Ahh, Feralheart. How you made me grow up so. I joined late 2014, in December.

I'm just plopping down videos I have found for you. Only 3 of these are mine and I was 13 at the time so take it easy on me, lol.

^^^ If you see anything not-safe-for-feralheart, staff, feel free to remove it. I'm just compiling clips after watching for a few seconds and seeing if I can find stuff of the 'good old days.'

I may have joined back in early 2015, but I do consider myself apart of the oldies. Not the original oldies, but...a, newer oldie per se. Throughout the years, there have been so many changes with this place, game-wise, and player base-wise. Everyone who has posted prior to me has done the explaining justice, as well as bringing other things to light as well, so I don't have much to say.

I will say this, though. Maps generally were bustling with life- so much life the server sometimes crashed or a map had issues that Raz had to go and fix for us. cx You could go to any map and you'd be 99% guaranteed to see at least one or more players. You would see roleplays scattered around everywhere, members recruiting for their groups, people just sittin' around talking, and various members running about. That made the game feel more alive compared to how it is now at times where you could go into Bonfire or Zama Grotto and see nobody for awhile.

I miss various things about the older versions of FeralHeart, but one of the things I miss the most is seeing so much activity in so many different areas. Roleplays, chatting, and various miscellaneous things Nynx has already mentioned. Thankfully, you can still see players around chatting with one another and roleplays still about, but it's definitely not as much as before.

I joined in 2011 and to say the least FeralHeart was at it's peak then.

The maps were full. To the point of not being able to get into them sometimes. The game would simply provide you with an error message and your game would close. It was definitely frustrating sometimes! The 'mate centers' and the 'pup centers' were popular and honestly everywhere. Even in Ficho Tunnels occasionally.

The general atmosphere of the community was lively and fun. The community was 'chatty' and things were generally more simple. Groups were doing very well and there was never a shortage of members. For any group.

Overall, this is what I can remember from the old FeralHeart. I was also very young in the beginning so the memories are kind of faint! But I do remember my friends and the groups I was in, before pretty well. This is a nice discussion and it truly makes me happy to see other people reflect on the past. <3

Incredible. I miss it so so much. The old maps, just...everything. I can only hope that those with authority make the right decisions based on what we all miss and want.

All of your responses are heartwarming. If you have the time, please visit this community survey and state what you want for this game. It's important <3 https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=66053.0

It was more lively and active.

I joined the community and game back in 2012. When I first joined the game had more players, so there was much more going on. More roleplays, more social interaction, more drama, more talking and chatting. There was never a dull moment.
What I miss about the old Feral Heart the most is how much more active it was with players, and a bigger diversity of open roleplays. You didn't have to join a Discord or a website to be part of a fun roleplay. All you had to do was become part of a group and go from there.

Sometimes I like to look through the old topics of the forums to look back on the old times. Looking back on those old in-game topics of the Game Discussion can show you the most talked about discussions and give you an idea of what it was like.

Pretty much everyone who posted before me has explained what old Feral Heart was like very well.

joining in 2012, this changed me and a lot of others. the game felt inviting, popular but yet you could do fine by yourself. it didn't feel forced, it was there 24/7. the community was way different from now. my younger self always stayed up on my old laptop until 5am roleplaying, having fun F3ing people with friends, trolling, etc.
there was a sense that there was always an open roleplay for everyone. this was before discord and the only way to have a website was through forums.

spawning in lonely cave, you get options of where to go. ficho tunnel was usually where all the edgy gothy wolves were. one of the portals, bonfire island was where the adoption center, mate center, TLK roleplays, horse and human roleplays were usually happening. it was fun to sit in skype calls and F3 a bunch of the people that looked funny, and looking at chat and general chat to see what people were typing up. general was removed around 2014 or 2015 i believe

next was fluorite plains, the infamous stone bridge, cape portal, L island, this map is a lot to explain. all of the mapless roleplays happened in this very map. stone bridge and general chat were the home of the advertising in the game, warrior cats were everywhere, this was a grand time to roleplay. it had many varying levels of literacy, realism, and features. some were semi-literate (meaning they used *'s/x's/-'s to convey an action. ex: -carries a box-) and literate being like a book. there was something for everybody.

i would ramble on about the other maps, but playing the game during this time was great, and if the map change didn't happen, the game would be thriving. yes you can download the old maps, but some people don't have enough storage, don't have the time or skill, or just think it would not be the same as the old game.
