Heya floofs.
Many people use the same color when posting, and I do too. I use purple or blue, because those are my favorite colors.
Which color do you use? Why, and what does it mean to you?
I find it really cool how people do this, because if you look closely you can interpret the kind of character a person is.
-
I normally use white or cyan depending on what signature picture I use.
And mainly because cyan is just a pleasing colour to me.
I'll most likely only use white if I don't think my signature or icon actually go with a colour, so I guess it's still like a WIP colour I guess?
-
I use either Sky Blue or Cyan, I just generally love the color blue. I feel like it kinda represents me in a way, I've kinda always liked the color as well!
Great topic to start, Star, it'll be interesting to see the responses. c:<3
-
Nice topic you've brought up here- I usually use aquatic/dim grey colours and the default fonts, don't make anything too fancy. I use:
Gainsboro or SlateGrey
I use this colour for just about everything, and I use this colour for highlighting names and whatnot although it doesn't really relate much to my personality; but it does have a few similarities to my love for the aquatic life (hence Shurtle).
Other times, I'll use the colour Red as a sort of "warning" type of text- but it's very rare I'd use this. I'll also use this colour to say if my presets/drawings requests are closed. If they're open, I'd use Green.
-
Personally I prefer this colour.
Yet, whenever I'm too lazy (which is often) I use Beige. Mainly because I forget the code to the other. c:
-
I use this fancy color-glow mix because it matches my main characters colors.
I also wanted it to be noticeable. x3
Helpful tip: If you save any fancy code you use to a Notepad and just leave it open, you can easily copy-paste it later. ^.^
I use Cyan to highlight links.
-
I use silver and have for a while. It's not as bright as white and matches my character Damius and the gray color scheme. Although at some point I might try to switch to something else, depending on if I decide to change my profile a bit.
-
I use dark magenta mostly and Forest Green for links and such. Mostly because they match my character's fire and eye colors. cx
-
I use the color rosybrown, as it's a nice pinkish color that seems easy to read and fits nicely alongside my main character's color scheme. I then just use beige for links and such.
-
I use this color here, its official name is Jellyfish. I use it because I absolutely looove the ocean and it's a nice blue without being too bright c:
-
I use teal because it's my favorite color c:
-
I love to use violet because its quite a gorgeous color and the color of Kyn's mane. It's kinda the color that sticks out the most on her so I assumed that would be a pretty nice color to use in my posts c:
-
This is an interesting topic you have. c:
I usually use beige/white for text on the forum; I don't find it to be too bright (although, admittedly, it can become a little hard to read if it's used in a wall of text) and I usually have my computer screen brightness set low, so I find the brighter color to be a bit easier to see. I think beige/white can be read in different ways or in a more neutral tone, whereas I've noticed that some colors (such as the bright red) can feel a bit shouty or stern. I think the white matches my character a bit, too. c: I used to use grey color exclusively a while back, but now I only use the grey text when emphasizing a link or specific terms. I used a brownish earthy color a while back. Perhaps I'll use that one again at some point.
-
Man, I wish I had something better to say about grey! xD
I'm mainly just lazy but don't wanna look like I don't care when I post.
It actually looks pretty good so I kept it. I'm also just super used to typing [center'].
-
When I post my own topic on different websites and such, sometimes I might change the color and mess around to make it look more interesting. However, I usually leave the colors alone, especially since I'm usually concerned with formatting if the text and if the post is appealing to the viewer. Colors are usually not such a huge focus for me.
