I'm rather certain a few of you have already noticed these, but if not I will be sure to bump them in here and explain them a bit further.
With the update of the forum, I've gone ahead and added a few new profile fields that you can edit by clicking the "Profile" tab in the forum menu, and then select "Forum Profile". Forum profile settings is the same menu that allows you to change your signature and avatars so nothing new there, but it should now boast a little bit deeper customization for users and give people around the forum more of a reason to explore peoples profiles.
We can start off with that you can now add your other social pages to be displayed under your avatar in posts/on your profile. You should be able to see an example of this if you look on the left of this very post. List of current ones are:
-DeviantArt
-Youtube
-Tumblr
-Steam
-Twitter
-Skype
They are completely optional, and users are free to use them if they want to more easily be found on these sites and make this forum a bit more of a good hub to share your work or interests, maybe just to get in touch with someone.
Moving on with these profile fields, you may also enter a species that represent your character or you the most around the boards or in game. This list is pre-made with some common ones to choose from. At the current moment it is real existing animals, but just as before this field is completely optional and just a fun little thing. If you feel like particular/common species are missing, let me know and they could probably be added. There's also a field for a user's main group that allows free typing that will once someone visits a profile. If you have a pride, pack or group that you see as your ingame or forum family you can show it to everyone who takes a look. I hope that this will improve awareness around the boards of ingame groups and who might be in which group the most.
As a last one we've now got a nice description field on your pages. This field can be used as many different things such as a bio, or sharing links, or any social matter really. The signature can sometimes be a bit too tight, and maybe you just want to share something about you. These profile fields allow BBcodes so it basically will work like a post you'd make on the forum, only that it's slapped onto your profile for people to see. It is currently set to a limit of 2500 characters which should be good enough for most.

But you can of course photoshop/edit your own pictures and turn them into links and all that other funky stuff. Hopefully we will not find that it cause problems or works wonky as we'd be forced to revert back to just text. But as of now it should give you guys some options to make your profiles pretty or just more interesting.

I actually thought that the new profile features were pretty cool, especially the animals part.
I was curious though, for one of the options, could be like...a hybrid of some sort and then the users could type out the hybrid of creature / animal(s) they would represent or does it just revolve around 'real' / 'purebred' animals(?)
If not, then I understand, just curious ^^;

It's a bit iffy right now. In the haste I added some things like Tigon if I recall correctly as it's something that's can be found in the game quite often, but also made to exist and majority know to exist. At the moment though we probably don't want to aim on getting a bloated list with non existing, and not very commonly used species.
But aiming for a good mix of animals, so even if people have hybrids, they'll be able to pick one that is the closest/majority of their animal.

Then you wouldn't have to go through adding all the species, and if people are a little more unique species-wise, they can be? I don't know if you can though so as always it's just a suggestion. :v

I-I was going to ask if we could please have Alligator on the list.
Mostly because Alligators are fantastic and reptiles need love to.
Otherwise like Tailgate said a bit where you can just type in a species, so you don't have to list them all for us would be great....or something.

A free text field is most likely not going to be an option as users could input anything there even though they probably shouldn't. A dropdown box is what's going to be there or nothing xD
Also liger is not more correct than tigon as it depends on the parents and whether or not the female or male were a tiger/lion.
Looked at the list again and it was Liger that I added not Tigon, so the reference I used earlier was more to make a point as I didn't remember which one it was xD. I guess I could add tigon if people preferred it more or remove both if it felt like too much. Just felt like it could be reasonable as they're common characters in the game from time to time.

I love our new profile features to be honest.
They made me smile when I saw the new changes. Though I would love to suggest if under, "Species" if we could add the selection of other to it for those of us who make our own species, and do not have a category to place. It is only a thought, and is mostly up to the Staff to think over. Though I hope you do take my thoughts into possible consideration. ^^

I love these nifty little features. They may not seem like allot, but they allow us to give some more depth to ourselves should anyone be interested in poking around our profiles. Really awesome work you're doing guys, even in the smallest of places!

Hybrids can easily be marked as "chimera"'s tbh.

I've never had an issue when it comes to choosing your animal since I've always loved wolves but as said above 'chimera' can be used as a replacement of hybrid.

I've never had an issue when it comes to choosing your animal since I've always loved wolves but as said above 'chimera' can be used as a replacement of hybrid.
