Let's begin.
So, let's say you think THIS passes as a dragon:

Well, it probably doesn't.
Sorry, buddy, but I don't think fire dragons are bright red and yellow winged cats suffering from the rather...infamous 'Lion King Syndrome' as I like to call it.

So, you may be asking...
"Well, baaaadmeme, how DO I make a proper dragon on FeralHeart?"
Your question can and will be answered on this very day.
Don't worry, we have your back.

And thus, I present to you...

Baaadmeme's guide to
Creating a DRAGON on FeralHeart

Okay, so let's begin, as per usual.
Dragons are best made with presets.
If you're a complete and utter noob at preset making, you may ask..
"OMG BAAADMEME HOW 2 FIND PRESET TEXTURES??!?!/1"
..i'm sorry about that example.
In order to find preset textures, it's ridiculously simple.
Google "feral heart preset textures free" or something similar (or without the 'free' part if you have a goldmine of DA points!) and you'll find some.
Add 'dragon' into there if you can't find one.
Find a preset and go download the ZIP file.
If there isn't a direct download from DeviantArt on the page, there should be a link to the preset in the description of the Deviation.
Below this text is a link to what are quite possibly one of the best dragon textures out there:
http://feralheartuniversity.deviantart.com/art/Updated-Free-Dragon-Preset-Texture-360513096
These are the ones I used for my dragon, Halani.
They include wings, head, mane, tail, and 2 eye textures- round and slit pupils.
Next you'll need to download a photo editing tool!
GIMP and Photoshop are my personal suggestions. MediBang paint works as well!
But, whatever you do..
Although it may be tempting..
NEVER. USE. MS PAINT.

Dragons have loads of different body variations.
Some are long, slim and elegant, others tubby, greedy and gluttonous. Personality may impact what a dragon hatchling grows into- but I have something else to talk about.

OVEREATING PREDATORS. OH GOD, OVEREATING PREDATORS.

Now you may ask, "what is an overeating predator and why do you hate them so much?"

Well... it's simple. Overeating predators will hunt every 5 minutes. No kidding.
It typically happens in characters with "Lion King Syndrome".

Now you may ask:
"What the heck is Lion King Syndrome?"
Thanks for asking me that.
Look at this:

See any problems with 'Nala' here?
She's just the default build with the chin slider maxed out and painted bright yellow.
Nah.
Not good at all.
Need to learn how to NOT do this?
Well, here you go:
http://www.deviantart.com/art/FeralHeart-Guide-THE-LION-KING-439476337
Woo, tangent.

Back to Overeating Predators.
Most of Bonfire's deer population is fallow, but there's tons of other things to hunt.
Overeating predators are surprisingly common, actually. And they ONLY seem to hunt deer.
D E E R.
Please stop bushwhacking away at Bonfire's deer population.
R.I.P.
I wouldn't want to see overeating predators as DRAGONS. No, no, no.

Back to dragons, woohoo!

After reading that mess you probably made your preset.
Toss the files into the preset folder you want and go to the preset maker.
If you succeed it'll look something like this:

Rename the files to "preset_(numberhere)(bodyparthere)" if it didn't work.
Now to slap some horns on. Maybe some teeth!
Need some horns that AREN'T antlers?
BAM! Legendary Items!
http://www.deviantart.com/art/Legendary-Items-Pack-v4-3-Feral-Heart-648772566
After installing legendary items you may run into a... small problem.
And by small I mean massive.
You probably didn't go into the media folder inside the legendary items .zip file and only copy the items folder in the media folder!
Well, you probably already OWN Legendary Items if you're reading this.

Toss your preferred horns on and maybe a few extras.
BOOM! Instant Halani-ish dragon!

Here's Halani as a reference. She follows a slimmed-down build:

BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE!
"I wanna make a dragon without using a preset!"
I can teach you how to do that!
Well, let's do this.
The Diamondback markings are PERFECT for dragons, in my humble opinion.
No, seriously:

Lookin' good!

There are tons of other markings you can use.
Mix and match different markings and find a combo you like!
For underfur colors, always make sure the underfur is paler than the main pelt. It'll look much better!

There are all kinds of dragons.
Take, for example, the Monstrous Nightmare from How to Train your Dragon.
They are wyverns.
So how do you make a wyvern in FeralHeart?
Go find yourself a tutorial on how to make Invisible Limbs; I'm far too lazy to toss it in here, nor do I have the proper skill.
For wyverns, make the forelegs invisible rather than the hind quarter attachments. (That's fun to say.)
Boom, instant wyvern!
I don't have any images of a wyvern. Sorry~

But anyways..
Thanks for reading this entire thing! I hope this helps you out even though I have a somewhat angry tone.

Whoa, nice job here! I'm not a big fan of dragons myself, but this may be useful at some point! Thanks for making it!

Dragons are probably one of the most varied mythical animals out there, haha.
