Title: Spar/gore rp tips

Hey hey friends!

So I've been getting myself into more serious and fun groups as of August but like many rps before, there's two things I've never been good at because I've always been too nervous to practice. Those things, as you probably could tell from the subject, are battle/spar and gorey rps!
I'm getting more comfortable and confident with my advanced rps though I've still got much more to learn, but I really want to tackle the biggest obstacle I've faced since I started rping head on. So, I thought who better to reach out to than the amazing community that's given me all these literary opportunities?

What I'm mainly asking for is advice on terms to use, areas of attack that are fair, things I need to take into consideration, and simply just how I can play rough without any power playing. Though I'm definitely not opposed to one on one conversation, demonstrations, and rp practice either!

I’m not so sure if the help section is a place to put this topic, but I learned how to I guess ‘properly’ RP is through reading books or fan fiction. Also watching other people helps. It’s a learning process you only really get to do through experience. In my personal opinion

research animals/people and fighting techniques they either use or behaviors in fighting

anatomy charts help out as well
learning what hurts and what doesnt
what an animal might know to aim for and what they might not
