Title: Paw pads

Okay so.. Unsure about what to do about the paw pads so Kov has decided to let you guys vote =)

They look like that at the moment.

Normal brown for all - Meaning every character; no matter what colour; will have the same colour paw pads.
Custom colour - Able to pick your own colour; Just like tail tip, pelt ect.
Darker shade then the pelt - Just a darker version of the pelt of the character; For example, if the character is white, the paw pads would be grey.

I think it should be custom colour, or black, because brown doesn't fit with everything~ Then again maybe a custom colour could be a preset specific type thing.

I wouldn't mind, though I voted on have the paw pads just brown because I like it to be more realistic and natural, however I woundn't mind anywho. ^^

Well it wouldnt matter to me, but i wouldnt mind customizing them either, like since meh toon has no brown areas or w/e id want a color that fits him, red, black, white so i vote customization :3

I'd prefer custom paw pads, cuz some people have chara's with unusually colored pawpads, either pink, blue, green, yellow etc etc.

I beleive it should be custom as well. Just like Zixone said, it would add more creativity to the char, and make the char more unique and interesting.

I think custom. Darker than the pelt seemed nice, but with very dark pelts the pads wouldn't be visible.

I wouldn't care too much what they look like, since how many times are we actually gonna see any paw pads. The darker than color ideas are good, but if custom, maybe there should be some kind of markings like spots on the toes or stuff like that.

Custom color for sure, though, luckily my wolf has brown on her. Either way, my other characters are odd colors and have odd pad colors as well.

i think they should be custom because if you wanted brown you could do it, if you wanted a darker shade, you could do it XD its a win win win!

since the character creation is mainly customizing just about everything possible on your character, changing the paw pads to your own selected color would be nice. c: so I vote custom color. ;3

I vote for custom colour.  Like someone said, brown doesn't go with everything.  And even though you can't always see the paw pads...  Well, it's still just a little bit more of a way to customize your character, right? ^^

Custom colour. That way, you can have brown pawpads if you want, or you could even have them the same colour as the pelt and have it look like no pawpads. It's a way to add more uniqueness to the character, after all it's the little details that count, right?

Custom color, or a very dark, near-black grey.  Brown pawpads really don't match with a lot of colors.  ^^;

Custom Color sounds good. But I think it should be the same color as the nose, because dark colored cats who have black noses usually have black paw-pads, as lighter colored ones with pink noses tend to also have pink paw pads...

I personally thought darker pawpads than pelt. But the same as nose just makes purrfect sense.

I say custom. One reason would be because say you have a dark colored character with white leg markings. The paw pads would more pinkish because of the pigment in the skin, where as dark colored leg markings would have dark colored paw pads. Also those who don't have realistic characters are able to expand their creativity a little more.  :)

I would say custom because it wouldn't fit if u had a multi colored animal, then your paws just being totally diffirent than your body. I personally think that would be weird. So custom vote for meh :3

Although I prefer realistic colored everything, I do own unusual colored chars as well, and they have unusual pawpad colors, so I voted for custom coloring. :)

And just like Sparrow said, the same color as the nose would be awesome either. I was actually surprised the color of the nose didn't change thepawpads as well. x) I checked xD

Usually a character with a teal-blue nose would have teal-blue pawpads.

I would say any of them would be good, but deffinatly custom. For the people who like natural, then they can make their paw pad color natural, and for the people who like to add more spunk to their charries then they can do some funky colors! its a win-win for everyone! :) nice work FH team and Kov!

I'd want to make my paw pads a custom color so that I could make it match the rest of my character. When I create my characters I often use colors to help show their personality. It'd be strange if the paw pads didn't match my character.

I believe Custom would be funner for all of use. I know Kov wants to do realistic and stuff [P.S. GREAT JOB FH TEAM!], but what other people have stated.. is well erm.. great ideas.  I also wouldn't want a wolf or lion with a purple or green pelt to have brown paws. I'd want to change them as well.

Hm... Custom, I think. If you have any odd-colored animals, I don't think you'd always like to have brown paw pads. It won't make a big difference, but it's still nice to have that much more freedom with creating your character.

Voted a while ago, finally putting my two cents in. I think custom would be best- doesn't seem that hard to code, and it encourages a bit more creativity. It's a nice little bonus, and I think players would appreciate it; I certainly would. That and changing the color of the inside of the ears.. my fursona looks rather strange with blue ears xD

I agree with most of the people above; I'd like to customize the color of my characters' paw-pads.  While it would take a little bit of time to code, I would think, it'd be a nice bonus.

