Title: Crashing Mapmaker

(Accidentally posted this in the wrong spot the first time, oops...)
Prepare for some very broad questions, I truly don't know what I did.
So I used to be pretty savvy with mapmaker, 5+ years ago. I recently returned to poke around and was happy to see the game was still alive. I thought for old times' sake, I'd start making some maps again - but my mapmaker did not agree with me. My game now crashes the minute I pull up the mapmaker tool. The only thing I can think of that I might have done to bug it out is mess with one of the files in the media>terrains>default folder when I was trying to remember how mapmaking worked again (though I did revert that file back to its original state and it didn't fix anything).
What else should I check that might need fixing?

It's possible your temp.map file is either missing or has messed up settings.
