Oh God... these guys. I can't say how freaking ANNOYING these guys are. They're everywhere... there's no escape! You can lock your self in a titanium reinforced panic room and you'll turn around, AND THERE THEY ARE! When my friend and I were roleplaying a battle with some warrior cats, I went to go attack some kits. Well, this is how things turned out:

Me: The young dog lunged towards the kit, her jaws, which were frothing savagely, snapped at the kit. Eager to sink her canines into it's flesh, she parted her jaws in an attempt to close them over it's neck.
Kit1: -mews and bites paw nn-
Kit2: -trips dog with tail, making fall nn-
Me: (I decided to play along a minute, trying not to ruin the fight with a powerplay argument) With a yelp, Erna stumbled to the ground, but managed to regain her footing. With a howl of fury, she swiped her massive paws at the kits.
Kit2: -leaps on dog, pinning nn-
Kit1: -puts sharp stone through back, breaking spine and killing nn-
Me: [OOC: Ok, your powerplaying... there's NO way a kit could pin a 75lb dog.]
Kit1: Ur the powerplayer for not taking hits!
*Le block button* Much better.  :)

So... yeah. In the end, my friend and I ended up falling out of our computer chairs laughing, and hopefully the godkits got a taste of reality. What I usually do is tell them that what they're doing is impossible (politely XD), and if they continue doing it or tell me off, I just BLOCK THEM.

You name them, Domino! I might start a little campaign to popularize uncommon animals that deserve some recognition.

Aye Wolfie. Couldn't agree more with you. I mean, if you say something self negative as a joke (Example: "Oh XD. Didn't realize that! Heh, I'm kinda stupid at times.") then fine. I believe the word retard should NEVER be used, even as a joke, considering how offensive it is.[/color] People usually say it as a joke, and I honestly dislike when they do (though I choose not to tell them or get involved or start preaching, considering I'm turning 13 and not the wisest person). It IS a real condition, and you should never use it as a joke.

These are some pretty great suggestions... I almost forgot about Pallas cats. And if there was an uncommon species roleplay, I WOULD JOIN IN A HEARTBEAT. Finally somewhere Mela (my maned wolf) can frolick in peace, and my cougar won't be mistaken for a male lion.

Game Discussion / Re: Fear of bigger lionesses
« on: August 22, 2014, 02:57:37 pm »
I've been waiting for someone to make a topic on something like this. A lot of people get REALLEY unrealistic when it comes to size. I keep seeing horses that are less than default size... HORSES ARE FREAKING HUGE! Anyway, I was playing as my hyena, Chiwa, and requested to join a hyena clan, and I was aksed if I was a cub. I told them that my character was young, but has reached her adult height already, and I was turned down because I was "too small to be realistic." Meanwhile, the other hyenas were almost maximum size... some were bigger than the lions! Hyenas are maybe about the size of a small wolf... not 3 feet tall! So yeah, this is getting a bit annoying.

Off Topic: By the way, what did you use to make your signature, Crow?

AWESOME! But... uh... how do you use them? If I can get these to work, I'm going to prank my friend that my FH broke.  ;D
Do have to download anything... or?

Those are some great points, Sandfury... I couldn't agree more with the flaws.

Game Discussion / Uncommon Species
« on: August 21, 2014, 06:57:40 pm »
With all the beautiful animals in this world, it would be near impossible to roleplay them all. However, some animals deserve a bit more recognition, don't you think? It's not that I want EVERY species to be known by everyone, but there are some interesting species that I think would make good roleplays in this game...

~The Maned Wolf~

Probably the most popular animal to roleplay on Feralheart would have to be the wolf... or just canines in general. You'll see arctic wolves, timber wolves, all kinds of foxes and dogs. The maned wolf, (even though it's not a true wolf, and has it's own genus, similarly to the cheetah) is one that most people have never even heard of. I think it would be fun to set up a few roleplays for it... I mean, look at that BEAUTIFUL fur... and those legs! Another reason this floofy critter deserves recognition is it's similarity to other canines. When I was walking around on my maned wolf, Mela, some annoying realism-natzi runs up to me and starts bashing my character, saying "FOXES AREN'T THAT TALL, YOU UNREALISTIC NOOB! STOP MAKING UP FAKE NEW SPECIES!" (something along those lines). I'm not going to rant, don't worry.

~Aardwolves~

Now, we've all seen hyenas at bonfire, correct? Most of them are the well-known spotted hyena, but there are a few stripey ones too. Chances are, no one knows what this cute floof is: the Aardwolf. I once saw an aardwolf get criticized for being a "fake gray TLK hyena" as well as "Too small to be a realistic adult." If people love roleplaying as oher hyenas, why not give this little critter a chance in the spotlight? Just look at that widdle face!  ;D

~Servals~

I've seen all kinds of cats around FH... lions, tigers, lynx, bobcats, cougars, you name it! One I've never seen is the serval. These guys are one of the cutest wild cats (in my opinion, at least) and have very interesting behavior. I'm currently trying to figure out a good character design for one, and I can't wait to rp as it when it's finished. Look at those big ears! SQUEEE!

Well, that's all for me. What species do YOU think deserve more recognition?

A very interesting topic, Zealot, this happens a LOT with me. Sometimes, I roleplay my hyena, Chiwa, attacking lion cubs (not randomly, of course) in a TLK roleplay and it got awkward pretty quickly:

Me: The young hyena crept forward silently, eying the cubs intently, a smirk crossing her mildly scarred face.
The Cub: *turns around and runs away*
(This went on for a while until combat actually broke out)
Me: Chiwa sprang forward, her jaws parted and aimed to snap at the cub's shoulder.
The Cub: -bites-
Me: Chiwa cackled insanely with the rush of the hunt. "That all you got?" She swiped a paw at the cub's ears.
Another random derpy cub: LEAVE HER ALONE! -jumps on hyena and bites, tightening jaws so is impossible to shake off nn-
Me: [OOC: Dude, no offense, but that's kinda powerplaying...]
Random derpy cub: No it's not! -roars loudly- YOUR powerplaying by attacking cubs!
Snow F Angel: You mean hyena! You kill cubs AND powerplay!
Me: 1. Attacking cubs isn't powerplay, and 2. ITS JUST A ROLEPLAY!

(the angel started freaking out, and I watched for a few minutes, as it was kinda funny :D but in the end, I just blocked everyone.)
That's the most strange encounter I've had so far. Yours tops mine though, in my opinion. XD

Preach it, Crow, PREACH!
I agree with you 100% I think ALL mating should be kept away from crowded areas... or at least not in plain sight. It's like I'm watching Truth About FeralHeart, laughing hysterically, when BAM! *censors video* NOT FOR CHILDREN.