Also agreeing with Ringo up there when it comes to changing the color of the ears.  x3

Custom color. Why? Brown really doesn't fit with every color, black maybe. Darker than the pelt seems a bit off. What if you had a white lion/canine and you wanted the paw pads to be pink instead of grey? With whatever color you can choose it seems better. x3

Custom color of course! If you want brown or a shade darker than the pelt, both can be achieved with custom color anyways. c: The way I see it, why keep people from having the neon green pawpads they want, when you can always make yours black if you'd like?

I like the thought of a custom color choice myself. That would be able to add to the uniqeness and customizable things for every character C:

Though I DO see a flaw with that. The character is standing on their paws - you wouldn't be able to see them in order to change the color correctly to your liking anyway, LOL

You can. You just have to move the character until they're at an angle, something like a 45 degree angle.

Seriously. I mean, it's better than if they were all brown, like the paw pads, but what if we wanted them a darker shade of the fur color, or pink, or something? Aroxy's species even depended on having the option of changing inner ear colors. And now we can't. And it's annoying. Y'know?

I think custom is actually a brilliant idea for paw pads. I agree with Linda of the little paw pad box instead of turning your camera just to see a little itty bitty part of your paws. Custom shall win!

Not all black, most animals have brown or pink, sometimes black (My cat's paw pads are black and pink!) but not always.

It should really be custom color. Because if you can pick custom colors for your character's pelt, you should be able to pick the color of its paws.

well. i vote custom color, my chari would be almost complete because i want her to have red pads like she stepped in blood and it stained her pads forever. but i said ALMOST because being complete would having wings on her, by the way did the items cost money in IT?  because if you made the wings on here and made them only one chari limit, per account, that would be better or even two chari per account, i would pay money to have more then one or two to have wings, who is with me?

Custom colour, although darker then pelt would look good on some characters but sadly as other people have said it won't work for people with black or quite dark pelts.

I voted for Custom, for the main reason that most people I've seen in Feralheart complain that the pawpads look bad or don't fit their character. I've thought about this, and realized that I've never paid much thought to them in the past. Now, I think the option to custom color the paw pads would bring more unique characters to FeralHeart.

Custom colour would be good. I usualy make presets so i can use different pad colours, but i also make the preset look good rather than just colouring the pads.

But thing is when your customizing the paw pads your character would have to have an action to lift up its paw so you can see it. I vote custom because dark wolves... like REALLY dark probably wouldn't be able to see their pads.

Brown is an ok color for paw pads, so if they stay that way I won't really mind. BUT I like the Idea of coloring the paw pads, because brown doesn't look very fitting for paw pads on some of my characters.

I think it should be custom, because on a lot of darker colored characters look really silly with brown paw pads. Take my character Tunguska for example. Black, dark purple, dark grey...brown...no, just no.

I think its  a good idea but maybe they could have a download option for that instead of maybe putting it in a new patch they could make it a side download so that way the people who dont want more space taken up on there comp(trust me some people are very hyperbolistic on computer memory).  but thats just my opinion

I would say custom so that people can have their say in what color they want. I know someone who's character that they draw has pink paw pads but has a totally different fur color, so if they were to play this game then their character would be almost perfect.

The "natural" colour of the pawpad depends on the pigimintation percentage within the skin ^^

Adding onto Fox, my dogs have black, since they're boarder Collies and others have different colours depending on the pigment yush. ^^ So it would be great if Custom was avalible!

Brown or custom, will it honestly matter? How often will one see the actual paw pads of their character? ^^;

I suppose for creativity's sake, why not then? Surely it can not take up too much time to implement this sort of additional feature into the games settings for one who has already done so much for this community, no?

Perhaps have the paw pads brown my default, that way if people don't want to change it they can keep the default brown. =3

I can't speak for everyone but, personally I think The Custom Colours would be ideal. :D  I mean you can custom the rest of your character, why not there pads. Also if you wish for the pads to be natural then you can set the colour. :)

The fact the paw pads aren't customisable are starting to bug me. Was using a red and black lioness and the brown paw pads are frankly, an eyesore. And yes, you do see the pads when you're running and when you're upside down. Just little things but they make a big difference. Especially when your character is pure white or something like that.

