Seriously guys,some of you are like 13 or so and you don't know how to mute on the Options or the whole computor?Just a small topic,but seriously,complaining about it is way worse than the howling/roar
You guys asked for howling and roaring,and you got it,and now you complained about it,grow up.
Just watch,the next day,people will be fine about it.First day of update,people hate it.
and Love the update keep it up

I don't get why it's so annoying anyway D: It's really not loud at all, and I actually think it's kinda neat to hear howls and stuff in the distance all the time~ It's like ambiance, lol~!

I don't find it annoying. In fact I like it. The howls/roars make the larger maps feel more alive.
Can see though how some might be annoyed. Might be a bit overdone on bonfire. It's new and people gotta play, It will lessen over time.

By tommorow people will have lost intereset in it, its a new action let them be. There is a mute for a reason if it annoys you then turn off the sound. You can keep the music on if you wish, but there is option to ONLY mute that kind of thing.
So please people we want updates like this to keep coming and if you all tear it apart and only look at the negetives then we will stop getting these updates, please just stay focessed on the possitives ^^.

As written before. Most will probably loose interest with time.
I do understand if some find it annoying. If you do spend quite some time in the game, the howling/roar gets really derrp xd. Sure you can turn off the sound in the game, but then you wouldn't hear anything else at all.
But it is true, it is somewhat funny that some people want this howl/roar, get it, and then don't want it.
Lets just hope it will tone down though, cause the amount right now when playing in a public map is out of question way too much.
I personally find the overuse of howl extremely annoying right now, and I'm not lying when I say that there's probably max 2 seconds breaks at most in bonfire before hearing 1 or more howls again.
I did something about it though that would please me, and I'm sure anyone could do this.
Find the "howl1" sound inside the sounds folder.
Open it up with any audio editing/recording software
Change the sound level to nothing at all, and save the sound clip with the same name.
Next time when you run FH, it will play a sound with no sound xD.
Works like a charm.
I'm not sure if you even need the mp3 at all. But I did this instead of removing it since I thought it might give you some error about a missing file or crash everytime someone used the action.
Overall, give it some time and let people get bored of it. If that doesn't happen, you can always do what's mentioned above.

Don't you just turn the volume of on the taskbar of the computer?

I gotta say I didn't even know about the roar/howling O.o it was a full moon where I was and was like wait the game is night time, there's a full moon, I heard wolves howling, I thought that was part of the game at that point XD but then I heard a lion roar and was like wait, how are they doing that!? lol found out and was like, oh kool ^^ and yes people started to complain about the wolves howling all day yesterday, saying that it's more annoying then the actual lion roar... O.O I don't mind hearing it, it's very kool to have a social call, like natural predators, but people take it too seriously.

I have to say I love the roar and howl actions and emotes, it gives more to the game. Its not very loud and my computer is always low volume anyway so I barely notice it. Even so, its easy to mute or turn down if needed and like the admin said, just a file click away to permanently disregard it. Those who are complaining need not do so, there is more than one way to 'peal a potato' so to speak.

I dont see the problem with the roars and howls, although the howls could be a little deeper or lower sounding.

It's really bad in the starting area but then again everything is bad there. Outside of the Bonfire it's not bad, I like hearing it in the distance.

The Roaring/Howling is annoying, because they keep doing it over and over again. Try listening to that, it will grate on your nerves and quickly.
But anyway, I won't be turning off my sound to the game, because. Well, I like hearing the sounds in the game, other wise it gets pretty dull and quickly.

I do find the constant howling and roaring annoying. Honestly I really need to know why it is so entertaining to howl 50 times in a row with a group of like 10 people. And no, I will not turn my game sound off because I enjoy the running and walking sounds and other noises in the game. Hey, I never asked for a howl ;) And ooh, that's a good idea red |D Might do that later today.

i could link diff howls that i think would fit better if you want, and it might work if you replace the howl on FH, but im kinda scared to try it because of i have a bad history with FH XD

Note that some never asked for it, and that some still like to hear the other sounds in the game. For those who did though, they need to think about the consequences xD.
I myself didn't have anything against those actions, but before we got them, I thought about how they "should" work. And that it should've had some sort of system that allows just a certain amount of those actions within a certain amount of time to prevent the worst spam.
Lets say max 3 howls/roars in the matter of 40 seconds.
Or another version
If you use the action more than 5 times in the matter of 1 minute, your action doesn't work for the next 5 minutes?
This would prevent a lot of spams of the action, and people would still be able to use it more than once.

Well, its mainly the howl people were complaining about, the roar is just fine -_-'.. When I play a male wolf, its weird hearing a high pitched howl come from it, it's like your wolf isn't even close to a male at all.. Its better to just find a nice soothing lowish howl, what some people would probablly like is a howl/roar adjusting system in character creator.. Warrior cats roaring, puppies with a big howl? Looks kind of funky xD..

I agree with DeathscarandCandycane and Red, it would be nice to be able to customize the pitch of your character's howl or roar and to make a limit avoid spam is good too.
As for the complaining itself, I would prefer to have the spam everywhere in IT rather than to hear people whining about it in general chats. It is annoying that some of the people who wanted it so badly are making a big deal about other people enjoying what they are kindly given.

I guess several other people have said the same thing, but it does get irritating when people roar/howl over and over again so it's pretty much non-stop. On the other hand though, I don't mind the howling/roaring if it isn't used excessively. I quite like it actually. xD

I happen to really like all the roaring and howling. Even though I am older I still love to run around and howl and roar over and over like a child. I mean, isn't the game designed to have fun? People treat it like a chat room when its not. Although, similar.

If you so annoyed, just turn the Sound Effects down and don't complain. :)

When I got sick of roaring and howling, I replaced the howling noise with the Monster Ray call from Impressive Title Reborn, then crawled into one of my game files and found a dinosaur-sounding roar for the roaring noise. XD It's very amusing, especially when I walk into a public area and all around me I hear "MOOOOO!" XD

I haven't had any problems with it. For me, I sort of like hearing it and don't really mind. Usually I don't really even hear it or notice, though.
And I just had this thought xD It's all like, "OMG I want howling/roar! 8DD " Then they get it and toy around with it aaandd.. " ._. I HATE THIS WHO THOUGHT OF IT?" xD

It seems to have died down a lot now, it's very rare that I hear any howling or roaring now~
Though really, it's usually so quiet I can't tell if I actually heard it or just imagined it, lol XD

I actually like it alot, but I've never ACTUALLY heard any of the noises. I guess for the mac version won't read mp3 files. :) So I only hear the .wav files that are in the game. I tried converting and stuff so I could be annoyed with the rest of you but it didn't work. QQ :)
