Some of you may be wondering why I have put this topic here, but I guess this is a reasonable place to put it so here goes...
I am very sad to report that one of my dear friends, and probably one of yours, has been a victim of a tragic accident. The very well-known and loved DarkPetal, sadly died in a fatal car accident exactly one week ago. She was the only passanger in the car with her mother, and they were both on the way to a swimming gala. It was around 7:00pm as the accident occurred, caused by a collision involving only two cars. One of the cars was being driven by someone that had been over the legal alchohol limit. DarkPetal was the only fatality, but the drink-driver is due to go to court. She will be dearly missed, and I only hope that she is up in heaven and happy. The funeral took place yesterday, there were a lot of tears and sadness as she was so young to leave all of us. Darky was funny, sweet and ready to help anyone in need, a great example to all of us. This may not happen often in the FeralHeart community, but all I know is that she will stay in many people's hearts, including mine, forever. :'(
I know exactly what she would say if she was with us right now:
"Don't cry because it is over;
Be happy because it happened."

Why?
Because it's so sad, and it makes me feel "blue."
I'm horribly sorry to hear DarkPetal died, and my best wishes go to her family, friends, etc. and I wish this hadn't happened.
There's actually a book about a child who's family is ruined by drink.
The main character's older sister dies from a party with many drunks.
The boy's (main character) grandmother dies from being hit by a person DUI.
His friend's dad beats his friend up because he's drunk all the time.
The poor kid's father's closest friend is shot in the head and killed over the last bottle of beer.
However, the moral of the book is:
Drinking, DUI, and basically all over-the-limit alcohol activity is dangerous and hurt's a person, and destroys them inside out.
In Darky's case, drink ruined her not directly, but...
Well...
Y'know.
We'll all mourn her passing, for sure...
I'm horribly sorry, again, for the pass of her life, and mourn along with you, her family, and friends.
Drink will be the death of mankind.

This is tragic news, and I'm very sad and sorry to hear this. DarkPetal and I roleplayed together a lot, and I must say she was a really wonderful roleplayer. My eyes tear up at the news of this - I will miss her due to the fact that she was a lovely girl with a good attitude. I will miss her and I hope she is alive and well in Heaven. But we should know that this was for a purpose; something good will happen out of this, and may her family be blessed and comforted in this situation. Love you, Darky <3

Thank you all for your kind words. It was a big shock for all of us, to think that the sweetest, brightest girl that I knew could just slip away so easily. I really appreciate your love, and I'm sure Darky does too <3 And yes, everything happens for a reason, so all of Darky's family and friends, including me, are trying to look on the bright side of things, we all know that she is in a safe, and happy place. And that beautiful song, CoffeeAddict, brought tears to my eyes.

Oh my gosh, this is just so upsetting. I didn't know her that well, but I have RPed with her and I know she is a very good person. This is why you should never drink. It proves what it does to others besides yourself. I'm so sad this happened, and I just put all my blessings on her family. I hope their hearts will heal. We'll miss you, DarkPetal.

This news has certainly brought me into utter shock. It's hard to believe something so tragic could happen to someone as sweet and cheerful as Darky. When she was still with us, I enjoyed seeing her around the forums. Now I regret that I hadn't gotten to know her better. Like you all, she will most certainly be in my thoughts/memories and I wish her the best of happiness and luck up there in a world beyond this. As well as her family, I can only hope that they'll make it through such a sorrowful event. Who knows, we might again see her one day beyond this realm years from now.

Oh- Oh my word.
I really don't even know what to say. This is truly a shock, and just such- tragic news. Wow. Darky was just such an amazing roleplayer and a kind, loving person around the forums. This just devastates me.
If I may, I'll be praying for peace for her friends and family in this time of hardship for them. I'm really at a loss of words right now, but I'd like to leave you with this:
Matthew 5:4:
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted
And one last thing:

Yeah, it may sound a little cliche, but I truly believe DarkPetal is up there in a far better place than this world could ever offer. Up where there's no pain or death or sadness, only the pure light of God Almighty, where she can spend eternity in overwhelming joy. So yeah of course it is a sad time for us all, but when you think about it through that lens, really we should rejoice that she is now free of this dying, corrupt world, you know? Death isn't "goodbye," It's "see you later." c':

I personally don't know Dark like you or most do, but I do feel like part of my family was just lost today since she was a big part of the Feral Heart forums. I shall pray for her family, and friends to be strong at this time of crisis in there lives at the moment. How sadden I feel to hear this news is just heart breaking. Poor thing was to young to leave us and I shall pray she rest in peace. As customary in my culture, we sing and laugh cause they wouldn't want us to be sad.

This is such sad news to hear. I'm sorry for your loss and I'm sorry to hear that it was one of our beloved members of the community. I didn't know her very well, but I remember seeing some of her posts here and there on the forum. It's so sad to hear that she passed in such an untimely way. Drinking and driving affects so many people and claims so many lives. Even I have lost family and friends because someone who had been drinking crashed into them or ran them over. It's terrible, and it could have been prevented.
My thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends. May you rest in peace, DarkPetal.

