So tell me, what is your favorite type of map? ;) Forests won with me. I also enjoy hot tempered places like savannahs and beaches :)
-
I like forest maps the most! They just seem the most peaceful and comfortable to me, unlike most snowy and desert maps which are usually more vast and empty. Forests just make me feel more 'at home', I guess?
-
I really enjoy African-themed maps. I just love the look and feel of them. So simple yet so pretty. c:
-
I enjoy exploring forest maps and winter maps.
But my favourites will have to be forests! I love forests in general and trees, rivers and mountains! I love exploring in real life and some of the feral heart forest maps created by users look almost like real ones!
-
tbh i like underground maps i find them nice to explore and run around in
-
I find snowy mountains and caverns to my liking. There's something quite mysterious in a mountain range, and combined with a winrty setting, it fits my appeal quite nicely. Not to mention caves to explore.
-
Snowy forests and regular forests for me. Just like as Twisted said up there, really. x3
Also, I see no one has mentioned this at all, but I actually really enjoy exploring city/town maps and the like as well. Perhaps if the snowy forest and city/town theme were mixed, that'd be one of my favorite maps - I never seen a map like that, actually, so that'd be a cool idea for the future. Maybe I can try at making it myself as well.
-
I prefer the forest ones, mostly with some water to it. Nor too dark nor too bright. c:
-
I'd have to say forest maps are the best in my opinion. I love wolves, and I love a realistic place to dwell in but never territory claim.
-
Caves, mysterious forest, and beautiful vase of grass. Yeah, that's what I enjoy the most... :D
-
I mostly like Space/Galaxy maps and Hawaiian-themed maps.
-
I personally love maps, along with places in real life, that are foresty . With lots of trees, bodies of water, ugh. So pretty and calming. :D
-
I like the underground maps. Don't really know why xD
-
I love foresty maps, and Savannah type maps.
Most likely solely for the reason that that's the place my main characters would most likely live, hue.
-
deserts
just
deserts
-
I like any kind of Forest Map.. I also like Cave Maps, but I'll probably like any Map if there is a waterfall, river,
or just a Paradise feel to it, if you know what I mean. :P
-
I desire the forest type maps, or ones that have giant mountains with breathtaking waterfalls. <3
-
I tend to like particular themes in maps rather than environment types. I like cozy maps, you know the types that are filled up and lush and full of many hiding spots and crevices. I don't like the kind of maps that just have meshes splayed all about but rather the kinds that have meshes thoughtfully placed with careful attention to detail and atmosphere. I love gloomy or dark maps. Weather cycles are always a must for me and they have to be harsh weather like stormy rain or snow :3 However I do enjoy a gentle down pour on some still and quiet forested maps. As for environment I love a map that transitions subtly from one environment to another with rich attention to terrain and textures. I love deep and dark forests, dark and moist caves, and or rainy lonely volcanic but lush islands. My own map Ohkujaki Island took a great deal of inspiration from these themes.
-
I love realistic forest maps, or fairly large maps. But I also like cities and creepy maps. owo
-
Anything but forests personally. I make maps, myself, so making a forest is such. a. pain. Too many trees, too much lag. Underground maps are my favourite, because they're mostly filled with pretty, glowing stuff like fireflies or mushrooms, and they always have this peaceful feel to me.
-
It honestly depends ... I like any of the listed maps, but if they're just the same old bunch of trees and rocks, they're pretty boring. I like exploring to find little niches and I just like interesting detail and creative use of objects.
I'm making a forest map right now and I've put in some fun scenery, but now I'm down to filling it with trees and it's such a pain that I'll get bored with it after about five minutes. Which means that it's probably going to take an entire week just to put trees in it so I can actually call it a forest.
I'm not big on forests and savannas and maps that tend to be huge, anyway. I have a preference for beaches, islands, and caves/underground maps because they're generally smaller and more detailed - and when I'm making them, it's easier to think up fun objects to put in them.

I like all sorts of maps, and I have made all sorts of maps. I generally like maps on which I can build cool stuff, maps with creative terrains, maps with a challenge to them...
I've had a fascination with making tunnel maps from the start (I have 6 of these now; would be 7, but I haven't gotten around to remaking that tunnel), and intermediate maps (solely for the purpose of connecting one map to another), pocket maps (tiny maps inside a larger map, such as a den inside a cliff wall), mountain maps, etc. Oh yeah, and building maps, which are maps that are a building in themselves. I LOVE building impressive structures on my maps.
The only problem with impressive structures is that they tend to cause a heckovalotta (real measurement there) lag. The map I'm working on now lags badly in several different directions and takes ages to load. But it looks nice! XD
I like exploring forest maps, they're just kinda tiresome to build. *trees everywhere XD* I like hiding cool rock structures in the middle of the trees to spice things up. My map Piccadilly Forest has an entire map hidden by one such structure. It forms a path to the gate for the Path of Stars :D
I've made tons of different sorts of maps, and I love making maps... XD I'd go on about it all day~

I love any map pretty much- I love seeing what people have created themselves. However, here recently I've been dying to see a savannah map. I've never actually been in one.
-
I voted snowy maps. I've always had a fondness for winter. I also like underground tunnels and creepy places to explore. Any map is exciting if it's well put together!
-
I prefer forest maps, though thats only my opinion. I also like tunnels/caves and etc, just pretty much anything that I can explore x3
-
I absolutely adore forest maps. They're so calm and comforting. <3
