A black wolf with emerald eyes lay in the middle of a flower-filled meadow, his emerald eyes glittering in the moonlight. His mate Jade, the queen was expecting three pups. He wondered what his beautiful pups would look like, he snapped back to reality as he heard a familiar voice. "Hello, my lovely Riahn. How are things?" Riahn whipped around and he seen his beautiful copper mate walk over to him. "I feel that the time is soon for the giving of the princes or princesses. I will be ready, they'll be gorgous, Riahn, like you." Riahn's heart swelled with pride as he looked into Jade's eyes. "They'll shine as bright as you, my love." Before Jade could reply, a pale orange tigress with amber eyes padded into view. "I have a prophecy, your majesty."
"Lilly, I was expecting you here. What is it you'd like to tell me?" Riahn replied.
Lilly murmured as she gazed not at any of the royals but towards the sky.
"Upoun a bloodred sky he howls,
Like wind stirs the trees,
On the game of chess,
Black wages war on White,
The girl who was wise,
Turned her back on us,
Don't push your wishes high,
The storm is nigh,
Set the shadow to the storm,
As the clovers bristle through the love meadow,
The rain'll never stop as lightning passes by,
Until the Four will stop the army of Black."
Riahn's ear twitched. What the stars was that supposed to mean? He asked his aid pleadingly. "Do you have a single clue of what it would mean, Lilly?"
The pretty tigress shook her head and spoke. "No, i'm sorry, I haven't got a clue." The tigress padded off deep into her thoughts.
Riahn exchanged glances with Jade. This meant something important! Riahn shook his head as he watched the sun rise with his mate, wondering if the prophecy was such a big deal....

Chapter two~
A snow leopard with the eyes of dark green held a cougar slightly smaller than him in his jaws. "Argh! Get off me you rabbit-brained idiot!" snarled the cougar, his amber eyes gleaming with hatred for the leopard.
"Oh, shut up! You're going to speak with Riahn, sir." growled the leopard, his claws unsheathed, ready to strike if the hostile cougar attacked.
Riahn? the cougar thought, his eyes glowing with interest.
Garin dropped the cougar as a muscular black wolf with emerald eyes pad into the clearing. He spoke in a deep but caring voice. "Well done, Garin. This is your first arrest, I am pleased that you were fast enough to catch him. As for you, thief," the black male turned his emerald gaze to the cougar. "What is your name?"
Hanso growled, his fur bristling. "Why should I tell you?"
Riahn rolled his eyes and barked. "Just tell us, you arrogant feline!"
Hanso was taken aback and he murmured: "Hanso Ibsilim, Hanso for short."
Riahn nodded and he smiled. "Better, now Garin would you mind showing the cougar the prisions? Tell him that there are cubs and pups to be fed!"
Garin nodded, pleased and batted the thief with unsheathed claws. Garin's claws made Hanso wince with pain as he walked on. Hanso was thrown with in a muddy burrow, his silver fur splattered with icky brown mud. He HATED getting his fur wet. God, why are people so complicated these days? he wondered bitterly, his tail twitching with annoyance.

Lovely story so far! I am enjoying reading this and I definitely look forward to more :3 I love that you're mixing felines and canines in the story and that it's not just about wolves. And the prophecy poem is so flowing and mysterious. I really love it :)

Chapter three~
Hanso growled as Garin passed by, he was so arrogant and attention-wanting! How he hated dudes like that! Just then the most beautiful feline padded over to him. Hello Gorgeous! he almost said aloud and kept his mouth shut. "Um, yes?" The she-feline was a leopard, identical to Garin, she said in a smooth tone. "Hello, I am Zuri, my annoying brother is Garin. He drives me insane, I know how you feel."
Hanso chuckled. "Finally someone who understands! I can't believe you're related to him, it's crazy!"
Zuri giggled. "Yeah, you can say that. I don't understand it either."
Hanso sighed and he lay on his back. "Why do I have to be in this stupid burrow?" he said irritably.
Zuri shrugged. "You're a scoundrel, you stole from the food stash for yourself and you don't know that there are children here."
Hanso rolled his eyes, even she never understood! "You don't know why I stole, i'm STARVING, i'm all alone and I have no more brother, we were seperated."
Zuri looked at him with sympathy. "I-I'm sorry."
Hanso sighed. "It's okay, Zuri. It's not your fault."

