"Now let us unite. And put our antlers to the sun!"

Many, many years ago, a herd of mystical deer were formed. The herd was filled with magical deer, and was ruled by a powerful, graceful Irish Elk named Asim. Asim had two sons, Ganges and Balkan. The two fawns possessed amazing powers, and by the time they were a year old, their powers almost surpassed their fathers. When they grew up, they had majestic antlers, and muscles that flexed with every step. But when Asim grew sick and died, the two sons argued who got his throne. They turned to the herd, trying to convince them to make them leader. Ganges promised a beautiful life with peace and happiness. Balkan offered power, and strength in numbers. The herds were split down the middle. Balkan and Ganges clashed their powerful antlers, but the fight lasted. Finally, Balkan gathered his followers, and they launched an attack on Ganges and his followers. But Ganges won, and banished Balkan and all of his followers to the Dark Forest.
Balkan and his followers now live in the Dark Forest, most of them walking alone. Most of Balkan's followers have dark magic, with dark grey, brown or black coloration to blend in with the Dark forest.
Ganges, on the other hoof, let his loyal followers stay in the Meadow of Color, named for the many flowers that color the landscape. The deer had a wide variety of powers, and even there colorations were of wide variety.
Now, many, many years after Ganges and Balkan, the World is falling into chaos. Wolves, bears, and other predators are lurking, and deer are turning up dead. But most importantly..

A murderer is on the loose...

 Powers and Abilities

Most deer have one main power and one sub power. Their main power is the power they inherit the night they are born. They use this power most often. The sub power is a power that the deer practices, but has not inherited ex. A deer's main power is fire, but their sub power is Wind. The deer has inherited Fire, but wishes to practice and master Wind.

The Flame
Inheriting the Power of the Flame allows the owner to receive power of fire. Though one of the most powerful, it is also the most deadliest. The Flame allows the user to set any flammable material on fire, shoot fireballs from their mouths or hooves, and even keep the fire inside, but make their antlers or hooves unbearably hot. They also have heightened senses, allowing them to see or hear better than deer with other powers. Even though it may seem like an awesome power, The Flame takes the longest to perfect, and can easily backfire in the owners face, resulting in burns, scars, and (Asim forbid) death.

Water
Inheriting the power of Water allows the receiver to bend water. Most of the deer with Water powers are calm, and often times day dream. But, like the river, they can get wild should they be upset. Any deer with the power of water can spray water from their mouth or hooves, they can easily fit into small spaces with little trouble, and they can swim better than any other deer. Although this power may interest some, some deer with heightened senses have gone mad, claiming they could hear voices talking about them and that they can always see wolves or cougars despite the area being safe.

Wind
The Wind is the most fascinating of powers. Most deer who inherit the wind have one of the best abilities: To hover aboveground. They are not able to fly, and only deer who live in a cave in the mountains and train everyday will be able to fly more than 3 ft off the ground. Despite being able to hover, Wind Deer can run faster and leap higher than any other deer. This is a problem though, as the deer move so fast they aren't able to see the tree or boulder in front of them.

Earth
The powers of Earth are the most 'natural'. These deer are able to grow grass and trees, and also communicate with them. They can sprout trees from the ground at their command, make boulders appear out of no where, and camouflage with the trees or rocks better than any other deer.

Darkness
Darkness is one of the most evil of powers. It is extremely rare, and Deer with the power of Darkness are said to be cursed. Some deer are able to be telekinetic, able to read other animals minds if they can. They can see and communicate with the dead. This power has drove deer mad, as they claim they have been haunted by ghosts and spirits of their past.

Telepathy - Those who have this power will be able to communicate with others through different ways other than words and speech. Almost like they're able to speak to one by getting in to their heads. And if their power is on the stronger side, they're able to read ones mind.

Precognition - This power is mainly controlled by older, wiser deer such as elders or shamans. They can tell the future of one, they'd be able to see danger and such coming. Unless the power of the darkness is to strong, or another causes their visions to fuzz and mess up.

