Title: WHY, BIO? WHY!?
Post by: Ellen11v on January 29, 2019, 10:22:37 pm
This has been frustrating me lately, I'm sorry xD
I'm currently attempting to make a fun group in the game called PARTY HARD, and I'm currently working on a great group bio for it, but somehow it won't let me UPDATE the bio whenever I write down something NEW O_O I'm going slightly insane about it.
Here's a video

I've even tried restarting the game and the server hosting window a several times. It didn't work at all. :l

Bios have a maximum character capacity. I forgot how many characters, though. But this explains it most simply.

Ayy.
As Buffy's already explained, the character biograph has limited characters. That does include spacing and punctuation, just like a normal text document.

Dang... I just didn't feel that I wrote that much. But I understand. Thanks! :)

The best way to fix things up tidily for more information is to make a group recruiter that has a larger word count capacity.

you also need to hit enter before closing out of the biography for it to save, i'm pretty sure.

I don't recommend using a recruiter account. They fill up the server with accounts. As an alternative, you can always provide a tinyurl in your bio to some sort of website or post with more information!

Also check and make sure there aren't any unnecessary spaces within your biography.

Thanks for all the help you guys but I think I’m going to try and follow Morgra’s recommendation here! Thanks <3
I’ve made websites before and I can do it again~

Morgra has given a a good solution to the matter.
I do agree with Morgra, and do not recommend making a recruiter account.
Especially if it is going to be shared with other users, as you'd be connected through IP. We cannot take responsibility for any bans if your user gets banned through an alias connected to your account.

One thing you can do is press CTRL+J when typing in your bio. It gives you a little bit more space!

By the looks of things, that's what Ellen's done already. ^^
But it's good for people who do not know of this trick!

Actually I do know that you can do ctrl + J, but I thought it would use as much space ask shift + enter, which I used. :p
I only used shift + enter here.

shift + enter and ctrl + j take up the same amount of space to my knowledge.