But I really used to love orange and green (cantaloupe colors, now that I think about it.) Orange represented the 'shoot-first-ask-questions-later' and reckless side of me (the part that's extremely loud and vibrant), while green would represent a mellower, more serious and introspective side of me. I could never find a color that could fit both sides of my personality (just like I can't really find people who can deal with both sides really well either.)
No color could really describe for a while, so I took to calling my soul black. Cheesy, I know.
Now I particularly like Maroon and teal. Also into shades of off-white or beige... I just like colors. I can't choose now that I think about it.
-
I used to type in Navajo white, but since last year I started using the Beige color. It's one of my favorite colors!
-
I mainly use burlywood, and Beige for links!
-
I nearly always use this color here, and purple to highlight links. I wanted to use a color that few other people used, so that my posts would stand out a bit more and be recognizable. I think I'm going to shake it up soon though, for some reason I kind of want something a little more purple. :0
-
Those are all so interesting :o Thank you for sharing <3
-
Grey or Navy
Grey symbolizes how emo am
Navy describes how i'm nice
-
cyan because i like to be unnecessarily annoying for people to look away from my direction and to leave me in peace /shot
no i'm just kidding it's my favourite colour despite being overly bright
-
I generally just like using the color pink, because it reminds me of soft, silky things & springtime.(: Sometimes though, I'll switch it to limegreen, because it reminds me of nature & makes me happy.
-
A wonderful topic! (+floof!) I personally am very fond of shades of browns and creamy tans and yellows. They are rather plain, easy on the eyes, yet carry a pleasant motif of trust and dependability, which I'd like to pride myself in. It also reminds me of chocolate or cookies, which are, obviously, amazing. I tend to use navajowhite for the forums however, since it sticks out nicely on the background of the forums without any excessive contrast or eyesores. Though I am debating switching to blanched almond... Decisions, decisions.
-
back in the olden days i used to use bright red and maroon a lot because my fursona back then
was the infamous red edgelord leopard.
I now just use white along with the times new roman font.
not sure why - it just looks cool
-
I am pretty basic when it comes to colors and structure really.
I just go for a white centered text, I like it simple!
Colors can be fun to play around with though,
I quite like green and purple.
-
I actually don't have a color, since I'm just not up for copying and pasting my color every time I want to post, sadly :[
but on sites that do it for you like furvilla, I make sure it matches my profile. My color is a baby blue on there <:
-
I most often just use tan. Goes along with the white highlights I use when pasting links or other important things. Not to mention it goes along with all the color schemes of my characters, and is fairly quick to add into my text. Love the topic.
-
Although my favorite colors are red, I like the color orange for my writing. It just fits well...you know? And if I find there's too much orange, i use beige as well.
-
I've mainly settled on white. I might use navy blue as...an accent color maybe? For links or something.
-
I like purple, because Bard my character is normally affiliated with the color purple in artwork so derp.
-
I chose purple aswell because I have purple surrounding my avatar, it stands out without being too bright and it is overall just a lovely color. I may change it in the future.
-
- I am aware that there haven't been made any posts here since 4th april-
I always use yellow, because my OC's collar and eyes are in many shades of yellow... And unlike over half of the people I know, I find the color Yellow creative, dainty,
and it simply gives me positive thoughts :) Most folks call it a "pee color" -_-
-
I chose this greenish on a whim. I'd like it to be a paler green but i dont really mind that much haha.
I like earthy colors, so i think the green goes well with the overall theme of the forums.