Mind Control - This is a very limited power and one for the only most experienced deers. They'll be able to control ones mind and make them say/do things in an attempt to make a situation better or worse. Could clash with another power to form a weakness.

About the Land, and deer that inhabit it

The Land is the place the deer live in. The majority of the deer have special powers they inherit the night they were born. The deer currently live in two separate herds, the Meadow Herd and Forest Herd. The Meadow name, hence the name, live in fields and fields of open, wild grasses and flowers. The Majority of the Meadow herd deer are descendants of the followers of Ganges. The Forest herd, on the other hand, lives mostly in the wooded areas. Most of them are descendants of Balkan and his followers.
Regardless of where they live, the deer usually live in small clusters made up of family or close friends. These clusters are called Family-Clusters and are usually ruled by the Over-Stag, whom is almost always the father or grandfather. Whenever the Over-Stag of a family-cluster dies or is too sick or injured to watch over the family, his oldest son shall start watching the herd, and become Over-Stag. Should he not have a son or grandson fit to rule the family, he will usually choose one of his brothers. But, should he not have any brothers, a doe will rule the Family-Cluster until a buck is fit to rule the family.
At the start of every season, Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter, the two herds gather together to celebrate the end of the season, and the start of the new season. This celebration includes feasting, a speech from the two rulers of the herds, fireworks from the Fire Deer, and, of course, deer having a good time. All deer are invited and welcome to the festival. When the festival is over, the two rulers of the herd will give a fare-well speech, and the deer go back to their normal lives.

Ranks of the Herds.

Both herds have ranks. Some are different, but most are the same. Here are the ranks below, and their description.

Leader of the Herd - The leader of the herd rules over the entire herd, and it supreme. They guide the herd through hard times, lead them into battle, and give speeches at the Season Festival. (1/2 taken)

Leader's Mate - The Leader's Mate, also known as the Queen of the Herd, usually befriends the deer of the herd. She is sometimes so popular with the deer, they sometimes come to her for advise, rather than the Leader of the Herd. They also bear the sons and daughters of the Leader, one of the sons will soon become the Leader of the herd. (1/2 Taken)

Prince of the Herd - The Prince is the son of the Leader of the herd and the Leader's mate. The oldest Prince is destined to become the Leader of the Herd when his father grows too weak, too old, or too sick/injured to rule. When he becomes ruler, he is too chose a doe to rule beside him. There can be up to three Princes (0/6 Taken)

Princess of the Herd - The Princess is the daughter of the Leader of the Herd and his mate. The Princess is not in line for the throne, but are still treated kindly. There can be up to three Princesses in each herd. (0/6 Taken)

Under-Stag - The Under-Stag is basically second in command. They advise the leader, take over if the leader if too sick or injured to rule, and if the leader dies, they will become leader of the herd. (0/2 taken)

Medic - The medics are first on the scene should a deer get injured or sick. They are mostly Earth deer, but there have been Medics with Water, Air, and even Fire powers. These deer know all herbal remedies, and have basic knowledge on communicating with the dead. There are three for each herd. (0/3 taken)

Shamans - Shamans are the link between the living and dead. Most Shamans have Darkness powers, but there has the odd deer with a different power. Not only do Shamans communicate with the dead, but they also use their magic to solve minor problems. There are 2 in each herd. (1/4 taken)

Commanders - The Commanders of the Herd regulate and train the deer should there be a battle. They train warriors, and also give advice for battle to the Leader. There are four Commanders for each herd (0/8 taken)

Messangers - These are usually the fastest, lightest deer in the herd. The messangers take messages between herds and herd members. Most of them have Air Powers, to aid in their messaging. There are three in each herd (0/6 Taken)

Caretaker - Caretakers are the deer responsible for various errands in the herd. They watch over fawns should their parents be away, and also care for the sick and elderly. They are mostly referred to as the Fawn-Sitters, as they will watch over the fawns and entertain them if needed.

Normal Deer - These are just the average buck and doe. These include Family Clusters. Normal deer, with enough training, are eligible to come Medics, Commanders, or Messengers should the opportunity arise.

"I am the at the greatest I will ever be."

