Some of you may have noticed that our Blastchat feature has been removed from the site.
The reasoning behind this is that there were serious issues with the updated app, and we were having difficulties with moderator functions.
This led to the staff being unable to effectively moderate the chat.
While we did leave it up and running for some time to try and sort this, multiple users proved to us that the community is not responsible or mature enough to handle an unmoderated chat room, even while a mod is present in the room and giving warnings and in-game bans for unacceptable behavior.
As of this time we are unsure if we will be bringing the chat back or not, as it has been horrendously abused in the past. If we do, it will be AFTER the server is stabilized. (Raz has too much on his plate right now to be setting up a new chat app)
I'm sorry to those who did use the chat function in a responsible way, and we apologize for the short notice of its removal. Please feel free to utilize our wonderful forum, and of course we hope to see you in game as well!

I believe if it was not only malfunctioning, but also being abused, I think it's fair enough for the Blastchat to be removed for the time being. Thank you for the update, Sameth. Alhough, I think it would be nice, once Raz has the main server finally optimized and a bit more time on his paws, it would be nice to implement a proper and well-functioning chat. c:

Although this is very disapointing, I completely understand. But some people can't use the game so they went to the chat to satisfy their RP needs. I happen to be one of these people as this game doesn't work that well with a MacBook OS X (It must be this model,because my sister's MacBook Air runs it perfectly) so now that the chat has been taken down,not only will I be hard pressed to find a chat that had the same element as this,but I'm also going to miss a lot of people that were on that chat. I think it could've been fixed with a "3 strikes your out" kind of rule,also with a couple of known people that we're famillar and active with the chat and could be used with to moderate it. But I don't run things around here,I'l miss the chat.

It wasn't because we couldn't find moderators, it's because mod functions weren't working. Which meant we couldn't ban or kick abusive users.
Essentially "mods" had the exact same power as a regular user; meaning there weren't actually any mods or a way to assign them.

Yeah, I was there most of the time when the chat was being abused. Some people really do have mouths on them. I enjoyed the chat but I think this was the best course of action, it was used and abused lol.

Given how nasty things were getting in the BlastChat I agree that this was the best decision especially since the moderator functions weren't working right. This will definately hush up the abusers until we can get to the bottom of things. Hopefully once Raz sorts the server trouble we can get a newer & better Chat app that everyone can enjoy again. Even though it's sad to hear about the disabling/removal of the chat, I agree that it was for the best. Kiddies will be kiddies after all. They'll learn soon enough. Thankye' for posting this update Sameth.

I'll just put my 2 cents in here, for good measure.
I really do like this update. I only went to the chat one or two times, and each time I went, there was a single person who wouldn't stop cursing. So thank you, moderators, for removing this chat. I thank you with my mouth full of fruit roll-ups. (HOMEMADEONES)

I think it's sad that the chat has been removed...some of us have been in the chats for a long time. it's a shame to see them go, i think...i really hope they bring them back soon

Overall, I think this is fairly reasonable. I understand the reasoning as to why it was removed- Especially since the mods couldn't do anything about the chat-abusive users.
I never really did get on the chat, so I don't really see any cons to this.

I hope to see the chat back up eventually, since I personally dislike the game. Though I have seen some users that really abuse the chat. So, I understand taking it down because you can't moderate it.
Please put it back up when you can though.

Though it is very unfortunate the chat had to be rid of, I must speak for those who had troubles with the game, so they relied on the FH chat. I understand that many people on the chat did defy the rules, but again, the words that were spoken, were rarely even directed towards each other. Very little people, used the words against each other, but the those people, weren't as respectful and mature as the regulars on the chat. But, I also must speak for those who didn't speak themselves. Even on the previous chat, where the MODs had their banning and kicking options, they neglected the chat, letting people get away with this, it progressed and became a natural thing on the chat, because the MODs where either on the game, or doing other things. So, in all, it's both faults that the chat became such a place. I'd also like to bring up the subject, that in ways, this chat going down is a good thing, as long as a new one is put up. Since the update, many people couldn't stand the chat, the update made many very disappointed and believe this update was one step back for Blastchat. In the end, this should be a good thing.
Let us all hope that once things have settled down, Raz can find us a suitable chat, that fits everyone's needs.

To be honest I never came on the chat since there first time I decided to talk to people ad just say hi.
I was called a noob just for saying that, as I remember. I never really liked them too much, so I'm perfectly fine with the Blastchat being removed. I don't care if it's gone forever or not, but I think it would be good to put it back when you like. I have to admit, it was a good feature in a way.
If you can't moderate it then it's good to remove it honestly for a bit of time, in my opinion.
Good luck to Razmirz while he's fixing issues with the server too. ^^
P.S. No offense to anyone who likes the Blastchat. c: Just my opinion really, I'm sure you guys had better opinions on it.

I used to go on the chat almost 24/7, and what most of the people put on there was certainly abusing the usage of the chat. I think it is good that the chat was put down for the time being, though as some people have said, it was nice to have. And with the chat down, those chat abusers will go find perhaps something better to do in life.
I hope to see the game server again soon, best of luck to those who are fixing it.

The chat was a nice feature to the website. I never really got noticed in Feral-Heart very much or find nay good RPS, so I went to the chat. I will be missing all my friends for the time being but, I completely understand. I do hope once the server is stabilized, Raz can find a nice Chat App that everyone can enjoy and go RP to satisfy themselves since many people can't get in the game.

Thank you very much for the update, and I think the right choice was made. Even though it's a bit disappointing, for my friends that couldn't get on the game used it, I didn't use the chat much and it doesn't effect me much in any manor. I hope that the chat can be replaced by a more... "Trustworthy" one. As I said before, I approve of the choice that was made. Once again, thanks for the update, Sameth.

Eh its ok. I never knew blastchat. This game really suffers ever since KovuLKD left. Its really kills me. Anyways, I never knew what blastchat looked like...
