Title: Monster.
Post by: LookingForAStar on December 25, 2013, 01:50:19 am

A monster.
I cannot hide any longer.
It's getting stronger.
The monster inside me,
Is something no one can see,
And, I'm what it wants to be.
Nothing can save me from this,
I've said goodbye to my life with a kiss,
Will me and the monster be missed?
The monster has taken control,
You need to get ready to behold,
The monster, unfold.
See this with your eyes,
He is all the lies,
As the old me dies.
He's now me,
This is something foreseen,
His senses, keen.
Go away and live your life.
You don't need to pick up the knife.
I know that you want to end your life.
You can defeat this monster,
I know that memory wanders,
But you can conquer,
Everything and everyone that's hurt you,
I feel the same way too.
Depression is the clue.
It haunts us, indeed.
I have yet to succeed,
To defeat the deed.
This darkness will not go forever,
But wait till you sever,
The monster, and you will be safer.

Quite a dark poem. It reminds me a bit of Edgar Allen Poe, in a sense. I like it with it's dark encroach yet reassuring ending. Like Ms. Starry has stated before me, it is indeed quite interesting.