Tma
[ty-ma; Slovak for Darkness]

Four years of age
Male || Buck
Rare variation if Piebald deer; notice picture
No mate
No apparent offspring
Affiliates with the Meadow Herd as a Commander
He has no keen memory of anyone but his now-deceased brother.
Eight by eight.
Tma wields both the main power of darkness and the subpower of wind; though he commonly used his main one.
Tma's stature is that if an old hermit, to say the least. Despite the bitterness he holds, he is a rather caring individual who enjoys helping those who need it the most.
There are no known accounts of Tma discussing his past, though being a wielder of darkness, he shows the signs of a sort of PTSD.

Yaay!
Also can I like suggest a few ranks?

Ideas:

- Shaman
Deer who specialize in spirituality. They are usually seen as the spiritual link between the mortal and the immortal worlds. Many shamans are deer who have the power of Darkness, since some deer have the ability to see the dead. Shamans are often responsible for using mysticism and magic to solve problems and also to practice divination and meditation to receive messages from the beyond.

- Caretaker
Caretakers assist with various things in the herd. They are responsible for protecting fawns from danger if a parent is away, and they are also responsible for taking care of or watching over injured, disabled, or elderly members. They are like babysitters in the aspect where they watch over the fawns and entertain them if they are bored.

- Advisor
Advisors are usually elderly or respected individuals who have been apart of the herd for a long time. They offer their counsel to all members of the herd and they are usually very wise. They are in charge of teaching young members of the herd about the land and beliefs of the herd and ect. They typically teach other deer about the land, about the territory and also how to survive.
(They could be able to control all powers so they can teach others how to work their powers?)

I also have a few suggestions on powers before I make my application, I hope you don't mind me suggesting them?

Telepathy - those who have this power will be able to communicate with others through different ways other than words and speech. Almost like they're able to speak to one by getting in to their heads. And if their power is on the stronger side, they're able to read ones mind.

Precognition - this could possibly be given to the older ranks, seeing as they're the more wise and such, or possibly the shaman. They can tell the future of one, they'd be able to see danger and such coming. Unless the power of the darkness is to strong, or anothers causes their visions to fuzz and mess up.

Mind Control - this could be a limited power, and one for the only most experienced deers. They'll be able to control ones mind and make them say/do things in an attempt to make a situation better or worse. Could clash with another power to form a weakness.

Precognition - giving one the ability to see in to the future. This is a lot like telepathy however, with this power you're able to see what could happen within the next few seconds other than the next few years. However, some powers may limit this ability for some.

"Happiness is when what you think, what you do, and what you say are in harmony."

Name; Fern
Age; Five years old [5]
Gender; Female, Doe.
What type of Deer; Whitetail deer.

Mate; None, at the moment. Subject to change.
Offspring; None, although she wishes to have some in the future.
Herd; New member of the Meadow Herd, formerly Forest Herd.
Family; She was abandoned as a fawn.

Personality; Not someone to be taken seriously, Fern is full of laughter and jokes. Her lips are almost always pulled up in a smile and her sarcasm is never far away. With her being very optimistic, her lack of seriousness can switch off immediately if in times of trouble. Her playful attitude towards conflict can be seen as annoying, but her talent for combat is not something that should be underestimated.

"I am strong, because I've been weak. I am fearless, because I've been afraid. And I am wise because I've been foolish."

Name: Sienna
Age: 5 Years
Gender: Cow
What type of Deer: Rocky Mountain Elk

Mate: Subject to change.
Offspring: None at the moment.
Herd: Meadow Herd, rank of Queen.
Family: None at the moment.

Powers:
Precognition
She is able to see what is going to happen in the near future, whether it be a few seconds away, or around a year away. She is able to see it. This gives her the ability to stop one running in to the wrong path, or doing something bad if her visions are precise and she is able to do so in time. It has rook her many years to master this power, which means it now comes naturally to her and there seems to be no way in which she is able to block it out.