A howl of pain erupted from Riahn and Jade's den then after a few moments there was silence. A tigress padded over to the scene as she looked inside with pure love. There were three pups, two boys and one girl. Riahn looked at them with pride and he said softly. "They're as beautiful as you. What should we name them, my love?
Jade smiled as she licked her pups. "Misha for the girl, Storm and Shadow for the two boys."
The three opened their eyes at once, Shadow had blue eyes, white paws, a white chest and a black pelt. Storm had a lighter black than Shadow and he had the eyes of emerald like his father. Misha had grey fur, green eyes and a black splotch on her tail like her mother.
The tigress by the name of Lilly looked at them equally with pride and mystery. She imagined them as the three but who could the fourth pup be? The words of the prophecy echoed in her mind, she wondered if the new parents were curious as well.

Lilly shook her head and she cleared it away, this wasn't the time to discuss prophecies with herself.

Chapter four~
Caylis the lynx looked at her sister, Isca with disgust as her sister licked her paw, she had to be so perfect while she was treated like a peasant! Oh yeah, she was a peasant, she snorted in contempt at her older sister. Isca promised that they'd be best friends forever but Isca threw her into the trash while she was appointed as a royal. The reason why she was a royal was because of her dreams she had to avoid peril i the pride, but all the others treated her like dirt! Ugh! she thought in frustration and boiling jealousy. "How would you like it if we switched ranks, huh?" she growled to herself.
Isca padded over to her sister as she lay beside her. "What's wrong?"
Caylis growled. "None of your business!" She padded away from her sister as Isca attempted to spit something back. Instead she heard the news about Riahn and Jade's pups and padded over to see them. She saw a light grey she-pup curled up beside her black-furred brothers, she found this adorable, at least they would understand when they were older, hopefully.
A young arctic fox pup by the name of Clover bolted over to the new pups. "Momma! Look at the pups, they'll be my best friends when they're older!" Her mother, Frost looked at the pups with warm eyes. "Congratulations, you two! They'll be wonderful pups..."
Lilly looked at Clover in interest, she was a fox pup, not a wolf but did that matter if she was one of the four? Only time would tell this.
Hanso and Zuri were now best friends as they padded through the camp, chattering about. Garin snorted at Hanso, where was the friendship that he and his sister had? Instead she had to fall for that thief! I know she likes him. Deep down inside, she feels something for him.
Hanso saw the crowd at Jade and Riahn's den, what was all the fuss about? Jade's mother and father, Aria and Thunder was padding in as well, Thunder sure seemed grumpy! Was he always grumpy? he thought irritably. "Worse than my father, he really needs to get a life!" he muttered under his breath. Zuri was peeking beside Aria and Thunder, her eyes round with pleasure. Hanso popped in as he saw the most cutest pups he ever seen in his life even when he wasn't usually fond for pups or cubs. "What's their names?" he whispered.
Jade smiled. "The grey one is Misha, the light black one is Storm and the pitch black one is Shadow. Now, I need a long rest, will you all let me rest?" she said tiredly, letting out a large yawn and closing her eyes.
The felines and canines padded out of the den at the queen's orders. A red fox by the name of Caladon watched the pups from afar with kind eyes, he was the captain, the second in command for the pride. They would make wonderful pups! he thought joyfully.
(Chapter four is done, I'm on a roll! x3 Do you guys think that Clover would be one of the four? Tell me what you like best and what I need to improve on!)

Awww, thank you, Sura! I didn't believe that my story could be like you said it xD Well your wishes will come true later, I know who the fourth is, I also feel bad for Caylis, she's one of my favourite and you should see what happens later with her. HINT: Very sad and try to guess what'll happen next :P

