Title: Invisible UI[Bug or Feature]

I know I'm not the only one having this problem.


The default UI for FeralHeart currently leaves me with the main 'frame' of the chatbox,and then nothing inside of it. Only white text on whatever I'm seeing with my camera in the game.
Not even trying to mod it out has fixed it.

If this is a feature, I kindly but firmly ask that it be... Reconsidered as a good idea, as it's very difficult for myself to read even with glasses, along with a lot of other people.
Don't even think about having dyslexia and trying to read with it.

If this is a bug, what's gone wrong?

It's a bug. Changing rendering systems usually solves it. If it doesn't, there was some other way to fix it but I've long forgotten it. Hopefully the rendering change fixes it.

I've switched back and forth.

Didn't do anything the first time, but I'll give it another go.

apparently the ui only functions properly the Direct rendering sub-system rather than OpenGL at any point.

This has never happened to me before. Did something in the patch potentially cause this?

Personally Direct3D9 is the rendering system that hasn't given me issues, while OpenGL has given me similar ones (transparent chatbox background, for example). I don't think the update would cause weird things to start happening though, as things like this have randomly popped up for people throughout the years

To use OpenGL while still being able to read the chat, you could paint all the clouds black so you can look up at the sky to read the white text, it's how I dealt with my backgroundless frame windows, but it was frustrating when there weren't enough clouds in the sky.

I've noticed this happen over the years too, and it seems to be one of FH's "nope, you added too many things to your game, I'm going to stop this function now" kinda things. Sometimes people have modded their game or added maps to their game and had this happen, which made FH's size bigger. I don't know how it effects this exactly? But it does? Sometimes people just use Direct3D9, or remove things from their game and works again. I know the Direct3D9 thing has been mentioned before, but I just wanted to generally post on what I've noticed happen over the years.
