I suppose maybe.. Dragon's Den and Last Moon are similar to Feralheart, they are free and only require download I think. :3

I don't know much, but maybe Star Stable? I've only played it once last year. I'm not sure if it has updated or whatever, but it's free. You have to pay in order to get membership, though. That's all I know.
I've tried looking around, but at the moment, it seems like almost every game is an IT server that is usually a WIP.

The games I'll show you are not necessary the same like Feral-Heart but they're animal games where you are an animal.
I predator: I highly recommend this game. You can pick from three different stages. Cheetah VS Antelope, Shark VS Seal and Lion VS Cape Buffalo. When you pick a game, it randomly picks what you are. You have to defend yourself, fight, eat, drink, hunt and more to survive the wild.

Lif:
Lif is a game where you can be a wolf, deer, rabbit, bear and a fox.
You have to find totems to become the animal. For example, if you find a wolf totem and if you come close to it, you'll become a wolf. You have to drink, hunt and fight to survive. You can also find yourself a mate and have young.
You can also pick your gender, female and male.

Lif Serengeti.
Lif Serengeti is the same like Lif but it's based in the Serengeti plains. You can be a Lion, Wildebeest, Crocodile, Meerkat, Baboon and an Elephant. You hunt, fight, eat, drink and survive. You can also have young and you can pick your gender.

Ever tried Wolf Soul?
Its like WQ and FH would have a child with each other if you understand what I mean.
And there is Last Moon, its an IT server too but there will be a server reset so it better to wait until they have done that.

Wolf Home and Cat Island are two decent ones, but they're not 3D.
My friend plays a game called Seal Quest but I've never checked it out.

There is shelter (You have to buy it off steam), animal jam, lif, I predator, the endless forest, Tokyo jungle (You have to buy it for ps3) and spore.

I'm making a game kinda like feralheart, but more roleplay like. It's gonna be like moonrise a bit, but with wolves, and dogs. It recently started the progress on the game. If you wanna check it out, just ask me for link to website to give it support to keep it going.

This is one of the new IT servers which is around 7 months old now. The community is still small, but the game is pretty much fun.
Especially since it's still upgrading and updating. Give it a chance! ;3

Don't believe those rumors about the making of the game being cancelled, cause it hasn't been. The updates are pretty slow, but it may satisfy you if you're patient enough.

Istaria is fun as someone already mentioned! Sadly only humans are avaliable unless you pay, but if you pay there are DRAGONS so it's SO WORTH IT XD
World Of Warcraft is also fun and free to play up to level 20. Sadly there are no animal races but Worgens are werewolf like.
Alicia is a Korean made game that is horseback riding. You can pick up the beta version but there is still a lot of work to do.

WoW is great. I used to play a few years ago, had so much fun exploring and generally being a nuisance with my friends. Ugh, just got a flood of nostalgia. D:
To answer OP, Smite. It's actually nothing like FH but i'm trying to plug it anywhere I can. There's this wolf guy you can play as I guess.

Although Transformice is a fun game and has cool features, you can only play as a mouse.
It's nowhere close to FeralHeart, and not to mention: It's not child-friendly. There's inappropriate activity everywhere you go. FeralHeart, on the other hand, is a child-friendly game.

There is Cereal Soup! Its like Feral Heart sort of. The animal aspect. There is lore, you can play as a meerkat (there will be more species being released soon) its a sort of new thing, right now things are really starting to get going with the game. I am a designer so I make models and things. Its a pretty cool game and I think an awesome community.

There actually is.
Other members who want to find a game like FeralHeart (because they can't play FeralHeart for some reason or want to take a break from FeralHeart, or another game to play in their freetime other than FeralHeart) can always just come here and read this discussion thread for games that were recommended and play ones they're interested in.
Threads from 2012/2013 are still active to even now.

Some people tend to make new threads to keep the discussion going, but I see no harm.
Especially since there has been replies early to late 2015.

I'm thinking of School of Dragons if you like the How To Train Your Dragon franchise. I started playing in 2013 and it's still pretty fun. You can train your own dragons in the game (as one might expect). The only thing you have to pay for is membership if you want that. I myself don't really think it's that necessary unless you want Toothless or a flight suit.

As much as I would love to see this game be out already to consider the fact that very little is developed. I'm taking assumption that the developer(s) are taking their build time as only a hobby.
It doesn't take too long to construct an IT server, but this game's build time is ridiculous.
Am waiting, of course forgetting until another 4 year pass... or more...
I messaged the project chief in suggestion that they put their game up on steam in attempt for promotion. But they turned the idea down and wanted it to be all on them, no other providers. what a shame.