Chapter five~
Few weeks have passed since the pups were born, Aria, their grandmother was playing tag with Misha. "I'm gonna get ya!" said Aria, baring her teeth playfully. "Ah! Grandma's it!" whined Misha, panting as she ran.
Storm was with Clover, play wrestling together, Storm and Clover were the best of friends, they went everywhere together and they were like littermates. Clover's mother, Frost smiled at the two from afar.
Shadow was hanging about with Hanso and Zuri, Shadow stuck his tongue out and said repeatedly. "Hanso and Zuri sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Hanso let his paw slide over his face. "No, no. You've got it all wrong, Shadow. We're just friends."
Shadow giggled. "Sure you are."
Storm looked over to Clover and he yipped. "Clover, wanna play tag with sis and grandma?"
Clover nodded. "Oh yeah! Clover is in the house!"
Meanwhile, Riahn and Jade watched their pups with pride but then a big cougar, bigger than Hanso came into camp, calling. "Hanso?"
The clearing went silent as all eyes were on the bigger cougar. Then a voice yowled with joy. "XANDER!" Hanso nuzzled the cougar. "I haven't seen you in ages, bro!"
Thunder, Storm, Shadow and Misha's grandfather also the mate of Aria padded over to Hanso. "You know this rogue?" he growled.
Hanso whipped around and he growled. "Of course! He's my brother, Xander! We were separated because of our step-father."
Storm whispered to his grandmother. "Grandma, who's the big cougar beside Hanso?"
Aria shook her head. "Not a clue, dearie."
Xander looked at them all with no fear. "Sorry to interrupt you all but I need to get Hanso back home."
Shadow gasped. "But I don't want him to leave!"
Hanso whispered to his brother. "Why don't you stay here? It's better here than that hellhole; a thousand times better."
Xander nodded. "Fine with me but it is up to your leader."
Riahn stepped forward. "You may stay as long as you like."
Caladon, Riahn's captain stepped forward and bowed his head in repect. "Welcome to the Aerialin Pride, both of you."
The two brothers nodded. "Thank you, sir."
Riahn placed his tail on Hanso's shoulder as he said. "You and your brother are a full member of the Aerialin Pride, welcome."

A dark purple she-wolf with gold eyes, black angel wings and a black underbelly zoomed through the forest, her eyes gleaming red as she landed on a tough tree branch of a great sycamore. Her wings unfurled, she beat her wings and soared through the dusk sky. She never felt this alive in her life! "Lilith! What are you doing?" a familiar voice chuckled. Lilith whipped around and she saw her companion, Killer looking up at her. "Hey Killer," she said and she landed on the branch that Killer sat on. "What's up?" she finished as she furled her wings. "Smell blood, I know that." Killer licked his lips, Lilith's mouth watered but she shook her head. "Leave them, I already got a Moose for us." Little did the two know that they would soon create a pack unimaginable with the help of a 'friend'...

Chapter six~
Hanso purred as he recieved his acceptance, he nodded. "I'll do my best, sir and so will Xander."
Xander flattened his ears, he certainly wasn't used to being in a pride unlike Hanso. Instead he said. "Yes, sir, I shall do whatever your pride wants me to."
Shadow barked. "Yeah, they're staying with us!"
Lilly watched the new members from afar, it seemed as if there was something in Hanso that everyone would believe he would be a great member. She also watched Shadow, Storm, Misha and Clover closely, they seemed in shape to be the Four but they were just pups, she was going a little bit too far in the future.
A white pup by the name of Auri sat in the fields as she was grooming herself, she yawned as she lay in the nursery. Auri was always so bored lately, but why? She shrugged, closed her beautiful blue eyes as she fell asleep...
Caylis was looking out of the clearing, into the forest, she just saw Thunder and Aria walk out together, why were they going out alone? Surely there should be more than two members in a patrol?
Lilly recieved a vision as the clouds were painted blood-red. "Blood will be spilled tonight, be careful, for danger is closer than you think..."

Chapter seven~
Hanso seen Thunder come back but with no sign of Aria, he froze as he saw Thunder's muzzle was full of blood. Was there a fight between him and Aria? He narrowed his eyes in suspicion as he looked at Thunder. Unfortunately, Thunder noticed this and growled. "What?"
Hanso shook his head. "Nothing, sir."
Riahn and Jade were hunting together, Riahn thought he saw Aria's white fur he froze. Her pelt was painted with blood. "Oh, Jade! It's your mother!" he wailed.
Jade's eyes were full of tears, she cried on her mate's shoulder. "Mother, no please, don't leave me!"
Hanso followed Thunder, he was up to something, he was sure of it! He climbed up a tree and he walked silently on the branches, he saw Thunder saying something to Jade and Riahn they left a few moments later. When Thunder was supposedly all alone, he slashed Aria's throat, making more blood gushing out. Hanso's blood ran cold, Thunder had murdered Aria! He sprang without thinking and tackled Thunder. "YOU!"

