drag it onto your preset's texture. Then move the fur tex around until it is in place. Set the layer mode of the fur to 'multiply', and you should be able to see the preset tex underneath!
I hope that made sense, I'm not very good at explaining things ^^;
-
I'll give it a try!
-
I used Your fur texture, of course I give a credit, but I want You to know ^^.

I'm in fact slightly confused... I don't get what you mean as the mode to "Multiply"...

Hmm... you work with layers right? And know how to use them?
If you do, then there should be a drop-down menu on the layer box that says things like "Multiply", "screen", "overlay", etc. Go to the shading layer, then go to the drop-down menu and select "Multiply".
This is assuming GIMP has a similar layout to Photoshop ^^;
