Title: A little question (Pretty Much Answered )
Post by: DragonHeart2003 on October 04, 2018, 03:27:36 am
So, my question is. Can presets be just an overlay? i mean like you could just draw clothes or a necklace then have it just over lay your normal markings, so that you can see the under markings then see the preset over it. i'd love to know if this is possible

Sadly, I don't believe they can be used as overlays so that you can see underneath it a regular character. My only guess would to make some parts transparent, but that would just make it invisible. There might be a code that can mess with it however. I just never heard of it. Maybe someone else whows more experienced in presets can back me up heh

the only way to do that would be utilizing transparency, and that would just make part of the character see-through

instead of using the usual texture and markings over it, a preset completely overwrites that, so the only 'display' being used is the preset, and not what's underneath[unless someone viewing it doesn't have the .fhp file].

Moving this over to game help for you.

The only way i can see doing this is using the same makings when making the preset, but draw clothes over the top (i did this more than once) so anyone who had the preset would see them + the clothes.  Those without the FHP would see if as the regular character.

Is that what you were asking?

Basically the only thing you're able to do is create more than one layer when making your preset, domarkings on one layer and then the "clothes" or "overlay" on another layer, and order it like so;
1st layer- The Texture,
2nd layer - The "Overlay/Clothes",
3rd layer - Character Markings.

It's very simply done and shouldn't be too hard to figure out, if you have any further questions feel free to ask!
