Title: Does anyone use the PresetSync?
Post by: .Dispute. on August 05, 2015, 01:01:32 pm
So I was just on YouTube and actually, I've come across an interesting video. I have never heard of it and it makes me so very curious if it's still or actually ever was a legitimate thing. The preset syncing thing is meant to be something that downloads other local presets before you run your game? Thus removing the effort of having to go to individual bios to get a link and so on... here is the link to the video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3QjreQWuKg (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U3QjreQWuKg)

Please let me know if it's a thing, would actually be so useful.

Yep, Preset Sync is a thing! It's made by Razmirz, and you can find it HERE. (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&topic=39845.0)

I stopped using it, since BitTorrent Sync got incredibly annoying, but it's otherwise pretty helpful!

How exactly did it become annoying, do you believe I'll find it annoying after downloading it? xD Is it worth getting is what I'm saying.

Preset Sync can be a helpful tool to use because you're able to upload your presets to the server automatically, rather than ask people to download your preset by providing them a link. If you use the preset sync, this will also work for them, and you won't have to worry about downloading their presets, assuming they use the Preset Sync as well. It's definitely an option to consider, and any important details are found in Turtlex's link above.
