Blender to OGRE
« on: January 16, 2020, 02:31:37 am »
Another post, yippie... I'm honestly clueless on how to get my custom animations (blender) to Ogre, like to .skeleton, and when I have been trying to find info on it it needs an old version of Blender, (which is easy to find) but the thing for what you need is some sort of XMLconverter or something, which I have absolutely Zero experience with or knowledge about, since well, I've never really been into trying to make my own custom FH mods.

IF anyone wants to help and convert them for me, you're welcomed to, and so will be appreciated greatly.
 -Thank you

I believe the XML converter, you drag & drop the file onto it in a documents folder, or even on desktop (don't do that though) and it spits out a converted file. (that's how i've done it)

Just in case you don't have that tool.
I used to have the ogre exporter code for blender somewhere....  if i find it i'll give it to you, if you need it.

They might have an old thing, one example is a favourite bowl or dish, it's broken, pieces are missing, why fix it?  With gold and pieces from other dishes?

I'd love to have the ogre exporter code, since it has to be certain version of blender, which in all honesty I don't know which version that can load the .blend without saying the files too large.

https://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.49b/

add python2.6 scripts (i don't recall how i did that, i think i just downloaded python & pressed 'install' & it worked!)

https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogre
Some parts, i don't recall how these work but i trust you're smart enough to figure it out.

if all else fails, these might be helpful?

Is it me or are the files that I edited with a newer version of Blender the file size is too large for the older versions, and since I edited them and saved them, is there anything I can do?? Also is it just me or does double right clicking quit out the old blender versions? Oh and I need it to be a .Skeleton file not an .Mesh since it's custom animation.

I might be able to help too. I need to know where to start, can you make a screenshot of the Blender window with the Ogre Exporter panel included please?

I don't see any screenshot in the post you're talking about. Are you using Imgur or Photobucket?