I can't believe this happened. I'm saddened that I haven't got to knew DarkPetal more. She was a terrific roleplayer, and I remember roleplaying side-by-side with her. I hope she rests in peace, and that we may all meet with her some day.

How could I have missed this? I hope she wasn't in pain for long in the accident! I wish I knew her more, but I know she must have been a wonderful person. Gosh, why was drinking even invented?!?
I hope she feels heaven, and I'm sorry for your lose... or loss? Anyway, I truly hope her family are okay soon, since it's sad to see even a life go like that, one life. You only live one life, too... I'm probably darkening the mood.

I am so sad to hear that. I used to see her around the forums from time to time. And as I was reading this I felt this sadness inside. Knowing she is gone and I won't see her online status anymore.
She was a wonderful floof, and I cannot believe what I just read through. I don't know if I should pinch myself, because I keep thinking that this hasn't happened. I just can't believe she is gone. This is coming to me now, that we will never be able to talk to each other again.
I hope she rests in peace and I hope she looks down and remembers us, because I'm sure I will forever keep her in my heart. R.I.P DarkPetal.

To those who knew DarkPetal I send my condolences. I feel like I've missed out on meeting a wonderful person, and I regret not walking up and talking with her when I would see her user bobbing about In-game. Many who didn't know her probably feel the same.
I can say this though, where she is now is a place of paradise, where there aren't drugs, or violence, or pain, or accidents. And so to those who knew her, greave, but remember the happy times you shared, the memories. Celebrate life and all that it is worth. I can only guess that, that is what DarkPetal would want.~

The new is tragic and I'm truly heart broken, although I didn't really 'Speak' to Darky I was in many role-plays with her and she seemed to always be helping people in need. One persons stupid actions has ended the life of a young, beautiful girl; I don't see why people can't see sense and realise they're putting people in danger by drink driving. Darky was so young and loved by everyone, why her? Why would he do that the risk others lives?
Although I must admit she's in a better place now, a place of joy and love, instead of this world that has many idiots! I hope she's happy in the clouds dancing with Jesus and looking down on ya'll; I know she probably doesn't want us to cry but..its something that can't be helped!
I'll miss you Darky and will never forget you, a great member of the FeralHeart community who will be greatly missed. I love you Darky! <3

Although I didn't know Darky to well, the few months I spend role-playing was great, and its hard for me to cry but you know what? I am now. Its hard to know someone so young and of such a good example to all has gone, I'll love and miss you Darky! :'(????

I abandoned my cyan color for this brown because this sudden death of Darky has shocked me. She was young and it seems like we both had soo much in common. I hate to see that empty spot in the role-plays. We won't read her posts anymore, she will not share her opinions on FH anymore, and those role-plays will have to trudge on without her as the pain is slowly dealt with.
I am saddened to realize that she is gone and I try to think that she is still among us, but it's hard to see all those signatures with the words engraved, burnt into the screen. "In loving Memory" and "R.I.P Darky".
It's just so much a person can take, and this is truly sad. I have not ever thought that a member of FH could lose their life so suddenly. I never really had come to such a surprise in my life. Although I dealt with many deaths. This one is surely making me cry right now.... I wish she didn't have to die </3

I know we all feel angry at the driver for drink driving and causing death. But if you wish for him to die, then that is another life lost. Personally I think he should rot in prison... so he knows what he has caused. R.I.P </3 Darky

This truly makes me sad. The music is so sad and slow... It makes me want to cry.
She didn't deserve to die. No one does but humans are cruel. They don't follow laws and lives are lost. We can't change the past and that's what hurts most of us. We want to re live some of those happy moments and erase the sad ones. It's too hard to move on from a sudden death, especially if we knew her very well. All I can say is that someday the pain will fade, but for now we shed our tears in memory of her...

I keep listening to that music...it keeps making me have tears in my eyes. I- I can't, it really does hurt knowing she's gone. I may have not been a really close friend but I used to role-play with her. And knowing that the person that always made it better, is no longer with us, makes it so much harder to go on Feral Heart. I was going to vote her for MOTS this season but she...won't be able to take part anymore.
But believe me, I'll still nominate her, because she has helped so much and now that she's gone, we notice the big hole in this community.

That is the most amazing song that fits this tragedy. This song truly made me cry. Even though I didn't know her in Real life, I do miss her a lot. We lost an amazing family member of the Feral Heart community. And the heaven does really cry. It was raining for 3 days now since I found out she has died.
She left her mum and dad and her little brother on earth grieving for the death of her. She was too young to die. Why was it her? Why did her younger brother have to witness such a cruel death... He had to see her coffin being lowered in to the grave...
I have tears in my eyes as I write this, because I keep realizing that she's no longer here. What a rainy end to a perfect life.. R.I.P Darky

Known by more or less, they were still a part of the FeralHeart community and therefore we all will think twice about their name and this accident. My thoughts and love is being sent to Darky's family and I hope they'll pull on through this event.
I'm sure like many others that Darky will be missed by many players around FeralHeart, and they will be happy to say that they were a great friend to those who were close to them.

I certainly think that she is happy now and she wants us to be happy too. Our tears will fall, but it will get better in time. Those happy moments and happy memories will forever stay with us, even if Darky isn't here with us.