Earth
She is able to summon mostly anything to do with nature. This power gives her the ability to communicate with trees, boulders, flowers and even the odd animal on occasions. Although this isn't her first power, this is one she has more control over. Having this power allows her to summon boulders from anywhere, cause grass to grow, trees and even vines. This power can be used to her advantage, even if it isn't the most 'fancy' one there is, she has her ways.

Sub Powers:
Telepathy
This is one of her less used powers, however one of her more powerful ones. As she is able to see in to the future, she is able to see what is going to happen. Therefore, being able to get in to ones mind and being able to talk them out of things is only something she'll do in a serious situation. This is one of her more mastered powers, but it pushed towards the back of her head often. This power will allow her to communicate with one if they're a distance apart. She is able to hear them speak, although they won't have this power, she can still communicate with them. Got this from her mother.

Mind Control
This is a power which was passed on from her father. Even though she is aware she has this power, she is also somewhat unaware. Like her father, she's able to master this power immediately, and what she can do with it is very effective. She can stop one or make one do this, unless something prevents her from controlling ones mind. With all her powers, something acts as a weakness which prevents her from using the power. This power also is only used unless it is needed.

Her sub-powers are powers which have been passed on through generations of her family. Being more of a 'Royal' member gives her the ability to have more than two powers. However, the sub-powers aren't used unless needed. Her main powers are ones which she has mastered herself and uses on a regular basis.

Personality: Sienna is a rather laid back deer, who doesn't often show her angered side too much. She's always willing to help one out should they seek her for advice/help on anything. A great listener she is. Although she comes across as very wise and sensible, she can also come across as relatively playful towards younger members of the herd, but very caring towards all. However, despite her relaxed side, Sienna can be rather stern towards most, and rather dominant at that. She is no push over, and will stand up for herself, the herd and what she believes in. Don't let her fool you. Si isn't afraid to hold her ground, showing her more stubborn side. and she isn't afraid to show her more angered side when the time is right. Sienna has a good sense of humour, and doesn't seem to take things too seriously, unless need be. A true loyal and protective member of the herd.
History: Will be added as the roleplay progresses.

(I hope you don't mind that I used this from an rp which I was in a long time ago. If you're wishing to wait until a Queen is selected, I'm more than happy to change my rank.
Also, I was wondering if it was ok that I have more than 2 powers? Just with her being of a higher rank, like your character, I assumed it'd be alright. Of course if not I'd be more than happy to change it.

Sienna

"I am strong, because I've been weak. I am fearless, because I've been afraid. And I am wise because I've been foolish."

The cow had woke from her slumber not too long a go, a bad dream seeming to be the cause. Although, the Queen knew this wasn't one of her visions, as they'd come regularly, and she'd had them for years. Her powers seeming to drown out the worst of it, she'd still receive the short nightmares. One which she remembered as being chased through the forest, by something she couldn't make out. This thing was powerful, and would often target her. Yellow glowing eyes, dark coated and horrid grey antlers. However, something was strange about this creature. It was faceless. These nightmares weren't anything of the unordinary, and Sienna had been use to them for quite some time. Sienna would simply push the dreams aside, though, seeing as they weren't too important, and just her imagination running wild. When would there ever be dark pelted, faceless deer running around the forest? Never. She knew she was safe, and the herd was too. Despite her ability to stop these dreams, she'd let them run. Scenarios and scenery of the forest would often change, as well as some things being added or taken away. She was yet to get to the end of this dream, and was reluctant to officially brush it aside until this time came.

Slowly peeling her lids apart, the lass would remain silent, casting her gaze over the floor of the meadow. It appeared to be early hours, and everything seemed relatively quiet, apart from the creatures which would stir in their slumbers. Allowing a smile to curl at her lips, Sienna would gently pull her legs from under her, and push her heavy frame off of the ground. Quickly regaining her hoofing, before taking a few strides forward. To prevent herself from injuring her legs, the Queen would walk in small circles, pacing back and forth quietly and slowly, stretching out her long, slender yet strong legs. The tightness in her legs had now vanished, and the small walk had woken her up a lot more than she had previously been. Flicking her ears out, the female elk would cast her gaze over the lands once more. The grass was still, barely a breeze blew through it, now did anything stalk through the long shreds. The trees didn't seem to sway either, but the birds had begun their usual morning song. Singing the herd awake with their soft, mellow tunes of the morning. Getting louder as the sky grew lighter. The sky would cast a pink ish glow across the meadow, making everything look a lot more beautiful. It was always a beautiful site early in the mornings. And very peaceful indeed.

