Hello, everyone! I have compiled a little folder of music from some of my favorite movies to be used as in-game music for FeralHeart. All of the music in this folder is music that I personally believe fits the FeralHeart "theme" (sprawling, epic music, mostly instrumental, that calls to mind magnificent landscapes and majestic wild animals, with a touch of fantasy).

Includes music from: The Land Before Time, Princess Mononoke, The Lord of the Rings, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and others.

Also includes music by Enya, Adiemus, Fox Amoore, and X-Ray Dog.

INSTRUCTIONS:
--Copy the music.cfg file into the main FeralHeart folder and save it over the old music.cfg. Remember to save a copy of the old music.cfg just in case!!!
--Copy all of the other music files into FeralHeart/Media/Music.
--If your FH game is running, be sure to exit and restart it.
--And...you're done! Enjoy!

Thank you for this X) I have been looking for a new soundtrack to the game, but can't seem to find a whole one that fits it (and Im too lazy to cut up a bunch of random ones) Definitely going to download this :D

Also if you might make another one for some reason Avatar has a really good soundtrack

I haven't had the music on my FH actually turned up for over a year, now (with the exception of some maps with custom music), but... Wow, this is beautiful. It makes gameplay feel a liiiiittle like being in a movie. XD

I almost never have my Feral Heart running with the music on, but I'm going to download this so the music is bearable again.
It's not that the default music is that bad..it's just listening it for a couple of years gets annoying and I prefer my own music. XD
Anyways, nice job making this mod, Abomine.

Thanks! The reason (for me) as to why the default music got old after a while is because you'd be hearing the same music over and OVER again, which is why I tried to put a lot of different pieces of music into this pack.

Umm, would it be possible to hear it in Bonfire?  If not, then the title screen plz

I can put it in both, if you'd like. However, because of the game's coding, you will hear the song not just in Bonfire, but in pretty much every public map besides the caves.

Follow those instructions exactly, restart your FH game, make sure your music volume in-game is cranked all the way up, and it should work.

Lol it's okay. :D

To make your own music for FH, you open the music.cfg in the main FH folder. Then, look through your collection of music and choose the songs you want. Copy/paste those songs into FeralHeart>Media>Music. Then, copy the exact names of those music files into your music.cfg under one of the categories ([Title], [Plains], or [Caves]), so that the songs look like this in the music.cfg:

There are three different places you can hear the music:
1) The opening menu [Title]

2) The Plains, Bonfire, Lonely Cave, Cape, pretty much all of the public maps, and most private maps (unless the private maps have their own music) [Plains]

3) And Ficho Tunnel [Caves].

If you want to have a certain song play in a certain area, just copy/paste the code under the space in the music.cfg that corresponds with the map in the game. If you want to hear your song in Ficho Tunnel, copy/paste your code under [Caves] in the music cfg. If you want to hear it in all of the maps (including the title menu), just paste the code under all three categories in the music.cfg.

It doesn't matter what order you place the codes in the music.cfg, as all of the songs are played and shuffled in a random order every time you open FH.

I don't explain things very well, but I hope you get some help out of this. If you ever end up making your own music mod, please post it! I want to see it (and possibly download it). ;D

I tend to get a lot of individual songs from these two sites: http://mp3skull.com/ (http://mp3skull.com/) and http://beemp3.com/ (http://beemp3.com/)

If I want to get a whole album, I get it here: http://kat.ph/ (http://kat.ph/) However, since these are torrents, you'll need a torrent downloading application. These two are the most commonly used and (in my opinion) most reliable: http://www.bittorrent.com/ (http://www.bittorrent.com/) and  http://www.utorrent.com/ (http://www.utorrent.com/) I use the latter because it is simple,  lightweight, and doesn't take up too much space on my computer.

And if you're looking specifically for anime and videogame soundtracks, check this site out: http://downloads.khinsider.com/ (http://downloads.khinsider.com/)

@queensara: I found the Ginga Densetsu Weed soundtrack, but there are only four or five tracks on the album, not enough for me to make a full-blown music mod. But when I have the time, I'll make another expansion pack and include those tracks in the download. :)

@Hugrf: Thanks! I'm happy to hear that you enjoy them. And you're right. They ARE good for maps. I never thought of that...

@Jessie Dagger: I'm glad you like them. When you say that you downloaded both, do you mean that you downloaded both of the expansion packs, or that you downloaded both the Super-Mega-Ultra-Huge music pack and the Princess Mononoke music pack? It's no big deal; I'm just curious. I like to know which ones more people are using. :3

I downloaded the 1&2 giant music packs x'D I didn't get princess Mononoke, I don't know.. Maybe it's because I haven't watched that in a long time or something x'D

I love the variety, though, and I go as far as listening to a lot of these soundtracks when I'm not even playing FH, harhar. "Pilgrim Snow" from the Wolf's Rain soundtrack is lovely, though, and I'm excited to see what else you throw together. ^^
