Leaving / Time to Bounce~

Short and brief because goodbyes are never my forte, but the time has come for this lil' pirate to jump ship and saunter on to other things in life.

FeralHeart will forever hold a special place in my heart, but sadly my interests and priorities have turned elsewhere. I'll still be around my other usual places if you ever care to reach out - discord, tumblr, deviantart and the like. But I'm stepping down, and won't be around here any longer.

I'm very excited for all the good things coming your guys' way.

It's been almost a year since I've actively been on here. In that time I've been working, both in the actual work sense, and the getting-my-life-together sense. I can honestly say I've missed the faces and the community on here, along with the game itself. Now that I've got things in order, I'm looking forward to being able to spend more time around here, chatting and the like.

It's good to be back.

Miscellaneous Tutorials / Dealing with Login Tab Troubles

Feralheart Login Tab Problems


At one point or another, we’ve all had an encounter with login tab troubles, whether it be personally or through helping somebody else. This will hopefully be a little place to find a few of the more common solutions to tussling with the login.


”No Proxies Here”

If you are receiving the ‘No Proxies Here’ message after logging into the tab, there’s a few fixes.



For Chrome:
Go to the three dots in the upper right corner.



Click the “Settings” option. The settings tab should open up. Scroll down until you see “Show advanced settings”.



Click “Change Proxy Settings”.



Go into the Proxy Settings tab.

Then uncheck ‘Use a proxy server for this connection’.

Click ‘ok’. You should be set to go!




For Firefox:
Click on the three bars up in the corner, then select ‘Options’.



The settings tab should pop up. Click on ‘Advanced’.



Click on ‘Network’, then ‘Settings’.



Click on the ‘No Proxy’ option, then click ‘Ok’.



You should be good to go with Firefox.


Still saying ‘No Proxies Here’?

Go to your computer’s Control Panel, through the start menu.
Go into ‘Network and Internet’.
Go into ‘Internet Options’.
Click the ‘Connections’ tab.
Click on LAN Settings.
Make sure ‘Use a proxy server for your LAN’ is unchecked.


The Login Page Refreshes (As if you did not type anything in)

1.Triple-check you are spelling your username + password correctly.
If you are incorrectly typing in either your username or password, the page will refresh as if you hadn’t typed anything in. If you have recently changed your username and/or password, make sure that you are putting the correct username/password in.

2. Switch Browsers
If you are using Firefox, try using Google Chrome, and vice-versa.

3. Clear your history/cookies.
Exit out of Feralheart, clear your history, and delete your cookies.

4. Wait it out
Sometimes, it’s just best to wait for a few hours before trying to log back in.


The page only takes me to a black screen with a few words, and won’t let me play.

You simply need to download the game.
The login page itself does not lead to the game after you in. It is merely what connects you to the game’s server. You must download the game HERE, and keep the login page open the entire time you play.


I’m able to log in and connect to the server, but the tab logs me out after a bit.

Try using a page refresher.
http://www.refreshthis.com/ is a reliable page refresher. It should help keep the tab under control.

Do not delete your browsing history while playing.
Doing so could result in you being logged out of the tab, and therefore the game.

Do not minimize the login tab.
Open your game over it. Keep as few internet tabs open as possible, other than the login tab.


I’d like to add onto this, if possible. If anyone has other tidbits on dealing with login page problems, I’d love to add it in for others to use.

I just saw the post about the registration ( http://feralheart-official.tumblr.com/post/154905913005/the-registration-is-back-online) and I just wanted to say a massive Thank you to the staff for working to keep Feral heart going while it was down. You guys are all truly amazing, thank you for keeping the game we all love alive. C:

And a massive thank you to Raz in particular. We know you had to completely rebuild the registration, bit by bit, so thank you so much for the dedication you put into it, even when people were getting impatient.

Introduction / Womp - nice to see you all again!

Hey howdy hey

I haven't been as active on here due to school stuffs and looking for a job, but now I finally have things sorted out, so I'm returning from my mini-hiatus! (sadly not in time to join the Halloween party though :c. I hope you all had a blast there!)

It's going to be great to see everyone around again. I hope you all have been doing just dandy this past few months!

Game Discussion / Solo Feralhearting

Hanging out with friends around Feralheart is always fun, and role playing is a wonderful way to interact with others, but do you ever hop on with every intention to keep to yourself? Whether to nab some purdy screenshots, or just to listen to the music for a bit, why, if at all, do you go solo in-game?

Miscellaneous Tutorials / Getting out of the Black Void

This is a short tutorial on getting out of the void when you first log into the updated game, as this is an issue with many users.

If you log into the new update, and it looks like the picture above, there's no need to worry. Just a few simple steps will hopefully get you back on track.

First of all, make sure you have downloaded the update, which can be found here: Downloads (If you do not download the update, your character will be in the black map regardless.)

After doing so, go to http://feral-heart.com/login/ and you should see this screen:



Click here.



Log into your account when prompted. You should see a screen with a list of your characters' names, like so.


Select 'Reset Home' for all of your characters, multiple times if you wish. Then, select 'Go Home' for each character.

Go back to http://feral-heart.com/login/ and log into your account straight from there. Without minimizing your tab, open up your updated game and hop on your character. Everything should be good to go! Enjoy exploring!

It doesn't show each and every portal, but it shows at least one way to get to each map. (And if you'd  explore on your own, disregard the link.)

My personal favorite is Cherika Valley. How about you?

Whether a veteran user, or a bit of a newer one, we all have those times where we can get a little bit stuck, either with a glitchy game, crashes, or not knowing how to do something. This starter guide is compiled of tips, tutorials, and tricks from various locations, all into one. Hopefully afterward, you’ll have a larger concept about Feralheart that will get you unstuck from said situations, and more able to share your thoughts and knowledge with the rest of the community.