Taking more quiet steps forward, Sienna would soon stop once more. Puffing out her chest, the Queen would cast her chocolate gaze over the herd whom rested near by. Contempt looks on their faces, this bringing a smile to hers. It was always nice to be the first awake. As she assumed anyways. This time of day was most peaceful, and the only time which allowed her to put her powers to rest. Her energy needing to be saved for when the members, and the foal/fawns woke. Turning her attention on to the distant lands, she'd simply nod her head in satisfaction at its sheer beauty. This free time allowed her freedom and relaxation, and she'd abuse these advantages. Craning her neck, the higher rank would keep her dominant stance, whilst devouring the long, tasty shreds which tickled at her legs. Her small, stumped tail flicking out behind her as she went with her morning graze.

Marching out of time, to my own beat, now.

Seir (pronounced: Sayur)

 2 Years | Buck
Piebald Whitetail Deer

Mate: None- subject to change
Offspring: none
Herd: Meadow Herd
Rank: Messenger
Family:
 Does not know biological parents

Antler size:
 3x3 *Self conscious huff*

Personality:
Seir is a very playful, care-free young male. His favorite past times are fooling around and exploring. While he still behaves immaturely for the most part, when it comes to herd life and his duty as a messenger, he can get serious very quickly. Being only fresh out of yearling-hood, Seir is a child a heart. Trouble is always quick to follow him, as he has quite a curious nose which often leads to mischief. Despite his flaws as a silly, sometimes immature buck, he has a very big heart, and hates to see injustice or others in pain. He's still a bit of a loose cannon, and a diligent, yet easily distracted mind. He works hard, with great determination, to gain full control of his powers. Though he was born with it, fire is one he actually struggles with the most- and his mishaps during his self-taught training often leads to burnt fur and irritated herd-members.

History:
Much of Seir's history is a mystery, even to himself. As a mere fawn, he was found by his current herd alone in the woods with no signs of any other deer near him. He considers the Meadow herd to be his family, as he has known little else.

Powers:
Seir inherited the power over flame. Currently, he only has a full grasp on heating his extremities and creating your occasional fire ball with his hooves. He works constantly, and is very tough on himself to master this naturally gifted ability.

His secondary power is air. This one is easily obvious due to his swift and speedy nature. He has not yet worked much with this power, other than using it to make swift getaways. At the moment, it is more of a tool to show off his speed and agility to his peers. He is focusing at the moment on fire.

He lie, basking in the rays of the morning hours, it seemed to be a chore for the Forgotten Prince. One snort seemed to cause the avian neighbors to flutter away, leaving branches to quiver once their one time master left. As brown eyes gazed at the pale sky, another snort was let go from the Forgotten Prince's shaky lungs. Containing nature was never on his to-do list, nor was it ever anything he thought about; but it seemed everything unfolded once he showed an ounce of life. The creeps and the crawlers ceased their slumbers and began to search for their morning meals, both prey and predator in their morning balance.

Lifting himself from his bed of trampled weeds and dirt, the Forgotten Prince took a breath, ridding all stress from last eventide. He poised his antlers high and puffed his chest, who was he to be tired and wore out? He was a Commander. He did not take the position of Commander lightly, his brother had told him when they are young fawns, that he was better than his illness and what it made him out to be. However, being his brother was now deceased, this would shroud his mind and cause him to slip. The Forgotten Prince shook his head, he shan't be consumed in the early morn with little things like that, he paced towards the eastern side of the meadow; a soothing and plentiful grazing spot. Perhaps a breakfast would make this day a good one.

