Character manes not matching selected color?

Encountered this glitch a while ago, can't figure out how I fixed it. I have the nails for the cats(I think dogs as well) that match the color of the mane.
For example one of my lions has a pink mane, the nails should be pink as well, but the mane is displaying brown. If I scroll over to a character with a red mane and then scroll back the original lions mane will be red now.

Anyone else have this?

I had this problem too and determined I had replaced too many of the original files. I restored the original tuft files, and I think that's what fixed it. (Found in FeralHeart > media > models)

I forgot to reply to this, I'm sorry. I have a mod that gives the animals claws, that match the mane color. If I replace it with the default mane I will lose these nails.
Do I just re-add the nails after or?

You should only have replaced some of the mane files. If you replaced any tuft files, restore the originals. If that doesn't work, restore some of the mane files (maybe some you don't use). May require some experimenting
