Oh, and also remember that with 2.8.2 version of GIMP, you must EXPORT it. NOT SAVE.

OK, re-phrase. You can save it, but you cannot save it in a .jpg or .png of any of those as it only saves in something GIMP reads. If you Export it, you have the Advanced Options and can export is as those types of pictures. (I do recommend to save it too, in case the files is deleted by accident. You'll have a back-up. c:

Hello. Thank you for the turtoil! I have a question though, I put my texture in the Map's texture file (FeralHeart>Media>Terrains>textures) and I went into the map maker, and selected my texture but it becomes all black! What did I do wrong?
Did you open the file defaultTex in your Terrains>Textures folder and type in YourTextureNameHere.jpg?


Oh wait fixed it LOL thank you xD (sorry it has been a long time!)
