Praise / Happy Birthday, Kynvuu <3
« on: May 22, 2019, 07:08:54 pm »
Today, we have another staffy birthday. It’s sweet that Kyn and Morgra both have near days of birth, since for the longest time, they were the mod babies of the bunch, both joining the team around the same time and being trained together. (Mod sisters 4 lyfe. <3)

I hope that you feel loved and appreciated today, Kynbab. You have devoted much to the game and our relationships as friends, and it is a pleasure to be able to work by your side. Your candid, honest character is one that is not often found, which makes it a quality that reveals the kind of integrity you posses as a person. You are never one to sugar coat or change yourself to please others, and your truthfulness when it comes to viewing a situation logically or approaching a prospect for the game— it’s a refreshing perspective. And behind it is a beautiful heart that makes me very proud to be in your life. You’re like a sister to me in many ways, and I’m very grateful to be surrounded by such lovely people as yourself. Love you. Have a wonderful birthday— you deserve it. <3

Forum Discussion / Help GoogleAds Overcome his Identity Crisis
« on: November 21, 2018, 04:41:45 am »

Our pal Google AdSense is going through some stuff right now. It seems he cannot contain himself from yearning to fulfill his soul in discovering what it truly means to be a character, made out of words so delicately establishing who he is and what his life's story constitutes.

They say bots don't have feelings. I disagree.

How do we help him overcome this dire phase in his life?

Discussion Board / Spoilers?
« on: August 21, 2018, 04:04:22 am »
We all accidentally read something we shouldn't or overhear someone gushing about the latest happenings in some version of media consumption, one way or the other. Whether it be the details of the latest book in your favorite series or the outcome of a cliffhanger to a television show, there are ways in which we simply cannot predict the manifestation of a spoiler finding its way to our eyes and ears. So, do you believe spoilers can be completely avoided? Are there any methods which you have found to be effective in limiting spoilers? Would a spoiler prevent you from enjoying the media (movie, tv show, book, etc) of which you consume or would it have little effect on you?

P.S. In the case where someone should like to relate an experience with a spoiler, please refrain from describing the spoiler itself. c;

Praise / Two years! Happy Patchiversary.~
« on: June 10, 2018, 01:05:29 am »
Two years ago on June 9th -- 2016 -- the latest patch was officially released to the public. With the ups and downs of introducing new maps and renditions of old ones, we have appreciated your patience and thoughtfulness in regards to the changes that were brought about (and are still being brought about) to Feral Heart a couple years ago. Thank you to those who have stuck around, and I hope you will continue to enjoy what the game has to offer, the memories you have made here, and everything in between. <3 Here's to two years, and to more to come.

Cheers.

Discussion Board / Exciting News for Animators!
« on: June 06, 2018, 03:56:10 am »
I came across some very exciting news for animators, and I figured that there are probably a few folks here whom could benefit from word finding its way to the Feral Heart forums. Toonz software has recently decided to make their 2D animation software free to download and open source for anyone to use. Toonz has been utilized (whether in part or by a great deal) in film productions for Studio Ghibli, Steven Universe, Futurama, Balto, along with others. I think it's looking to be a permanent thing, but I'm still looking into the news, myself. I have no idea how many people here are interested in animation, but perhaps this could fall into your hands just at the right time.

If you want to download it and view the news post, look here!

What do you guys think about their decision to release their content freely to the public? If you have dabbled in art or animation, would this affect you in any way, personally? I'd love to hear your thoughts. c:

News Archives / APRIL FOOLS
« on: April 01, 2018, 01:15:27 am »
Happy April Fools!

Edit: THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE AN OFFICIAL MAP  ;D

The staff thought we would have some light hearted fun and create an absurd map for April Fools. Surprised that the upside down trees, flying water, strangely proportioned/ stretched objects, flushing toilet sound, and flying grass didn’t catch some of you on to the joke. Thank you to those of you who actually thought our silly creation was beautiful! For those of you who might be a little discouraged don’t worry we’ve got real sneak peeks in store of the actual soon to be released patch maps & WIPS. Stay tuned!

SPACE.

For those whom will be able to experience the solar eclipse today, are you excited? Will you be viewing it today? Will you watch outside or through a news outlet, if at all? Did you purchase glasses? Are you in the path of totality? Is the eclipse something you consider to be special or important-- why or why not?

Discussion Board / The Long Discussed Debate- The Book or the Movie?
« on: September 22, 2016, 10:02:30 pm »
I'm sure you've come across this type of debate question at some point in your lives. For those of you who aren't familiar with it, the question goes something like:

Do you prefer the book or the movie adaptation of the book?

And you'll most certainly hear:

Which one is better?

While the answer to the question may be up to the individual himself and the possibility of there being no correct answer is high, I'm curious to see what you think. Some people say that the movie brings out aspects of the book that should have been explored further or is more interesting to watch, while those who say that the book is better argue that, since the book is usually the original foundation of the story, nothing can compare to how it was initially intended to be consumed (by being read). Of course, many could also justify that some books are better than movies, some movies better than books (but for time's sake, this question goes generally toward the main idea). What do you think? Which do you prefer? Do you think the book or the movie is better? If there was a movie adaptation of a book, would you choose to watch the film over the book? Why or why not?

While we're on the same subject, are there any movie adaptations of books you've enjoyed or would like to see be made in the future?
