Wow! This is amazing. I had had ideas of this, and for items as well, but I didn't think it was actually possible!

Do ya think it could be possible with items too? Just a question owo

Oh my.
I've never seen anything like this.
I wonder how you got this idea of syncing folders to a server of some sort.
This mind blowing, the way I see it.

I'm pretty sure a lot of FH users will be pleased.

I followed every direction you've given me, and it seems to work so far.
Goodbye to the old "diggin' in the hay to find the needle."

Thank you!

---

~ Now to see if i'll be able to see presets in-game. ... Unfortunately.. i don't know anyone who has their presets uploaded. I'd be very interested if someone would let me know.

---

I've seen Red's and Bigbangtheory's presets on the FH Game server. Everything is working.

---
Question: I think one should leave the Bit-torrent Sync window online. Is that right?

All the fhp files are in the public presets folder. I shoved them into the presets folder. Should it work now?

Oh.. Raz, I have a question. What if people upload viruses? Like, they modify the fhp file to it act like a virus. What do we do in these situations?
Reply ASAP please. c:

its not possible to infect a machine via preset sync as the preset itself is a specific file type to fh and it can only open image files not executables that could potentially infect a system

While users linux support now exists, I have tested with an ubuntu variant. This executable may also work for mac's.

The initial setup is the is the same for windows.

First make a backup. This is now even more important, especially if you're a mac user, as I have no means of testing this new exe.

Download the new exe here and put in in the feralheart folder.

Now run the game and make sure it runs. You should also see the 3 Preset folders (detailed in the windows setup)

Next is the bittorrent sync setup.

Mac users; if the new exe works, setup is detailed here. This should overlap with the windows guide so use that as a reference.

Back to the linux users.

If you run Ubuntu/Debian or similar, there's a nice package you can install which is detailed here. Other linux users; The sync manual is here.

To assist in setup, I'll provide the relevant code for the shared folder. You will need to change the directory using your username and if your wine directory is non standard you must change that too.

Code: [Select]
  ,
  "shared_folders" :
  [
    {
      "secret" : "BTQI4TBSVH3KCDNQ7X6NU3QZVA55RD3IY",
      "dir" : "/home/YOUR_USER/.wine/drive_c/FeralHeart/PublicPresets",
      "use_relay_server" : true,
      "use_tracker" : true,
      "use_dht" : false,
      "search_lan" : true,
      "use_sync_trash" : false,
      "known_hosts" :
      [
        "presetsync.feral-heart.com:12345"
      ]
    }
  ]

This code goes just before the last "}" if your using the Ubuntu/Debian setup. If you're not using that you may need to loose the initial comma.

And you should be up and running.

Raz

I'm having a problem..How will I be able to put the irrKlang.dll in my computer..? (Still learning about comps eue)
