Title: How should I import meshes to 3DS Max?

So, I want to make meshes. I know how to work with 3ds Max because I have already made some meshes for ZooTycoon2.
But I want to know with which settings should I import a .mesh into the program, and with which settings to export after I finish it.

And do I need to have a special plug-in?

Yes, you need a plugin to export other 3D formats to ogre meshes.
You can see a list of what plugins there are here:

Do I need to download OgreMax Scene Exporter or 3DS2Mesh?
Or both?
Or all of them?

I don't really know, but I think you should try 3DS2Mesh first. .mesh and .mat plus the texture is all you need to use the mesh in FH c:

I use Ogremax 2.2.7 for exporting (you must install plugin for ogre 1.6.x)
and for importing i don't know any oficial importer, but i know one that works the 25% of the time (well, 25% it not so much but worked with some FH models)
i made a tutorial for importing (the tutorial was deleted, was my first post here)

I found a script for importing and worked for some meshes of FH
ImportOgreXml.ms (http://www.fileden.com/files/2011/3/22/3100980/ImportOgreXml.ms)
but didn't work for canine and feline body model, so i modified the script to this.
ImportOgreXmlbody.ms (http://www.fileden.com/files/2011/3/22/3100980/ImportOgreXmlbody.ms)

PD: you know how to import zootycoon2 meshes?

I have searched and downloaded Ogremax here: http://www.ogremax.com/downloads (http://www.ogremax.com/downloads)
But there's only 1.7x and 1.8x... Will it work the same?

And about ZooTycoon2, I'll PM you, since it would be a bit off topic here ;)

OMG, Big sorry. the ogremax web page has been updated.
in this version of Ogremax exporter there is none for Ogre 1.6.x !!!!
But good news, i have a BackuP of the old Ogremax exporter for Ogre 1.6.x. Is the same I use.
