Title: Possible Thing to Help Those With Disabilities Play
Post by: Madotsuki on November 15, 2018, 06:53:47 am
So I suffer from SMA, and thus if I want to use the keyboard I have to use an onscreen keyboard. But when using it, the game thinks I'm clicking in-game and that means I can't talk at all. Is there any way that this can be fixed?

Hi! I've tried some things out to see if I can get it to not do what you're saying but I can't seem to make it do that.. sadly I don't think we can fix something like this for you as we do not have the source code for the game meaning we cannot update certain things. Other users may be able to come up with some sort of solution, I'm not saying there isn't one. I've relayed the question to my other staff members, if something comes up I will let you know asap, I'm sorry you're not able to type. :c

Alright. I appreciate the effort though.

Moving the view up to the sky while typing makes the clicks not move the character around, but I'm not sure what other problems the clicking is causing.

When you say your using the onscreen keyboard. Is this as a touch screen or some other method? If I have a better understanding of your setup I might be able to provide a more useful method to solve your issue.

It's the basic on-screen keyboard that comes on most computers for ease of access. I just move my mouse over the keys and click.

Ok so you can give this a go. Hoping its not too much hassle to setup...

If you install Virtualbox from here
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads

And download this exported instance I've created
https://static.feral-heart.com/FHonReactOS.ova

When you open the instance file it will ask to open with Virtualbox.
When asked choose to Reinitialise the network cards.

Then open Virtualbox and you will see the FHonReact Instance that you can start.
You should now have a system with FH on it. Run FH in there.

Now if you use the onscreen keyboard from your main machine the game shouldn't loose focus. Which should make using it far easier.

Let me know how you get on.