Chapter eight~
Thunder evaded Hanso's attack, he took a blow to Hanso's side, sending him crashing into an oak tree but Hanso unsheathed his claws and gripped the bark just in time before it hit his face. He pushed his hind feet off the tree, he spun around as he was 4 feet above Thunder's head and sliced Thunder's nose with one paw, in a split second Hanso's claw ripped open Thunder's left ear. A howl of pain erupted from Thunder's maw as his eyes blazed with cold rage and hatred. "I'm going to slit your throat open, you foolish spy!"
Hanso laughed. "Oh! I'm so scared! Bring it on, you insane psychopath!"
Thunder lunged at him, knocking the breath out of him, landing on his side and he grunted before shaking his head, getting up. "Come at me bro!"
Riahn tilted his head as he heard howls of pain come from the forest, he growled. "What the hell is going on in there?" The king whispered to his pups who were sitting next to him. "Why don't you go to your mother? She'll be expecting you."
Shadow yipped. "Okay, daddy! But where are you going?"
Riahn said gently to the black pup. "Going to see your grandpa, see what he's up to."
Shadow said cheerily. "Okay, dad. Storm, bring your girlfriend with you, she seems jolly."
Storm growled, he wagged his tail playfully. "Clover's not my girlfriend!"
"Oh yeah, get it on then!"
Storm and Shadow were fighting together playfully as Riahn ran over to the sounds of Hanso and Thunder's growls but then an eerie silence split the air. He froze as he saw Thunder smirk as he stood over Hanso, he growled. "Don't tell anyone about this or you'll be in deep hell!"
Hanso growled aggresively. "Thank you for telling me that fabulous idea! Oi, Riahn, Thunder killed Aria! I saw him with my own eyes!"
Riahn gasped as he looked at Thunder and whispered. "Is this true?"
Thunder whipped around as he snarled. "So? What if I did?"
Riahn growled, unsheathing his claws. "Get out of here, Thunder."
Thunder snarled and lunged at Riahn. "Not if I kill you first and take the throne!"
Hanso gasped. "RIAHN!" He tackled Thunder, the murderer wolf was flailing his paws, Hanso raised his paw and scored his claws across Thunder's throat. "You took the girl so I took your life...." Hanso murmured.
Thunder shuddered, his eyes dark and he closed his eyes, baring his teeth in a snarl before going limp.
Thunder was dead.

Chapter nine~
Hanso looked at his paws, wet with scarlet pools of blood surrounded them, he panted as he looked at Riahn, thank goodness he was alright! Inside him, he felt ashamed, he shouldn't have killed Thunder but the cougar knew that it was right for the king to be safe. Riahn looked at him in astonishment, he whispered "You saved me from him!"
Hanso blushed as he licked his paw in embarrassment. "Aw, no. It was nothing really."
Riahn chuckled and he patted him on the head. "Just wait until the pride finds about, you'll have a lot of girls chasing you around but first ash your paws, they're bloody."
Hanso pricked his ears, speaking of girls, Zuri! She must've been chewing her claws for him, he hoped that she'd chase him around.
Riahn entered with Hanso behind him, everyone was looking at Hanso with curious eyes, eyes hungry for the news.
Riahn bowed his head and he flicked his tail to Hanso. "Thunder has killed his own mate and my mate's mother, Aria. Hanso saw him with his own eyes and he attacked him, I heard the noises and seen Thunder pinning the cougar down and I told him to get out of here, he vowed to kill me but the amazing thing is... Hanso saved me from him and took his life!"
Gasps and murmurs of excitement boomed like a flash, Jade was devastated, Hanso felt bad for her, he knew what it was like to be treated horribly by his step-father, Denial. He gave her a look of sympathy but Jade didn't reply, she was crying on Riahn's shoulder.
Lilly watched from afar, she shivered. "I sense that Thunder is still around, he has crossed from the living to the afterlife. He still breathes though he will suffer greatly."
Shadow, Storm, Misha and Clover were shivering, they didn't want to hear any more of that scary story! "I can't believe grandpa killed Grandma!" Shadow gasped.
"I know, how could he?" Storm growled.
Misha was whining, crouching in fear as she huddled next to Clover who was comforting her.
Zuri was watching Hanso with admiration as he was talking to Caladon, the captain red fox. She had a dreamy look on her face as she looked at him, she heard a familiar voice jolt her back to reality. "Ahem, I see you have feelings for him, Zuri." Zuri whipped around and saw her brother, Garin smile at her. "Ooh! Zuri admits her love to Hanso!"
Zuri growled at her brother. "Oh, shut up."
Garin smiled and he said childishly. "Aw, i'm so sorry, what a baby..."
Zuri growled as she whipped around. "I won't say it!"
Garin chuckled. "HANSO! ZURI LO-!"
Zuri slapped him with her tail, growling. "Shut. Up."
Meanwhile Caylis brought in the body of Aria for a memorial, she placed it down gently, she bowed her head sadly as she looked at Aria, she never deserved to die....