 In my personal opinion, customizable paw pads would probably be best. The brown really doesnt go with a light character. Even if you do want brown ones, you can easily customize them exactly how you want with the RGB code. I'm voting a definite yes for this one. :3

Its sure that custom is going to win. Of course, some people want to be shadows so they make their characters pure black but when theyd run they would have such unfitting brown paws. But I do think that the brown paws kinda fit with pure white characters. I vote for custom because you can make it darker than the pelt, or brown. easy choice there.

I'm in between on this.  I'd like to be able to customize my characters' paw pads, as brown doesn't go well with some of my characters' designs, however I hardly pay attention to the bottom of their paws as it is.

It would be nice to widen people's ability to customize their characters, but in my opinion, it's not entirely necessary~.

Hmmm, I might have many different view on this.

1. Darker than the pelt
Yes, this is a good idea and works very well, but sometimes it would look off, say, if you have a strange looking character, and the paws don't look right with it, it distracts you.

2. Fully custom
This is also a nice idea, too. It'll work with your characters and yes, make them more your own, but it will also feed the people who make those bright sparkle dogs(guilty xD). Also, I get distracted easily, and seeing everyone running around with rainbow pawpads would freak me out xD

3. Brown, Pink, or black
I agree with this, since yes, it's natural colors and they're very nice choices for natural looking characters. But, say, you have a colored character that doesn't seem to fit with any of these, it can sm to look very weird and sometimes get distracting.

4. Stay how it is - One color.
Well
I would say no, well, mainly because brown isn't a very good color and it goes with very few colors, and looks strange on many characters. And, well, it looks like they stepped in.... Something else. xD

I say you add Custom colored pads. It works for everyone, no matter who they are.
But really, think about it: in order to color the paw pads in game, Kov would have to add something so you could see the color they are, most likely (since currently when you create-a-felnine you know.. the feet are on the ground.)
Also, this will further the evil invasion of Sparkle CatDogs. The horror! The paws will be bright yellow! -heart attack-

The Custom Colour would be the best idea, being that you can pick which colour is best for your character and that Maybe the normal Light/normal brown colour doesnt Look good with their character, ect..

Not all pawpads are brown. My cat's pawpads are a cute pink color. So it's a yes for customization from me- Boosts originality for some characters, too. c; And I'm really not bothered about sparkle dogs. They stand out from the crowd, which is fine by me so long as I don't see them butting into any realistic roleplays.

In my view if pads had a custom color that soon fangs and maybe even tongues would have custom colors which would not be bad but there is many other things that this game could have instead of custom colored pads such as Wings like impressive title.

I think custom would be best. It would give the players a chance to become more creative and not all animals have brown pads. Some have black and even a peachy pink color. Plus, as some people have probably said, I know a lot of people that like to create demon characters that are oddly colored and brown-colored pads might not always match them.

I say custom. Brown doesn't go with ANY of my characters. And most animals don't actually have brown paws, so you're capable of making it even MORE realistic WITH the custom.

i think it doesnt really matter. think about it. in the time of an hour of playing fh, exactly how many people comment on how the brown paws dont go with the blue fur? and for that matter, how much time is there where the paw pads are actually visible?

I've kind of given up hope that this will ever be noticed.
because if you see my point, things have been added like roars and howls and stuff like that, but the two things that seem to be in peoples mind the most are the paw-pads and the group glitch. So I think this has all been ignored. There mist have been quite alot of coding to go into the new emoticons, such as the stretch and the roar etc, so why is nothing happening about this? Has anyone even TOLD/ASKED Kovu about this being a possibility?
Cause it's all well and good everyone sitting round saying "ooh yesums, this would be nice..." if no-one's actually got up and tried to make this a reality, and yes, I am more than willing to ask Kovu about this =3

problem with that, say your charrie has markings other than the pawpads, then your stuck. I say custom.

ive actually figured this out... Im not sure if its allowed or not but i edited the body markings so that they have pawpads that overlap the regular ones, but they change color along with the marking. It took me about two days to do this xp

Well, I don't even know why the paw pads were even brown in the first place, where lions generally have grey paw pads? Well, I guess not in The Lion King, but still, it's a little annoying for all players realistic and non-realistic.

I most definetly voted for custom. There is a marking pack or two where you can color the tongue and paw pads but then you can't have markings for the body and head. So if those things were custom instead of a marking or just plain brown, that would be great, I'd really like that.