Thought I'd compliment you on your choice of text color. I've seen your posts around a bit and I noticed I really do like that tone of green you chose. It's really unique and, as you mentioned, earthy.
As for me, I used to type in silver but now I type in a gold shade that I picked out. I tried not to make it too bright but I wanted a color that matches my newer sona's eyes.

I enjoy my purple! with the andale mono font~!
-
I really favour over the colour purple. Specifically this shade of purple for example (#9259BA), but I'm too lazy to save it or even remember it for constant use on the forum. So, now I just stick with grey. Where it will pretty much go with any signature, post or thing I use. Though, I used to use both this shade of purple for my main writing (#b266b2), and this shade of purple for my highlighted wording (#d8b2d8). These were used a lot over a year ago, but I discontinued for the reason already stated.
-
I've changed my colors,
White and pink just look so lovely together.
-
I just use purple (A870DF), though I use blue (468BDF) for links and whatnot.
-
I don't use any text code, since I get pretty lazy and it sort of matches Sobek's colour scheme.
Not really much else too it, although sometimes I'll use white/beige for highlighted things such as names, links etc.
-
I mainly use the default color, but I think i'll switch to White with links of this color since it looks pretty. I'll also use this color for PMing.
-
oh boy
i use orange for the top line of my text, and pink for the rest as you can see
don't have a reason for it, but i also use light blue for stuff such as links, applications, other important notes, etc.
i also use Comic Sans MS as my font cause i really like it ^^

I hope you don't mind me jumping in and complementing how unique this color choice is, I have always enjoyed how you begin the post with a diffrent color to the rest.

aw, thank you!
i didn't think it was anything special, to be honest, but i'm glad you like it!
-
i usually find myself using either white or thistle
i just think it's pretty, i never put much thought into it
-
I'm a big fan of browns, pinks and maybe a soft yellow. Except for pink, they're pretty, uncommon colors and all have a pleasant warm tone to them.
-
This looks like a good color
-
I use green because it sort of goes along with the markings of my OC, Cooria. It's also probably my favorite color, as it represents nature in some sort of way. c:
-
I usually just type in teal cause I love that color! :D
-
I now use Limegreen, as it sort of matches my signature's colors.
-
I use tan because it matches the general scheme I have going on- and it matches Vespian.
I also use hints of sienna, beige, and dark orange, too when addressing someone or when I wish to put emphasis on something.
-
i use white. it's too bright for me, but i use it anyways.
-
i use white but i used to use green! white goes with my whole little forum profile and its really simple i love it <3 i used green because my forum profile had my main character all over it (which is in my sig! the brown one) she has green eyes !
-
Purple is my favorite color but I don't think it looks very well on the forums.
-
I use teal most of the time ^^
-
I don't use any colours at the moment but soon I might. If so, I will choose sky blue/baby blue (If there is a way) or just blue in general or pink since both are my favourite colours! :)

Yes, there is a way to post with special font colors like a sky blue or light blue. Check out this thread (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=56573.0) for the list of colors you can use.
For example, this: Colored text will be here
Will look like this: Colored text will be here
-
I usually use red because it means fire, and to be honest I love to play with fire, and it reminds me of warmth and shelter and friendship. Also red and black are my favorite colors so...
-
I use Pale Blue. One of my own colors that I had coded :)
-
even though violet on here isn't violet, it's magenta
i use that or the aqua
wanna find a new one though
-
Recently it was Purple .... and then it switched to Magenta for a little while I believe...
I use this colour now ( Indigo ) and recently This one ( Tan ). as well. Only because it works well with my Pandeer character.
Aquamarine, Gold are my goto colours when it comes to links or highlighting a name sometimes c: Plus, the two combos really reminds me of Pandeer. Lol.
Nice Topic o:
-
#117F40, A rather pleasing and slightly muted green.
-
i like to use orange! it's one of my favourite colours and i like to associate orange with my most played character on feralheart, tea!
-
I've used Orange for quite some time, but I still haven't decided what will be my main color, mostly because I don't know if my color should fit my personality.
Orange suited my signature image when my signature had a picture of Gui.
I used to use Limegreen, then white.
I'm thinking of using some type of green, or blue(Blue is my favorite color), though I don't want to copy the code in every time I post(I usually select a color from the list of colors).
-
Posting here again since I've settled on this new style.
A while back, I looked at all of my posts and thought that the old style I was using looked a little aggressive and hard to read so I spent some of my time trying to find something that was easier to read that I liked that would also look friendlier and calmer. Since blue was my favorite color and is a cold/calming color, I used that and made the text itself a bright gray since pure white was too bright.
Sometimes I'll use green or yellow for highlighting things I think are important.
I still sometimes use cyan for links but have mostly just left it as the plain blue since they are underlined if they are direct links.