Chapter ten~
Weeks have passed since Thunder's death killed by the former thief. Zuri and Hanso were always hanging out together, getting closer and closer by the minute, Shadow, Storm, Misha and Clover were now apprentices, Shadow's mentor was Hanso, Storm's mentor was Caladon, Misha's was Garin and Clover's was Xander. Garin was showing Misha around the territory as he walked into a beautiful meadow. "This is the meadow of dreams. Legend is foretold that a goddess by the name of Jaluma will save her subjects from all harm, shielding the living and the dead that served her well."
Misha was amazed at the thought of a goddess and she said with interest. "Do you believe in this legend?"
Garin smiled. "Yes, I do, but Jaluma knows what will happen next."
Clover was alone that day, she was walking into the forest, a white butterfly with pink spots on it's delicate wings landed on the arctic fox's nose, she giggled as it flew away. Clover ran after it, thinking. Where is it taking me? After all, pups will be pups! Just then an amazing thing happened. Whoosh! Wind surrounded the butterfly and transformed into a beautiful jade-coloured wolf with the wings of leaves itself. "Whoa!" Clover gasped as she looked in awe at the pretty wolf. The dazzling wolf whispered. "Don't be afraid, child. I am Jaluma, goddess of nature."
Clover gasped. "I heard of you in stories mom used to tell me! I never thought that they were true!"
Jaluma touched her head with her paw. "They are true, darling. Now let me show you what I am here for."
A picture of a leaf with wind surrounding it appeared on a tree nearby. "That is a symbol that you can understand, you can talk to spirits but you need a little practice."
Clover tilted her head. "Cool but how do I know if you're telling the truth?"
Jaluma smiled and she said softly. "You'll know."
Garin and Misha entered a dark cave with a golden crystal shining, it seemed like this cave never saw the light. "This is the Cave of Whispering Spirits. Lilly speaks with the gods here when she touches the crystal with her nose."
Misha smiled. "Cool, say what's that lake? I'm so thirsty!"
Garin purred. "I can wait."
Misha lapped up a few mouthfuls and she fell on the cave floor, she was gasping for air. Poison! Garin gasped. "Misha! Don't worry, i'll bring you to Lilly!"

Chapter eleven~
Garin with Misha on his back bolted to camp and lay her gently in Lilly's den, Garin panicked. "Lilly, Misha's been poisoned!"
Auri the white wolf pup had a strange dream, a long familiar smell, her parents. Her parents were covered with blood, she bolted awake, she couldn't think about it anymore. She looked out into the forest and ran in there, she had to find her parents!
Lilly looked at Misha with a bundle of herbs and began giving her yarrow which made her vomit. Lilly sensed the poision was out of her system but she didn't entirely know if she was safe. The tigress said to Garin. "I'll take care of her, you may go."
Garin obeyed and walked away, thinking. I hope she's okay, if she dies, it'll be all my fault!
Meanwhile Hanso was sent on a mission to kill the bears on their territory who were killing their cubs and pups. He felt pity, he couldn't stand killing another creature so soon after killing Thunder. Hanso thought that Riahn took him the position of an assassin to make him feel bad but was it a test to see if he felt pity for others? He climbed onto a sycamore tree as he kept watch from above, he just scented bear, it was fresh!
A big brown shape stood on it's rear legs as it sniffed, getting prepared to strike, Hanso unsheathed his claws and landed on it's back. "RARGH!" it roared as it tried to shake him off. Hanso wasn't shaken, he sliced one ear open, he bit deep into his shoulder and slashed it's flank with his hind paws. Just then a yellow figure zoomed into action, a screech erupting from it's mouth. "Hanso! Watch out!" He recognized the voice, Zuri!
Caylis was watching Riahn, she smirked. He couldn't walk because he broke his leg, nobody was watching, they were all out watching Misha or on a patrol. She bolted over, grabbed his scruff and dragged him to a cave where she had slept in earlier. Riahn growled. "What are you doing?"
Caylis smirked and laughed. "Say your last words!" She raised a paw and scored it across his throat, he gasped and he shivered. For some reason, she felt so happy when she murdered something, revenge for letting her become a peasant, being treated like dirt and for sucking up to Isca! "That's what you get for sucking up to my sister, treating me like dirt AND letting me have this horrible life!" she snarled.
Riahn gulped his last breath, Caylis ran away with no remorse while leaving him behind as Riahn closed his eyes.
