I've been thinking about activity in game quite a bit and I actually want to try and create some sort of statistic/graph of game activity with the hope that it might provide feedback and insight on what the casual player does in game, and/or how often they manage to get online. Feral Heart activity has been a bit of a hot topic and one that's debated frequently, my hope with this is to provide clearer answers and at least try to see what people would like to see more in FeralHeart and what could bring them back on. The survey will cover game activity. Forum activity can be displayed here under 'stats' so I don't think it would really apply greatly to this survey.

RESULTS - MARCH 1ST
Hello guys! I was going to wait a bit longer on getting results, but I thought now would've been a better time as any and I think I've been really successful in getting the feedback I need. Not only have I posted this survey here, but I've posted it other discord servers that house both active and inactive FH players, I've a total of 70+ results! Which is roughly 50% of Feral Heart's population at the moment (if my math is correct)
I want to thank everyone for taking a bit of time out of the day to answer the questions and to give me your honest feedback. It gives me hope to find clearer answers as well as a better understanding of things.
With that said- Let's get to the results !
A lot of you guys had a lot of similar answers, so it wasn't too hard to put this information into these graphs. If there was roughly over 3 of the same answers, it would be it's own category. So a few smaller answers may not have made it in, or put into another stat that's in a similar vein of another one. Not to mention, it would be far too complicated of a graph. And I also ended up not making a graph for the timezone question, as I found it wasn't too relevant to some of the results. If you guys want the timezone graph, please let me know and I'll gladly put one out (spoiler, lots of yalls are from EST).

Now, I wasn't too surprised by some of these results. A lot of them make sense and I fully expected some of these answers from the community. Now, this all wasn't done or posted to at all flame FH's current status or exaggerate anything further. We all are aware things are at a stand-still and for the most part, we all want to try and ensure Feral Heart has an easier survival. I only hope for this to produce healthy discussion and awareness. There is no public stat of what things are like in game, we have forum stats, but everyone can view that and I want to hear from the whole of the community, not just the people who actively use the forum.
With that in mind. I hope for any and all discussion that takes place to be respectful and to consider a different outlook. Either from this or someone else who may post on this thread.

Thank you all for the feedback thus far! I'm getting a lot of results. I'll start to make individual stats hopefully next week(?) and share my results relatively soon. If you could, sharing this around to friends would be excellent, I want all the feedback I can get <3

I honestly do not have the amount of motivation as lil 13 year old me had to get on online every day and just sit around waiting for a friend to get on.
I only really get on when I have nothing else to do or if I'm doing some heavy college work, its nice to have it in the background and just check back now and then for any interesting conversations.
I do try to start conversations myself, usually I'm successful. But even still, it doesn't have the charm it used to. It did when I first came back, but now its slowly faded. Not to say I'll stop playing, but it won't be as religiously as I used to.

Not to double post, but it really is. Initially when I only got feedback from the forum, daily activity dominated the poll which stuck out considering the status of how things are. Which somewhat ties into the result of "What would entice you to come online more?", a lot of what I got was about community activity. Game updates certainly tie into it, but some of the personal answers I received talked about approach-ability. I think this is telling that while yes we're a community, we might be just too tightly-knit to newcomers or even returning players. While there is a grander scale of things that FH can improve upon (like updates and management, which management only came up thrice), I hope this maybe opens the community's eyes about how they interact with one another. Just wanted to share my thoughts and see if anyone else agreed or disagree with where I come from.

Thank you for this!! I sumbitted mine too late but nice to know there's a lot of other EST people. It bothers me so many people want updates more often though. Coding, content creation, etc takes time to make, program, implement, it doesn't just come out of thin air. Plus with drama, staff issues, the whole thing is at times just a stand still mess. Please don't blame those who are trying their best and doing what they can when others are causing roadblocks.

^ Same ngl.. I'm not sure if this would be too much work, but there could be more of those tests regularly? Say, monthly or every other month. Since we have other users returning, and the community can use the feedback from this one as a 'kickstart', that would be useful to track what is going on with the game, lol.

I don't know if doing it monthly would really work well on a statistic-level and for me personally. The survey will remain open for a while longer but mostly as an outlet for people to give their honest feedback anonymously, and while my term as a MOTS is coming to an end, I'll find ways to either voice them or at least share the responses to the staff. Not to say returning player's opinions and thoughts aren't valuable, they absolutely are, but it would only seem appropriate to do another one of these surveys if the average server population fluctuates in the next year or so. We'll see what happens.

Oop, alright. Yeah, I can see how that would be an issue, which was why it was just a suggestion. But yeah, it'd be interesting to host more of those if the game's 'population' went up.