Chomp, chomp. Moist and succulent, every bite of the dew covered grass brought the Forgotten Prince energy. Duo ears flickered and stood straight, someone had joined alongside he. Outstretching his long neck, his eyes grazed the meadow in search of the interloper. Eyelids fluttered at the sight of the dark maiden that held the position of the Shaman.

He snorted, "Good morning, my lady," All formalities aside, he was incredibly kind to any lass; whether they are young or old. He was raised with politeness and manners, and that was all he knew. The seldom grin creased his hard face as he bent down to continue eating.

Spring trotted through the dew covered forest, well away from the other herds. She scrapes her spires against a large oak tree, showing a sign of temporary dominance over a small part of the forest. She wanted to be alone, away from any contact with other deer. She laid down in a brush, closing her eyes and sleeping

Sienna

"I am strong, because I've been weak. I am fearless, because I've been afraid. And I am wise because I've been foolish."

The Queen would remain quiet, her neck craned as she picked at the long blades, her lips quivering slightly in order to help her grasp the small pieces better. Grass around the meadows had always been luscious and plentiful, in her opinion a lot better than other areas. Not only did they have a wide variety of grass, the were also able to choose from several different plants, which in her case was a bonus. With nothing too interesting seeming to happen in the herds lands, Sienna had no need in to wake the others, nor really patrol the area for that matter. If something was to happen, she'd be able to see, unless something happened to block her visions that is. As earlier, the only sound was of that of the near by trees swaying in the distance, the slowly rising sun casting an orange glow on to the large, green leaves, and the small stream near by seemed to continuously pass plentiful refreshing water through the large meadows. Pawing at the ground, the dominant Elk would pick her head up, glancing behind her at the resting herd, few members seeming to stray off without a greeting, nor a morning to their dearest Queen. Letting out a soft grunt, a faint smile seemed to form at her rounded mouth as she gave her head a gentle shake. Watching few of the members wonder off, she'd close her eyes "Morning, dears." she'd speak softly, her power of telepathy allowing her to get in to ones mind, a gift which was passed on from her mother dear. Weather she was able to get to them or not wouldn't be guaranteed until she got some sort of a response back. Allowing her rounded ears to remain erect, she'd await the others response.

However, in the meantime, the Queen had set off on a small walk around the meadow. But not a usual one. Pawing at the ground gently, the Elk would soon rear up, gently slamming her hooves on to the ground. Suddenly, the ground would shake gently, before a thick, stair like tree trunk allowed the cow to make her way up and in to the air. Swinging her head to and fro, the graceful creature would quietly and carefully make her way up the stairs, which slowly vanished one the step had served its purpose. Bobbing her head up and down, Sienna would soon come to the top of the so called staircase, now rather high in the air she was able to overlook all of the meadow, and just a small proportion of the further lands. Taking in the new, fresh scents, the dominant would flick out her stumped tail as she slowly trotted across the tree trunk like ground. With each step, a few more inches would be added on, and the bark behind would slowly vanish. With every step, leaves would slowly fall from the beautifully decorated trunks, dropping on to the ground below.

Jupiter

"Do not watch the clock. But instead, copy it, keep going and never stop.

Jupiter awoke slowly. Today was the start of a new day. He stood up and looked around. He was at the edge of the meadow, in his little lean-to den. Sienna was already up and about. Jupiter trotted onto the meadow, and onto a large rock over looking it. He gazed onto the meadow. Some of the families were awake already, while some decided to sleep in. Jupiter then heard whispering, and turned around. The wind was whispering about blood and death. Jupiter pricked his ears and whispered, "What?"
"Blood..Murder... In the Southern fields..." The wind whispered. Jupiter's eyes widened. A murder in the Southern fields?! The Southern Fields was far from here, but if he ran fast without stopping, he could make it in minutes. Jupiter looked around for Sienna, soon finding her. She was up high in the air, a tree providing her support as she walked around. Jupiter wondered if she could have seen it. Jupiter closed his eyes and felt the ground rise below him. A tree almost similar to his mates carried him up.
"Sienna!" Jupiter called to his mate. His tree joined with hers and he walked over to her. He whispered in her ear,
 "There has been a murder.."
