Event viewer is a useful tool included with Windows to allow you to view errors and warnings regarding the kernel and applications in your operating system. This guide uses Windows 7, but the steps are Similar on XP and Vista.

\\You will need administrative permissions to access event viewer.

Step One:
Open the start menu.

Step Two:
Open the Control Panel.

Step Three:
Once in the control panel, Navigate to the System and security sub-menu. Depending on your control panel view, you may not see this step.

Step Four:
Enter the administrative tools sub-menu, as mentioned previously, depending on your control panel view, entering this menu might look different.

\\Alternative:
You can bypass steps One to Four by simply typing "Event Viewer" into the search bar.

Step Five:
The Event Viewer is divided into many categories. Click the Windows tab.

Step Six:
Once the windows tab is expanded, click on the applications tab.

Step Seven:
You will see tons of information, and hopefully they would be mostly Notices as opposed to Warnings or Errors.
But you're probably looking for something specific, Feralheart for instance. So, press CTRL + F. This will open a context widow. For instance, type "feral" into the dialogue box and select find next. You will want to find an Error or Warning related to Feralheart, and it can tell you what kind of failure occurred.

Step Eight:
You should find some data about the Feralheart application if any is available You can use this data to find out more about what is making the application fail. Though you may need someone with computer experience to discover the problem using the data, it can be very essential to finding answers.

I hope this can be of use to some of you to discern answers for your problems.

Ask me if you have any questions.

If it doesn't get swamped in other things, it might be even helpful!

I think this should be moved to tutorials? Maybe? After all, it isn't a help thread...

But this has nothing to do with the game per se. This was put under the help sections because it would only be required if you encountered game difficulties. Tutorials seems to be more like how to's for map and preset artists, not technical difficulties. Made more sense to me for it to go here.

This place is only for users "Seeking" help though, this is more of a guide since it tells users how to identify issues.

The only times the thread is not one seeking help, is usually when people come on the forum to ask the same help thread over and over again, in that case a temporary sticky is put up.

If users need help with things like this, threads can be made in the tutorial section so they can easily be linked to the help board if wanted instead of writing the same answers for different users.

Can user level accounts even move threads?[/u]
If it would help more people somewhere else, move it.

Make sure you have C++ Library installed and up to date on your computer in order to run FH properly, these updates should come with windows update automaticly nowadays.

This is just a guess from my part though.
