Updates For March
Hello, everyone! It’s just that time for this month’s news and updates thread for all you floofs out there. Has everyone’s year been going well? It seems pretty chilly in most places, but if you guys don’t like that sort of thing, don’t worry! Spring is on its way, and times will get warmer before you know it. In any case, here’s all you need to know about the happenings of the past few weeks here on Feralheart.
Board & Site Changes
Nothing major has gone on much this past month in regards to the site. One thing to mention, however, is a heads-up over at our Off Topic Discussion Board. (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?board=2.0) It’s come to the attention of the staff that several of the threads created here are not following the guidelines formerly provided. Borderline threads are posted, and others eventually head off of the original topic of discussion and into chat threads. To make things a bit more organized, I have written up an updated Off Topic Rules Thread that will go into action immediately.
Please, floofs, remember to read every rule thread for every board provided to you on the forum so we don’t have messy boards and several threads to have to hunt down.

The first official Preset Contest of the year is taking place. The theme is realistic animals. Everyone, don’t forget to keep an eye on the Monthly Preset Contest every now and then; anyone can enter, and even if you just wanna stop by to check out the cool creations, that’s always fun as well! Side Note
Red has already mentioned this in its own dedicated thread, (https://feral-heart.com/smf/index.php?topic=32353.0) but I figured I’d go ahead and point it out here because it is a very important issue.
Several people have been gaining access to “public accounts” given to them by websites or friends. When you log into an account, it ties you to that account and every account tied to it accordingly. So, if you log in and your friend logs in, you both are connected by that account. Therefore, if one of the tied accounts is banned, you will be banned as well.
Several users who have connected to these banned accounts have been tied to it already, and once registration opens, their new account is going to be banned. Moderators and Administrators can not remove this ban.
You are responsible for YOUR OWN account. So, do not, I repeat, do not use the accounts of others.
On another note, this is a less important problem but we still believe it’d be worth mentioning. When you have a report to give to a Moderator or Administrator, be sure to send it to us here on the website. Some don’t tend to really care if they handle reports outside of this website and game, but others, such as myself, find it a little irritating to have received reports on sites completely unrelated to Feralheart (take DeviantART for example). I just want to mention that, unless a Moderator or Administrator gives this information and allows you to do so, please direct all reports and concerns regarding Feralheart to their inboxes here on the website, and nowhere else. Along with this, do not grow irritated if a Moderator refuses to accept your report elsewhere. Those are our own personal sites and we have the freedom to list whatever guidelines we chose. We appreciate it!

Thankies for the update. Looks like it's been a somewhat calm and chilled out month, but it's sometimes I good at have quiet time. Especially when it's been as cold as it has been earlier, and you just want to snuggle up by a fire...ah that is nice...
I've already written two thank you and congratulation messages about MOTS, I'm running out of things to say XD Another enormous thank you to the floofs who nominated and voted for myself, Buffy and Lord Suragaha, we're so very grateful for belief and confidence in us. I shall hold the title with pride. As cheesy as it sounds, it is an honour to apart of this little community and derp around along side some wonderful people. :)

This question has been asked THOUSANDS of times and has been answered MILLIONS of times.
If you are struggling to understand why the registry is closed then PLEASE visit the HELP (http://www.feral-heart.com/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=2&jfile=index.php&board=27.0) page.
The reason it is rarely open is to reduce RANDOM accounts being made and then being dumped 3 days later..
There are so many people who have done this repeatedly and this creates extra work for the mods to remove the ones who are in-active. The registry was open late last night at 12PM UK time. Keep an eye out! These dates and times are random!

Diana, the registrations are closed because not to long ago there was a flood of new players that registered and joined by the bucket loads..as you may imagine the server wasn't to happy with that and crashed alot (or so from what i've heard..I was on a year long hiatus :r) so..the admins closed 'em. I also might suggest telling your friend to check quite often;I found the registrations open at random times (i.e: for about 2 minutes when I was checking the amount on Flourite in the middle of the day.) And also thanks chu for teh update :P

because i'm not particularly sure that she will stay out of trouble, considering the close shaves she's had in the past, i'm worried that if her account gets banned, so will mine...

Ok. At random times? This should be an organized planed registration timing. Like, when they 'will' have it open at sometime, they should really announce it, not just at random. That is very unorganized. I am not trying to be mean, but it is. You should always be organized when operating a forum website that has over nine-hundred players playing on the game that they operate. It needs to be more organized and well managed. On the side note, congrats to the MoT's! :3

As you'll read in this announcement by Raz, you'll see that the whole reason registration is open and closed randomly to because the FH server is always under stress due to the large memberbase that uses it daily. Back before we had this registration process change, we would have sometimes hundreds of new members make new accounts every day, and this would cause heavy lag on the server.
As for your idea, there's a little problem with that, since it has been mentioned before; If everyone knew when registration would be open again, then what would be the point of having it close at all? New accounts would be made at the same rate, since everyone would know when to jump online for it. The server would continue to lag, and there would be no solution to the previous problem.
This said, Razmirz puts his own and very real money into the server to keep it running for everyone in this community,, and if they had a better option, like hosting FeralHeart on a stronger server, then they most certainly would. Sadly, though, that isn't in the cards at the moment. They do care one heck of a lot for this site and game, so believe me when I say the staff is working hard for our benefit.
I understand where you're coming from, but the administration is doing what they can to keep everything well-managed... After all, it's not too much on us to check in every now and then. Registration is open daily, so if you keep checking, it will open up. ^-^" I promise, floofie.

Emily, calm down. The server crashed a while ago and the staff team is doing everything they can possibly do (I think..) to try and fix it. If you go to the main fourms page there should be a topic about the server downtime. :P

The markings people are getting are not official markings, you need to download them to get them.
If you want to see the markings and be able to use them just look at this video for help. ^.^

Well the music for Feral Heart is supposed to be peaceful and not upbeat, since some people don't like that type of music.

Yeah this news is kinda already old so chances are they are just going to do a huge news thing in May, cause its to ar into April for a actual monthly news.
I know there is lots to discuss for the news cause alot of things have happened recently, but just stay patient I'm sure they will make something soon

The registration will be opened at random and your friend can register if he/she checks on here often enough. ^.^

I believe it's been stated several times that the registration is opened at random. The Tumblr once stated that even the staff do not know when it's opened. You just need to keep your eye on it from time to time.

No offense, but it's may. We never had an April Updates or May Updates. I was wondering if we will get a new update thread anytime soon? If there is some problem causing the delays on them I totally understand and am sorry if I came off as rude, but yeah....

I agree...it has been over a month that we had any official updates on the game.
I know there isn't much to update the players about, but it really isn't professional to just leave players hanging like that.
Totally understand if the staff have been stressed to be active lately or if there any other problems that is causing the delay in updates.

If anything, it may make a staff member less eager to post it.

I was not at all trying to sound whiny.
Just pointing out that with no game updates and no updates on the forum, it might disappoint some players. And it's not that professional to do that anyway.
And Woofkita and I both said that we would understand if there is a problem causing the delay.

Maybe Red has been working on something awesome and it wasn't ready in April. He may want to post it in May or June. Just be patient and we Floofs may get some awesome updates and news. Or they may have been busy with school and stuff.....

Well, there was a time before when this happened and sometimes usually it is because there isn't much of a change to the Forum and as well as the game, I think. Really other than any contest winners that would be it. If I sound like I'm ranting I'm not trying to. Still, we will have to wait. I can't wait to see the news too. Maybe a BIG one is being made right now
