Yes, comrades. Yet another Warrior Cats Roleplay has wiggled it's way into the FeralHeart community--but before you click out of this post, keep in mind this Roleplay is not like the other Warriors Roleplays that have come and gone so quickly (as far as recent memory). I ask that you excuse my untidiness and any grammatical errors, as it is currently 11:42 PM as I type this. Here is a little bit about our RP, or in other words, a "breakdown" of Starlit Pawsteps:
Literate
What we mean by 'literate', is that we expect members to roleplay in third-person sentence/paragraph format, almost like that of a typical book--but not quite, as members will of course, focus on their own characters only. We ask members to please refrain from simply *walks in* or *she walks in*. We do not, however, allow the use of what has been called, "wolfspeak"--where apparently members think it to be 'formal' to use words that they believe describe a body part and/or color. An example of this would be using cranium in place of head. While the word cranium does describe the head, it actually means the top part of the head, not including the jaw, or using the plural of the femur bone femora in place of she-cat or female. We don't allow incorrect forms of words such as that in SP, as it can get annoying when every other word is "aud, ocular, orb, visionary, pillar, etc."
Realistic
I cannot stress this enough. It is almost everyday I see unrealistic Warriors roaming around FeralHeart (not that this is necessarily a bad thing, so long as they are part of unrealistic roleplays) claiming to be realistic. But it is even more often I see Warriors Roleplays that claim to be Realistic, and still have cats with unrealistic fur designs and/or names/items.
Warrior cats, in a traditional and realistic sense, do not have names like "Dragonsoul" as cats do not know what dragons are, and hold souls to be sacred.
We do not allow unrealistic colors, designs, names, powers, or sizes in Starlit Pawsteps under any circumstances.
We are also realistic and practical, as we do use nearly every prefix and suffix used in the books.
Traditional
We feature the original four Clans in a new environment, after being driven out of their home beside the lake by various mysterious gangs of rogues. The Clans names and customs remain the same, as well as their past. We are so far in the future, however, that the major cats such as Firestar have long faded from StarClan, only to be reborn again and again. We require a traditional naming system.
Interactive
Here's what makes our roleplay unique. We have a member-driven plot that lets members become heroes or villains, or anything in between, depending solely on their actions and consequences made in the roleplay. Unlike almost every Warriors Roleplays, we do not have the Staff roleplay heroes and villains and only have members as side characters. Instead, we let everyone--staff or regular member--have the privilege of being who they want to be. Our plot can twist and turn based on the actions of one member or many.
We also have a system of "Random Events" which occur without warning when enough members are online and roleplaying in any Clan, or even as outsiders!
Lastly, we have a second system of "government" that consists of members voted by everyone else as Cat of the Month. We allow up to four CotMs in the "mini-staff" at a time--when a fifth CotM pops up, the eldest CotM is booted out of the mini-staff, but regains the chance of being picked as a CotM! This mini-staff discusses Random Events to Plot Events with the staff, and helps in decision making and planning.
The Map
Of course we're mapped! Our map, made by yours truly, is an original design that holds extremely detailed camps and territories for each Clan, careful not to cause lag. This map is still in the process of being made.
We will also have a map available for the the new "Moon" area known as Mooncliff, where cats will literally jump off the cliff and into the spirit world--only to awake at the top once they've finished dreaming.
It is also under consideration of whether or not we will include a map for loners, rogues, and kittypets; but the chances are very high.
Long-Term
We do not plan on giving up on this Roleplay, as so many other WCRP owners have done in the past. We plan to keep this roleplay as large and as active and fun as we can, and we even plan to advertise on social media, google, YouTube, etc. in the future to make this one of the most exciting roleplays.
